Much Ado About Nothing Deception
In the works Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare and A Doll s House by Henrik Ibsen,
the main characters are deceived within the reliable relationships they created in society. Such
deception occurs when Claudio s trust in his friends and family interferes with his marriage to Hero.
Similarly, when Nora deceives Torvald by hiding the truth and putting too much trust in her friends.
These two events symbolize the similarities of the works and represent a connection of mistrust. The
connection between the characters within the two plays demonstrates the tragedies that occur
throughout the plot of the story. The concept of deception connects the roles of the main characters as
they face consequences as represented in both works by creating relationships and trust within their
societies. Deception plays a critical role between Nora and Torvald s society in A Doll s House. As
these two characters evolve within the work, trust starts to fade and mistrust starts to appear as seen
when Torvald says, Hasn t Miss ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While the plot forms in the play, the characters do as well. This is present as shown Can the world buy
such a jewel (1.1.175)? The behavior and feelings of Claudio start to form in this part of the play as
trust in Hero creates his love. Claudio also starts to put trust in his friends to protect and support his
decisions but that only creates more tension towards the middle and end of the play. Claudio s trust in
his friends backfires during Claudio s wedding, O Hero! What a Hero hadst thou been. If half thy
outward graces had been placed About thy thoughts counsels of thy heart (4.1.108 110)? Claudio is
not only in reality deceived by his friends, but thinks he Hero is deceiving him. The idea of trust is
present when Torvald states his thoughts about what Hero has done and creates tension between their
relationships. Both works share a common theme leading with

One Month Compounded Release Analysis
One formulation approach that could be used in order to develop a one month sustained release
formulation of compound 5 as a microbicide would be using intravaginal rings. Intravaginal rings are
flexible and torus shaped devices that are placed in the vagina (adjacent to the cervix). A concentration
gradient is formed when the device comes into contact with the vaginal lumen and hence the drug is
released. The rings are usually made up of silicone or ethylene vinyl acetate.
The efficacy is maximized at lower doses and the side effects are less. The ring contains the drug
spread throughout the entire matrix. The rate of release of the drug depends on:
i. The solubility of the drug in the polymer ii. The surface area of the ring iii. The capability ... Show

Pharmacokinetic analysis suggests that the orally administered nanoemulsions had a higher rate of
absorption and the concentration of the drug in the brain and plasma was the highest. Formulation:
The drug nanoemulsion was prepared by adding 50% of the drug solution (with dehydrated ethanol) to
one ml of safflower oil and it was stirred for the oil drug mixture to distribute homogenously and for
all the ethanol to evaporate. Deionized distilled water (contains egg phosphatidylcholine) and
deoxycholic acid.(40mg) make up the aqueous phase. Both the phases are heated at 70oc separately.
The oil phase was slowly added to the aqueous phase and stirred well. The mixture was then sonicated

filtered and stored at 4oc.Preparation of aqueous suspension was made using 3H Labeled drug and
unlabeled drug in ethanol along with Deionized distilled water (contains egg phosphatidylcholine) and

Professional Development of Nursing Professionals
Professional Development of Nursing Professionals
The recommendations presented in the 2010 IOM report entitled Transforming Practice, Transforming
Education, and Transforming Leadership depicts how all the diverse groups in the health care arena
can work together to help make sure that the health care system offers transparent, affordable, quality
care that is available to all and leads to enhanced health. The three areas in which the report paid
particular attention were transforming practice, transforming education and transforming leadership.
Transforming Practice The future of health care demands that health professionals construct a system
that is more patient centered than it is today. Nurses have the opportunity to have a central role in
transforming the health care system in order to generate a more accessible, high quality, and value
driven atmosphere for patients. The need for this change in focus has become predominantly urgent in
respect to chronic conditions; primary care, including care coordination and transitional care;
prevention and wellness; and the prevention of adverse events, such as hospital acquired infections.
Given the aging population, moreover, the need for long term and palliative care will also continue to
grow in the coming years (Transforming Practice, Transforming Education, and Transforming
Leadership, 2010). Due to the existing concerns about a shortage of primary care health professionals
in the future, nurses are being looked

The Dystopia For The Modern Society In John Rand s Anthem
Imagine a society that is so strict that even a simple rule break can result in a severe punishment. In
Anthem, this is just everyday life for the society that Equality 7 2521 lives in. The society that was
created in Anthem was an attempt to make a utopia but instead ended up in a dystopia. In this society,
people are assigned their jobs and are forced to take that job that was assigned to them. The
government controls everything and has taken many steps to eliminate all freedom from the society.
Much knowledge from modern day society has been erased in Anthem and has been replaced with
false facts that all of their citizens believe. We learned that the earth is flat and the sun revolves around
it, which causes the day and night. (Rand 23). Once Equality 7 2521 has broken out of the society, he
discovers a place in the mountains away from the old society. He lives their with International 4 8818
or the nickname that Equality 7 2521 dubbed her, The Golden One. While living in the glass house on
the mountain, Equality discovers freedom and starts using the forbidden word from the old society, I .
Equality 7 2521 will abandon all the rules from his old society because of technology, ego, and last
but not least, freedom. In anthem, the society designates people to create inventions that help the
society with advancements. These advancements have not been made due to the lack of accurate facts
that the society has forgotten. Even with these setbacks some inventions have

