• The department is headed by front Office Manager MR. AJAY SHARMA .
• The department is situated at lobby .
• There are three sections located at the face of the lobby- GRE Desk ,Duty
Manager Desk, Concierge Desk , Reception Desk & Cashiers Desk.
• Business center is located at the DOWNSTAIRS of the lobby.
• It has a board room, internet and facilities like scanning, Printing, Photocopying
and Binding is also done.
• Operator room is just situated at the back side of the lobby.

• Hotel has 100 room presently. With five different category rooms at the hotel.
Hence it is divided into various section to handle the task. Staffs are allocated
accordingly.Sections and their Responsibility of the housekeeping are:-
•Floors: cleaning and giving service to the rooms.
•Public Area: housekeeping here is responsible for cleaning of all outlets, banquets,
public restrooms, elevators and lobby area.
•Linen Room. Collects all soiled linen, send it for laundry and collects fresh laundry
and distribute the to the outlets.
•Laundry area. Responsible for cleaning of guest laundry.
Jai Mahal Palace offers 100 palatial
rooms including 6 suites . Colonial style
furniture , miniature paintings , sheer
curtains and stylish bathrooms offer
contemporary comfort with a regal touch
. All the rooms have tea/coffee maker ,
minibar , safe , LCD TV , direct dial

The L- Shaped palace has most of the
rooms overlooking a beautiful gardens
which replicates an 18th century garden
laid out by a Mughal Emperor .

• The department is headed by an Executive Chef AMRENDRA
MISHRA.
• The department here is very vast. The kitchens are situated at different
outlets and banquets. So, there are 3 kitchens for different restaurants
and 1 kitchen for banquet.
• Each of them are made to comfort the chefs cooking and is modernized
for ease of work.
• Apart from the main outlet kitchen. There are kitchen to perform
different operation. they are Bakery, Butchery, grinder room & IRD
Kitchen.
• Executive chef looks after the entire operation of the Kitchen.
• Maintains a healthy relationship with the Food & Beverage Service.

The purpose of this study was to explore the “Operational aspects of Taj Jai
Mahal Palace , Jaipur .
1.Know about the Tourism industry and Hospitality industry in India .
2.Find the contribution of all the core departments of the overall
establishment.
3.Identify the procedure followed by all the operating department
4.Study on the organizational structure of each department and the duties and
responsibilities of the staff with in the department.
5.Know about the forms and formats used by the hotel .
6.Know about the Facility provided by the hotel which can boost the sale.
7.Know about the various outlets of the hotel.

Staffs are allocated accordingly.Sections and their Responsibility of the housekeeping are:- •Floors: cleaning and giving service to the rooms. •Public Area: housekeeping here is responsible for cleaning of all outlets, banquets, public restrooms, elevators and lobby area. •Linen Room. Collects all soiled linen, send it for laundry and collects fresh laundry and distribute the to the outlets. •Laundry area. Responsible for cleaning of guest laundry.

There are kitchen to perform different operation. they are Bakery, Butchery, grinder room & IRD Kitchen. • Executive chef looks after the entire operation of the Kitchen. • Maintains a healthy relationship with the Food & Beverage Service.

Conclusion The purpose of this study was to explore the “Operational aspects of Taj Jai Mahal Palace , Jaipur . 1.Know about the Tourism industry and Hospitality industry in India . 2.Find the contribution of all the core departments of the overall establishment. 3.Identify the procedure followed by all the operating department 4.Study on the organizational structure of each department and the duties and responsibilities of the staff with in the department. 5.Know about the forms and formats used by the hotel . 6.Know about the Facility provided by the hotel which can boost the sale. 7.Know about the various outlets of the hotel.
