ACRONYMS
• DPA = Digital Process Automation.
• RPA = Robotic Process Automation.
WHAT IS DIGITAL PROCESS AUTOMATION (DPA)
• A strategic approach that concentrates on reshaping and digitising an organisation’s existing
business processes to achieve optimal efficiency and productivity.
• Also known as Business Process Management (BPM).
WHAT IS ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION (RPA)
• Automates repetitive rules-based tasks typically performed by humans on their computer utilising the
user interface to manipulate data and applications just as a human would.

• UiPath robot monitored the mailbox, opened the invoice, categorised it and extracted the necessary details.
• Depending on extraction accuracy:
• If confident:
• The UiPath Robot automatically logged into internet banking and processed the payment.
• If not:
• Brought a human into the loop and assigned a task via K2 to review.
• The user could update the fields as needed and then submit the K2 form.
• Once the K2 form was submitted, K2 started a UiPath process which automatically logged into
internet banking and processed the payment.