The Problem Of New Mexico
The Problem in New Mexico Since 1994, New Mexico City had seen a drastic increase in their crime
rates after the three strikes law was enacted in the state. The drastic increase in crime rate after the
three strikes law was passed is one of the few reasons why New Mexico city to be known as a second
hazardous nation in the United States. In New Mexico, the three strikes law is mainly only enforced
for five specific strikes where the city police and court will be able to take an action against those
repeat criminals for their crimes. Five specific strikes where the court or police can take action are
Kidnapping, shooting, criminal sexual penetration, murder, and armed robbery. However, if there were
more crimes were added to the New Mexico strikes then there would have been so many less crimes
that would have taken place on the streets. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Prisoners in
2013 by E. Ann Carson, Ph.D., BJS Statistician shows that in Table 1 prisoners under the jurisdiction
of state or federal correctional authorities by sex, December 31, 2012 and 2013, in New Mexico there
were about 6,727 people who were arrested for committing serious crimes where there 6,096 male,
and 631 female in 2012. Moreover, in 2013, in New Mexico there were about 6,849 prisoners who
were arrested for committing crimes where there were 6,195 male and 654 female. This statistics

Examples Of Imperial Discourse In A Passage To India
On the other hand, imperial discourse hinders the development of the self image of the colonized.
Obviously, colonial discourse determines the goal of the colonized. In this connection, it may be
mentioned that after the trial Aziz tries to raise his voice against the colonizers. Though after being
acquitted of the charge of Adela he was furious with her, ultimately he could not take any effective
action except hating her. But he cannot proceed with his determination. He cannot escape the profound
influence of the world of the colonizers. In this connection Peter Morey has said: Imperial discourse

position of women within society. During Jason s quest Medea aided him due to Aphrodite causing

Secondhand Smoking Should Be Illegal
In our generation smoking still exists even though there are some people who quit smoking and there
are some still smoke in ages, however the only problem in our society, people who smoke around
youngsters called as well as secondhand smoking is a detective around children and adults. It is
important that secondhand smoke shouldn t be smoking around their own children or underage due to
health. Secondhand smoking, tobacco smoke is exhaled by a second smoker or is given off by burning
tobacco and also is inhaled by someone nearby which it s called passive Smoke. It occurs when

There are millions of children breathing smoke in their home with second hand smoke and second
hand smokers don t realize that their children are especially at more risk to their health than they are.
Smoking in vehicles with under age of 18 should ban the law and children whose parents smoke
around should also be illegal because in a small enclosed space such as a vehicle with a sunroof has
more toxic air which expose breathing more rapidly. According to the author Leada Grove, created an
article from AL.com wrote that 80 percent of smoke is invisivble and opening windows does not
remove its harmful effects. The level of toxic air in a vehicle where someone is smoking is up to 10
times worse than levels that is considered hazardous . Approximately 250,000 children and adults (non
smokers) have died from health problems that exposed to secondhand smoke. Some states in the U.S.
had established the secondhand smoke law that is illegal, however other states are still under
construction to establish this law. All states should make this law a new law for all second hand
smokers because as of right now our country have gained a major health issue and money wise for the
government.

In 1995 the company went public, trading its stock on NASDAQ under the symbol DLTR, growing
into a large, highly profitable retail company. In 1997 Dollar Tree opened its first distribution center
and new store support center, both located in Chesapeake, Virginia.
Keys for Expansion Unlike many of its competitors, by maintaining the one dollar price tag on all of
the items in its shelves, gave Dollar Tree a tremendous advantage in costumers minds helping it to
grow the size and number of its stores. In order to for the company to expand, some changes had to be
made. Rather than continuing to sell only closeout merchandise, the founders decided for their stores
to be the equivalent of traditional variety stores, which had a large selection of basic goods priced at
one dollar or less. In order for that to work they had to change the way they purchased their
merchandise, which consisted on deals and novelties. They began buying directly from foreign
manufacturers and manufacturers in the United States. Another change that was necessary and very
important was the location of their stores. Since the beginning, when they were still part of K amp;K
Toys, most of their stores were inside shopping malls. This had to change. They then began
concentrating on opening stores in strip centers where their stores would be anchored to large grocery
stores, or other large merchandisers such as Target, or Wal Mart to undersell. This change not only

Persuasive Essay On Right To Die

The right to die debate has been an ongoing dispute between opposing sides of this controversial topic.
The right to die is the decision made by an individual to die with dignity when they are still capable of
continuing their life with the necessary support and equipment. It is a voluntary decision by an
individual who is regarded as terminally ill to commit suicide with the refusal of any type of life
support that sustains their life. Fatally ill patients who choose to end their own life can do so through
physician prescribed medications.
Brittany Maynard who supports the right to die movement was diagnosed with brain cancer and when
her matter became intolerable and untreatable she took advantage of the death with dignity law that
was passed in Oregon. She made the trip to Oregon where her physician prescribed fatal drugs and
died quietly surrounded by family and friends. Before her death she initiated a campaign regarding
choices by the terminally ill. After the death of Brittany Maynard who became the face of the right to

Prenatal DNA Screening Essay
Family saving DNA screening
With the advancement in technology, prenatal screening has become a very controversial topic,
especially prenatal DNA screening. Opposition arises from religious saying that early diagnosis of
hereditary diseases leads to the increased prevalence of abortion which is definitely against God s will.
However, medical professions suggest that it benefits children and parents in different aspects
including resources, psychology and physical health. First of all, prenatal DNA screening suggests a
way to prevent of further time and money consumption on critically anomalous babies. Through DNA
screening, the fetal genome can be obtained to establish an early diagnosis of hereditary diseases such

the parents can be provided so that it can relieve the stress of taking care of the children. In addition to
the psychological preparation, materially preparations are also allowed. Home modifications can be
done for fulfilling the special needs of the diseased newborns and offering a safe enviornment. Parents
can have enough time for a better finacial planning before delivery so that their quality of life can be
maintained even with an increased expidenture on the newborn.
Prenatal DNA screening gives an earlier acknowledgement to parents preparing for infants although it
is debatable for the consequences it may lead to. Balancing all the pros and cons for this technology, it
should be widely promoted instead. Families who cannot withstand the high pressure and fiancial

