The Importance Of Leadership In Beowulf
During the Anglo Saxon era, the poem Beowulf came about and portrays many leadership skills still
valid in today s world. In the poem, Beowulf shows skills such as being well known and protecting his
people, he upholds truth and justice, and he holds an inspirational vision through influential actions
and behaviors affecting his followers. The poem serves as great knowledge for people seeking to be
strong, charismatic leaders similar to Beowulf (Loughman). In the article Beowulf and the Teaching of
Leadership Loughman talks how in the epic poem Beowulf it includes ways for people in the current
era to practice and teach these leadership skills to better themselves and others (Loughman). To be a
successful leader, one must be well ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Over this time, he proceeds to kill Grendel, and Grendel s mother (Loughman). This is where
Hrothgar says that Beowulf is, A protector of his people... (McArthur). Beowulf then takes over as
king of Heorot, because of how he demonstrated his strong, essential leadership skills. Leaders can
also become great when they have strong morals. Beowulfs morals are that which he upholds truth and
justice for his people. The truth being that a monster terrorizes Heorot and he will stop at nothing until
it is defeated. He also feels that justice should be done because the monster has taken lives
(Loughman). He then kills the monster that is Grendel, and brings joy and peace to Heorot
(Loughman). Hrothgar also says Beowulf is, Pledged to uphold the standards of truth and justice...
(McArthur). Being a great leader also involves having strong morals to put your people before
yourself. This idea is captivated in Beowulfs leadership skills. A strong leader is an influential person.
This type of person does things that can inspire many people. They can often do things on instinct that
hinder a good result. Other people recognize this and wish to do the same. This is present in Beowulfs
actions. His skill in battle often causes his band of warriors to do the same as he does (Post). When
Beowulf knows the situation and is confident in his strategies, his warriors will often have the same
attitude. They bestow trust in

Success Factors And Risks Of The Company
Success factors and risks Even though AB InBev is the largest beer producer in the world they are still
focused on a growth oriented model. This has lead management to pursue a merger agreement with
MillerCoors, the second largest beer producer in the world. The resulting company will be a mega
brewery, responsible for 30% of the world s beer production (Bray, 2016). Management seems to be
confident that the merger with MillerCoors will increase sales and efficiency in the long run because
they are issuing out long term debt to help finance the project. The next three years will be interesting
as the company prepares the budget to accommodate the extensive 1 billion dollar plus cost of the
merger (Mickle, 2016). Even after the merger is complete the return on the investment make take a
few years to pipeline as best practices gained by the merger need to be evaluated and put into place. In
the meantime while the merger is still going through the necessary approval processes, AB InBev
should be focusing on maintaining steady sales in order to help finance the merger. Quarter 2 results

New Issue Of New Federalism
New Federalism is known as commitment to returning powers to the state governments. Proposed by
President Ronald Reagan, who believed federal grants were just a scandal of imposing the federal
interests on the states. Reagan believed that federal government would allow a more efficient
government within the states and the nation. This reminded America of the main point now of the 10th
amendment that because the states are created under the the federal government, it should work for the
states, and not be overpowered. New Federalism is also known as Competitive Federalism due
consent struggle of the national and local government trying to be equal. Many states liked the idea of
New Federalism because new grants were given to states with less restrictions and states and they
were given a choice on how to spend these grants. With this concept, many laws were made in order to
enforce this New Federalism: the Unfunded Mandates Reform Act of 1995 disallowed Congress from
passing federal programs or services without consulting states on how they would be funded. The
Devolution Revolution in 1994, a movement led by former House Representative, Newt Gingrich, and
by republicans who desired to scale back the federal government though campaigning. Overall with
this time period, including now, we see how Ronald Reagan wanted to cease national government
power through the Supreme Court and appointed justices in the 1980s that would be dedicated to
returning power to the states. This

Should The NFL Be Held Liable for Injuries Suffered by...
The topic I will be discussing in this draft is the debate on whether the National Football League
should be held liable for injuries that their employee s sustained while playing professional football.
The injuries that I will discuss are concussion and traumatic brain injuries related to multiple
concussions. In years past this injury wasn t know n to be as prevalent because that game was played
at a much slower speed. Players in todays game are bigger, faster and stronger than ever. It has been
documented that the players themselves willingly know the risk they are taking yet still take the
chance at playing the game. Players and player group representatives are now seeking compensation
for their player and player s families. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The HMO would be more likely cover such an injury like a concussion or concussion related
symptoms, but the NFL is less likely to do so. The NFL can debate that players make a conscious
decision to participate in a sport where this risk is involved.. The players that are granted coverage
will have top cover form outside parties involved and they can take a look at the historical legislative
involvement in overseeing or regulating professional football.
After the NFL commissioner came under scrutiny from Washington lawmakers on whether or not the
injuries in his sport were the cause of traumatic brain disease. The commissioner enacted a policy that
players had to pass a series of test by a neurologist prior to them being allowed to return to play(
Grove, J) This policy change is similar to a normal employee passing a physical from their primary
Doctor before they could return to work. The Commissioner enacted this policy to prevent players
from returning to the game to soon. The current NFL commissioner Roger Goodell wasn t the first
recognize that his sport had a problem taking care of its players. In 1962 the rule of no Face masking
was enacted. This rule prohibited a player from grabbing another player s facemask (Grove, J 657). In
the late 1970 s an additional rule was enacted. The NFL finally passed a rule prohibiting players from
using their helmets to

