How I Can Become An Ideal Project Manager
Since I have no experience as a project manager, according what I have collected from above
literatures and what I have perceived in my own point of view, I have the following ideas of how I
can become an ideal project manager.
1. To be a leader
During the past years of working, I have always played the role of team member but never tried to
lead a team to actually accomplish a project, so the most challenging trait for me to learn as a
project manager is to be a leader.
I now know that a project leader should do a lot more than plan, organise, control, coordinate,
monitor and closure. While such activities are all very important and must be correctly done, those
functions are not enough for a good leader to accomplish. That is to say, ... Show more content on

3) Leadership means dealing with risks
During the process of a project, various kind of risk is inevitable because of uncertainties. There is
always possibility for threats which may harm the success or completion of the project.
As a leader, it is best to eliminate the risk before it really cause any loss of the project, which
requires prospective and forward thinking. They are always looking for better ways to take actions
on potential risks. And when risk really happens, leaders should be able to take the procedure to
minimize the adverse effect of a possible loss, which requires fresh information at any time. The
leader should be competent to abstract useful information and find the most efficient ways to deal
with risks.
4) Leadership means the ability to motivate those around you
To motivate people to realize their maximum potential, a good leader can is get all the team
members to perform enthusiastically, confidently. As people around you are from different cultures,
motivating implies listening, trusting, empowering, coaching, enable them to work discreetly and
creatively.
2. Capable of continual and effective monitor
Control and monitor are an important part of every project manager s job, in this part, the project
manager should always think about how to keep the project on track, on time and within budget.
To be honest, I am not a very persistent man, so keep

2 Integrity
Give a brief overview of how the policy will provide rules for authentication and verification.
Include a description of formal methods and system transactions.
Integrity keeps data pure and trustworthy by protecting system data from intentional or accidental
changes. Integrity has three goals to prevent unauthorized users from making modifications to data
or programs. To prevent authorized users from making improper or unauthorized modifications. To
maintain internal and external consistency of data and programs.
3 Availability
Briefly describe how the policy will address system back up and recovery, access control, and
quality of service.
Availability keeps data and resources available for authorized use, especially during emergencies
or disasters. This policy will address common challenges to availability. Denial of Service this is
due to intentional attacks or because of undiscovered flaws in implementation. The policy will
address loss of information system capabilities because of natural disasters. The policy will also
focus on equipment failures during normal use.

Analysis Of Blood Wedding By Federico Garcia Lorca And...
Blood Wedding, a play written by Federico GarcГa Lorca and translated by Jo Clifford, employs
both symbolism and characterisation as literary techniques in the construction of the female
protagonists. Through the use of literary symbolism and characterisation, Lorca constructs
individual traits that enhance audience response by revealing cultural and temporal context against
which it was written. Women portray arguably the most significant roles and interpretation, with the
female roles are largely constructing the recurring themes of tradition and tension. It is via this
process that the narrative progresses, resulting in movement through our understanding of the
traditional values underpinning Spanish life and culture at the time of writing. Throughout,
emphasis is placed upon traditional religious values such as arranged marriage, particularly
highlighting gender roles and female oppression. In addition, the Andalusian society is largely
governed under patriarchal jurisdiction. This essay will examine how Lorca has employed
symbolism and characterisation, and to what extent they permit a successful construction of the
women in Blood Wedding. Lorca utilizes a range of symbols to create the atmosphere, in order to
apprise the audience of Andalusian society and the approach to which female gender roles are
understood. Initially, frequent use and significant emphasis is placed upon the natural symbolism to
exhibit notions of growth, femininity, sensuality, fertility and

Sleep Paralysis Research Paper
Abstract
Sleep Paralysis is a rare type of sleeping disorder that not many people experience. There are
many people are unfamiliar with sleep paralysis and when a person experiences it for the first
time they mainly look to the supernatural. There are many scientists who are looking into the
science of this sleeping disorder and still have yet to discover the main cause of sleep paralysis. So
far, the main explanation for sleep paralysis is that your brain and body aren t on the same cycle,
thus causing the hallucinations. This paper will explain how the science of sleep paralysis is more
plausible than the supernatural stories people tend to believe. Definition of Sleep Paralysis

Essay about Censorship Laws and Practices in China
Censorship Laws and Practices in China
Introduction China joined the global Internet age in 1994, and has been commercially available
since 1995. Since then, Chinese Internet usage has seen explosive growth, doubling every six
months, and the number of online users is only second to the US. The Internet age ushered in the
information age with a new world of freedom and expression for the Chinese. However, soon after
its inception, the Chinese government has reined in the free wheeling Internet users and has imposed
new laws and restrictions to access and content on the Internet.
It is interesting to note that some of the new Internet regulations contradict International Laws

The Storm In the story, The Storm, Kate Chopin tells a reader about what had occurred during a
storm that passed by. The story goes into detail about two main characters, Alcee Laballiere and
Calixta, and the setting. Also, the other characters in the passage were Bibi, Bobinot, and
Clarissa. The setting had took place at store called Friedheimer s, and Calixta s house during a

Laballiere and Calixta in the past. Even though Kate gets into detail of The Storm, she begins the
story of Bobinot and Bibi at the Friedheimer s store during the storm. They decided to stay at the
store until the storm had passed. Bibi is a four year old little boy, and he looked very clever.
Also, Bobinot was Bibi s father. They were told to go to Friedheimer s, a wooden store, to buy
shrimp for their dinner. Bobinot explained that this storm were somber clouds that developed in
the west of part, along with a threatening roar of lighting invading the area (Chopin, 335). While
they were at Friedheimer s, they sat by the door on two empty kegs. Bibi laid his little hand on his

The Impact Of Digital Technology On Consumer Electronics,...
Abstract With the rapid development of digital technology in consumer electronics, advertising and
notification system has greater importance. Earlier systems had the drawback that the notice board
or systems that were to display notice has been done manually. The idea proposed to this project is
that using GSMtechnology so that the updates could be made with mobile and check for the
authority in the system. So updates to these notice boards could be made through a simple SMS.
The importance of notice in academic is well known to us but this system could be not only in the
school or educational but also for commercial purposes such as advertising or emergency
notification system.
Keywords: GSM modem, AVR 328, visual basic 6.0, LCD Display.
I. Introduction
This is an embedded based project. An embedded system is a combination of hardware and
software and perhaps other mechanical parts designed to perform a specific function. A Notice
Board is a very essential device in any institution/organization or public utility place like bus
stations, railway stations and parks. The big problem with these displays is to carry a computer or
special keyboard for generating and sending messages to LCD moving display board dynamically.
Carrying a host computer or special keyboard every time to generate message for LCD display
boards is big headache and also increase cost if it go for wireless based message sending. To make
the
LCD display more portable, a GSM mobile phone is used

Compare And Contrast Polyp And Hawaii
While most living organisms reproduce during their lifetime, not all have the ability to move
freely in order to complete the process of reproduction. Sessile marine organisms fit the profile of
these organisms, as any sessile organism, by definition, is permanently attached or fixed to another
surface. Due to their sessile nature, coral have the ability to reproduce both sexually and asexually.
Coral that reproduce sexually do so most commonly by way of spawning and brooding, while coral
that reproduce asexually do so through budding and fragmentation. Both modes of reproduction,
both asexual and sexual, have their benefits and disadvantages, but both ultimately lead to the
production of new coral throughout the world.

