Product Design Trends in 2024 | Teenage EngineeringsPixeldarts
The realm of product design is a constantly changing environment where technology and style intersect. Every year introduces fresh challenges and exciting trends that mold the future of this captivating art form. In this piece, we delve into the significant trends set to influence the look and functionality of product design in the year 2024.
How Race, Age and Gender Shape Attitudes Towards Mental HealthThinkNow
Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

✅What is C++ Programming?
C++ is an enhanced and extended version of C programming language, developed by Bjarne Stroustrup in 1979 as part of his Ph.D. project. Bjarne developed what he called ‘C with Classes’ (later renamed C++) because he felt limited by the existing programming languages that were not ideal for large scale projects. He used C to build what he wanted because C was already a general-purpose language that was efficient and fast in its operations.

✅What is C++ Programming?
✅C++ Career Prospects:
With just C++ programming expertise, you will have excellent job opportunities, salaries, and career prospects. However, for a career based on programming languages such as Java and Python (which are in more demand than C++) or for careers based on front-end, back-end, and full-stack
2. Wo kommt der beste Safran her?
Andere
Länder wie Spanien, Kaschmir in Indien oder
Marokko produzieren auch hochwertigen Safran,
jedoch kann die Qualität je nach Anbauweise
variieren. Es ist daher ratsam, beim Kauf auf
Herkunft und Qualität zu achten.
3. Wo in der Schweiz wird Safran
angebaut?
Ja, es gibt einige Safranbauern in der
Schweiz, die aufgrund des alpinen Klimas
und der Höhenlage jedoch nur geringe
Mengen produzieren können.
Die Hauptanbaugebiete befinden sich im
Kanton Wallis und im Kanton
Graubünden.
4. Kann man Schweizer Safran kaufen?
Schweizer Safran kann in spezialisierten
Geschäften oder direkt bei den
Safranbauern erworben werden. Auch
auf einigen Märkten und Messen wird
Schweizer Safran angeboten. Eine
Möglichkeit ist beispielsweise der
„Marché du Safran“ in Mund, wo
verschiedene Safranbauern aus der
Region ihre Produkte anbieten.
5. Was ist Safran und was macht ihn so besonders?
6. Ist Safran wirklich gesund?
Safran ist reich an Nährstoffen wie
Vitamin C, Eisen, Kalium und
Magnesium. Zudem hat es antioxidative
Eigenschaften, die helfen können,
Schäden durch freie Radikale zu
reduzieren. Es gibt jedoch keine
wissenschaftlichen Belege dafür, dass
Safran eine signifikante
gesundheitsfördernde Wirkung hat.
7. Was steckt im Safran?
Safran enthält verschiedene
Verbindungen, darunter Crocin,
Picrocrocin und Safranal. Crocin ist für
die leuchtend gelbe Farbe verantwortlich,
Picrocrocin für den bitteren Geschmack
und Safranal für den einzigartigen
Geschmack und Geruch.
8. Wo wird Safran verwendet?
Safran wird in vielen verschiedenen
Gerichten verwendet, wie beispielsweise
in Paella, Risotto, Curry, Bouillabaisse
erhalten.
10. Was passiert, wenn man zu viel Safran
konsumiert?
Safran sollte nur in Massen konsumiert
werden, da es in grossen Dosen toxisch
sein kann. Symptome einer
Überdosierung können Übelkeit,
Erbrechen, Schwindel und
Taubheitsgefühl sein.
11. Tipps zum Safran?
Um das Beste aus Ihrem Safran
herauszuholen, sollten Sie ihn an einem
kühlen, trockenen Ort lagern und ihn vor
Licht und Feuchtigkeit schützen.
Ausserdem sollten Sie darauf achten, nur
hochwertigen Safran zu kaufen, der frei
von Verunreinigungen und
Beimischungen ist.
12. Safran ist ein kostbares Gewürz und wird
oft in kleinen Mengen verkauft. Beim
Kauf von Safran sollte man auf die
Qualität achten und sich für einen
vertrauenswürdigen Händler
entscheiden. Es ist ratsam, Safran in
Fadenform zu kaufen, da gemahlener
Safran häufig gestreckt oder gefälscht
wird.
13. Welches Gemüse passt zu Safran?
Safran passt gut zu Gemüsegerichten
wie Ratatouille oder Gemüsepaella. Auch
in Kombination mit Fisch oder
Meeresfrüchten entfaltet Safran sein
volles Aroma. Für eine besondere
Geschmacksnote kann man Safran auch
in Reisgerichten wie Pilaw oder Biryani
verwenden.