Why Is Herbert Hoover Bad
Herbert Hoover was one of the greatest humanitarians of the 20th Century. Throughout WWI he was
hailed as an uncommon man liked by many. Hoover became the Secretary of Commerce 1921 1928
and the 31st President of the US. However, he was hated for not having a big enough role in the Great
Depression and he was blamed for the increasing the poverty of Americans even though the pieces had
already been set. While Hoover did do some things wrong in his time he always had the right meaning
and his good intentions weren t understood. Hoover did the best he could and did more than any other
president before him to end the Depression. As a child Hoover was orphaned at 9 when his parents

Taking Away From The Mozart Effect
This chapter begins but stating exactly what it is going to be talking about which is telling about
music, its importance through theories and then giving evidence. I think what it doesn t tell you is the
valuable knowledge that you will be taking away from the words you read. I know I am not the only
one in this but the main thing that I remember taking away from the Mozart Effect is that when you
have your child listen to Mozart in utero then they would be smarter than if they had not listened to
Mozart. I think it is very interesting that this turned out to be false. The Mozart Effect only really
proved ten minutes of extra skills and that there was no proof of any long term effects. It turns out that

Greedlessness In Washington Irving s The Legend Of Sleepy...
Washington Irving wrote The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in 1820, which tells the story of Ichabod
Crane, a schoolmaster who persistently frightens himself with supernatural beings he supposes he sees
and hears on his way home from school. At one point in the story, Crane rivals for the love of a lady
with a man named Abraham Van Brunt. This man, known as Brom Bones to the townspeople, took
advantage of Ichabod Crane s credulousness to scare him out of town through a prank in which he
impersonated the dreaded Headless Horseman, the ghost of Sleepy Hollow. This caused Ichabod to
flee town out of terror. Ichabod Crane s characteristics of greed, superstition, and fearfulness ended up
causing his downfall. Ichabod Crane s greediness hindered his relationship with the townspeople,
consequently making some people, such as Brom Bones, more than happy to expel Crane from the
town, and others not sorry when he left. Ichabod had a great gluttonous appetite, so he lived
successively a week at a time with his pupils and their families, because they simply could not afford
to house such a gourmand. Moreover, he earned the distaste of the other men of the town while trying
to earn the affections of a lady named Katrina Van Tassel, whom he hoped to marry only because of
her wealth. He knew if he was to marry her, he would have many delicious meals awaiting him. The
pedagogue s mouth watered as he looked upon this sumptuous promise of luxurious winter fare.

Selling A Home Is A Real Estate Agent Essay
Selling a home can be a daunting task for a professional real estate agent. With property promotion,
open houses and a fluctuating market, trial and error usually wins out over book knowledge and
written rules. But, what about the homeowner who decides to sell their home without the help of a
professional. Believe it or not, you may find some of your greatest help in comp homes. When placing
your home on the market for sale, you will inevitably look in your neighborhood for other comp
homes also for sale. Competitively pricing your home will draw in potential buyers more quickly than
pricing your home out of the range of other comp homes in the area. This pricing model only works if
you can find a comp home in your neighborhood. But, how will you know if a home is comparable?
Homeowners should always look at their rival competition for help in selling a home. Visiting the
open houses of other homes in the area, or arranging for a walk through with the owners or real estate
agent handling the sale, will help you to gauge the home s condition, in comparison to your home.
This tactic is also helpful for homeowners selling a home without a real estate agent. Seeing how a
real estate agent offers the information about the comp home, viewing the real estate agent s fliers and
promotion sheets, as well as, seeing the changes or key points a real estate agent stresses during a
walk through will help you to better understand how you should be handling those aspects of your
sale.

