In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

This video was originally an assignment I made for my college s TV station. I wanted to
explore the history of Friendship House, a unique, little known piece of historical architecture in
my home town, and tell the story of how it came to be at the college, while raising awareness of
this one of a kind landmark in my area. Friendship House is the last surviving Tidewater
Maryland home, a style of house that was built all along the Potomac in colonial Maryland. in
1766, Friendship House in particular was built by Warren Dent, a member of an upper class
Maryland family, on a tract of land that would come to be known as Friendship Landing. The
property was passed down through the Dent family until 1816, when Friendship House was sold to

3. Literature Review On Teamwork
Literature Review
Teamwork is generally considered as the willingness of a group of people to work together to
achieve a common aim. Teams play a major role in our lives. Working in groups is probably an
inevitable life experience. Teams are everywhere: in educational places, workplaces, and
neighborhood. This review will focus on three themes which emerge repeatedly throughout the
literature reviewed. These themes are: student s benefits from learning in groups, the importance of
teamwork skills in work and school, and teamwork as a key to success for teachers and
paraeducators.
Teamwork has a big amount of advantages which can be got by every member of the team. The
article Student s benefits from learning in groups (n.d.) illustrates the positive sides of group
working and things that should be done in order to achieve benefits. Harvard publishes a guide to
working in teams, with information significant to both tutors and students. Methods are the
following: organizing the work and managing team activities; including everyone and their ideas;
leading the group and focusing on a direction. As Hartley and Robson assert (1999, as cited ... Show

The article by Elrick (2015) has the same argument about effectiveness of group work,
specifically at school and workplace. Profitable teamwork and collaboration not only help with
completing tasks but can also open your eyes to new ideas and widen your outlook. As Wagner
(2015) asserts, students preparing for future careers will find that skills obtained in college can
support cooperation attributes that are very much required at places of employment; they also
gain experience and learn how to advise. Moreover, the writer claims that knowledge and
technical skills are not enough, not being willing to collaborate can be a red flag for an employer.
Consequently, there is no school or workplace without teamwork because it leads to benefit and

Subsequent to being blinded by the heroine, Polyphemus tosses huge pieces of rocks at

Odysseus keeps on provoking Polyphemus and [calls] out to the cyclopes again, with [his] men

them as child sheeps who should forfeit their lives for him when the circumstances comes, much
the same as how mortals make conciliatory offerings of sheeps for the heavenly gods. He is
willing to fulfill his own feeling of interest without thinking of his groups lives or their

In researching a dream jobs and potential career opportunities I came across an internship at the
highly acclaimed Morgan Stanley. This would be a dream job of mine to work in one of the largest
business firms across the globe with multiple locations in numerous counties. Morgan Stanley offers
an extensive number of internships one of these being a Summer Analyst in the finance sector of
the firm. The opportunity to do these would develop my knowledgewithin the industry and
networking with senior members of the organisation would ideally lead to getting a job within the

In the description of the skills required Morgan Stanley make it explicitly clear what type of

leadership skills. In every workplace in the industry of finance it is key to demonstrate leadership
qualities. There will be times where you need to be the leader and take command of a project and

6. Differences And Similarities Between The Byzantine Empire...
The Mayan Empire was a Mesoamerican society that had its Classic Age from 250 900 CE. By
contrast, the Byzantine Empire was a continuation of the Roman Empire in the Eastern
Mediterranean and Anatolia, which lasted from the 400s CE to 1453 CE. Both the Maya and
Byzantine Empires used often similar but also differing methods of political control in order to
govern the large populations in their respective domains. The major similarity between the two is
the focus on religious authority in both empires. The Byzantine Empire was a theocracy with its
main religion as Orthodox Christianity, and the emperor was believed to be a representative or
messenger of Jesus Christ. With the decline of Rome to the west, the Church of Constantinople (the

The Byzantine Empire had a centralized structure, where the emperor held absolute control over
all others in an autocratic system. His power was said to have divine origins. Administrative
divisions that divided the empire into manageable chunks, called themes, only served to help in
terms of military distribution; politically, they held no power. Contrast this system to the Maya
Empire, which wasn t really an empire at all. Similar to ancient Greece, the Maya were more of
a people with a shared culture than anything, comprised of many small nation states that were
constantly at war with each other. Unlike any other empire, the Maya were never unified under
any single ruler or government. The Maya were fragmented, while the Byzantines were much
more centralized. The other major difference between the two empires is an extension of the
main difference. Due to the Byzantine Empire s relative regional dominance, foreign policy
consisted mostly of diplomacy with surrounding peoples. Much of it was focused on treaty
making and alliance building; the Byzantines took diplomacy very seriously and considered
effective diplomacy to be a way of waging war in peacetime. However, for much of their history,
they were not saddled with any sort of physical warring. The Maya, however, were consistently at
war, and the relationships between nations were a web of dominance,