Environmental Issues Of The Bottled Water Industry
Water Bottle Waste One of the biggest challenges facing the bottled water industry is how to respond
to the environmental claims levelled against it (Grocer). Every time someone throws a bottle away,
they have taken up more space in a landfill for the next four hundred fifty to one thousand years.
Besides the long decomposition rate, water bottles are the cause of several more environmental issues.
Overfilling landfills, health hazards caused by refilling, and the economic stresses due to the constant
and inconvenient repurchasing are just a few of the negatives water bottles have on us. These plastic
pollutants are doing more harm to both the environment and their users than good. The water bottle
industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the United States. This being said, our landfills are
filled with more than eighty five percent of plastic bottles. Their long lifetime and thoughtless
consumers are not only filing our dumps with these plastic bottles, but hurting our oceans too. Since
water bottles do not biodegrade, they can float aimlessly on the ocean surface for years. They also
may cause a passing predator to be fooled into thinking it is a resting prey. Little did that predator
know, they were going to have a serious stomach ache trying to digest a plastic bottle. It also pollutes
the soil and waterways as well. Besides the space water bottles physically fill, their production waste
is just as dire. In America alone, we use about seventeen

Objectification Is A Word That Has Many Negative Connotations
Objectification is a word that has many negative connotations. Nussbaum identifies objectification as
a pejorative term, connoting a way of speaking, thinking, and acting that the speaker finds morally or
socially objectionable, usually, though not always, in the sexual realm. Nussbaum s definition is
vague, like many of her other works, and places the connotation of the word itself into the speaker s
own hands. While it is good to allow wiggle room for concepts, an act which allows them to be more
universal for the general public as a whole, because of the long standing connotations associated with
objectification, I believe that the word itself already implies something morally or socially
objectionable, and the speaker s own ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I am not trying to make Nussbaum seem like a villain, I completely agree with the overarching subject
of her paper, but claims such as women are depicted as beings made for sexual pleasure, are fruitless
when one realizes that sexual pleasure is extremely different for women and men across the world.
According to Nussbaum, objectification can be used... in a more positive spirit [and] it is not only a
slippery, but also a multiple, concept. While I do not disagree with either of these claims directly, I
believe that in an effort to make her understanding of the concept universal to all, Nussbaum s ideas
regarding objectification come off as somewhat robotic and lack the emotion needed when attempting
to understand those who have been objectified. Her entire seven step system that is used to outline
what is and is not objectification, seems to echo her previous work regarding the ten capabilities,
another approach I found to be too generalized and too deeply engrained in Western culture.
Furthermore, much like Nussbaum s capabilities approach, all of the examples she uses

Whale Rider Film Analysis
In the film Whale Rider , by Niki Caro which follows the journey of a young girl named Paikea
Apirana and her struggle for acceptance as a leader of her Māori iwi, and especially her grandfather.
An important character in this film is Pai herself. This character has significant importance as she is
used to portray numerous important ideas and themes throughout the film. Pai helps me to understand
and appreciate that women can also be leaders that are equal to men if they have the right attributes.
The director Niki Caro uses numerous different film techniques to convey this idea, such as; the
camera shots and camera angles when Pai is giving her speech to Koro, the use of camera angles and
props in relation to the dialogue when Pai if fixing the motorboat engine, and the use of props when
Pai is teaching herself to use the Taiaha. The use of camera shots and camera angles while she is
giving her speech to Koro, helps to show Pai s important attributes which are necessary for a good
leader. One of these shots is the low angle while Pai is giving her speech. Low angles are often used to
give the focus object or person a feeling or respect, even if Pai is crying, which shows that Pai is
respected by the community. As she is crying during this scene, and the director still chooses to use a
low angle, consequently, this shows that she is a strong, powerful, and resilient figure, which are
especially important attributes of a leader.
Additionally, in this scene is a wide shot down the aisle of the hall, with Pai in the middle, and framed
by the audience. Furthermore, this exhibits that the community supports Pai, even at her weakest and
most fragile, while she is in tears on the stage. The support of a community is an important attribute
for a leader to have, due to the importance of leadership is not just being one person, and is also the
whole community. The camera shots and camera angles helped the audience as well as myself to
understand the importance of Pai and helped myself and the audience understand and appreciate Niki
Caro s idea that women can also be leaders that can be equal to men if they have the right attributes

Swot Analysis Of Skullcandy
Shakera Butler
BUA450
Skullcandy Skullcandy was founded in 2003 by Rick Alden in Park City, Utah. The idea came to him
in 2001 when he was riding on a ski lift while listening to music. His phone rang and he had to change
his headphones over to the phone. That s when he told himself he wished there was headphones that
you could use both on a Mp3 player and a cell phone. In 2002, he created his first prototype called
Link, that were a hit. His company grew fast that he started to make headphones to go inside helmets,
MP3 equipped backpacks, and watches. Today you will also find Bluetooth speakers and gaming
headsets.