How Is Lady Capulet Careless
Lad Capulet= Carelessness In Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet, Lady Capulet showcases that; she
plays as a carless character throughout the play. Firstly, Juliet tries to explain how she does not want to
marry Paris, O sweet my mother, cast me not away! Delay this marriage for a month, a week, or if you
do not, make the bridal bed. In that dim monument where Tybalt lies. (III. V. 198 201) Lady Capulet
replies, Talk not to me, for I ll not speak a word. Do as thou wilt, for I have done with thee. (III.V. 201
202) Here it showcases, that she did not care about her anymore at this point as well with she does not
want anything to do with Juliet. As a mother I would talk to her about the problem and help find a
solution to make things well, but she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Secondly, Lord Capulet tells, his wife about Juliet s marriage and asks, How now wife, have you

gives you thanks. I would the fool were married to her grace. (III.V.139 140) Here it shows, Lady
Capulet does not speak against her husband, Lord Capulet because she does not want to irritate nor
disappoint him and Juliet. Overall, her mother does not stand up for her own daughter s opinions.
Thirdly, when Juliet kneels down on her knees and begs to not marry Paris, I beseech you on my
knees, hear me with patience but to speak a word. (III.V 158 159) Response from Lord

Syntax And Syntax
The task of providing a simple description of a programming language is very difficult but it is
essential to the language s success.
ALGOL 60 and 68 was initially represented using compact formal descriptions; in both scenarios,
however, the description was not clear because they utilized a completely new notation. Hence, both
these languages were not accepted by the developer community. Similarly, few languages have faced
some issues due to different dialects, a result of simple but informal and imprecise description.
The study of programming languages is similar to natural languages. It can be classified into Syntax

Computers are very inflexible and understand what you write only if you state what you want in exact

Importance of semantics
Semantics is referred to the meaning of words and sentences.
Mostly semantics studies the understanding of each word and creates the sentences in the form of text
written.
Semantics offers a framework for easy understanding and analyses the fundamental requirement of
languages.
Syntax
Syntax refers in different way of symbols that combined to create well formed sentences in the
language. It defines the formal relations between the components of a programming language. So, it
provides a structural description of the various expressions which makes strings in the language.

Larry Bird Essay
Many dream of becoming an all star. Having the movie like transformation from being a lowly, small
town boy and turning into a true legend. One of the few that lived this was Larry Bird. Larry would
grow from a small town boy in Indiana to transforming and becoming one of the National Basketball

of this true NBA legend.
Larry Bird grew up young and poor in French Lick, Indiana, just outside of West Baden. He was born

him, so they acquired two post players, Kevin McHale and Robert Parrish. With the trio of greatness,
the Celtics easily surpassed anything that other teams tried to throw at them, winning the title in the
1980 81 season (3). The Celtics acquired Dennis Johnson after the 1982 season, a point guard that
Larry liked. Dennis was the missing piece the Celtics had been longing for. They had the post and
wing talent, but they needed a ball handler. In the 1983 84 the Celtics faced a foe they hadn t seen in

Comparing Daisy Buchanan of The Great Gatsby and Brett of...
Daisy Buchanan of The Great Gatsby and Brett Ashley of The Sun Also Rises
Written right after the publication of Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby, Hemingway s The Sun Also Rises
is apparently influenced in many ways. The most obvious of Fitzgerald s influence is manifested in
Hemingway s portrayal of his heroine, Brett Ashley. Numerous critics have noted and discussed the
similarities between Brett and Daisy Buchanan, and rightly so; but the two women also have
fundamental differences. Compared to Daisy, Brett is a more rounded, complex character, and
Hemingway has treated her with more sympathy than Fitzgerald has with Daisy. Some similarities
between Brett Ashley and Daisy Buchanan include their physical beauty, their ... Show more content

Gatsby sinks into it, allowing his imagination to exaggerate until finally,
The colossal vitality of his illusion ... had gone beyond her, beyond everything. He had thrown himself
into it with a creative passion, adding to it all the time, decking it out with every bright feather that
drifted his way. No amount of fire or freshness can challenge what a man will store up in his ghostly
heart (101).
That dream is also empty because Daisy is empty. Fitzgerald depicts her as an empty, useless and
dependent female who ultimately lacks definition. Whereas Gatsby works to pursue Daisy, Nick has a
regular job, and even Jordan has her tournaments; Daisy does not have a purpose, a profession, or
even a talent for anything. Her purposelessness is apparent in this scene with Jordan Baker:
We ought to plan something, yawned Miss Baker, sitting down at the table as if she were getting into
bed.
All right, said Daisy. What ll we plan? She turned to me helplessly. What do people plan? (16)
More literally, Daisy ruins Gatsby by killing Myrtle Wilson and letting him take the blame for it, thus
ultimately causing his death. Of course, one may argue that Gatsby himself is willing to take the
blame for her:
Was Daisy driving?
Yes, he said after a moment, but of course I ll say I was. (151)
But Gatsby is willing to take the responsibility because

