Rishita Paharya, a student of fashion design, completed a project designing a summer clothing collection for a 20-year-old girl. She was inspired by traditional Indian art and crafts and designed pieces combining these influences with modern styles. Her collection includes a tent dress with applique flowers and kantha embroidery depicting relationships. She presented her designs, influences, and specifications to fulfill her diploma requirements.
A fashion designer takes a design from concept to finished garment. They begin by sketching designs by hand or on a computer. Next, they create prototypes using inexpensive fabrics to refine their designs. Fashion designers oversee every step of the process, from fabric selection to fittings to the final fashion show. While the work involves creativity, it also requires strong organization, communication, and technical skills to bring a cohesive collection from vision to reality.

This document discusses co-design and DIY in the apparel industry. It begins by providing background on mass production and customization in clothing. It then explains that co-design and DIY are both ways for manufacturers to respond to consumers' desires for unique garments, but they differ in the time commitment required. Specifically, co-design allows for customization at the cost of mass production, while DIY is more time consuming and inconvenient for consumers. The document argues that co-design and DIY are complementary approaches that can be successfully implemented in the fashion industry when catering to different consumer needs and preferences.

•There are three types of market:
16. MASS MARKET
(MARKET RESEARCH)
The benefit of mass market
Is that it gives your product
the ability to appeal
To a larger audience as
opposed
To other forms of marketing
, such as target marketing.
The mass market caters for
a wider range of customers,
Producing ready-to-wear
clothes in large quantities
And standard sizes.
The end product can
therefore be sold much
more cheaply.
BENEFITS
Across many mass market or high street retailers
each fashion collection Or range is scheduled to be
available in store at prescribed times. And it is the
market Area in which most people buy their clothes.
I choose mass market because;
•In this market goods are produced in large quantities.
•Ready to wear garment in mass , and varities of colour and
design are available.
•In mass market cheap material of fabrics creativety used to
produced affordable fashion.
•Products are available in reasonable price.
•All of these mass market , consists of fashion available for
both – brand and streets that’s way t choose mass market for
a collection.
Mass marketing is
important because,
I assume your objective
is to get your message
Out there. Regardless of
who will see or hear it,
it will be
Out there for potential
customer to consumer.
As long as your
objective is aligned with
your marketing , then
mass marketing will
plays an
Important role in your
overall plays.

51. INTRODUCTION OF TIE AND DYE
Tie And Dye , Batik Is A Resist-dyeing Process For
Creating Attractive Coloured Designs On Fabric. How
Ever While In A Batik, Resistance T Dye Penetration Is
Provided By A Coated Layer Of Wax, In The Case Of Tie
And Dye , This Is Achieved By Knotting , Binding,
Folding’ Or Sewing Certain Parts Of The Cloth In Such A
Way That The Cannot Penetrate Into These Areas When
The Cloth Is Dyed.It Is Hand Process By Which Intricate
And Attractive Patterns Can Be Produced.
In India The Tie Dyeing Method Is Generally A Cottage
Industry And Is Known As Bandhani Or Bandhej. It Is
Often Used For T- Shirt , Dresses , Skirt , And Other
Garments And Also In Furnishings Like Pillow Covers ,
Table Cloth , Bedsheets Etc.
Tying The Cloth Or Knotting Is Called Bandhejor Tie And
Dye. In This Procedure The Cloth Is Tied With A Thread
Of Thickness Greater Than That Of The Cloth. After The
Tied Cloth Is Dyed And Dried, The Ties And Knots Are
Opened. As A Result We Get Different Colourful
Patterns On The Cloth. The Art Of Tie- Dyeing Is Most
Popular In Various Regions Of Gujarat, Kathiawar,
Rajasthan.
52. INTRODUCTION OF BLOCK PAINTING
The First Textile - Painting Technique ( Making Impression )
Was That Using Blocks With Raised Printing Surface , Which
Were Inked And Then Pressed On To The Fabric. By
Repetition , The Image From A Single Block Builds Up Into A
Complete Design Over The Fabric Area. Some Early Blocks
Were Made Of Clay Or Terracotta , Others Of Carved Wood.
Wooden Blocks Carrying Design Motifs Were Found In
Tombs Near The Ancient Town In Upper Egypt. A
Combination Of Block Printing ( Usually Described As
Penciling) Was Used For Some Time. The Biggest Problem
Was That Of Achieving Bright And Fast Colours. Madder Was
The Most Important Dye That Was Able To Satisfy The Need.
The Major Centers In India Were Block Printing Is Done On
Large Scale Are As Follows:-
Gujarat ( Surat, Ahmedabad, Sanganer, Pethapur).
Rajasthan
Andhra Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh
West Bengal