7. Urban Sprawl, Inner City Growth, And Suburban Developments
Recently, people in different displines have vigorously discussed and suggested issues, goals, and
principles to create better future settlements to fight against problems of urban sprawl, inner city
decline, and suburban developments. As a part of these efforts, several sustainable models (e.g.,
smart growth, new urbanism, sustainable development, resilient community, or etc.) have been
proposed and implemented. Please discuss topics below.
Q 1. Several decades ago, suburban was one of the utopias where people wanted to live. But some
things are changing now. What were/are the major causes of the current emergence of sustainable
models? Please make good arguments based on the history of suburban development, urban sprawl,

Besides, improved infrastructure and rise in living standard made these suburbs more attractive.
So people are willing to sacrifice more commuting time to live in these suburban communities.
From development perspective, irrational development overrules reasonably urban planning, and
led to unprecedented development in suburbs. Another factor that contributes to urban sprawl is
rise in population, the fact that the number of people live in cities exceed the capacity means
people have to move out. The last reason could be people s preference, people want larger homes,
more rooms, bigger balconies and bigger lawns, so when it is economically feasible, people will
move to suburban.
Some of the negative effects of urban sprawl include increased public expenditure, because to
develop these suburbs, the cities have bring more infrastructure and the money usually comes
from tax payer. The second is increased traffic, because typical urban sprawl makes commuting
time longer, when it lack public transportation, people have to drive more car, it will cause more
traffic jam, more air pollution and more auto accidents. The third is health issue, people live in
suburbs excise less because they rely on cars to go to groceries, churches etc. The forth problem is

10. The Importance Of My High School Band
I play the French horn in my high school band. Our band is small only 25 30 members but we
are a family. Each class I see the determination on each person s face to do well because there s
the constant pressure of letting the rest of the band down. Because we are so small, each person
has to play to the absolute best of their abilities; each individual person needs to be a strong
player in order for our band to sound good. I ve played in larger bands on several occasions and I
was shocked to see that some kids would just... not play. Our band cannot afford that leniency.
Our size in itself is a challenge. However, I have personal struggles within the band as well. There
have only been two French horn players in my band for the entirety of my high school career:
myself and the number one horn player in the state, Cross. My whole life I have played second to
an amazing musician but while I improved by playing with him, I also never received any
recognition for my personal achievements or was ever granted the primary leadership position.
I often struggle to comprehend how good of a player I am, especially because I have performance
anxiety which hinders me during auditions and most performances. I constantly compare myself to
this amazing player who auditions well, who is regularly being recognized for musical
achievements, and who can never quite understand the concept of humility. He never understood
my struggle, so I was left adrift in an overwhelming sea of ineptitude.

A healthy diet helps keep the digestive system working properly. The mouth, esophagus, stomach,

esophagus, and stomach break down the food, the small intestines absorbs the nutrients and energy

Explain the different types of rumination (the cognitive level) that Denson describes. Do these
distinctions make sense to you? Denson describes three different types of rumination at the
cognitive level: content focus, mode of processing, and the vantage perspective. The content focus
of rumination is either provocation focused or self focused. Provocation focused rumination is
concerned with the incident that angered them (e.g. the person who insulted them and leads to

Put the functional account of angry rumination into your own words, so it s clear that you
understand it. Also, what do you think about the idea of collective rumination? The functional
account of angry rumination suggests that angry rumination is an adaptive by product anger and
self awareness. Angry rumination may be helpful because ruminating postpones a person from
making rash anger fueled decisions when confrontation may be risky until a time that it is safe to
take action. It may also prevent forgiveness, which makes it easier to take action again wrong
doers. Physiological outcomes of angry rumination support that this type of rumination is
preparing the body for physical action, such as revenge. Self focused rumination and self critical
emotion may also cause a person to change their behavior for the better in order to fit with societal
norms and expectations. I believe collective rumination has a good basis. People tend to empathize
with those close to them, meaning it is likely that angry rumination in one individual can be