This is considered to be the most common form of asexual reproduction, due to the rather abrupt
formation of new polyp buds, many completing the budding cycle within three to four days, given
the proper conditions. Environmental conditions influencing the production of polyps during the
budding process includes temperature and the availability of food and nutrients for the forming
polyp. Generally, asexually reproducing coral undergoing the budding process first start to divide
and form two different polyp mouths, which clearly demonstrate where the separation will occur.
Once the new polyp grows into the right size, the two polyps will complete division, ending in two
different polyp buds.

Realism versus Pop Art
In this life, there are many forms of art or art movements to speak of. How we interpret art is a
very subjective thing. What a person sees and feels when looking at art greatly depends on their
upbringing, their values, and even their mood at the time of viewing. Could something dark and
lacking color be art? What about a comic strip in the newspaper or the billboard down the street?
Again, interpretation and taste in art is individual. I elected to explore into the two art movements I
like the least to potentially better understand them, and to potentially link them together.
Realism was painted to depict real life situations. It was developed by artists to create an illustration
of common people and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Realism evoked feeling in its everyday life portrayal. Pop Art is unemotional.
Although Pop art was originally stated to come from the revolt to Abstract Expressionism, and a
jump off of Dadaism, my thoughts are that the similarities between Pop Art and Realism as
extensive. They are related in the fact that they both are based on everyday life scenes. While
Realism delved into everyday society, Pop Art did the same with the everyday mass media market.
Realism was a jump from Romanticism a fight of the unnatural belief that everything must be
romanticized. Pop art was a jump from Abstract Expressionism a fight of the unnatural belief that
everything should spark emotional thought. Pop artists in Germany are referred to as Capitalist
Realism artists and, in France, the Pop Art movement is called Nouveau Realisme, directly
translated as New Realism.

Opportunities And Opportunities
Opportunities are given to us. There are good and bad opportunities that you receive from many
people that would influence These opportunities are Within Reach of us and we can either
accept them or decline the offerings. It depends on what you choose to pick and if it is for the
greater good or for the worst. When you were first born, your parents made many decisions for
you can lead up to who you are right now. No matter what ethnicity, religion, race, gender, etc,
you are privileged with life and the ability to live the way you want to. Once you become a
teenager or an adult, you will eventually have to make your own decisions. Many things are there
to help you. It is either your choice to accept it or to leave the opportunity given to you. Some
good opportunities that are given to people are jobs, going to college, or having a chance to get
a free item. Having a job and working everyday will have its benefits. You would have a
sustainable job to live and have a family. People have the privilege to work at school and then go
to work so they can have a good life. You are given this job right in front of you, but sometimes
people would not work and be lazy. People that do that would lose this opportunity that was given
to them, even though you were close to become a worker at a company. It was within their grasp,
but they just let it go instead and lost that privilege given to them. Many people are so close
getting a job and never ending with a job in their hands.

Neural Systems Controlling Emotions Have Influence On...
Research Objectives
The research completed by Shiv et al (2004), was to identify whether or not dysfunctions in neural
systems controlling emotions could influence and promote individual s gambling abilities.
Emotions can be either beneficial or detrimental to one s behaviour; it depends on what task is on
hand and the individual differences. As previous research in neuroscience has highlighted the
positive roles of emotions in everyday decision making, Shiv et al (2004) wanted to test out if
individuals with dysfunctional emotional reactions could actually make better decisions than
normal individuals. A specific scenario that brought curiosity to the researchers was how a patient
with ventromedial prefrontal damage, an area responsible for fear, responded accurately to
hazardous road conditions. Instead of becoming fearful and stepping on the breaks during icy roads,
this individual lacked fear so the patient assessed the situation and responded properly. This patient
with ventromedial prefrontal cortex damage handled the hazardous situation logically rather than
emotionally, allowed him to react properly. Shiv et al (2004) are specifically looking at how
dysfunctions in neural systems controlling emotions could affect gambling abilities. As normal
individuals usually display a myopic loss aversion, high levels of risk aversion towards gambling,
this study wants to detect if individuals with injuries with emotional brain circuitry systems would
also have myopic loss

Pay Gap Statement
Introduction
Outline/Description of Problem: The pay gap between men and women has become quite a topic
today. The difference in pay are very common now in many career paths where men and women
are doing the same work amount. It is rare to think that when men and women are performing the
same task and are just as qualified as each other that they would get paid the same.
Introduction to Controversy: As the wage gap is being discussed more, the question is why do men
and women have different wages when they are working the same job. While it seems that men
don t have to take as much time off from work or may work more, we have to look at it from
Women s viewpoints also.

Support #1 (opposing viewpoint): Many people will say that women s pay is not a huge difference
to men s pay, they just make a few more cents. However, this may be true but the few cents can add
up to a few extra dollars. No one ever realizes how much just a few cents will make a difference, it
can buy you a few extra groceries, give you more gas or allow you to go see a movie on a day off.
Just because a few cents may not be a lot to you does not mean it may not be a lot to a single mom.
Explanation #1 (negation): Men and women need to both start off with the starting pay of what
their job is and as they grow at their position reward the with the pay that they deserve, not they
pay that they are given due to a study done on a handful of women. Some men may not deserve to

The answer to whether they are good or not is: It depends on the situation (Carroll, 2015). There

resistant to drought and infestations, letting more people have more regular meals. Some
research even shows that the world produces 17% more food than it needs to produce to provide
each current human with three squares per day (Healthcare Articles and Infographics, 2013)!
Others look at genetically modified foods as a dangerous proposition. From allergic reactions to
potential intestinal damage, many people wish to avoid GMO foods because of animal studies
that have shown changes in internal cell structure, abnormal tumor growth, and unexpected deaths
that have occurred (Healthcare Articles and Infographics, 2013). By 2050, farmers must produce
40% more food to feed an estimated 9 billion people on the planet. Either current yields will have
to increase or farmland will expand farther into forests and jungles. In some cases, genetically
modified organisms (GMOs) would offer an alternative way to boost yields without sacrificing
more land or using more pesticides (Maxmen, 2013). Soy, corn and cotton are the most common
genetically modified crops. In the late 1990s, the agriculture corporation Monsanto began to sell