Diversity As A Common And Ordinary Individual
Everyone is told at some point in their life that it is okay to be different, and should not be ashamed of
who they are. They are told that being unique should be encouraged and that they should not hide
from it. For this reason, diversity is exceptional. But what happens when excessive diversity divides
citizens, causing contentions? Who then can decide what diversity is and whether it is convenient,
especially after it may have caused a war? Entirely for this instance, diversity only matters to an
extent. It is fair enough to be different, but over emphasizing diversity can divide communities,
citizens, and students rather than unify them. There should be a balance between diversity and
uniformity, and one should not overpower another. In essence, a common and ordinary individual
should have the freedom to decide what diversity is and whether he or she wishes to exercise it or not.
Children, teens, and adults are constantly being told that diversity should be promoted, usually by
teachers, leaders, parents, and other acquaintances. Especially in the 21st century where being
different is progressively becoming acceptable, it seems as if people expect, or pressure them to
differentiate themselves among others. Be different, because everyone hates the same, boring person,
has become a threatening phrase to those who only want to be themselves, but can t because they fear
of being that same, boring person. Instead of convincing others to be different and unique, it would

Depp Vs. Wilder as Willy Wonka Essay
Johnny Wilder
The recent movie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, was an immediate box office success. Johnny
Depp played a wonderful part as Willy Wonka in this movie. The book, originally published in 1964,
was first made into a movie in 1971. In this movie, Gene Wilder played a remarkable role of Willy
Wonka as well. Despite the many differences in the actors, both had huge success playing the role of
the wacky, chocolate loving Mr. Wonka.
One of the differences in the actors was age. The actors were similar in actual age when playing the
role, Johnny Depp being 42 and Gene Wilder being 38. The real difference is in the age portrayed by
the actors. While Wilder s portrayal made Wonka appear to be a distant and seemingly ... Show more

Depp shows an amusing response to the smart remarks of the children, while Wilder shows a distant
neglect to their nonsense. Wilder would spill out some random fraise, as Depp would yell the word

Despite their dislike of children, both Willy Wonka s showed a kind attitude towards Charlie Bucket.
At one point Wilder s character becomes angry with Charlie because he stole from the factory, but
Charlie s consideration towards Wonka leaves Wilder offering the factory to Charlie. Wilder is pleased
when Charlie accepts the heritage of his company. Depp s character does not seem to get angry with
Charlie at all through the movie, but Depp shows confusion for Charlie s care of family. Depp s
Wonka immediately offers Charlie the company, but does not invite his family. Charlie refuses the
offer because he wants to be with his family. Depp is left begging Charlie to overtake the factory.
After deep understanding Depp invites Charlie and his family into the factory. Charlie kindly accepts
his proposal.
The different wardrobes of the characters also show the difference in portrayal of Mr. Wonka. Depp s
wardrobe consists of a deep, dark maroon coat, with a black velvet top hat, while Wilder s wardrobe
consists of a bright violet coat, with a red velvet top hat. Depp appearance is overall darker due to his
dark, brown hair, lavender eyes, maroon

Essay on The Cathedral by Raymond Carver
Cathedral is a short story ultimately about enlightment, finding something more meaningful and

experience radically differs from what is actually observed . He is enlightened and opened up to a new
world of vision and imagination. This brief experience will have a life long effect on him. The reason
for this strong and positive effect is not so much the relationship made between the blind man and the

His further ignorance about the blind are focused in on Robert since he is aware of his upcoming visit.
Hearing the marriage stories about Robert from his wife the narrator cannot realize how a woman
could love a blind man, It was beyond my understanding. Hearing this, I felt sorry for the blind man
for a little bit. And then I found myself thinking what a pitiful life this women must have led (508).
This ignorance and immature understanding of relationships overshadows his attitude toward Roberts
visit, unwanted and condescending. His attitude toward the blind man seems to change though before
and furtherly during the connection they make as they draw the cathedral together. Although there is
no evidence that the narrator s overall ignorances and prejudices are gone from the experience, it is
very clear however that he does come to some sort of revelation and enlightment, My eyes were still
closed. I was in my house. I knew that. But I didn t feel like I was inside anything (515). Because what
the narrator draws is a cathedral it is only assumable that this enlightment that the narrator experiences
has to do with values of Christianity, in this case it would be a realization of equality and treating
people with love, little is said about the effects this revelation has on him. The narrator through out
most of the short story comes of as a pretty shallow character. Besides his stereotyping tendencies he
comes of as callous and un imaginative. He shows his lack of

epidemic in the health care profession. Since nursing, more specifically, can be high paced and full of
stress, there is high risk for compassion fatigue. Kelly, Runge, Spencer (2015) argue that compassion
fatigue is the combination of burnout and secondary traumatic stress (p.523). Hunsaker, Chen,