The main weakness of Skullcandy is that they struggle to maintain grown. At one point of time, there
were so many orders coming in that production could barely keep up. It was also hard for them to
come out with new designs while trying to fix minor glitches in other products, and keep up with
production. Up until a couple of years ago, Skullcandy only had two suppliers; core channels and big
box retailers. They cared about loyalty and reputation to their core channels of specialty shops. With
these stores, there isn t a lot of them so most of their sales came from retailers, and if that fails the
company can too.
Opportunities
Skullcandy can expand their company to across the world. Beats by Dr. Dre is being sold international
through Apple. If Skullcandy explores the new markets and the developing ones, it could exceed the
company. There is a constant demand for headphones every day, they seem to be essential to people s
life. Just like any other headphone company there always wants for new designs and products. Apple s
iPhone is always changing every year, and everybody gets all excited for it. They have changed from
headphone with a cord to wireless headphone pods that you just stick in your ear. With new products
and production comes materials. Materials to produce headphones such as copper have risen in price.
Skullcandy and other companies have the power to negotiate it lower. More cheaper materials, the

Abstract This study investigated the factors that influence leadersÕ reactions to 360° feedback and the

Brett and Atwater (2001) supported this notion to some extent in their study of reactions to 360°
feedback. They found that individuals reacted to negative 360° feedback with anger and
discouragement, though positive feedback did not result in positive affect. The purpose of this study is
to examine the factors that influence leadersÕ reactions to feedback and the relationships between
reactions and subsequent development activities and behavior change. (Note we use the term leader in
this study to refer to an individual holding a supervisory or leadership position). 1.1. Characteristics of
the feedback and reactions to feedback ManagersÕ reactions to feedback may depend not only on the
feedback itself (e.g., whether it is positive or negative), but also on the extent to which the feedback is
discrepant from the managerÕs self view. For example, control theory (Carver Scheier, 1982) and
feedback intervention theory (FIT) (Kluger DeNisi, 1996) suggest that behavior is regulated by
comparisons of feedback to goals or standards. One of the

Behavior Is Most Influenced by the Nurturing of Our Parents
A person s behavior is influenced by the way their parents raised them. Being nurtured by someone at
such a young age, many do not realize how much of an influence their parent was to their
development. People only understand the significance of parenting until they start tending their own
children. Parenting is more important and has a long term effect on children than what most parents
assume. It is vital for parents to realize that every action they conduct is significant in a child s
development and how content and prosperous children become in upcoming years. The most
beneficial approach to nurture children is authoritative parenting style, which has been proven to result

These liberal parents are low on discipline and structure while exerting little control. They do not
make demands about their behavior nor set limits for their children to follow. Parents do not set rules,
expectations, or goals for children. Permissive parents allow children to set their own rules, schedules,
and activities. Parents of this particular parenting style believe children will learn best on their own
and would prefer to be their child s friend, buddy, and confidant than a parent. Though parents do not
set rigid rules like authoritarian parents, they are generally loving, supportive, nurturing, warm, and
accepting. The main concern is to let their child express their creativity, individuality, and happiness
(Sarac 2). Similarly, disengaged parents are rarely home for their children as they are too consumed
with work. Some families struggle financially and become disengaged from children by the sheer
economics of survival working multiple jobs (Vivo 2). There is no time for parents to develop bonds
with their child or to focus on their emotional and social lives because they are too consumed with

Hirsh s Learning Tools
One major concern many professionals have after acquiring the MSLIS degree is their fear of not
keeping up to date with today s culture and new information. Throughout this chapter Hirsh discusses
many ways professionals can grow and develop in their career and knowledge. Many useful learning
tools can be accessed through the internet. The internet provided many resources some being,
webinars, online courses, articles and blogs. Many of these tools are a free option that can be found on
the internet. Although Hirsh metions the use of blogs and articles to gain new skills and ideas I believe
they also do not provide an in depth explaination. The internet is great for quick understandings of
things but not neccessarily in depth ones. This tends

I Know Why There Are Flowers In the Attic
Over the past forty years, there have been banned books that have been created by some of the most
famous authors that we know today including V.C. Andrews and Maya Angelou. One might wonder
why a children s book such as, Winnie the Pooh, could ever be banned? This classic book children all
around the world enjoy, unfortunately can not be enjoyed in the small town of Tuszyn, Poland because
Pooh is half dressed and he does not have a specific gender (Graef). The history of banning books, the
process of banning books, and the reasons for banning Flowers on the Attic and I Know Why the
Caged Bird Sings are all questions some might ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Flowers in the Attic was banned for several reasons; incest between the mother, Corrine and father,
Chris, which is Corrine s half uncle. The sexual intercourse contents between the daughter, Cathy, and
the son, Christopher. Many schools and libraries have banned this book for both those main reasons.
Other reasons were because of the little food provided from the grandmother, Olivia. She also locked
Cathy, Carrie, Cory, and Christopher in the attic. Maybe, maybe even a week, no longer, possibly
much less time I just don t know exactly (Andrews, 41). The mother promised she would come back,
but she left them in the attic for almost four years, and she came sometimes to check on the children,
but she was too caught up in making her dad write her in his will that she no longer cared for her
children. The incest between Corrine and Chris caused lashes on her back from her mother, Olivia. I
stared at the ladder of bloody welts on Momma s back (Andrews, 76). The grandmother is completely
dedicated to the bible and therefore when the grandmother figured out what the mother had done, she
showed the children what she would do if they did the same as their sinful mother. After the children
were petrified of the grandmother, they tried to do all that she requested and obey all her rules. Until
one day Cathy was admiring her body and Christopher who was drawn by Cathy s complexion came
up to her and told her she was

Causes Of Mountaineering Accident
Every year thousands of mountaineering accidents occur. Most of all accidents come from slipping or
falling. The second reasoning for accidents also comes from being unsafe and putting yourself in
danger. Although, most accidents come from climbers themselves , there is still a portion of accidents
that can t be prevented. Mountain climbing can be safe under different circumstances. Mountaineering
accidents are almost all caused from falling or slipping. Almost half to be exact. In source number two

