Analysis Of Frozen Assets By Diego Rivera
Paintings are expression in art form, they reveal the feelings of the painters, and convey the
messages. One of the greatest painter that can reflect the lives of the Mexican people is Diego
Rivera. Diego Rivera is famous for marrying a fellow Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, but is a
notorious womanizer, also famous for his paintings. In one of the paintings, Frozen Assets, Diego
Rivera visited New York during the Great Depressiondepicting the people and city in his paintings
with colors with the meaning behind it. Since the color is a big thing in paintings, the color gray
that Diego Rivera paint on Frozen Assets, probably represent the people facing in the Great
Depression. The first two panels have the color gray because people were suffering and not
enough money and the last panel, it has more light and have these bright colors. First, the first
panel, the skyscrapers were there when Diego Rivera arrived to New York, perhaps symbolizing
that the unfinished city is frozen in time. The machines below the skyscrapers are still there
because probably, they are still building more, but stop since there was great numbers of
unemployment, the machines perhaps have stop working at that time. The grayish color on the
buildings probably represent that money ran out and people are facing the consequences of the
Great Depression. Then there is the train below the buildings, it is believed that that train was
running at that time Diego Rivera visited New York. The functional train

The Growth Of Employees Benefits Occurred After World...
The growth of employees benefits occurred after World War Two during the first phase of the
American Industrialization. The primary reason was to attract employees because of the shortage
that World War two which created less available employees in the workforce industry. Another
cause leading to benefits growth is the ability of companies with a large number of employees to
purchase insurance at a lower cost than individual insurance. Benefits are considered a crucial
component of an employee s overall compensation and might include medical coverage, disability
insurance, retirement benefits and investment options in the form of stock share or 401k. The
government mandates US companies operating in US to offer obligatory benefits such as Social
Security retirement benefits, workers compensation and unemployment insurance. The US health
care reform was introduced initially during Harry Truman s administration, and it was
concentrated on the issues of coverage rather than the costs and the consequences. Only on March
23, 2010 the Affordable Care Act was signed into law by President Barack Obama. Under the
health care reform every individual is obliged to get coverage through a health plan, Medicaid, or
other public programs; otherwise a penalty will be applied. Americans will be able to check the
rates and choose a plan online through the health insuranceexchange program. Federal subsidies or
reductions are available for individuals or families whose incomes fall

Lulu Ullali Bevay Summary
Lulu Ulali Bevay was 36 years old when her standard Western doctor had prescribed her
pharmaceutical medicine. Rather than filling her prescription, Lulu had turned to her traditional
medical beliefs and sought relief through her Cherokee roots. In accordance with her native beliefs,
removing all negative energies will consequently make her healthy. Therefore, she believed natural
remedies were the answer to her ailments, leading her to go through a Cherokee purification
ceremony. In comparison to Western medicine, natural remedies are a common practice among
Native Americans; though with hundreds of native tribes currently residing in the United States,
beliefs, customs, and overall subcultures vary in many ways.
Nevertheless, certain traditions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Adding to the conversation, academic scholar Daniel Carlock notes, health disparities between
Native Americans and the general population of the United States are a major health concern
(Carlock, Danielle). Hence, an inherent culturally based issue arises where natives are disregarding
modern medicine and Western medical practices and instead turning to a traditional holistic
approach. Alternative to standard science being the leading factor towards understanding illness
and medicine, a cultural barrier divides indigenous peoples perception of the effectiveness of
Western science in regards to traditional beliefs. This creates much difficulty for the U.S.
government agency the Indian Health Service providing health care and assistance to federally
recognized tribes and indigenous peoples. Commenting on Native American health discrepancies,
professor James E. Cheek finds the infectious disease rate in Native Americans populations was
significantly higher than that of Whites (Cheek, James E). This connects Native American cultural
beliefs to an increase in medical disparities in relationship to following standard Western medical
practices. With tradition ingrained in Native American culture, indigenous medical practices fail to
focus on pathology and curing the disease, instead restoring balance between one s mind, body,
and spirit is the focus of natives. Consequently, this is leading to standard Western medical
practices and medicine being disregarded because Western culture in terms of medicine has been
seen to impede important native spirituality beliefs. The rates for the top ten underlying causes of
death were significantly higher for Native American persons than those for whites (Cheek, James
E). This study accounts for the disparities in regards to