The surveys were numerically coded and only able to be accessed by the researchers. The survey itself
included thirty questions that were broken down into three categories about education level, shift
length, age, and experience. The categories were compassion satisfaction, compassion fatigue, and
burn out. Once the surveys were received by the researchers, the information gathered was entered
into the Statistical Package for the Social Science. Each category from the survey was then computed
into statistics. Out of the 1,000 surveys mailed out, a total of 278 participated. The limitations of the
study were a small sample size, low response rate, and the variables were measured at one given time.
The results of this study were primarily women, white, married, and worked 12 hour shifts. The mean
age of the participants were 44 years old. The years of working as a nurse ranged anywhere from 1
year to 48 years and the largest number of nurses held a bachelor s degree, although it ranged from a
diploma to doctorate degrees. This study found that nurses who held higher levels of education, such
as master or doctorate degrees, had higher satisfaction in the workplace compared to those who held
lower level degrees, such as associates and bachelors. There was no clinical significance in the

Cities of the World
23 September 2014
World Cities: Tokyo and Mexico City
Introduction
World cities are home to some of the most innovative thinkers on the planet. Two world cities
numbering among the largest in population size are Tokyo and Mexico City, and each of these cities
are known for their global advancements. Tokyo is a center for fashion and precision technology.
While Mexico City is leading the way with technology to reduce their carbon footprint. That s why I
picked these two cities to visit on my trip to different world cities. I have a very diverse family and
chose to visit very different countries, and very different cities, each where several of my cousins were
located.
Profile of Tokyo Tokyo is located on the largest of the islands of Japan, Honshu. It borders the Tokyo
Bay and was built around three large rivers the Sumida River, the Ara River and the Edo River, for
which Tokyo city was originally named until 1868 when it was renamed Tokyo. The last census in
Tokyo was taken in 2010 and put the population of Tokyo s metropolis at 13,047,446. A recent
estimation made in 2013 says that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The population of Mexico City s metropolitan area is 20.4 million, while the population of the Federal
District is only 8.85 million. Mexico City has its roots in the pre Columbian city Tenochtitlan, the
capital city for the Aztecs. It holds its claim to fame as the longest continuously inhabited city in the
Western Hemisphere since it was founded in 1325, nearly 700 years ago. Mexico City is a world city
known for free trade. While the informal economy of Mexico City plays an important role inside of
the city, the city s main global industries include the food and beverage industry and the textile
industry. Ironically, Mexico City is known as one of the leaders in attempting to counter the effects of
global warming and the greenhouse gasses trapped above their

The Advancement Of Technology And Communications Has...
The advancement of technology and communications has changed the landscape of the world,
essentially redefining cultural interactions. Global super powers have become intertwined in as whole
entities such as the European Union, each relying on one another for economic and political security.
Included in this advancement of society, so too has the way wars are waged against opponents. The
large scale wars of WWII have been replaced by conflicts against small indigenous adversaries who
rely on irregular warfare to fend off larger, more advanced opponents. To further compound the
problem, the ease of accessibility of technology now allows for both superpowers and non state actors
to wage a war with both conventional methods, but also on a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

These new principles involve taking lessons from what we have learned in recent conflicts regarding
the relevance of civil military relationships in leadership and the importance of morality throughout a
campaign. Furthermore, they stress the importance of flexibility in combat operations, along with the
correct approach for stabilization after the conflict ends.
UNEQUAL DIALOUGE IS PARAMOUNT The relationship between political leaders and military
leaders has long been a volatile relationship about who holds the real power. When looking back at
U.S. military operations, it the pendulum on military vs political control has swung between the theory
of Objective Control which was developed by Samuel Huntington and the theory of Unequal Dialogue
from Eliot Cohen. Huntington s objective control breaks the two entities up as essentially two equal
parties in charge of their own discipline. In WWII, the Department of Defense was in charge of all
warfare issues, with General Eisenhower running the war, while Roosevelt and Truman handled
domestic affairs, along with building support for overseas operations. While this proved to be
successful, we later saw the exact opposite affect with operations in Vietnam while as political figures
took back the power and civilians defined key objectives. This method proved to be ineffective due to
either party not receiving the full picture. Military

Amelia Earhart is known for her disappearance in the sky. She embarked on many flights across the
world that made her famous. As one of the first female pilots, she set a precedent for future females in
aviation everywhere. Even after her death, many women aspire to become pilots. There was a lot of
moving, odd jobs, and short flights that eventually helped Earhart achieve her dreams. Her hard work
and determination contributed to her greatest accomplishment being the first female to fly across the
world.
She did not start out as a pilot, in fact, Amelia Earhart had many odd jobs to help her reach her career
goal. At the time, nineteen year old Earhart went to visit her sister in Canada. Earhart decided that