What Is Okonkwo s Role In Igbo Society
Since the civilization of the African continent the natives were seen as uncivilized and wild.
Achebe throughout Things Fall Apart works to counter these very stereotypes. Set in an Ibo
village in Nigeria during the start of European civilization, the book focuses on the main
character Okonkwo and his prideful life to give insight on the true nature of Ibo culture. Achebe
uses the abstract concept of the patriarchal society and importance of conversation to humanize
the Ibo people. Seen in the interaction between Okonkwo and his wives, this matter illustrates
the influential role of the patriarch in Ibo society. Speaking of his role in society Okonkwo
gives the advice that, if [a man] was unable to rule his women...he was not really a man (Achebe
53). Based off of Okonkwo s advice we know the men in Ibo society hold the power over their
families and if they can not control their family that they are not really a man. Okonkwo
demonstrates the power he holds over his wife and children many times, often going too far. For
instance, during the Week of Peace Okonkwo beats his wife Ojiugo when she went out to a friend s
house without notice.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Achebe explains that, the art of conversation is regarded very highly, (Achebe 7) among the Ibo.
Because the Ibo people care for how their conversations are carried out, one would guess that
they are educated and knowledgeable enough to be able to do so. In some ways one might
consider them to be able to have even more intricate conversations then we do today. When the
Europeans arrive in Umuofia they do not quite understand the Ibo people. The District
Commissioner even complains of, [the Ibo people s] love of superfluous words (Achebe 204).
The words that Ibo people use in conversation is even baffling to the Europeans. This can make
one say that in some ways the Ibo people are more advanced than the

The Modified Delone Mclean Model
The modified Delone McLean model includes user satisfaction (Wang Liao, 2008). The user
satisfaction is influenced by the system, information, and service quality. Increases in quality tend
to increase the user satisfaction. The user satisfaction also has an influence on the intention to use
the system. Furthermore, the modified model adds user technical capabilities as an aspect related
to user satisfaction. Individuals who have greater technical capabilities are more likely to be
satisfied with well designed systems (Petter, DeLone McLean, 2013).
It should be noted that there are interactions between use, user satisfaction, and intention to use the
system (Kavanagh Thite, 2009). Intentions to use the system often lead to use. The use can lead to
higher levels of user satisfaction and further increased intentions to use the system. The reverse is
true as well. If there is a low level of user satisfaction, then the intention to use the system will
decrease. The use and user satisfaction relate directly to the net benefits. If the use of the system
leads to significant benefits, then the net benefits will lead to increases in user satisfaction and
intention to use the system. In other words, if individuals begin using that system and find that it
has a number of net benefits, they are likely to be satisfied and plan to use the system more
frequently in the future (Wang Liao, 2008).

Advantages Of Predictive Analytics
Predictive Analytics
Predictive analytics is a technology that makes use of the current and existing database to produce a
trend and predict future outcomes. In short, it does not tell you what will happen in the future.
Most of the companies use a model named Predictable Model that helps them to know as to which
customer is likely to stay and which ones are probably one timers. The model is created after
careful study and scrutiny of the sales records and the result is a score that provides the company
with an idea in regards to the solvency of the customers. This leads to the companies focusing more
on the customers that are not regular and entice them to stay.

Use the process of segmentation to grow a strong base for the customers.
Segmentation is a famous and worldwide used marketing practice which is used to divide a larger
and broader markets into smaller ones consisting of customer having the common interests, wants
and priorities. And then, focusing on those targets and forming strategies to win their loyalty.
Limitations of A Priori Segmentation
Priori segments are the most crucial way of creating market segments. These segments are easy to
define and are easily targeted with mass and media, also advertisement. In a priori segmentation the
market is divided according to existing demographic criteria like age, sex, social status, education
etc.
A priori segmentations are also the simplest of all the segmentation to apply and use. A database
can be sorted on the existing data and that data is used to drive sales strategies and marketing
campaigns.
Improve Action ability with Predictive Segmentation
The priori segmentation has certain limitations and as a result other models have been developed to
overcome certain limitations. As we know customers vary depending on their behavior and attitudes
so a new approach is introduced called Predictive Segmentation which differentiates groups of
customers and potential customers based on their behavior and their attitude . Predictive
Segmentation has been used successfully in segmentation research for over 20

Altered State Of Consciousness Essay
Consciousness is an individual s awareness of the environment around them, their thoughts,
feelings, memories and sensations. In order to be conscious, one must be awake and aware of the
life around them. Many studies and articles have proved that there are many ways to change the
way one thinks when not fully conscious. Someone in an altered state of mindwill not be in full
consciousnessof themselves or surroundings. The brain state loses the sense of identity with one s
body or normal sense perceptions. A very popular way to go about altering the human state of mind
is through the use of psychoactive drugs. So what really is happening in the brain when under the
influence of psychoactive drugs? The brain mistakes drugs for serotonin. The... Show more content

mistake LSD for serotonin. The drug acts as an antagonist, which means that it binds to the receptor
and inhibits the receptor activity, so therefore LSD stimulates the serotonin 2A receptor the most.
When someone stimulates 5 HT2A receptors with LSD, they get an increase in glutamate cell
activity in the frontal cortex and causes to act more frequently. Long term effects of the drug have
shown to be continuously recurrent hallucinations after taking the drug. Someone may feel like

Arguing Against Capital Punishment
In the debate over capital punishment, the opponents argue that capital punishment should not be
practiced because it has a civilizing effect and practicing capital punishment has do deterrent effect.
On the other side of the debate, the supporters argue that capital punishment should not be
abolished because it is just retribution and has a deterrent effect. In this paper, I will argue that
capital punishmentshould not be practiced. In the article titled, The Folly of Capital Punishment,
Jeffrey Reiman concludes that capital punishment is less just. Reiman has four arguments against
capital punishment.Reiman states that an argument for capital punishment being a deterrent would

The victim did not do anything to deserve death, the criminal did. To counter the argument that
capital punishment is uncivilized, Van Den Haag points out that most civilizations have had the
death penalty at some point in their history. He also addresses the argument that the death sentence
is degrading by showing that philosophers, such as Immanuel Kant, have said that execution affirms
the criminal s humanity by affirming their ability to make decisions and rationalize. After analyzing
and evaluating both arguments, I believe that the most reasonable conclusion is that Reiman s
argument is stronger; therefore, I also conclude that Van Den Haag s argument is weaker. The first
argument that both Van Den Haag and Reiman argue is the deterrent effect and, for lack of
evidence, both admit that this argument is only speculation. Van Den Haag s argument on this
subject is only lacking in that he didn t consider the possibility of practicing capital punishment
cancelling out the deterrent effect of not practicing capital punishment. Reiman acknowledges this
effect and then shows that, if you choose not to execute, you cause less pain by saving one life.
Reiman s argument on this point is improved when you take into consideration Van Den Haag s
argument about miscarriages of justice. According to Van Den Haag, a person who is innocent and
receives the death sentence is wronged in the worst way. Still, we continue to