Women in World War Two
Women in World War Two There was much more to women s work during World War Two than:
make, do, and mend. They built tanks, worked with rescue teams, and operated behind enemy
lines Carol Harris. Have you ever thought that women could have such an important paper during
a war? In 1939 to 1945 for many women, World War II brought not only sacrifices, but also a
new style of life including more jobs, opportunities and the development of new skills. They were
considered as America s secret weapon by the government. Women were who allow getting over
every challenge that was imposed by a devastating war. It is necessary to recognize that women
during this period brought a legacy that produced major changes in social norms and work.
In 1919, Lloyd George of England, Orlando of Italy, Clemenceau of France and Woodrow Wilson
from the US met to discuss how Germany was to be made to pay for the damage caused in World
War One, this produced the creation of the Treaty of Versailles
. German people were unhappy with
this. They couldn t afford to pay the money because they were really poor after the war. The only
solution they had was to choose a man who promise to rip up the treaty, his name was Adolf Hitler,
the man who started the World War II, that generated an incredible change In many countries were

In 1943, he got married with Shareen Amin Begum, who was left by Bhutto to remarry again.
Bhutto married again an Iranian Kurdish woman named Begum Nusrat Ispahani in Karachi on 8th
Sept., 1951. His political career mainly started in the year 1957, when the Bhutto became the
youngest member of Pakistan s delegation to UN. In the year 1958, he became the youngest
PakistanCabinet Minister under President Ayub Khan. He was famous for his demagogic styles of
speech, which brought him to national prominence and popularity.
His rise in politics and higher echelons of power was due to his mysteriously sharp mind coupled
with cunning desire to be on the top of the national politics. His astute political manoeuvrings can
be gauged from the fact that on the eve of India China war in 1962, the rulers of China invited
Pakistan to jointly dismember India by attacking on North East and Laddakh and Pakistan from
Jammu side in Jammu and Kashmir to grab the maximum territory. Pakistan could fulfil their wish
by taking Kashmir and China would grab entire North East to come closure to Indian Ocean. Bhutto
disclosed the plan to General Ayub Khan the President of Pakistan but got rebuked for such a
loathsome and outrageous suggestion, rather was suggested that Pakistan should have Joint
Defence Agreement with India. Bhutto was aghast and made a sorry exit, calling Ayub Khan a
political bankrupt.

The Impact Of Hate Crimes In America
Over the years, America has been prone to this violent act of hate crime that puts its citizens in a
situation of distressed and confusion. Hate crimes have been a part of America s history and
culture for decades. Because America is a diverse country, the level of hate crimes is outrageous in
many different levels due to different cultures, ethnicities, skin colors, and religions. Hate crimeis a
serious act and has influenced our society today to look at certain people a different way. It is not
an act that people are born with rather than they are taught by it or it was inherited within a
particular social group. With the election of President Trump in 2016, hate crimeactivities have
really increased in just a year s matter. President Donald Trump plays a role in really highlighting
these hate crimesand almost making it seem like he is promoting hate crimes though many of his
speeches and statements. Of the many factors that contribute to the highly increasing hate crime
activities, there are four factors that I believe are contributing to the increasing hate crime
activities. Those four factors are thrill seeking, retaliation, mission offenders, and the income
inequality. These factors all have a part into why hate crime activities are increasing over the
year. There are many different hate crimes in America. Hate crimes are considered as criminal
offenses and depending on which state this criminal offense has been committed, they have their
own laws to rule over it. According to Jack Leven and Jack McDevitt, in their article Hate
Crimes, they explained, ..the vast majority of hate crime laws do not criminalize any new
behavior; instead, they increase the penalty for behaviors that are already against the law (Leven
McDevitt, 2011). This is something that has been reviewed and updated over the years. As many
new behaviors to hate crime activity surface, those crimes will eventually fall under some old laws
but the penalty of it will eventually increase. This hate crime activity includes any acts that involve
with any negative attitudes or prejudice toward anyone because of their race, religion, ethnicity, or
gender. It often leads to people being bias and showing a tremendous amount of hatred