People(climbers) push themselves too far because they think they are worthy of more ; are really not.
Climbers also need to be more cautious and safe no matter what. Climbers need to make sure they
have all of the appropriate equipment for what they are climbing , so that they miss dangerous
incidents. Almost all accidents come from being unsafe, arrogant ; unprepared , Although that is true
there is also many accidents that are unpredictable. These accidents are related as other or non
preventable. In source number two, Accidents in North American Mountaineering , explains that
almost 15% of accidents come from weather, and falling objects: 7.0% of accidents come from falling
rock, ice, or other objects. The data also shows that 7.9% of accidents comes from the weather.
Accidents that come from these reasonings are unpredictable and is unknown on how safe the climb

The Impactages And Disadvantages Of E-Books
A new generation of book which has arrived in this modern era is called electronic book or e books.
An electronic book is a printed book published in digital form that can be viewed by means of
computers, specific gadgets called e reader, and electronic devices such as tablets and smart phones.
We can download e books through the internet for free so it is easy for people to access e books. E
books usually take the form of PDF (Portable Document Format) because PDF is like a printed
document only that it is in an electronic file. In this way, people can read on screens easily or print it
out if they want. Education always relates to books, so e books will have a big impact on education.
The rising of this technology gives a new opportunity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
E books have some problems since they are electronic data, to open it we must have electronic devices
that are able to open e books and it requires a lot of money. Because of that, many students cannot
open e books because they do not have electronic devices to open e books, only those students who
are able to buy it can. Electronic devices need power sources too, so if they run out of power we
cannot open the e books, while text books do not need power sources so we can open it without
worrying about power sources. In other words, unlimited power sources. E books are also bad for
eyes, because we read the e books on a screen; we know it is not good to look at the screen too long; it
will make our eyes tired and damage the eyes, so students should not read e books for hours. Printed
books do not always available in electronic format; then students cannot just have e books. Printed
books are still needed for students. E books have weird price; a lot of e books price is exactly the same
as the printed books. This does not make sense; publishers do not print it, it costs almost nothing to
transport it to schools or stores, and it can be sent immediately after it is published even when we are
far away from the publishers, they just upload it in the

Research Paper
The die is now cast. The colonies must either submit or triumph. ~King George III The Tea Act,
sometimes known as the Boston Tea Party, has a lot to say about tea. It is referred to by John Adams
as the Destruction of the Tea in Boston. The night, December thirteen seventeen seventy three.
Colonists disguised themselves as Mohawk Indians. Seventeen Million Pounds of unsold tea was
dumped mid day. With the colonists throwing over the tea off the ships, King George decided to
punish the Bostonians.
The Colonists were sick of the high prices of the tea coming from Britain. Before the Tea Act, the

The next day some of the participants returned to Griffin s Wharf and, seeing some of the tea still
floating on top of the water, they approached it in small boats and destroyed what remained by hitting
it with their oars (History). The ninety two thousand pounds of tea dumped into the harbor caused it to
smell. Because of the Boston Tea Party, the British shut down Boston Harbor until all of the three
hundred forty chests of British East India Company tea were paid for. This was implemented under the
seventeen seventy four, the Intolerable Acts and known as the Boston Port Act. The Boston Port Act,
the Intolerable Acts also implemented the Massachusetts Government Act, the Administration of
Justice Act, the Quartering Act, and the Quebec Act. Colonists responded with protests and
coordinated resistance by convening the First Continental Congress in September and October of 1774
to petition Britain to repeal the Intolerable Acts. The Boston Tea Party was the first significant act of
defiance by American colonists (After the Tea Act). The Boston Tea Party was enormous, ultimately
leading to the American Revolution which began in Massachusetts on April nineteenth, seventeen

Claims Act and it s Qui Tam provisions. The False Claims Act is a fairly old Act, dating back to 1863.
The Act was first enacted to fight procurement fraud but in recent years the focus has turned to health
care fraud. This thesis will seek to determine whether or not the False Claims Act and it s Qui Tam
provisions are an effective tool in fighting fraud, in particular health care fraud. The focus of this
thesis will be to evaluate the False Claims Act (FCA) and in particular its Qui Tam provisions. A
closer look will be taken at the emergence of a very lucrative type of fraud in the United States. This

Business Strategy And Look At The Progress Of Achieving...
I would review our corporate strategy and look at the progress of achieving our objectives. I would
assign a team to analyze our current processes and evaluate them in order to discover areas that are
doing well and areas that require improvement. We could then decide how to solve these problems
while also continuing to reach our objectives. I would employ constraint management and the theory
of constraints in order to identify factors that are limiting our systems performance and are restricting
output. The theory of constraints would be utilized to increase our profits by improving and speeding
up workflow. A team would be assembled to manage constraints and adjust the processes to be less
constrained with shorter setup times. The Drum buffer rope system can help regulate and control flow
so production does not get backed up and the manufacture of our soup and cracker products can run
more efficiently. Since we are adding new soups, we need to make product mix decisions such as how
many cans of each soup should be produced at any given time. The contribution margin, or the amount
each product contributes to profits and overhead, is important to making product mix decisions. The
cash cow products should be favored and run more often in order to increase profits. Rebalancing the
assembly line is necessary because we have a new product, chicken noodle soup, so we need to plan
our schedules to include this new product and its setup times, cost, number sold and

When I Went To Walmart
I went home the weekend of October 8 and 9th. On Sunday October 9th my mom and I went to
Walmart. I was hoping that she would buy me tea so I did not have to buy it myself. However, the
Walmart in Wadsworth, Ohio, my home town, was completely out of 12 packs of Lipton Citrus Green
Iced Tea. There was no kiosk for them and there were none of that flavor in the aisle. At this Walmart,
where they should have been was surrounded by other types of Lipton, Pure Life, and Snapple teas.
On Monday October 10th, I went to Walmart in Ashland because I failed to purchase tea in
Wadsworth. They had it, but were also surprisingly low stocked. My theory is this product is a star in
the summer time, but in the fall and winter months it is more of a cash cow.