Racism is the belief of superiority of a certain race which often leads to discrimination towards
other people. Lincoln was a racist because of his ideology. According to Document B, Lincoln was
in favor of the race to which I belong, having the superior position . Since Lincoln believed that he,
the white race, was better and superior to the Negroes, this proves that he is racist because of his
ideology. In addition, Lincoln was a racist because of his words. In Document C and D, Lincoln
called the Negroes heathism , barbarian , creatures . By using such demeaning and dehumanizing
words, Lincoln puts down the Negroes, which establishes himself as the better race. However,
some may argue that Lincoln was not a racist. In Document A, Lincoln believed that the Negro
was born his equal and that no human law can deprive him of these rights . By thinking that he is
equal to Negroes, it demonstrates that he does not think lowly of them. Although Lincoln stated
that the Negro is his equal, it does not hide the fact that he believes that the white race is more

A Whole New Economic Activity Essay
A whole new economic activity has now emerged because of Keggfarms, which till now was a
routine, redundant but a certain source of income even though meagre. The key results could be
underlined as: significant contribution to household income, gender Empowerment, alternate
livelihoods at several points, food security and environmental converter of rubbish into food. The
Govt of India, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, set up a committee headed by a
senior technocrat from NABARD to study the rural poultry scenario with a view to include this
sector in the venture capitalfund of the department in the Tenth Five Year Plan. The study revealed
that Kuroiler farming in the traditional style was being extensively practiced in villages with
substantial benefits to rural stakeholders. NABARD presented bankable and venture capital
funding for Kuroiler farming projects in rural areas In 2009, a joint venture of FAO and NDDB
(SAPPLPP) studied the impact of the Keggfarms model of Kuroiler farming in rural India. Results
indicated that very substantial benefits were accruing to rural stakeholders. (Kapur Singh)
Innovation in distribution channel :
The most remarkable innovation by Keggfarms was the invention of a method for physically
distributing the chickens from the hatcheries to the often remote villages, which would require
unconventional methods that provided significant incentives for all of the links in a vast
distribution network that could eventually sell poultry

2Abstract There is a direct correlation between corporate finance performance and women in
leadership roles. The number of female college graduates and overall percentage of females in the

One of the reasons that
5qualified women are not in that pool, is because there are not visible to companies. Therefore
companies and also women need to take actions like: 1. Develop and introduce mentoring
programs (pairing senior women with company chairmen as mentors) 2. Build up systematically
contacts (networking inside and outside the company) 3. Women have to inform company
bosses of the progress in their developments 4. Chief executives have to promote women to their
executive committees Regulatory back up, like quotas, are required, because some men over 60
think that suitable females don t exist because they have never had women as their peers, and
they think women can t take the pressure involved in serving on a board. Furthermore, these
quotas forces companies to develop strategies and programs to retain, attract and develop high
qualified women, who can enter the boardroom. But there is also a down side of quotas.
Companies have to avoid pushing too low qualified women into boardrooms only to meet these
quotas. This will harm the qualified women more than the quotas will help. Work life Balance
With women now making up almost half of the labor force in the Unit States and Europe, they are
increasingly juggling work with care giving responsibilities at home. The solution for this
dilemma is work flexibility and scheduling. There are several solutions and possibilities to increase

Sociology And Religion In Arthur Miller s The Crucible
The Salem witchcraft trials can be examined through many different disciplines. It is recommended
to look at situations from different perspectives to gain a clearer and deeper understanding of the
complex problems that occurred. Granted, the two disciplines selected for this research seem
closely connected at times, however, through the individual lens of each discipline, that is not the
case. The two disciplines Sociologyand Religion, offer a broader range of multiple perspectives,
which is why they are recommended for gaining deeper insight of the Salem witchcrafttrials.
To further examine the Salem witchcraft trials, one must understand the different viewpoints. In
Allen F. Repko s Introduction to Interdisciplinary Studies , there are different approaches to each
discipline. The perspective on reality, the phenomena they study, and the epistemology they
embrace. Sociology is defined in many aspects. The perspective on reality define sociology as ...
viewing the world as a social reality that includes the range and nature of the relationships that
exist between people in any given society... particularly interested in voices of various subcultures,
analysis of institutions and how bureaucracies and vested interests shape life (Repko, 2014, p 27).
This was evident throughout Arthur Miller s play The Crucible . By viewing the relationships
between people and society it is clear as to why the events of Salem took place.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SUGGESTED? I have analyzed the performance
management system and policy of the Overstrand municipality which in my opinion is good and
has been used and applied to their employees for a long time. However, the aforesaid
municipality apparently has not explored other current performance appraisal methods for its
employees. It might have been a good idea to try and test alternative and new methods of
performance evaluation such as self performance assessment and others which will be discussed
at a later stage in my presentation. The former (self performance assessment) has been used and
applied successfully in my organization for which I am working and has yielded good results
and enhanced employee performance as well as employee employer good working relationship.
Cascio and Anguinis (2014:81) argued that it is a good idea to have employees judge their own
performance in an organization. The performance evaluation or assessment in my experience is
always accompanied by goal or target setting and their achievement thereof. The self performance
method should improve individual s motivation and reduce defensiveness during performance
evaluation sessions. Based on my experience of the public and private sector, after self
performance evaluation there is a supervisor s performance rating based on the key performance
indicators that have been achieved on a quarterly basis. If the employee performance

The Effects Of Transition Metals
Transition metals, such as iron, copper, zinc, nickel, and cobalt, play vital roles in numerous
67 biological processes. Because of these metals unique redox and inorganic chemical properties,

69 stability. To thrive, all organisms have to maintain adequate levels of transition metals for their
70 cellular metalloproteins, which account for more than 30% of all proteins in biological systems.

The Unique Language of Jamaica
Introduction
It is often said that Jamaicans have a unique language. Some may say Jamaicans do not have a
language of their own. Jamaicans official language however is Standard English. However there
has been much confusion in the language we speak because we sometimes or often times speak in
what is called Patois, Creole or even Ungrammatical English. This however is not considered a
language.
Patois is not a native language, it is a second language. Patois is a combination of English and
African languages. Patois however reflects on the struggle and history of slavery and the ancestors.
This language however has an effect on Jamaica since being Jamaicans are descendants of Africa.
Despite the fact that patois is not Jamaicans native language it represents their culture and history.
Patois have been used in Jamaicans day to day life to communicate. However this is mostly used in
casual conversations. When having a formal conversation Standard English is used to communicate.
There are three types of patois. These three types of patois are basolet, mesolet and acrolet. Basolet
is the deep patois. This is where person speaks patois only. Acrolet is Standard Jamaican English.
This is where the person speaks only Standard English. As it relates to Mesolet this is a
combination of patois and Standard Jamaican English. Mesolet is however mostly used in present
Jamaica.
Patois is still been used now in Jamaica even though Standard English should be used because of

those activities are anything but normal (Compassion Works International). Protestors do not