Abstract
The purpose behind this study was to examine consumer feelings towards purchasing
environmentally friendly clothing. This study focuses on the consumers feelings towards
environmentally friendly clothing. To evaluate this, a survey was administered to 15 respondents,
7 of which were a random sample of students in Sequoia Hall at CSUN and 8 of which were
randomly selected consumers shopping on Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks, California. They were
asked how likely they are to purchase environmentally friendly clothing (mean of 4.73). A larger

16. Catholics Should Discriminate Against Same Sex Couples
From a feminist s perspective 2012 was a huge year for marriage equality. President Obama
allowed people of the same sex to get married. The LGBT celebrated by having parades and
parties. The course of LGBT rights history continued on. The sacrament of marriage has changed
within our society by becoming more sacred. It is the right thing to make same sex marriagelegal
because if it wasn t then that wouldn t be fair to our LGBTcommunity. Catholics can continue to
believe their religious beliefs in an appropriate way that does not discriminate against other groups.
Catholics can value the sacrament of marriage by sharing it amongst people from different cultures.
Nobody, not just Catholics should discriminate against same sex couples because

17. The Movie And Critique Of Beauty And The Beast
Beauty and the Beast was an amazing musical, many say it was much better than the movie. Just
like the movie. It starts off in a faraway land, with the Young Prince who lived in a shining
castled. The prince was spoiled, selfish and unkind. An old beggar woman came to the castle
and offered him a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold. Repulsed by her haggard
appearance, the Prince sneered at the gift and turned the old woman away. The old woman
warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is to be found within. And when he
sent her away again, the old woman s ugliness melted away to reveal a beautiful enchantress. The
Prince tried to apologise, but it was too late. As punishment, she transformed him into a hideous
beast and placed a powerful spell on the castle and all who lived there. The Rose she had offered
was truly an enchanted rose. If he could learn to loveanother and earn their love in return before
the last petal fell, the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a Beast for all
time.

Over the years, animation has taken leaps and bounds to be where it is today. Especially Disney
Animation Studios, who have produced current movies like Tangled and Frozen, which rely solely
on computer rendering, display the latest in animation technology. But when one thinks of Disney
animation, one thing comes to mind always. Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse is the icon of Disney
animation, and rose quickly in popularity among the audience of the world. Mickey is an icon,
and can be identified by anyone anywhere due to how influential he is. But how did he come to
be? Mickey has advanced greatly over the years, and has led many of the strides in improvements
in animation and cinema, starting back in 1928. In test cartoons by Walt Disney, Mickey... Show

With the transition to color, the cartoon never looked back, and never was produced in black and
white again. Also, the style of Mickey himself was changed after this cartoon, with his eyes
changing from black dots to more expressive eyes over time, and his body became more flexible
where his joints lost their angularity (Frank). With these improvements, it became easier to
incorporate more emotion into the cartoons, and therefore make the cartoons more in depth. From
personal observation, I saw the improvements from prior cartoons being that the animation was
much more fluid, with Mickey s arms and other characters movements overall being decently fluid
and continuous. Another thing that is still a main factor of the cartoon is the use of music. The
music is the main driving force of the cartoon, and they do well at incorporating the music into the
comedy, and incorporating different characters with different musical styles and intentions. This
can be seen between Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, Mickey being the conductor and Donald
playing a flute to agitate Mickey. Beside the point, the cartoon is advanced compared to Steamboat
Willie, and it still imitates the use of repetitive movements for the characters in the shot (Mickey).
This increases the value of the comedy and helps the viewers interpret the situation on the screen.

These theories have been used by Nissan to improve their productivity. However JIT and Lean
Combined together makes Toyota Production System. For more clarity I am discussing each
theory individually first is JIT is a continuous process and it forces problem by reduced inventory.
With this theory only material are called when they are needed according to the demand. The JIT
is also broken down in to five segments which are JIT Partnerships which exist when a supplier
and a purchaser work together with open communication and a target of removing waste and
lowering down the cost. The second is JIT layouts which is designed to reduce the movements. JIT
materials layout place material directly where they are needed. The third is JIT inventory which
works to overcome any hurdle if arises in the way. The fourth is JIT scheduling where effective
schedules are communicated both within the organization and to outside suppliers. By being able
to utilize these methods Nissan would able to overhaul their process and work to create a JIT
environment to utilize all methods and start saving tremendous amount of overhead and
expenditures. Like other theories there are some advantages and disadvantages of JIT. Advantages
include efficient replenishment systems, more free space, less manpower required to maintain the
inventory levels. The disadvantages are Vulnerable to any demand fluctuation caused by reason i.e.