Shortly after her flight across the Atlantic, Earhart bought her second airplane. She participated in the
Women s Air Derby race, which was from Santa Monica to Cleveland, and came in third place. In
1929, Earhart helped establish The Ninety Nines, an organization for female aviators. She became the
first president of the organization and helped use it as a platform to promote American commercial
airlines. Between 1930 to 1935, Earhart set seven women s speed and distance flying records,
including the world s fastest flying speed of 181.18 miles per hour ( Amelia Earhart ).
In 1932, Earhart became the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean by herself. She set off from
Newfoundland, Canada. The weather conditions were bad and only got worse as she flew, and she
eventually had to land in Northern Ireland. For achieving her solo flight across the Atlantic, she was
awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross by Congress, and the Gold Medal of the National Geographic
Society, by President Hoover. She was the first women to ever receive both of these awards. In
addition, she was awarded the Cross of the Knight of the Legion of Honor by the French government (

question, Lucas said certainly there exists. Administrations consist of community discrimination. This

The question is always mercantilism and management involvement vs. unrestrictive and free

A thought provoking crosswise note: it was the time when Lucas family life was disturbed and he got

Lincoln s Second Inaugural Address Analysis
September, 2015 Did Lincoln s second inaugural address give proof that his religious faith is what
gave him justification to continue the Civil War? Though his second inaugural speech was among the
shortest in history, Lincoln spoke volumes within it. The Civil War was not an easy one, and had an
astounding amount of deaths, but despite the ups and downs, Lincoln persisted relentlessly with the
importance of seeing the war through to the end. It is within his second inaugural speech that we can
get a clear view into his psyche and understand a bit better why he was so passionate. Towards the
end, he states, Fondly do we hope, fervently do we pray, that this mighty scourge of war may speedily
pass away. Yet if God wills that it continue until all the wealth piled by the bondsman s two hundred
and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash shall
be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said,
that the judgements of the Lord ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

pressure and stomach problems. Mr. Franco had started drinking more recently, due to his wife s death
and the loneliness he was feeling, plus he was having more arthritis pain than usual. After asking Mr.
Franco a couple of preliminary questions it was decided that the AUDIT needed to be administered.

Characteristics Of Paul Brown
Paul Brown is one of the most well known coaches ever. He is a hall of fame coach who led the
Cleveland Browns to dominance in the 1940s and 1950s. In high school, he coached a powerhouse
team that had very good success. He then went on to College and the NFL. After his career In
Cleveland, he went to the Cincinnati Bengals where he achieved some success and even had the
stadium named after him. Gladwell defines certain characteristics in the book Outliers that make
people successful and an outlier. Paul brown Exemplifies many of these ideas. Paul Brown was a
coach for many years. Brown was one of the best coaches ever and he did great things that weren t just

social security Essay
In reading the book Social Security and the Family I learned a lot about the system that I had no idea
about before. The book was fact filled and almost fun to read the need to know information. I gained
much knowledge in the specifics of why the social security system is in need of reform, and why it
will be inadequate in the years to come. One of the reasons our social security system isn t working is
because, Social Security was modeled on the single earner, married couple family (1). Times have
changed dramatically since then.
When assessing the issues and current structure of the security system for change,

This absolutely violates the principle of horizontal equity. The fourth and final objective discussed is
efficiency, which translates into trying to achieve the greatest good for lowest cost. One measure of
efficiency is whether the effect of additional earnings on lifetime benefits of a couple is the same
when only on spouse works and when both spouses work (182). This also stems back into our class
discussions in the subject of economic efficiency and how being most efficient when the consumer
(Social Security beneficiary) and the producer (Social Security system funds) are both at a surplus.
Before reading the books I never anticipated being able to connect it to the Public Policy class so
readily. More importantly these policies mustn t be overlooked .
The central argument of the book is to solve the problem of insufficient funds. Our system now is

Nicene Creed Beliefs
This investigation attempts to answer the question To what degree did the Nicene Creed unify
Christian Beliefs? This question is relevant because Christianity is a common and important religion
in the modern world, with an estimated 22.4% of the world practicing the religion as of 2015; these
followers have unified beliefs and practices because of the Nicene Creed, established in 325 CE and
later amended in 381 CE, and what s outlined in it. The three primary issues that will be addressed in
this investigation are what the Nicene Creed was, what it meant for Christianity in the past, and how it
still affects the religion today. This investigation will focus on the time period of the first century to
present day and the location mainly investigated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the creed, it states that [Christians] believe... Lord Jesus Christ [is] ... of the same essence as the
Father... This portion of the document was primarily written to settle a debate between Arius, a Libyan
Priest and founder of the belief of Subordinationism, the belief that Jesus is not of the same divinity as
God the Father, and Pope Alexander of Alexandria, discussing if God the Father and Jesus the Son
were of the same divinity, which was a very divided argument at the time. The creed also states that ...
[Christians] believe in the Holy Spirit... He proceeds from the Father and the Son, and with the Father
and the Son is worshiped and glorified. This also proclaims belief in the Holy Spirit and His divinity.
In Christianity, the belief of the Holy Trinity is made up of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, and