Ww1 Life in the Trenches Essay
Phillip Jones March 15, 2005 Essay #1
During World War I, trench warfare was very common. It was a newer technique in battles as in
wars prior to the Great World War, fighting was less invasive and men merely marched at each
other from opposite ends of fields and fought until only one side remained standing or a white
flag was hung high in surrender. In fact in older wars, the fighting was far less dangerous to the
point where battles were often times viewed by locals who watched from side lines with really no
threat of getting hurt. In World War Ihowever, the fighting had upscaled to the most sadistic type
the world had ever experienced. With the industrialist wave that had overcome us in the late 1800s

There is rubble all around them, somewhat signifying their lives as they miss their homes and
families and watch their closest friends die or suffer from deadly battle wounds beside them. In
this picture the men s poses look famished and weak, as you can imagine there was no fine dining
in line for them, only minimal food and beverage they often time shared with nuisance rodents
unwillingly. They seem to sit in waiting for the next attack to befall them in their soiled uniforms
and delusional faces. Their ora suggests a lot about the World War they were fighting in; bleak,
miserable, slow, costly, and vulnerable. All characteristic to the nature of the changes that occurred
in the new and vicious type of warfare in World War I. As Europe switched into War mode,
everyone s lives were altered around the new concentration. As men went off to fight, sit in waiting,
and die in these awful trenches, their wives and children went into the factories. The countries in
Europe, especially the main powers at war such as Germany, Austria Hungary, France, Great
Britain, Russia and Serbia, turned in to war focused economies. All the uniforms, bags, canteens,
weapons, and other materials seen in the picture surrounding the men were the labor of their
countries citizens. The nature of war during World War I was strongly felt and bonded even the

The Stuxnet Virus
The Stuxnet Virus
Abstract:
What diplomacy could not achieve, sanctions could not silent, and for which a military option was
not viable, a cyber attack quietly accomplished.
Kim Zetter an investigative reporter with Wired Magazine online calls Stuxnet, a piece of
software that would ultimately make history as the world s first real cyberweapon. (Zetter, 2011,
sec. 1)
In his article, Is Stuxnet the best malware ever? Gregg Keizer of Computer World says:
The Stuxnet worm is a groundbreaking piece of malware so devious in its use of unpatched
vulnerabilities, so sophisticated in its multipronged approach, that the security ... Show more content

or Israel, that Israeli intelligence tested aspects of the worm using centrifuges identical to Iran s at
Israel s Dimona complex. Even Siemens the German company cooperated with Idaho National
Laboratories in the US to identify the vulnerabilities of computer controllers that the company sells
to operate industrial machinery around the world. Not too long afterwards, those very
vulnerabilities were exploited by Stuxnet.
2. Why a Cyber Attack?
Cyber warfare requires intellect not military might and a country does not have to be a military
superpower to wage a cyber attack. Cyber attack tracks are much easier to cover and are easily
attributable to another entity. While cyber attacks are only recently been declared by our military
and political leadership as acts of war, compared to an actual physical military attack on another
country life can go on as usual for most of the citizens on both sides of the conflict without the
slightest idea that their country is at war. It does not cost billions of dollars to run or manage and
is hardly a long term commitment of hundreds of thousands of troops and the logistics to support
them and their equipment at the front lines. In case of Iran, a cyber attack was the most viable
option available to global powers because the Iranian regime did not hesitate to make threats against
the United States and Israel should it have been attacked militarily to make it stop trying to produce

Carl Sandburg And The American Dream
The American Dream is a well known concept and idea that many immigrants and Americans
strived for in order to become successful. Unlike most countries where rising from rags to riches
was highly uncommon and a hopeless dream, America was a place for people to work hard and
achieve their dreams. Carl Sandburg was a very influential poet who came from very humble
beginnings under immigrant parents who had moved to America. He believed in an ordered society
where people could strive and accomplish what they chose without being influenced by the majority
of the country. To achieve the American Dream
, Sandburg had to travel across the States, overcome
challenging experiences, such as searching for newspapers to work for, keeping a job, and dealing
with the death of his daughter Madeline. His AmericanDreamof becoming a successful poet,
journalist, and goal of leaving a lasting legacy only became reality after many years of hard work
and perseverance.
To begin, there are not many people who can say that their childhood started with joining the
army, later living on the streets, and working a variety of jobs. Due to these circumstances,
Sandburg had many goals and even more ideals he wished to share to the world. As a youth, he
lived a difficult life, as he quit school in 8th grade and was always busy working to help his family
by delivering milk, collecting ice, laying bricks, and more, before becoming a hobo in 1897 (Barr

The Great Deal Of Poetry
There is much image hunting and one often doubts if anything really meaningful is being done.
But there are a number of good poets also, like Dom Moraes, Nissim Ezekiel, P. Lal, Kamala
Das, A.K. Ramanujan and others. Have done, and are doing commendable work. Giving an
estimate of contemporary Indo Anglian Poetry Amalendu Bose writes. As a historical
phenomenon, it is interesting that since 1947 a great deal of poetry has been written by Indians
in English; that in both quality and quantity, this poetry compares very well with the English
poetry that Indians wrote from the days of Derozio and Kashi prasad Ghosh till 1947; that in
both quality and quantity, this poetry perhaps compares well also with the poetry of quite a few
of the current Indian languages. And this poetry of quite a few of the current Indian languages
and that this poetry is the expression of certain attitudes and values believed in by certain sections
of today s Indian society, urban and metropolitan, middle class, familiar with the Euro American
world, either by direct personal experience or in a derivative manner that claims the validity of
direct experience. This poetry, in respect of its purposive of direction as much as of its balance
sheet of achievement, deserves the attention of the serious student of Indian poetry. Today the
Indian novelists writing in English are large in number. Besides Mulk Raj Anand, Raja Rao and
R.K. Narayan, the three foremost Indian writers of fiction in

Youth Crime vs Youth Organized Sports
Introduction:The thesis for my data summative will focus on the idea of a possible correlation
between youth organized sports and youth crime rates. Sports are able to teach youth discipline,
honesty, character building and social skills. Since there are not many variables in the data being
researched most data will be taken from case studies and examples. Although there are a lot of
variables regarding youth crimeit would take too much time and effort to try and pinpoint all the
different factors affecting youth crime (socio economic, cultural influences etc...) and instead we
will focus on two major variables. The rate in which young people are committing crimes in an
area and how much money is being put into organized sports and... Show more content on

