since it needs lots of research about the victim before the actual attack is carried out. In a typical

Even though this attack is very effective, it has its own weakness of the users becoming suspicious of
unsolicited requests.
Reverse Social Engineering (RSE) [sw3]: This is a form of attack that overcomes the weakness of the
pre texting attack mentioned above. Here the attacker presents himself as a high level authority so as
to influence the victim to establish the contact and ask more questions instead of the attacker initiating
the request. This is also termed as Quid pro quo in which the intruder provides some incentive that
prompts the victim to reveal information which would not be disclosed otherwise. Reverse Social
Engineering can be classified using their characteristics. i) Targeted/Untargeted: In case of a targeted
attack, the attacker knows some predefined information about the victim and targets that particular
user to extract information from him. In an untargeted attack, random set of users are targeted with a
particular motive. ii) Direct/Mediated: In a direct attack, the intruder posts a message or any
information directly on a public forum to bait the users into revealing information. In a mediated
attack, baiting is carried out as a two step process involving an intermediate agent whose job is to
propagate the bait to the targeted set of users.
Based on the characteristics three different RSE attacks are possible.

Ray was majorly inspired by Nat King Cole, but his music was also influenced by country, jazz, blues,
and rhythm artists of the day, including Louis Jordan and Charles Brown. In the start of Ray s musical

an appealing ad for a specific target audience. Namely, it targets a consumer base that already uses
Samsung products. This is obvious by the product advertised in the ad; rather than presenting the
general Samsung brand in a persuasive manner, it focuses on a specific product that accessorizes the
Samsung phone and therefore can only be used by existing customers. In the ad, three distinct
persuasive features specifically, selfl congruity (or source similarity), appeal to positive emotion, and
source likeability are implemented in a way that, though ineffective in attracting new customers, is
effective in the purpose of reinforcing the brand image and product usefulness for existing customers.
One typically effective persuasive feature is that when the source is similar to the audience; this source
feature is also known as self congruity. Self congruity is described by Basfirinci as the match between

demonstrates how a high amount of self congruity in an advertisement will increase its effectiveness

Children today are affected by a number of developmental and behavioral disorders. One that has
become very common over the years is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or ADHD. This
disorder is diagnosed to individuals who cannot focus well and have apparent restless behavior. Those
who are diagnosed with this disorder seem to be young or adolescent, and the numbers are continuing
to increase. Due to the increase in numbers, many alarmed parents are quick to jump to giving their
kids medication. This method is quite controversial and has some advantages and disadvantages to it.
Some believe that today s physicians will over diagnose children with ADHD, leading to normal kids
receiving unneeded prescriptions of powerful stimulants. However, there is still a large need of
medication for children who are truly suffering from this mental disorder. When one is properly
diagnosed with ADHD, there are many advantages to treating with medication. ADHD was first
discussed in 1902 by British pediatrician Sir George Still. He described it as an abnormal defect of
moral control in children. He discovered that the children with ADHD had a harder time controlling

interpretations. Through implementation of the metaphor, made at the beginning of the poem, between
a person s descent into insanity and a funeral, we can look at the use of world in two different ways. In
one sense, world is referring to ones state of mental stability and the change from the state of sanity to
insanity. In another sense world is referring to leaving the realm of human existence on earth and
arriving at the afterlife. The worlds that the afterlife inhabits, Heaven and Hell, are both referenced;
Heaven being mention in line 13 and Hell being referenced by the use of the words dropped in

in a form more vulgar and sexually explicit than the original in an effort to boost movie attendance.
After all, sex and violence sell. However, from the mid 1930 s to the 1950 s, Hollywood ization
referred to the opposite case where controversial books had to be purified to abide by the Production

A particularly strong theme that runs through the entire novel is the unusual power that women play
over the men in their lives. Rather than simply being passive to the impulses of men, Mildred takes
charge of her life and decides which men she will be with and leaves those that she no longer has an
affection for. Cain dives into more controversial territory by having Mildred use men for her own
sexual satisfaction. Cain also moves women into the role of successful breadwinners during a time
where men generally held financial power further blurring traditional roles of gender.
However, Mildred does not completely free herself of all familial responsibilities as she is still held
captive through her obsession with her daughter Veda. As with many housewives, her sense of self
identity is drawn from her role as a mother and she caters to the desires of her daughter to the point
that they are almost self destructive. It is Veda s extravagant tastes that drive her mother to work hard
and draws resources away from her business ultimately resulting in its collapse. Moreover, Mildred
must deal with the lack of gratitude and outright contempt that she receives from her own daughter for
working in a blue collar job.

Throughout this course, I have learned new information and refreshed myself on old information. I
was also able to connect old information with caring for individuals going through palliative or end of
life care. Being a palliative care nurse can be a busy and stressful job. The nurse needs to be fully
educated on many different areas to be able to provide the best possible care for the patients and their
families. A few of the topics that we discussed were the role of the palliative care nurse, cultural
competency, pain control of those in palliative care, communication strategies, and legal and ethical
issues that may occur during the end of one s life.

Nurses of all areas have many different roles and responsibilities. As a palliative care nurse, their roles
can include being a consultant, educator, role model, and mentor (Matzo Sherman, 2015, p. 13). In the

Each year in Southern California, the fall is marked by the arrival of the Santa Ana. These winds are
described in two different texts, Brush Fires by Linda Thomas and The Santa Ana by Joan Didion.
Both pieces address the relationship between the wind and the community, using rhetorical devices to
convey their views. Thomas presents a wind that is essential to nature. Didion, on the other hand, sees
the wind as a characteristic Los Angeles, that can sometimes be detrimental. The writers also have
contrasting experiences with the fires causes which cause drastic differences in tone, portrayal of the