Scottish Archaeology Essay
Scotland has an abundance of archaeology all throughout the country and all within different parts of
prehistory. Scottish archaeology has a big impact on both the rest of the UK and on the rest of Europe.
Although during the beginning of the 20th century, archaeology was seen as nothing more than labour,
with the help of the two great men which held the Abercromby chair both with their own contributions
to Scottish archaeology as a whole it soon rocketed into the discipline what we see today.
It s important to note that during the beginnings of the 20th century, Scotland s archaeology wasn t as

overcome this was by putting a chair in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As he believed that archaeology should become a science and the first step to do this was to establish a
systematic and significant classification for its materials (Patterson and Orser, 2004:25). However he
didn t just classify these objects, he was able to think about how everything was connected, it s
explained that he was no longer content with merely describing and classifying the objects he
uncovered; he must ascertain how they were made and whence the materials for their manufacture
came (Ibid, 36). He managed to link what he had found and connected it not only with the other
artefacts that he had found but also the rest of the landscape, by simply linking everything together he
had managed to gain a bigger picture of Scotland, he also managed to connect the prehistory of
Scotland to the prehistory of Europe by comparing artefacts and seeing the relationships between the
two (Sherrat, 1989:151). An effective way that he could show off the information that he had found
was by writing books not just for the educated upper class but also the middle class, and in many
publications he presented a synthesis of knowledge covering a vast and complex field in an
authoritative and unique manner (The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica, 2015). Whilst he was

Summary Of Smith s Wealth Of Nations
In Smith s Wealth of Nations, he argues the existence of a natural order. Unless there is some other
human entity messing with that natural order, in the long run commodities will have a certain natural
price. Smith also argues that labor is a commodity, in that the supply of labor (population) is regulated
by demand for labor. He smoothly remarks that if supply exceeds demand, the price of labor decreases
and society then adjusts the supply of labor. Malthus, in his piece An Essay on the Principles of
Population, elaborates on this idea, explaining how much strife is due to an over supply of labor, that
is to say overpopulation. He warns against the masses and any extreme action they might take,
advocating that the poor be illuminated as to the genuine source of their wretchedness and taught to
breed less so they can enjoy higher wages. The biggest split between Smith and his intellectual
children; Malthus, Ricardo, and Sumner, more strongly in the latter two cases, is that Smith, being a
good Calvinist, included a moral compass in his natural state while the others did not. He believed that
people, rather than living in excess, would devote their excess profits as capital, reinvesting it so as to

Sumner says that the wealthy should not be forced to support the upkeep of good for nothings, that is

which they can instill character in their offspring if a man must give up his property to support the
poor, why should he save that money in the first place? Sumner also argues that in America, the
existence of civil liberty gives everyone a chance to succeed, and the ones who succeed simply have

Cloud Computing And Its Benefits For Businesses
The term cloud computing gets tossed around in media and business settings, and while everyone
seems to know generally what it is, not everyone is aware of how to use it, much less how to
implement it in a safe way that still enables it to provide the full benefits of storing data in the cloud
versus storing and managing it on site. Cloud computing has many benefits for businesses, such as
allowing them to store information and be managed by an outside company, which eliminates the cost
and effort of a company having to buy servers, install and configure them, and then hire IT staff to
continue to maintain them. According to a study of over 1,300 U.S. and U.K. businesses, 88 percent
reported that they saved money using cloud services, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This further involves knowing exactly what options exist to host data. Cloud servers can be split into
public, private, and hybrid servers, all of which provide different benefits (businessnewsdaily.com).
Public Cloud Public cloud services are offered by companies that build external platforms that host
multiple users, meaning the infrastructure is shared by all the users. The benefits to this model are that
individual users don t have to worry about many of the details that would plague an in house server.
Public cloud services manage the site security, as well as content management tools. They also are
constantly updating, allowing for seamless transition between different and new technologies. Private
Cloud A private cloud refers to an in house cloud system that is set up and maintained by a companies
own IT staff. This provides a company with the flexibility to manage all of the details of their data
storage which they could not get with a publicly hosted cloud. On the downside, this is more
expensive to maintain and requires the cost of buying the physical infrastructure. Hybrid Cloud A
hybrid cloud system, as the name suggests, combines both the public and private cloud servers models
into one integrated system. For example, a company may choose to host some more sensitive types

Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned Essay
In my opinion, a book is always a better choice for entertainment then a movie. Usually, when a book
is adapted into a movie; the movie always seems to omit scenes and details mentioned in the book.
This is the same with Walter Mosley s Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned; a novel that tells a
story surrounding a man named Socrates Fortlow. However, while the movie version of Always
Outnumbered, Always Outgunned follows the same concept as the book there are substantial
differences in terms of events, details, and chronological order. The first major difference between the
movie and the book is how quickly the movie reveals some of the flaws of the main character Socrates
Fortlow. In fact the movie starts with Socrates appearing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

leave and never tell anyone what happened. Later on in the book, Darryl proceeds to tell Socrates that
he is haunted in his dreams by the retarded boy all the time. However, in the movie this same plot has
a very different twist. In the movie, the retarded boy, whose name is Felix, killed by a young boy by
the name of Phillip who threatens to kill anyone who tells. While some of the events are not the same,
a majority of the differences are tiny details. For example, in the book Socrates has a photo of
Theresa, his ex girlfriend, hanging in his kitchen by the window. In the picture, Theresa is wearing a
red dress but in the movie she is in a white dress. The book also tells the reader that Socrates spent
twenty seven years in prison and was released eight years ago; in the movie; he only served eighteen
years and had only been out for ten months. These are just some of the differences between the book
and the movie.