20. Economic Commentary on Comcast s Prospective Acquisition...
IB Economic Commentary
Even in technology there are monstrous firms that are power thirsty and try to have the whole
market to themselves. Comcast wants to acquire Time Warner Cable for a $45 billion offer. This
is a disadvantage to the consumers because Comcast will have the position as the dominant cable
operator. Furthermore, that could lead to a decline in competitive pressure. Therefore, is it a wise
decision for the deal to be allowed to go through?
Monopoly is a single firm that controls the market of a given product. In a monopoly there is an
absence of competition, which results in high prices and inferior products. Because there is an
absence of competition and the firm has total domination of the market, the demand curve in the
entire market for the good is equal to the demand for the individual firm s output. A key
characteristic of a monopoly is the individual s firm downward sloping demand that shows that the
firm has some market power. Market power is the ability to control price without losing market
share. A monopoly s profit maximization is achieved when marginal cost equals marginal revenue.
Comcast is already a monopoly in a few states, but with the acquisition of Time Warner Cable, it
will obtain coverage of almost one third of the United States as seen in the map below (Graph 1).
With one third of the United States covered by one cable corporation, that leads to an absence of
competition. Therefore, we see in the graph below that Comcast will cause

22. Solving Multi Criteria Decision Making Problems
There are several methods to solve multi criteria decision making problems. Analytic Hierarchy
Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) are two methods created by Tomas Saaty.
AHP endeavor to solve the decision making problem by formed it in a hierarchy while ANP is
used when the problem is so complex that cannot be formed as a hierarchy. This complexity
happens because of the effect of criteria between each other or the effect of alternatives on criteria.
Generally we can say The Analytic Network Process is a generalization of the Analytic Hierarchy
Process. The ANP approach can be comprises in to four steps [87]:
Step 1: Model construction and problem structuring: The problem should be stated clearly and
decomposed into a rational system like a network
Step 2: Pairwise comparisons and priority vectors: In ANP, like AHP, pairs of decision elements at
each cluster are compared with respect to their importance towards their control criteria.
Furthermore, interdependencies among criteria of a cluster must also be treated pairwise; thus the
influence of each element on other elements can be represented by an eigenvector. The relative
importance values are determined with Saaty s nine scales.
Step 3: Supermatrix structure: the Supermatrix concept is similar to the Markov chain process. To
obtain global priorities in a system with interdependent influences, the local priority vectors are
entered in the appropriate columns of a matrix. As a result, a supermatrix is

23. Prostate Cancer And Its Effects On African Americans
Prostate Cancer in Brooklyn
Chandra Tameshwar
Nursing 304
Professor Dr. McDuffie
Prostate cancer originates in the male prostate gland. Cancers in this gland are the most common
malignancies, which grow very slowly, and can have minimal effect on a man s quality of life.
However, a tumor in the prostate gland can be problematic for men, especially black men, even
though it is only about the size of a walnut. Located below the bladder and in front of the rectum,
the prostate provides the fluid that nourishes and protects sperm cells in the semen. Researchers are
still debating the cause of this disease, although certain risk factors such as age, ethnicity, culture,
environment, diet, and family history, increase the chance of getting it. Prostate cancer affects
African American men and early screening and detection are the key factors that can be used to
prevent mortality and reduce morbidity, especially in the Brooklyn area. Prostate cancer is the
second leading cause of cancer death in African American men and has the highest reported
mor¬tality rate, which is 2.4 times higher than in Caucasian men or any racial or ethnic group in
the United States, according to The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC; 2014).
African American males, including those from Jamaica, a Caribbean Island, have the highest
prostate cancer incidence rates worldwide. The reason for this is not clear, but may reflect genetic
factors that vary in populations

Today, the federal government controls unrestricted means to execute whatsoever the elected
official desire, without reverence for the Constitution the aforementioned vanished gradually.
Common people are not knowledgeable that the United States in 1776 did not have an income tax,
and in 1913; a perpetual income taxwas inflicted upon the people. In actual fact, the Constitution
disallowed an income tax. For longer than a century, the leadership endured completely without
proceeds from wages. Formerly, the U.S. government performed by means of tariffs from imported
products and excise taxes required at the fabricating point of domestic commodities.
Consequently, U.S. government was only able to procure a limited amount of funds because they
depended on tariffs and excise taxes. State and local governments also had a limitation on taxation.
For the reason that taxes affect the costs of goods, therefore they are they were constrained. To be
exact, the government could not aquire unlimited funds from the people. When a product is priced
to high, the consumer is unable to buy the product. Therefore, sales tax decreases, and tax revenues
plummet. Indirect tax is imposed on services or commodities, in lieu of companies and individual
people. Direct tax is the taxation on properties such as real or personal were the expenses cannot
be escaped.