What followed was a massive improvement in the recidivism rates that Camp Kilpatrick saw. This
was such as successful movement that eventually there was a documentary which was then later
made into a feature length movie in 2006. The movie featured one scene that producers had a bit
of trouble deciding whether or not to incorporate the teams first game. They had suffered a loss
that they were unprepared for and most of the team broke down into tears. This was a big
breakthrough in the program, although graphically or statistically this has no meaning it showed
that these inmates from different gangs, most of whom which were rival gangs were bonding
through the sport of football and were upset that they had attempted to bond together against
another team and lost. This prompted further teamwork among rival gangs and eventually the team
found itself in the championship game in which they lost a close game of 13 7. This alone would
not amount to much, maybe it meant that for one year the detention centre had a good year of
inmates who were willing to look past their differences.
Although the detention centre doesn t keep records or come up with statistics it is generally
thought that out of inmates who participated in athletics 70% do not re offend , when in
comparison to the general population of the detention centre which has a recidivism rate of around
75%6. In short this means that the according to the camp officials roughly 1/3 of the athletes

1. The film that I viewed was The Lion King 2 Simba s Pride.
Simba, the King of the Pride Lands is now a father. His daughter Kiara is eager to explore
beyond the Pride Lands, but Simba tries to shelter her from danger. One day Kiara s curiosity
draws her into the Out Lands, where she bumps into Scar s adopted son Kovu. They become
friends, but Kovu s evil mother Zira and Simba quickly separate the two. Zira raises Kovu for the
sole purpose of someday killing Simba. Years later, on the day of Kiara s first solo hunt, they run
into each other again. Kovu rescues her from a fire and then asks to join Simba s pride. This is all

b)An advantage of hiring famous actors is that they help to promote the movie. Famous actors
have huge fan followings of all ages, so the movie can appeal to all ages, not just children. A
couple disadvantages of using famous actors is that they are expensive to hire, and sometimes
the the actor doesn t suit the character they are playing. An example of this could be Mathew
Broderick as Simba. Matthew Broderick is a well known actor in Ferris Bueller s Day Off, where
he plays the role of a mischievous teenager. This doesn t suit the role of Simba who is a
responsible, overprotective father.
4. (1) The director does a purposeful close up shot on Simba s face to show his emotion change
from anger and confusion to peace and understanding. Simba is angry because he and his pride
are being attacked by the exiled pride of lions. His emotion then changes to confusion as Kiara
jumps in front of him to stop the fight. Kiara tells Simba a wise King once told me, we are one.
She continues to explain to him that the exiled lions and the pride land lions are the same. We see
the and feel the emotion of peace and pride in Simba s eyes in the close up shot.
(2) The director purposefully made Simba, Nala, Kiara, Kovu, and Zira more brightly colored then
the rest of the lions in each of their prides. He did this so that these main

He had finished with his business in Anchorage, so he decided to catch a plane back to Portland

It was going to be the perfect surprise. He would make sure of it. But first, he needed to take a
shower and change out of his traveling clothes.
He was surprised to see her car parked in the driveway to their home, since she was normally out

How to Play Poker Like a Professional Essay
How to Play Poker Like a Professional
Poker is an ancient game of skill and strategy. While the initial hand dealt does help determine
the outcome of the round, a good poker player can turn a seemingly bad hand into a winner. The
strategy lies in the expressions of your opponents and in the cards lying face up on the table. Master
these simple tasks, and you will be able to play poker like a professional.
The Basic Rules For Play
There are many varieties of this highly popular card game, but I will teach you how to play the
very common five card stud . The game begins, as most do, with an ante of the lowest possible
chip in your possession. This may be changed later on but is normally played this way. ... Show

Second, it is to see the bets of the other players and compare hands (a high bet meaning a seemingly
good hand, low bet meaning the opposite). And third, to bluff your opponents for any reason. When
betting, you can also fold . This means that you drop out of the game and cannot come back in.
If choosing to fold, you lose your bet, but will not have to bet again. This type of play is done if
the person does not have any sort of hand going for him. Play continues until all cards are dealt
and all bets have been placed. Then you show your cards, starting with the person who placed the
final bet first. The winner takes the pot which is all the bets that have been placed in the middle.
Hand Values
The winner is based upon who has the most valuable five card hand. If the same hand is tied for
winner, the hand of higher value wins. Example would be out of a pair of sevens and a pair of
sixes, the sevens would win. The card values are as follows starting with lowest and going to
highest:
1. High card This is based upon the one card of highest value in the players hand.
2. Pair These are two cards that are the same number. Ex: Two six s is considered a low pair.
3. Two pair The names says it all, two pairs. The highest pair is the worth of the hand.
4. Three of a kind

Perceval Alternate Ending
Lying in bed, Perceval blinked his eyes open. The bright morning sunlight filtering into the
bedchamber had woken him. He gazed out the window at the azure blue sky, then turned to face
his sleeping wife and smiled. She snored lightly and Perceval found that adorable. However, at
the sound of Perceval s stomach rumbling, Joan woke with a start, her expression groggy and
confused. Oh, I d forgotten where I was for a moment, she said, stretching out her arms above her
head, yawning. But what was that sound? My stomach calling for food, Perceval told her with a

No! It s far too costly. No it isn t. But I m buying it either way, so if you don t wear it, I ll be

if it fit around your wrist. True. Then I suppose you d better wear it. Perceval completed the
transaction with the merchant then tied the new gift around his wife s neck. How does it look?
she asked. Not bad, but you re far more beautiful than any necklace, Perceval teased, then bent
down to kiss Joan right in the middle of the marketplace. His kiss was punctuated by a few
whistles and shouts of approval from passers by. Perceval stepped back and glanced at Joan
again. Forget the silly necklace; he wanted to press his lips to the creamy white skin of her
throat and keep kissing, lower and lower. He pictured himself pleasing her orally again, being
pleased orally, and yes, having her right up against a wall. Gods, she was the most alluring creature
ever, and he wanted her every moment of every day. Gawain would approve of these thoughts,

Brutus Or Scratch Research Paper
Brutus or Scratch One of the biggest decisions that people face is thrown upon them during their
senior year of high school. Deciding on a college is one of the largest decisions that people face.
This big decision has been weighing heavily on me lately. There are many options when it comes
to choosing a college. Deciding whether or not to go out of state is also a huge decision that
students make. The college decision can lead to many opportunities later on in life. Although The
University of Kentucky and The OhioState University both appeal to me, I am leaning toward The
OhioState University because of its size, affordability, and its higher medical school ranking. The

There are so many opportunities at the The University of Kentucky. UK is conveniently located
in Lexington, Kentucky, and I happen to really love the city. Although Kentucky isn t my first
option at the moment, it does offer some amazing things. The dorm rooms at The University of
Kentucky are very new ( Room Types ). These newer rooms are very spacious and very modern.
There are also many room types to choose from at The University of Kentucky. This is a big pro
if I were to go to Kentucky for college. On the other hand, Kentucky is very far from home. From
Lexington to my house it is about a three or four hour car ride ( Google Maps Kentucky ). This,
in my opinion, is too long of a drive from home. The distance, however, is not the only con to
going to The University of Kentucky. Since my home is in Ohio, I would have to pay out of
state tuition at UK. College is expensive as it is and out of state tuition makes it almost
impossible for me to go to the University of Kentucky. UK would cost about $40,000 a year
(Money). Although this price is expected to go down due to scholarships and grants, the price is
still too high. Another downfall to Kentucky is the medical school ranking. Kentucky medical
school is ranked 64th ( University of Kentucky ). Although a rank of 64 is not too bad, it is still
considerably lower than Ohio State s medical school rank. I am looking for a large school. The