The Spread of Naturalism in Theaters
In the early 20th century the movement known as naturalism in theatre began to spread. It was first
publically supported my Emile Zola in the 1880s and then modified into naturalistic acting by
Stanislavski (in class notes). The idea behind naturalism is that the environment shapes character.
During the time he began publishing short stories, Anton Chekhov, a man with a passion for writing
since a young age, met Stanislavski (Atkinson). Stanislavski and Vladimir Danchenko founded the
Moscow Arts Theatre and worked together with Chekhov (in class notes). The stage for the Moscow
Art Theatre produced views of realistically looking rooms, furniture, walls, entrances, fixtures and
architectural design for the period of time in which plays took place (Bakshy). During Anton Chekhov
s lifetime, Russia s population grew and unlike the rest of the industrializing Europe, Russia kept its
serf economy. Events in Russia impacted what Chekhov wrote about. He was once the owner of a
cherry orchard and when he sold it, the new owner chopped down all the orchard trees. Chekhov s
play, The Cherry Orchard, along with the Sea Gull, Uncle Vanya and Three Sisters all illustrate the
exasperating life for those who were landowners at the time. Although his characters want a better life,
they don t what to do to achieve it. In Russia at the time, Alexander II emancipated the serfs in his
Emancipation Manifesto but in doing so, he left the emancipated serfs without a way to earn money.