Man and Nature
A person who plants at least one Neem tree, one Peepal tree, One Banyan tree, two Pomegranates,
five mangoes, two oranges, and any ten flowering shrubs, including creepers, shall never go to hell.
Varah Purana
Nature refers to the physical world including plants, land, soil, animals and other elements of earth.
There is deep relation between Man and Nature so the effects on either one can hardly be treated
in isolation. The Rishis and Munis of the past had a great amount of respect for nature. This respect
was free from superstitions and was based on rational theology.
There is a long association of man and trees, dependent on each other, striking a balance in the
eco system. Both human beings and trees have been bound by a bond of association since ancient
times. It is but common knowledge that the carbon di oxide released by men are used by trees
while the oxygen released by trees are used by men.
Atman, the world soul, is the whole world. God is in all things, and all things are in God. In
ancient philosophical schools the following concepts have been included.
The earth can be seen as a manifestation of the goddess, and must be treated with respect.
The five elements Air (Vayu), Fire (Agni), Water (Jal), Space (Vyom) and Earth (Prithvi) are the
foundation of an interconnected web of life.

In what was seemingly the perfect end to a perfect sports tournament, Leo Messi put his home
country of Argentina on his back and led them to the final against a perennial football juggernaut in
Germany. With the game tied 1 1 throughout the second half, Mario Gotze (Germany) put in the go

moments, as Messi took his steps forward to take the shot, the world and time itself seemed to
stop. He pushed it. Just above the left side of the goal. With that, Germany drained the last few
minutes off the clock, and hoisted the beautiful World Cup trophy. For Messi, who was reaching
a juncture in his career where experts thought he might retire from international football, there
was nothing but question marks and missed opportunities. That match concluded what was a
terrific World Cup. The United States of America had shown out for their fans, Messi had made
a final (with a chance to win), the original favorite, Brazil, was eviscerated by Germany, and
those Germans closed out one of the most dominant World Cup runs in recent memory. With a

that even though they didn t live it or see it, it s still apart of them. Their cultures might be
different based on where they grew up but in the end, this is also apart of their culture.
The frame story that the grandmother tells is, in fact, her own life story, her identity, transformed
in a way the girls can be fascinated and entertained by. The identity of the main character is empty
so much so that the granddaughters tried to imagine Wen Zhiqing daughter. What did she look

grandmother did this purposely, not to let the girls try to figure out it was her, but for them to focus
more on the story than the person. In American culture, the mother s maiden name is something that
is remembered. In Chinese culture, the father s full name has that much importance and even more.

32. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Parliamentary And...
INTRODUCTION
Democratic government can be parliamentary or presidential. The difference between these two
forms of governments depends upon the relationship between the executive and legislative organs
of the government. If the executive and legislature are unified and controlled under the control of
same persons, so that there is assurance of harmony between these two branches and also the
executive is responsible to the legislative body for his policies and actions, such a system is
parliamentary . If the executive and legislature are separate and the executive is not responsible to
the legislature, it is called presidential form of government.

In this way, it is ensured that the government is, at all times, conscious of fulfilling its
responsibilities and promises regarding general welfare of the public without fail because failure
to do so will affect the electoral prospects of the government in the next elections. There is
flexibility in the parliamentary system as it is highly adaptive to changing situations. For instance,
if there is situation of emergency the leadership could be changed without any kind of hassle. As
in England it happened during World War II when Mr. Chamberlain had step down for Mr.
Winston Churchil to handle the war. Moreover, the elections can be deferred till normalcy is
restored. Such flexibility can only be seen in the parliamentary system whereas there is no
flexibility in the Presidential system which is a highly rigid system.

The SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) and WIC (Women, Infants, Children)
programs both have similar jobs. Both programs attempt to help feed struggling families. In the
past SNAP allowed members to purchase food staples and prepackaged food, but a recent bill is
being made in order to address these rules. These changes will deactivate members abilities to
purchase prepackaged food, and has limited them to purchase only food staples. These food
staples included foods such as rice, bread, fruits, etc. While the desired new rules for SNAP are
similar to the current rules of WIC, the bill will also attempt to allow members of WIC to purchase
white potatoes in addition to their food staples. Multiple commodities economic standing will
experience larger impacts on supply and demandfrom this proposed bill s changes and
implications. As SNAP shifts to strictly staple foods, the economic impacts will implement
changes on the supply and demand of rice. In the short run the price of rice will rise and the
demand curve of rice will shift outward. This effect will take place because of SNAP s proposed
limitations. If the members of SNAP are limited to only food staples they will find themselves
demanding more rice than before. This shift will cause an upward movement along the supply
curve. There will be an increase in the quantity of rice supplied in the long run because the demand
will have grown from the limitations placed on SNAP consumers that suppliers will have

35. Analysis Of William Ernest Henley s Invictus
Can an individual s experience of and response to discovery catalyse their metamorphosis?
Discoveries can reaffirm, transform and challenge preconceptions and assumptions about human
nature, bringing about renewed perceptions that affect individuals and society. Through various
poetic techniques, William Ernest Henley s Invictus explores the three dimensional nature of
discovery, accentuating a successive revelatory self discovery as the persona overcomes seemingly
insurmountable adversities. We see the persona s internal transformation being reflective of Henley
s early contraction of tuberculosis, necessitating a leg amputationwhen he was 25. Trialling a
revolutionary antiseptic saved Henley s other leg from amputation. Today, I will be speaking about
the spiritual and emotional unearthing of inner strength, resilience and empowerment manifested in
the lyrical quatrains of Invictus , amplifying discoveries as being intensely meaningful and
transformative.
An unexpectedly adverse environment can stimulate the evolution of an individual s perspective,
precipitating an emotional paradigm shift. The hyperbolic simile and infernal allusion with Black
as the Pit from pole to pole illustrates the magnitude of the persona s indefinite suffering,
foreshadowing death and a bleak perspective on life with a melancholic atmosphere. We see the
personification in night that covers me , where night is metaphorical for the persona s suffering,
demonstrate the arduousness in surmounting unpredictable challenges, reinforcing the persona s
misfortune and its ramifications are perpetual. However, the plosive consonants with the alliterated
b , emphasising the bludgeoning, and metaphor in Under the bludgeonings of chance/My head is
bloody, but unbowed conveys you, me and the persona as prisoners of probability being bombarded
with challenges, highlighting the capricious difficulties and detriments affecting the individual.
Moreover, the visual imagery and caesura in My head is bloody, but unbowed suggests the
physically scarred persona will not submissively bow defeated, but will endure the bludgeoning,
accentuating the persona s emerging inner strength. It is clear to us the arousal of inner strength
contrasts

of the school year, Mrs. Rice is indeed fired, but Anne does not know why, and she does not see

movement, as she learned that there were things she could do to try to change the way things

38. The Lewis And Clark Trail
In 1803, U.S. President Thomas Jefferson commissioned an expedition under the leadership of
Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to explore the American Northwest. Together, they led the
Corps of Discovery, which included men from a myriad of professions, including interpreters,
fur trappers, boat builders, gunsmiths, and surveyors. Meriwether Lewis, captain of the
expedition, had been trained prior to the expedition by the country best scientists in the fields of
botany, zoology, celestial navigation, and medicine. William Clark was elected commander in
chief because of his invaluable cartography skills, which were essential on trip. His skills helped
with mapping most of landmarks and rivers that were encountered on the expedition, and his final
map of the Lewis and Clark Trail is accurate within 40 miles and spans a distance of 8,000 miles.
Another prominent figure on the expedition was Sacagawea. She spoke Shoshone, Hidatsa, meager
French, had knowledge of edible medicinal plants as well as Native American customs, and was an
invaluable interpreter that bargained for resources from other Native American tribes. Her most
important contribution to expedition, however, was her presence, a symbol to native tribes of the
peacefulness of the traveling party. The expedition was launched for political, strategic, scientific,
and commercial aims, instead of seeking riches and Christian converts, as other expeditions in the
past have always vied, such as those commissioned by the