one Holy God. The Holy Trinity is accepted in many different Christian

  • 2. The Importance Of Leadership In Beowulf During the Anglo Saxon era, the poem Beowulf came about and portrays many leadership skills still valid in today s world. In the poem, Beowulf shows skills such as being well known and protecting his people, he upholds truth and justice, and he holds an inspirational vision through influential actions and behaviors affecting his followers. The poem serves as great knowledge for people seeking to be strong, charismatic leaders similar to Beowulf (Loughman). In the article Beowulf and the Teaching of Leadership Loughman talks how in the epic poem Beowulf it includes ways for people in the current era to practice and teach these leadership skills to better themselves and others (Loughman). To be a successful leader, one must be well ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Over this time, he proceeds to kill Grendel, and Grendel s mother (Loughman). This is where Hrothgar says that Beowulf is, A protector of his people... (McArthur). Beowulf then takes over as king of Heorot, because of how he demonstrated his strong, essential leadership skills. Leaders can also become great when they have strong morals. Beowulfs morals are that which he upholds truth and justice for his people. The truth being that a monster terrorizes Heorot and he will stop at nothing until it is defeated. He also feels that justice should be done because the monster has taken lives (Loughman). He then kills the monster that is Grendel, and brings joy and peace to Heorot (Loughman). Hrothgar also says Beowulf is, Pledged to uphold the standards of truth and justice... (McArthur). Being a great leader also involves having strong morals to put your people before yourself. This idea is captivated in Beowulfs leadership skills. A strong leader is an influential person. This type of person does things that can inspire many people. They can often do things on instinct that hinder a good result. Other people recognize this and wish to do the same. This is present in Beowulfs actions. His skill in battle often causes his band of warriors to do the same as he does (Post). When Beowulf knows the situation and is confident in his strategies, his warriors will often have the same attitude. They bestow trust in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Success Factors And Risks Of The Company Success factors and risks Even though AB InBev is the largest beer producer in the world they are still focused on a growth oriented model. This has lead management to pursue a merger agreement with MillerCoors, the second largest beer producer in the world. The resulting company will be a mega brewery, responsible for 30% of the world s beer production (Bray, 2016). Management seems to be confident that the merger with MillerCoors will increase sales and efficiency in the long run because they are issuing out long term debt to help finance the project. The next three years will be interesting as the company prepares the budget to accommodate the extensive 1 billion dollar plus cost of the merger (Mickle, 2016). Even after the merger is complete the return on the investment make take a few years to pipeline as best practices gained by the merger need to be evaluated and put into place. In the meantime while the merger is still going through the necessary approval processes, AB InBev should be focusing on maintaining steady sales in order to help finance the merger. Quarter 2 results where short for the third time in the past four quarters and revenue was down 10% due to struggling sales in Brazil and the US (Mickle, 2016). • 4. New Issue Of New Federalism New Federalism is known as commitment to returning powers to the state governments. Proposed by President Ronald Reagan, who believed federal grants were just a scandal of imposing the federal interests on the states. Reagan believed that federal government would allow a more efficient government within the states and the nation. This reminded America of the main point now of the 10th amendment that because the states are created under the the federal government, it should work for the states, and not be overpowered. New Federalism is also known as Competitive Federalism due consent struggle of the national and local government trying to be equal. Many states liked the idea of New Federalism because new grants were given to states with less restrictions and states and they were given a choice on how to spend these grants. With this concept, many laws were made in order to enforce this New Federalism: the Unfunded Mandates Reform Act of 1995 disallowed Congress from passing federal programs or services without consulting states on how they would be funded. The Devolution Revolution in 1994, a movement led by former House Representative, Newt Gingrich, and by republicans who desired to scale back the federal government though campaigning. The topic I will be discussing in this draft is the debate on whether the National Football League should be held liable for injuries that their employee s sustained while playing professional football. The injuries that I will discuss are concussion and traumatic brain injuries related to multiple concussions. In years past this injury wasn t know n to be as prevalent because that game was played at a much slower speed. Players in todays game are bigger, faster and stronger than ever. It has been documented that the players themselves willingly know the risk they are taking yet still take the chance at playing the game. Players and player group representatives are now seeking compensation for their player and player s families. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... After the NFL commissioner came under scrutiny from Washington lawmakers on whether or not the injuries in his sport were the cause of traumatic brain disease. The commissioner enacted a policy that players had to pass a series of test by a neurologist prior to them being allowed to return to play( Grove, J) This policy change is similar to a normal employee passing a physical from their primary Doctor before they could return to work. • 8. Greedlessness In Washington Irving s The Legend Of Sleepy... Washington Irving wrote The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in 1820, which tells the story of Ichabod Crane, a schoolmaster who persistently frightens himself with supernatural beings he supposes he sees and hears on his way home from school. At one point in the story, Crane rivals for the love of a lady with a man named Abraham Van Brunt. This man, known as Brom Bones to the townspeople, took advantage of Ichabod Crane s credulousness to scare him out of town through a prank in which he impersonated the dreaded Headless Horseman, the ghost of Sleepy Hollow. This caused Ichabod to flee town out of terror. Ichabod Crane s characteristics of greed, superstition, and fearfulness ended up causing his downfall. Ichabod Crane s greediness hindered his relationship with the townspeople, consequently making some people, such as Brom Bones, more than happy to expel Crane from the town, and others not sorry when he left. Ichabod had a great gluttonous appetite, so he lived successively a week at a time with his pupils and their families, because they simply could not afford to house such a gourmand. Moreover, he earned the distaste of the other men of the town while trying to earn the affections of a lady named Katrina Van Tassel, whom he hoped to marry only because of her wealth. He knew if he was to marry her, he would have many delicious meals awaiting him. The pedagogue s mouth watered as he looked upon this sumptuous promise of luxurious winter fare. • 9. Selling A Home Is A Real Estate Agent Essay Selling a home can be a daunting task for a professional real estate agent. With property promotion, open houses and a fluctuating market, trial and error usually wins out over book knowledge and written rules. But, what about the homeowner who decides to sell their home without the help of a professional. Believe it or not, you may find some of your greatest help in comp homes. When placing your home on the market for sale, you will inevitably look in your neighborhood for other comp homes also for sale. Competitively pricing your home will draw in potential buyers more quickly than pricing your home out of the range of other comp homes in the area. This pricing model only works if you can find a comp home in your neighborhood. But, how will you know if a home is comparable? Homeowners should always look at their rival competition for help in selling a home. Visiting the open houses of other homes in the area, or arranging for a walk through with the owners or real estate agent handling the sale, will help you to gauge the home s condition, in comparison to your home. This tactic is also helpful for homeowners selling a home without a real estate agent. Seeing how a real estate agent offers the information about the comp home, viewing the real estate agent s fliers and promotion sheets, as well as, seeing the changes or key points a real estate agent stresses during a walk through will help you to better understand how you should be handling those aspects of your sale. ... ALGOL 60 and 68 was initially represented using compact formal descriptions; in both scenarios, however, the description was not clear because they utilized a completely new notation. Hence, both these languages were not accepted by the developer community. Daisy Buchanan of The Great Gatsby and Brett Ashley of The Sun Also Rises Written right after the publication of Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby, Hemingway s The Sun Also Rises is apparently influenced in many ways. The most obvious of Fitzgerald s influence is manifested in Hemingway s portrayal of his heroine, Brett Ashley. Numerous critics have noted and discussed the similarities between Brett and Daisy Buchanan, and rightly so; but the two women also have fundamental differences. No amount of fire or freshness can challenge what a man will store up in his ghostly heart (101). That dream is also empty because Daisy is empty. Fitzgerald depicts her as an empty, useless and dependent female who ultimately lacks definition. Whereas Gatsby works to pursue Daisy, Nick has a regular job, and even Jordan has her tournaments; Daisy does not have a purpose, a profession, or even a talent for anything. Her purposelessness is apparent in this scene with Jordan Baker: We ought to plan something, yawned Miss Baker, sitting down at the table as if she were getting into bed. All right, said Daisy. • 17. Diversity As A Common And Ordinary Individual Everyone is told at some point in their life that it is okay to be different, and should not be ashamed of who they are. They are told that being unique should be encouraged and that they should not hide from it. For this reason, diversity is exceptional. But what happens when excessive diversity divides citizens, causing contentions? Who then can decide what diversity is and whether it is convenient, especially after it may have caused a war? Entirely for this instance, diversity only matters to an extent. It is fair enough to be different, but over emphasizing diversity can divide communities, citizens, and students rather than unify them. There should be a balance between diversity and uniformity, and one should not overpower another. In essence, a common and ordinary individual should have the freedom to decide what diversity is and whether he or she wishes to exercise it or not. Children, teens, and adults are constantly being told that diversity should be promoted, usually by teachers, leaders, parents, and other acquaintances. Especially in the 21st century where being different is progressively becoming acceptable, it seems as if people expect, or pressure them to differentiate themselves among others.