  • 2. Much Ado About Nothing Deception In the works Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare and A Doll s House by Henrik Ibsen, the main characters are deceived within the reliable relationships they created in society. Such deception occurs when Claudio s trust in his friends and family interferes with his marriage to Hero. Similarly, when Nora deceives Torvald by hiding the truth and putting too much trust in her friends. These two events symbolize the similarities of the works and represent a connection of mistrust. The connection between the characters within the two plays demonstrates the tragedies that occur throughout the plot of the story. The concept of deception connects the roles of the main characters as they face consequences as represented in both works by creating relationships and trust within their societies. Deception plays a critical role between Nora and Torvald s society in A Doll s House. As these two characters evolve within the work, trust starts to fade and mistrust starts to appear as seen when Torvald says, Hasn t Miss ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If half thy outward graces had been placed About thy thoughts counsels of thy heart (4.1.108 110)? Claudio is not only in reality deceived by his friends, but thinks he Hero is deceiving him. • 3. One Month Compounded Release Analysis One formulation approach that could be used in order to develop a one month sustained release formulation of compound 5 as a microbicide would be using intravaginal rings. Intravaginal rings are flexible and torus shaped devices that are placed in the vagina (adjacent to the cervix). A concentration gradient is formed when the device comes into contact with the vaginal lumen and hence the drug is released. The rings are usually made up of silicone or ethylene vinyl acetate. The efficacy is maximized at lower doses and the side effects are less. The ring contains the drug spread throughout the entire matrix. The rate of release of the drug depends on: i. The solubility of the drug in the polymer ii. The surface area of the ring iii. The capability ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Pharmacokinetic analysis suggests that the orally administered nanoemulsions had a higher rate of absorption and the concentration of the drug in the brain and plasma was the highest. Formulation: The drug nanoemulsion was prepared by adding 50% of the drug solution (with dehydrated ethanol) to one ml of safflower oil and it was stirred for the oil drug mixture to distribute homogenously and for all the ethanol to evaporate. Deionized distilled water (contains egg phosphatidylcholine) and deoxycholic acid.(40mg) make up the aqueous phase. Both the phases are heated at 70oc separately. The oil phase was slowly added to the aqueous phase and stirred well. The mixture was then sonicated (21% amplitude and 50%duty cycle). The mixture formed (drug containing nanoemulsion) was then filtered and stored at 4oc.Preparation of aqueous suspension was made using 3H Labeled drug and unlabeled drug in ethanol along with Deionized distilled water (contains egg phosphatidylcholine) and deoxycholic acid. Every time someone throws a bottle away, they have taken up more space in a landfill for the next four hundred fifty to one thousand years. Besides the long decomposition rate, water bottles are the cause of several more environmental issues. Overfilling landfills, health hazards caused by refilling, and the economic stresses due to the constant and inconvenient repurchasing are just a few of the negatives water bottles have on us. An important character in this film is Pai herself. This character has significant importance as she is used to portray numerous important ideas and themes throughout the film. Pai helps me to understand and appreciate that women can also be leaders that are equal to men if they have the right attributes. The director Niki Caro uses numerous different film techniques to convey this idea, such as; the camera shots and camera angles when Pai is giving her speech to Koro, the use of camera angles and props in relation to the dialogue when Pai if fixing the motorboat engine, and the use of props when Pai is teaching herself to use the Taiaha. The use of camera shots and camera angles while she is giving her speech to Koro, helps to show Pai s important attributes which are necessary for a good leader. One of these shots is the low angle while Pai is giving her speech. Low angles are often used to give the focus object or person a feeling or respect, even if Pai is crying, which shows that Pai is respected by the community. There was no kiosk for them and there were none of that flavor in the aisle. At this Walmart, where they should have been was surrounded by other types of Lipton, Pure Life, and Snapple teas. On Monday October 10th, I went to Walmart in Ashland because I failed to purchase tea in Wadsworth. They had it, but were also surprisingly low stocked. My theory is this product is a star in the summer time, but in the fall and winter months it is more of a cash cow. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 28. Scottish Archaeology Essay Scotland has an abundance of archaeology all throughout the country and all within different parts of prehistory. Scottish archaeology has a big impact on both the rest of the UK and on the rest of Europe. Although during the beginning of the 20th century, archaeology was seen as nothing more than labour, with the help of the two great men which held the Abercromby chair both with their own contributions to Scottish archaeology as a whole it soon rocketed into the discipline what we see today. It s important to note that during the beginnings of the 20th century, Scotland s archaeology wasn t as advanced as it is today and a simple but effective way that the honourable John Abercromby sought to overcome this was by putting a chair in ... As he believed that archaeology should become a science and the first step to do this was to establish a systematic and significant classification for its materials (Patterson and Orser, 2004:25). However he didn t just classify these objects, he was able to think about how everything was connected, it s explained that he was no longer content with merely describing and classifying the objects he uncovered; he must ascertain how they were made and whence the materials for their manufacture came (Ibid, 36). He managed to link what he had found and connected it not only with the other artefacts that he had found but also the rest of the landscape, by simply linking everything together he had managed to gain a bigger picture of Scotland, he also managed to connect the prehistory of Scotland to the prehistory of Europe by comparing artefacts and seeing the relationships between the two (Sherrat, 1989:151). An effective way that he could show off the information that he had found was by writing books not just for the educated upper class but also the middle class, and in many publications he presented a synthesis of knowledge covering a vast and complex field in an authoritative and unique manner (The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica, 2015). • 32. Summary Of Smith s Wealth Of Nations In Smith s Wealth of Nations, he argues the existence of a natural order. Unless there is some other human entity messing with that natural order, in the long run commodities will have a certain natural price. Smith also argues that labor is a commodity, in that the supply of labor (population) is regulated by demand for labor. He smoothly remarks that if supply exceeds demand, the price of labor decreases and society then adjusts the supply of labor. Malthus, in his piece An Essay on the Principles of Population, elaborates on this idea, explaining how much strife is due to an over supply of labor, that is to say overpopulation. He warns against the masses and any extreme action they might take, advocating that the poor be illuminated as to the genuine source of their wretchedness and taught to breed less so they can enjoy higher wages. The biggest split between Smith and his intellectual children; Malthus, Ricardo, and Sumner, more strongly in the latter two cases, is that Smith, being a good Calvinist, included a moral compass in his natural state while the others did not. He believed that people, rather than living in excess, would devote their excess profits as capital, reinvesting it so as to produce ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cloud Computing And Its Benefits For Businesses The term cloud computing gets tossed around in media and business settings, and while everyone seems to know generally what it is, not everyone is aware of how to use it, much less how to implement it in a safe way that still enables it to provide the full benefits of storing data in the cloud versus storing and managing it on site. Cloud computing has many benefits for businesses, such as allowing them to store information and be managed by an outside company, which eliminates the cost and effort of a company having to buy servers, install and configure them, and then hire IT staff to continue to maintain them. The benefits to this model are that individual users don t have to worry about many of the details that would plague an in house server. Public cloud services manage the site security, as well as content management tools. They also are constantly updating, allowing for seamless transition between different and new technologies. Private Cloud A private cloud refers to an in house cloud system that is set up and maintained by a companies own IT staff. • 37. Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned Essay In my opinion, a book is always a better choice for entertainment then a movie. Usually, when a book is adapted into a movie; the movie always seems to omit scenes and details mentioned in the book. This is the same with Walter Mosley s Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned; a novel that tells a story surrounding a man named Socrates Fortlow. However, while the movie version of Always Outnumbered, Always Outgunned follows the same concept as the book there are substantial differences in terms of events, details, and chronological order. The first major difference between the movie and the book is how quickly the movie reveals some of the flaws of the main character Socrates Fortlow. In fact the movie starts with Socrates appearing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Realizing that they were seen, Darryl and his friends run and the boy inevitably follows. In the picture, Theresa is wearing a red dress but in the movie she is in a white dress. • 38. The Spread of Naturalism in Theaters In the early 20th century the movement known as naturalism in theatre began to spread. It was first publically supported my Emile Zola in the 1880s and then modified into naturalistic acting by Stanislavski (in class notes). The idea behind naturalism is that the environment shapes character. During the time he began publishing short stories, Anton Chekhov, a man with a passion for writing since a young age, met Stanislavski (Atkinson). Stanislavski and Vladimir Danchenko founded the Moscow Arts Theatre and worked together with Chekhov (in class notes). The stage for the Moscow Art Theatre produced views of realistically looking rooms, furniture, walls, entrances, fixtures and architectural design for the period of time in which plays took place (Bakshy). During Anton Chekhov s lifetime, Russia s population grew and unlike the rest of the industrializing Europe, Russia kept its serf economy. Events in Russia impacted what Chekhov wrote about. He was once the owner of a cherry orchard and when he sold it, the new owner chopped down all the orchard trees. Chekhov s play, The Cherry Orchard, along with the Sea Gull, Uncle Vanya and Three Sisters all illustrate the exasperating life for those who were landowners at the time. Although his characters want a better life, they don t what to do to achieve it. In Russia at the time, Alexander II emancipated the serfs in his Emancipation Manifesto but in doing so, he left the emancipated serfs without a way to earn money. They ...
