This document provides URLs for 7 Java applet demos developed by SL Corporation using their SL-GMS J/Developer tools. The demos include applications for communications, process control, card racks, network management, mold injection status, graphs, and command and control.
The document provides an update on Chengdu, China including:
1) Two fundraising events in December raised over 154,000 RMB for earthquake relief efforts.
2) Chengdu now has 10 foreign consulates, the third most of any city in China, with Spain, Philippines and South Africa planning to open consulates soon.
3) Beverly Garden apartment complex in Tongzilin area is recommended for expat housing, with units ranging from 130-200 square meters with 2-4 bedrooms available furnished or unfurnished.
National science education standards will be implemented in Georgia and other states in the coming years. This change could help support the Fernbank Science Center in DeKalb County, which provides hands-on science learning for K-12 students but struggles with budget cuts. Improving science education standards and teacher training, as well as partnerships between schools, universities, and science organizations, can help make science more engaging and relevant for students and better prepare them for future careers that require strong math and science skills. Investing in science education will benefit students and help meet the growing need for engineers and researchers.
Students at a primary school in Pudupalayam Block, Thiruvannamalai were buying unhealthy snacks from roadside shops. They brought this issue to their teachers who discussed solutions with the students. They decided to start a savings club where students could save their pocket money in coin boxes provided by teachers. After a period, students opened their boxes and counted their savings which they used to buy school supplies without burdening their parents. The highest saver, Indhra Gandhi of class 4, was gifted by the local panchayat president. Now students save their money in the club instead of wasting it on snacks.

Hallo !
