1. Using of videos in education
 When you watch a videos or TV programs, little and even
deep feelings and emotions are showed, such as
excitement, anger, laughter, relaxation, love, whimsy, or
even boredom. These emotions are often triggered or
heightened by the mood created by specific visual
scenes, the actors, and/or the background music. A
video can have a strong effect on your mind and senses.
Benefits of video use in classroom
 Teachers using video as a teaching aid in the classroom
gain many benefits including greater student interest
and improved reading and literacy skills.
 If we get students engaged in learning process, only
video is clearly an instructional medium that is generates
a much greater amount of interest and enjoyment.
 Using sight and sound, video is the perfect medium for
students who are auditory or visual learners.
 Video engages the students creating interest and
maintaining that interest for longer periods of time.
 Videos provide an innovative and effective means for
educators.
Learning value of video clips in the classroom
 Grab student’s attention.
 Focus students’ concentration.
 Generate interest in class.
 Create a sense of anticipation.
 Energize or relax students for learning exercise.
 Build a connection with other students and instructor.
 Increase memory of content and understanding.
 Foster deeper learning.
 Make learning fun.
 Decrease anxiety and tension
2. Using of Animations in Education
 Define Animation?
 A way of making a movie by using a series of drawings,
computer graphics, or photographs of objects (such as
puppets or models) that are slightly different from one
another and that when viewed quickly one after another
create the appearance of movement.
 We are always looking for new and better ways to educate the
young people. When children are having fun, they tend to
learn better. I feel animation as a training medium offers
exciting possibilities for meeting the needs of 21st century
learners.
Benefits of Animation as an Affective Learning tool
 Enables students to apply Imagination & Rational Thinking.
 Enables students to invent and explore multiple solutions to a problem.
 Enables students to understand the value of reflection and critical judgment
in creative work.
 Facilitates positive peer interaction, including receiving and using feedback.
 Encourages self-motivation to create and problem solve.
 Uses artistic literacy as a natural enhancement to learning in other content
areas.
 Fosters positive attitudes toward Art & Animation.
 Introduces career possibilities
3. Using of Movies in Education
 Teacher can use film to enhance learning across the curriculum,
whatever your level of expertise. Teaching in subjects from English
and Modern Foreign Languages to Science can benefit from using
simple cameras for recording, note-taking or reviewing, or from
showing short clips to enhance children’s understanding of a
topic.
Film is increasingly being recognized by teachers as a valuable
tool that can be used to re-engage young people with the
curriculum and increase their overall motivation for learning.
Film is very popular with young people. They are not afraid to use
it in lessons, and enjoy doing so. Film is a tool you can use to
motivate and engage pupils in the classroom, and contextualize
difficult areas of the curriculum.
Benefits of Films in Education
 Film has a positive impact across all levels of learning ability.
 Use of films can not only develop social behaviors and understanding for
all abilities, but can offer rewards to students too.
 Film can be used as a text to develop learners’ critical thinking,
analytical and contextualization skills - skills equally applicable to and
transferable between film and literary texts
 Film captures the imagination and brings the written word to life.
 Children and young people immediately connect with film – it can then
offer an introduction to new ideas, topics, locations, people, cultures
and languages that can be tied in to cross-subject, curricula learning
 Learning the language of film - how a text is adapted, visualized and
brought to life on screen through camera angles, pace, setting, costume,
color, spoken word, and body language - can help to develop and
broaden literacy and analytical skills, and further contribute to wider
education
 Making film, to support learning, develops a broad range of life and
employability skills through its creative, technical and collaborative
processes.
 In distance education, it is a fact that the rate of learning has increased
by the help of augmenting variety of technologies. Television, as an
audio-visual medium, is one of the effective media in distance education
by its characteristics like widespread coverage of audience, supplying
equality of opportunity, transmitting the human resources to big
audience mass. In distance education the lack of mutual interaction and
face to face education are important. As well, another problem is to
overcome the loneliness feeling of the students. It is possible to make
use of television programs both to obtain face to face education, mutual
interaction and to create the feeling of state of belonging.
4.Use of T.V Broadcast in Education
 Technological developments in the field of communication
can be adapted in the field of education as it is adapted to
many fields of life. Thanks to the new technologies available in
this field and the advantages they provide, television can
already be seen as an outdated tool. Yet as long as the
opportunities it provides still keep its validity, television
technology is not far from the new developments. Thanks to
its special features, television in distance education fulfills the
functions mentioned below:
 Supporting and enhancing teaching
 Instructing
 Explaining , clarifying
 Summarizing
 Motivation and encouragement
 Changing behavior
 Imposing study speed ( determining rate of study)
 Presenting unreachable facts and events