These places therefore are no longer mine but theirs. Not that I m barred, any more than they

cabarets to see how Negroes acted; now Negroes go to these same cabarets to see how white people

with the Harlem Renaissance, whose fiction credibly illustrated black urban life, particularly in
Harlem. In his first novel, Walls of Jericho, Fisher humorously and satirically presented a hopeful
vision that African Americanmen could get ahead in the urban north if they united to overcome
distrust bred by spans of oppression. World War I shaped a transformation for African Americans
from the old to the new , also known during that time period as The New Negro Movement.
Thousands relocated from the rural South to the industrial North, following a vision of social and
economic opportunity. This movement of the 1920s promoted a rehabilitated sense of racial pride,
cultural self expression, economic independence, and progressive politics. Described within

Businesses using this form to retrieve data will be able to harness the power of all data, no
matter how many disparate data sources they have. Self service extends to data prep Self service
data discovery has become the standard, while data prep has remained in the realm of IT and
data experts. According to Paige Schaefer, statistics reflect that self service will extend to data
prep in 2017. Again, common data prep tasks like JSON and HTML imports, data parsing, and
data wrangling will no longer be delegated to data specialists. With new innovations in this
transforming space, it is expected that everyone will be able to tackle these tasks as part of their
analytics flow. Analytics are everywhere, thanks to embedded BI It is said that analytics works
best when it s a natural part of people s workflow. In 2017, analytics will be embedded into
applications people use every day, be it Salesforce or internal portals. This seamless integration
will drive visibility and action on these analytics, often by people who ve never explored data,
like store clerks, call center workers, and truck drivers. IT becomes the data hero IT is now
breaking the monotonous cycle and evolving from producer to enabler. IT is at the rudder of the
transformation to self service analytics at scale. IT is providing the pliability and agility the

42. Comparing Millet And Homer s Paintings
Both artworks Man with a Hoe 1860 1862, and The cotton pickers 1876 have subjects in the
people and occupations of everyday world. Millet and Homer s most of the works are related with
agriculture and life of poor and middle class people. The reason I choose these artworks because
they are related with occupations of everyday life. Also they are related with realism. Bad time
comes on everybody, and both artists have been involved in the controversy about their art works.
Jean François Milletwas accused of being a political trouble maker artist. His painting like Man
with a Hoe caused a controversy in the 1860s. The standing man s expressions in the picture were
translated as a communist protest. There was some negative reviews on some of the images in
Winslow Homers paintings were shown... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are some parts in the artworks that are related with each other. For example, there are bright
and hue colours in the artworks, and the artists used primary colours in them. There are no uses of
shadows in the cotton picker s artwork. The use of plants in the paintings makes them relates with
nature and free form style art. Millet man with a hoe was made with a pen and brushes. The
texture of these pieces is rough because the artists used hue colours. The use of colours in the
artworks affects the quality of the art because if Homer only used the dark black colour in the
cotton pickers, then viewer cannot recognize the cotton plant in the painting. Both are medium
style paintings made with oil on canvas. The culture is different in the paintings. The cotton picker
is related with American culture and the man with a hoe is related with French culture. The main
reason they are connected with each other because it shows the hard working images of peoples
inside them. It does not matter what culture they are belong to. They are made in late 1800s during
war time, and that is the reason they got involved in

them to consider quitting.

44. Compare And Contrast Judaism And Monotheism
Pharisees: spiritual grandparents of rabbinic Judaism. They believed that God controlled all things,
yet decisions made by individuals also contributed to the course of a person s life. Also, they
believed in the resurrection and the award/punishment in the afterlife notion.
Reform Judaism: the more liberal, progressive, modern thinking sect of Jews. The reformers began
by reforming the prayer service to bring it into line with Western sensibilities. They also began to
reexamine the underpinnings of Judaism, the meaning of the Torah, reward and punishment of the
afterlife, the meaning end of time, and the role of Jews in the integrated world. Reform Judaism
wants to more tolerant of non Jewish religions as well.
Monotheism: this means the belief that there is only one God. Monotheism is present within all
three Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam). Monotheism should be a source of
unity for all three of the Abrahamic religions. It should provide an opportunity to unite among all