Flexible Spending Account Analysis
The deductible is the amount the member pays for services after claim have been processed by the
insurance company. The insurance determines the amount that s applied towards the members
deductible. The amount owed depends on facts of the claim such as the type of service(s) the
quantity of the service(s), and where the service took place. It could take many services like doctor
s visits, test, prescriptions refills, to meet the full deductible. The patient will receive a statement
(bill) from the service provider for the amount determined by the insurancecompany.
Choosing the high or low deductible plan may depend on how much money you want or could

It s like you can either pay now or later when it comes to deductibles. With low deductible plans,
some employers may offer a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to help with medical expenses.
Typically, low deductible plans have higher co pays that can be paid with the FSA card.
Flexible spending account FSA and health savings accounts HSA have some similarities, but
they are different. They both have a limit to the amount you can contribute and both offers
convenient debit cards to be used for medical expenses. The FSA allow for all funds to be
available the first day benefits active. The FSA will not allow unused funds to be rolled over to
the next plan year. Members agree to an use it or lose it agreement when opening a flexible
spending account.
Once a members deductible is met the insurance company will then pay claims at a cost sharing
rate. Which means the co insurance has now kicked in and now the insurance with pay a part of
the claim and the member will pay the other part. The co insurance is usually an 80% 20% or
70% 30% ratio. (insurance pays the higher %) Meaning during the processing of the claim(s) the
insurance will pay their percentage and have the member pay their part. This will also be paid to

However, ironically, the celebrity identities that captivate fans are usually a carefully staged
illusion (Nicol, 2006, p. 67). Celebrities may appear magical or superhuman (Rojek, 2001, p. 13),
but that is often because they are cultural fabrications (Rojek, 2001, p. 10). This can be thanks to
the celebritys management and public relations team, but it is chiefly credited to the media, who
can build up a celebrities image or tear it down. Following Lennon s death, the media universally
represented him as almost god like. In both articles from the day the news of Lennon s death broke

somewhat tenuous (McCutcheon, Lange, Houran, 2002, p. 69). The act of stalking revolves
around desires and emotions we all share (Nicol, 2006, p. 13), so by criminalizing stalkers, society
absolves the rest of us from recognizing unreasonable, possessive tendencies with respect to stars in
our own habitual behaviour (Rojek, 2012, p. 50). Even though the MailOnline article had the
advantage of hindsight, it still criticizes Chapman for his inappropriate obsession, meanwhile,