14. Wie erkennt man echten Safran?
Wasser. Echter Safran gibt seine rote Farbe
sofort ab, während gefälschter Safran seine
Farbe nur langsam oder gar nicht abgibt. Indem
man auf diese Faktoren achtet, kann man
echten Safran von gefälschtem Safran
unterscheiden und sicherstellen, dass man das
teure Gewürz in seiner reinen Form bekommt.
20. Was bedeutet Safran macht den Kuchen Gel?
21. Ist Safran und Kurkuma das Gleiche?
Safran und Kurkuma haben verschiedene
Geschmacksprofile und stammen aus
unterschiedlichen Pflanzenfamilien,
obwohl beide Gewürze eine leuchtend
gelbe Farbe haben. Safran wird aus den
Stempeln der Krokusblüte gewonnen und
hat ein blumiges, aber auch leicht
bitteres Aroma.
22. Kurkuma hingegen stammt aus der Wurzel der
Kurkuma-Pflanze und hat ein mildes, erdiges
Aroma. Safran wird oft als Würzmittel und
Farbstoff in der Küche verwendet, während
Kurkuma eher als Gewürz genutzt wird. Safran
ist aufwendig zu gewinnen und teuer, während
Kurkuma preisgünstiger und leichter erhältlich
ist.
23. Wie bekommt man mehr Farbe aus dem
Safran?
Um die Farbe aus dem Safran zu
intensivieren, sollten Sie ihn vor dem
Einweichen in heissem Wasser oder
Brühe in einem Mörser zerkleinern. Sie
können auch ein paar Tropfen
Zitronensaft hinzufügen, um die Farbe zu
verstärken.
24. Was ist die höchste Qualität von Safran
und wie wird diese gemessen?
Die höchste Qualität von Safran wird als
„Coupe“ bezeichnet. Sie wird nach ihrem
Crocin-Gehalt gemessen, der den Anteil
des Farbstoffs im Safran bestimmt. Je
höher der Crocin-Gehalt, desto höher die
Qualität des Safrans. Coupe-Safran hat
einen Crocin-Gehalt von mindestens 250.
Geringere
Qualitäten wie „Grade B“ oder „Mongra"
enthalten weniger Farbe und Aroma, da sie
gelbe und weisse Teile des Stempels enthalten.
Die Safranqualität hängt von verschiedenen
Faktoren ab, wie Anbauregion und
Ernteverfahren.
26. Negin: Dies ist die höchste Qualitätsstufe von
Safran. Negin hat einen hohen Gehalt an Crocin
und Picrocrocin, was ihm eine intensive rote
Farbe und einen starken Geschmack verleiht.
27. Sargol: Dies ist die zweithöchste Qualitätsstufe
von Safran. Sargol hat keine gelben Stempel
und besteht aus reinen roten Fäden. Es hat
einen hohen Gehalt an Crocin und einen
intensiven Geschmack.
28. Pushal: Dies ist die dritte Qualitätsstufe von
Safran. Pushal enthält sowohl rote als auch
gelbe Stempel und hat eine etwas geringere
Konzentration an Crocin und Picrocrocin als
Negin und Sargol.
29. Konj: ist die niedrigste Safran-Qualität und
besteht aus gebrochenen oder ganzen
Stempeln mit einem niedrigeren Gehalt an
Crocin und Picrocrocin. Die Qualität von Safran
wird durch den Gehalt dieser Verbindungen
bestimmt, die Farbe, Geschmack und Geruch
beeinflussen. Eine höhere Konzentration
bedeutet höhere Qualität und Preis.
30. Was ist der Unterschied zwischen Coupe
Safran und Safran Super Negin?
Coupe & Super Negin Safran sind
hochwertige Safranqualitäten mit
unterschiedlichen Herkunftsregionen,
Faden-Grössen und -Farben, Aromen und
Geschmacksprofilen. Coupe Safran hat
mittelgrosse, dunkelrote bis braune Fäden
mit blumigem Aroma, während Super Negin
Safran grössere, tiefrote Fäden mit erdigem
Aroma und süsslichem Geschmack hat.
31. Safran ist ein einzigartiges und teures
Gewürz, das in der Küche vielseitig
einsetzbar ist. Es verleiht Gerichten eine
leuchtende gelbe Farbe und hat einen
einzigartigen Geschmack. Es eignet sich
besonders gut für die Zubereitung von
Risotto, Paella, Tee und Süssigkeiten. Beim