45. The Electoral College Vs. Electoral College
Popular vote Vs. Electoral College
My initial feelings about the electoral college vs popular vote is that we need to switch over the
the popular vote. There are many benefits, I believe, that could help make everyone s votes matter.
With the popular vote it will not matter if you live in a state that vote one side consistently, your
vote will matter. I believe that switching the Electoral college to a popular vote would be beneficial
to the United States and our citizens. According to the National Forensic League, a popular vote
would give equal representation to all states and regions. As the voting is now states that vote one
way consistently would be overlooked by candidates and taken for granted. Although the Electoral
college states that they give equal balance to each state there is more attention on the swing states.
Having a popular vote would change the favoritism to the swing states, and create equality
throughout the United states. A popular vote would also make sure that each voter s vote would
matter to the election. The way the system sits now, if you are a democratic living in a commonly
known Republican State, your vote would be over looked and would matter. Citizens knowing this
then give up on voting knowing that it wouldn t matter in an electoral vote. With the switch to
popular vote, the citizens would have the final say in the Presidential election ensuring a nation by
and for the people. The reason why the Electoral vote was created was because

Introduction
This situation analysis is based on the Landscapes r us business. In this report we will cover the
following, assessment of the uncontrollable environment (PESTL forces), a SWOT analysis, the
target market and a customer and client analysis,
Uncontrollable environment, PESTL
Political forces
Landscapes r us, are faced by several political forces that may influence the amount of work and
the way business will operate. There is a trend of new suburbs being divided into smaller blocks
then older suburbs. In the 1950 s the average block size was 810sqm 910 sq m, and block
divided in 2012 average between 200 350 sq m (MacroBusiness, 2014)(Hall, 2011). Therefore,
each successful tender in new suburbs isn t as profitable as before, because there is less work
required on each block. Because there are a greater number of blocks it creates a large number of
opportunities to win quotes. When there are more quotes in an area it will attract more businesses
competition.
Economic forces
The announcement of the current federal budget by the Abbot government is driving the message
of cutting Australia s debt. There are threats of lots of job cuts especially in Canberra where the
Public service is a major employer with n unemployment rate of 6.4% (Rba.gov.au, 2014). In turn

Abstract
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a noninvasive medical test that physicians use to diagnose
and treat medical conditions. MRI uses a powerful magnetic field, radio frequency pulses and a
computer to produce detailed pictures of organs, soft tissues, bone and virtually all other internal
body structures.
I. Introduction
The MRI technique stems from Nikola Tesla s discovery of rotating magnetic fields, in 1882.
However, Tesla s discovery isn t the sole building block of MRI technology, in 1937 Isidor Rabi,
of Columbia University, discovered nuclear magnetic resonance. This discover showed that an
atom s nucleus will absorb and emit radio waves if they are exposed to strong enough magnetic
fields. The first MRI image was developed on July 3rd, 1977 by Dr. Raymond Damadian in New
York. Nowadays the world s most powerful MRI scanner is located at the Magnet Academy and
produces a magnetic field of 21.1 Tesla, at a frequency of 900 megahertz.
At the present time, the human population is chronically exposed to natural and man made sources
of ionizing and non ionizing radiations, the latter being, for instance, electric and magnetic fields
(EMF). Important sources of man made

49. Essay The Crucible
Fear can lead to a lot of things, but unfortunately, in humans it usually leads to something bad.
Throughout history, fear has lead to some of the most violent actions by man, and some of the
biggest collapses of organized society. In early American history, the people of Salem experienced
this for themselves. Arthur Miller shows this in his book. The society of Salem that Miller creates
in The Crucible shows how fearcan slowly cause rational thoughtto deteriorate, leading to mass
hysteriaand eventually the breakdown of civilized behavior. During Act I, Miller shows how each
Salem s citizens begin to realize this fear they have, and how it is slowly starting to take over their
minds. This new idea that witchcraft exists in their... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once the people of Salem fully realize their fear, Miller shows how they try to justify this fear,
but that they are in fact becoming more and more hysterical. They now try to find a justification
for thoughts and their fear of evil. They need some solid proof to back up these accusations that
they make, and they need to clear their own names as well. So, they arbitrarily start claiming that
[they] saw...with the Devil , and that [they] saw...with the Devil (45). These unjustified
explanations for their fears just shows how truly corrupted their minds become. They start
naming their own friends, neighbors, and even their own family in order to clear themselves and
more importantly to try to prove that this witchery is really upon them, and to prove that they are
not just crazy. What it really does is show how hysteria is setting in, and how they have actually
accepted these lies as the truth. While questioning each other on the matter, their breakdown can
really be seen through their quick, almost sputtering manner of speaking: Hale: Did you call the
Devil last night? Abigail: I never called him! Parris: She called the Devil? Abigail: I didn t see no
Devil! Hale: You cannot evade me...(40)
This pace at which they speak proves how they have no real justification, only that they can accuse
someone and use that as proof. They speak in little fragments that can barely be considered