  • 3. How I Can Become An Ideal Project Manager Since I have no experience as a project manager, according what I have collected from above literatures and what I have perceived in my own point of view, I have the following ideas of how I can become an ideal project manager. 1. To be a leader During the past years of working, I have always played the role of team member but never tried to lead a team to actually accomplish a project, so the most challenging trait for me to learn as a project manager is to be a leader. I now know that a project leader should do a lot more than plan, organise, control, coordinate, monitor and closure. While such activities are all very important and must be correctly done, those functions are not enough for a good leader to accomplish. That is to say, ... As a leader, it is best to eliminate the risk before it really cause any loss of the project, which requires prospective and forward thinking. They are always looking for better ways to take actions on potential risks. And when risk really happens, leaders should be able to take the procedure to minimize the adverse effect of a possible loss, which requires fresh information at any time. The leader should be competent to abstract useful information and find the most efficient ways to deal with risks. 4) Leadership means the ability to motivate those around you To motivate people to realize their maximum potential, a good leader can is get all the team members to perform enthusiastically, confidently. As people around you are from different cultures, motivating implies listening, trusting, empowering, coaching, enable them to work discreetly and creatively. 2. Capable of continual and effective monitor Control and monitor are an important part of every project manager s job, in this part, the project manager should always think about how to keep the project on track, on time and within budget. • 7. Analysis Of Blood Wedding By Federico Garcia Lorca And... Blood Wedding, a play written by Federico GarcГa Lorca and translated by Jo Clifford, employs both symbolism and characterisation as literary techniques in the construction of the female protagonists. Through the use of literary symbolism and characterisation, Lorca constructs individual traits that enhance audience response by revealing cultural and temporal context against which it was written. Women portray arguably the most significant roles and interpretation, with the female roles are largely constructing the recurring themes of tradition and tension. It is via this process that the narrative progresses, resulting in movement through our understanding of the traditional values underpinning Spanish life and culture at the time of writing. Throughout, emphasis is placed upon traditional religious values such as arranged marriage, particularly highlighting gender roles and female oppression. In addition, the Andalusian society is largely governed under patriarchal jurisdiction. This essay will examine how Lorca has employed symbolism and characterisation, and to what extent they permit a successful construction of the women in Blood Wedding. Lorca utilizes a range of symbols to create the atmosphere, in order to apprise the audience of Andalusian society and the approach to which female gender roles are understood. Initially, frequent use and significant emphasis is placed upon the natural symbolism to exhibit notions of growth, femininity, sensuality, fertility and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Research Objectives The research completed by Shiv et al (2004), was to identify whether or not dysfunctions in neural systems controlling emotions could influence and promote individual s gambling abilities. Emotions can be either beneficial or detrimental to one s behaviour; it depends on what task is on hand and the individual differences. As previous research in neuroscience has highlighted the positive roles of emotions in everyday decision making, Shiv et al (2004) wanted to test out if individuals with dysfunctional emotional reactions could actually make better decisions than normal individuals. A specific scenario that brought curiosity to the researchers was how a patient with ventromedial prefrontal damage, an area responsible for fear, responded accurately to hazardous road conditions. Instead of becoming fearful and stepping on the breaks during icy roads, this individual lacked fear so the patient assessed the situation and responded properly. This patient with ventromedial prefrontal cortex damage handled the hazardous situation logically rather than emotionally, allowed him to react properly. Shiv et al (2004) are specifically looking at how dysfunctions in neural systems controlling emotions could affect gambling abilities. As normal individuals usually display a myopic loss aversion, high levels of risk aversion towards gambling, this study wants to detect if individuals with injuries with emotional brain circuitry systems would also have myopic loss ... • 22. Pay Gap Statement Introduction Outline/Description of Problem: The pay gap between men and women has become quite a topic today. The difference in pay are very common now in many career paths where men and women are doing the same work amount. It is rare to think that when men and women are performing the same task and are just as qualified as each other that they would get paid the same. Introduction to Controversy: As the wage gap is being discussed more, the question is why do men and women have different wages when they are working the same job. While it seems that men don t have to take as much time off from work or may work more, we have to look at it from Women s viewpoints also. There is a great debate going on right now on the subject of genetically modified foods, or GMOs. For some, the idea of GMO food is a good one because the modifications allow crops to become resistant to drought and infestations, letting more people have more regular meals. Some research even shows that the world produces 17% more food than it needs to produce to provide each current human with three squares per day (Healthcare Articles and Infographics, 2013)! Others look at genetically modified foods as a dangerous proposition. From allergic reactions to potential intestinal damage, many people wish to avoid GMO foods because of animal studies that have shown changes in internal cell structure, abnormal tumor growth, and unexpected deaths that have occurred (Healthcare Articles and Infographics, 2013). By 2050, farmers must produce 40% more food to feed an estimated 9 billion people on the planet. Either current yields will have to increase or farmland will expand farther into forests and jungles. In some cases, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) would offer an alternative way to boost yields without sacrificing more land or using more pesticides (Maxmen, 2013). • 24. What Is Okonkwo s Role In Igbo Society Since the civilization of the African continent the natives were seen as uncivilized and wild. Achebe throughout Things Fall Apart works to counter these very stereotypes. Set in an Ibo village in Nigeria during the start of European civilization, the book focuses on the main character Okonkwo and his prideful life to give insight on the true nature of Ibo culture. Achebe uses the abstract concept of the patriarchal society and importance of conversation to humanize the Ibo people. Seen in the interaction between Okonkwo and his wives, this matter illustrates the influential role of the patriarch in Ibo society. Speaking of his role in society Okonkwo gives the advice that, if [a man] was unable to rule his women...he was not really a man (Achebe 53). Based off of Okonkwo s advice we know the men in Ibo society hold the power over their families and if they can not control their family that they are not really a man. The user satisfaction is influenced by the system, information, and service quality. Increases in quality tend to increase the user satisfaction. The user satisfaction also has an influence on the intention to use the system. Furthermore, the modified model adds user technical capabilities as an aspect related to user satisfaction. Individuals who have greater technical capabilities are more likely to be satisfied with well designed systems (Petter, DeLone McLean, 2013). It should be noted that there are interactions between use, user satisfaction, and intention to use the system (Kavanagh Thite, 2009). Intentions to use the system often lead to use. The use can lead to higher levels of user satisfaction and further increased intentions to use the system. The reverse is true as well. If there is a low level of user satisfaction, then the intention to use the system will decrease. The use and user satisfaction relate directly to the net benefits. If the use of the system leads to significant benefits, then the net benefits will lead to increases in user satisfaction and intention to use the system. In other words, if individuals begin using that system and find that it has a number of net benefits, they are likely to be satisfied and plan to use the system more frequently in the future (Wang Liao, 2008). To counter the argument that capital punishment is uncivilized, Van Den Haag points out that most civilizations have had the death penalty at some point in their history. After analyzing and evaluating both arguments, I believe that the most reasonable conclusion is that Reiman s argument is stronger; therefore, I also conclude that Van Den Haag s argument is weaker. The first argument that both Van Den Haag and Reiman argue is the deterrent effect and, for lack of evidence, both admit that this argument is only speculation. Van Den Haag s argument on this subject is only lacking in that he didn t consider the possibility of practicing capital punishment cancelling out the deterrent effect of not practicing capital punishment. It was a newer technique in battles as in wars prior to the Great World War, fighting was less invasive and men merely marched at each other from opposite ends of fields and fought until only one side remained standing or a white flag was hung high in surrender. In fact in older wars, the fighting was far less dangerous to the point where battles were often times viewed by locals who watched from side lines with really no threat of getting hurt. In World War Ihowever, the fighting had upscaled to the most sadistic type the world had ever experienced. With the industrialist wave that had overcome us in the late 1800s into ... Not too long afterwards, those very vulnerabilities were exploited by Stuxnet. 2. Why a Cyber Attack? Cyber warfare requires intellect not military might and a country does not have to be a military superpower to wage a cyber attack. Cyber attack tracks are much easier to cover and are easily attributable to another entity. While cyber attacks are only recently been declared by our military and political leadership as acts of war, compared to an actual physical military attack on another country life can go on as usual for most of the citizens on both sides of the conflict without the slightest idea that their country is at war. It does not cost billions of dollars to run or manage and is hardly a long term commitment of hundreds of thousands of troops and the logistics to support them and their equipment at the front lines. In case of Iran, a cyber attack was the most viable option available to global powers because the Iranian regime did not hesitate to make threats against the United States and Israel should it have been attacked militarily to make it stop trying to produce nuclear ... Unlike most countries where rising from rags to riches was highly uncommon and a hopeless dream, America was a place for people to work hard and achieve their dreams. Carl Sandburg was a very influential poet who came from very humble beginnings under immigrant parents who had moved to America. He believed in an ordered society where people could strive and accomplish what they chose without being influenced by the majority of the country. To achieve the American Dream , Sandburg had to travel across the States, overcome challenging experiences, such as searching for newspapers to work for, keeping a job, and dealing with the death of his daughter Madeline. His AmericanDreamof becoming a successful poet, journalist, and goal of leaving a lasting legacy only became reality after many years of hard work and perseverance. To begin, there are not many people who can say that their childhood started with joining the army, later living on the streets, and working a variety of jobs. Due to these circumstances, Sandburg had many goals and even more ideals he wished to share to the world. As a youth, he lived a difficult life, as he quit school in 8th grade and was always busy working to help his family by delivering milk, collecting ice, laying bricks, and more, before becoming a hobo in 1897 (Barr 1). They had suffered a loss that they were unprepared for and most of the team broke down into tears. This was a big breakthrough in the program, although graphically or statistically this has no meaning it showed that these inmates from different gangs, most of whom which were rival gangs were bonding through the sport of football and were upset that they had attempted to bond together against another team and lost. This prompted further teamwork among rival gangs and eventually the team found itself in the championship game in which they lost a close game of 13 7. This alone would not amount to much, maybe it meant that for one year the detention centre had a good year of inmates who were willing to look past their differences. While the initial hand dealt does help determine the outcome of the round, a good poker player can turn a seemingly bad hand into a winner. The strategy lies in the expressions of your opponents and in the cards lying face up on the table. Master these simple tasks, and you will be able to play poker like a professional. The Basic Rules For Play There are many varieties of this highly popular card game, but I will teach you how to play the very common five card stud . This type of play is done if the person does not have any sort of hand going for him. Play continues until all cards are dealt and all bets have been placed. Then you show your cards, starting with the person who placed the final bet first. The winner takes the pot which is all the bets that have been placed in the middle. Hand Values The winner is based upon who has the most valuable five card hand. If the same hand is tied for winner, the hand of higher value wins.