As The Advent Of The Eighteenth Century Had Came Into...
As the advent of the eighteenth century had came into reality, profound developments in the realm
of the arts began to take hold. Romanticism, as the era was known, shifted the focus from rational
viewpoints to a feel of expressing ...freedom and revolution in their art and politics (Poets). In
effect, individuality began to take root in writing, an ideal not employed during the reign of
Classicalism. William Wordsworth, one of the numerous promulgators of this era, had set the stage,
writing over the complexity and nature of the world around him. One the most notable poems of
Wordsworth are London, 1802 , which describes the decadence of Great Britain from his point of
view, with notable focuses on its meaning and structure; Wordsworth... Show more content on

As a matter of personal opinion, this poem seems peculiar with its prophetic undertones. To
explain, a social divide like the one that is depicted by Wordsworth has been taking place in the
United Kingdom. Brexit , a referendum to leave the European Union that passed during the
summer of 2016, mimics the nationalistic fervor that is exhibited in the poem, especially in
phrasing such as ...raise us up, return to us again... (Meyer 703). In addition, one can infer that
since older generations of voters swayed the decision, they too have a longing for a revived golden
age, much like the plea that Wordsworth has towards the likes of John Milton, who was before
Wordsworth time. Of course, this notable poem could not only be directed to the United
Kingdom, but across the world as well. Across the many systems of governments, an ideological
shift towards the right on the political spectrum has offered growth in terms of their own nation
being the first of concern, and the rest of the world second. Such a shift tries to revive the golden
age that Wordsworth has longed desired. In essence, the poem exhibits a striking resemblance to the
world s current ideological shift.
William Wordsworth, living from 1770 1850, was renowned in his establishment of Romanticism,
with most of his works being shaped by his experiences. Having commenced his education at
Hawkshead Grammar School in 1779, he found his love for poetry while discovering how to
express his delight

The And Political Foundation For Lay Participation
The historic and political foundation for lay participation in criminal jury trials is that it offers an
important check on judicial and political power exercised exclusively by the government. The jury
s role as a popular body for oversight of government becomes especially important when individual
citizens or groups have been accused of committing serious crimes against their own government.
After the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and the passage of the 2001 Patriot Act in the United States and
similar anti terrorismmeasures imposed in other nations in the world, serious terrorism charges have
been brought against their citizens, political dissidents, and civic activists. In Australia, for
instance, after the passage of the Anti Terrorism Act in 2002, two separate juries examined charges
of terrorism. In Australia s first ever terrorism trial in 2005, the all citizen juryacquitted Zeky
Mallah, 21 year old supermarket worker, of terrorist charges of preparing to storm government
offices and shoot officers in a supposed suicide mission . In the second highly controversial trial,
in which the government s only evidence was the defendant s confession extracted at a Pakistani
military prison, the jury found Joseph Thomas guilty of charges for intentionally receiving funds
from al Qaeda. However, soon after the verdict, the appeal s court reversed all of his convictions
because it determined his coerced confession at a foreign prison to be inadmissible .

Christianity Dominates American Society And Children Essay
Christianity dominates American society, and due to this any sort of religious rebellion is
automatically seen as hearsay and blasphemy that poisons our society and children. While in the
college setting we try to be more open to other ideas, people still look down on alternate religions
as the wrong way. As for the Satanist church, they re seen as downright evil, certainly a popular
misconception in our culture. When LaVey started the Temple of Satan in the 1960 s, he was
poking fun at our uptight Christian society (Urban, 170.) Modern LaVey Satanism is a mixture
between serious ritual and satire, resulting in a strange community and an even more passionate
following. Throughout our class, we have been learning about what makes a religiona religion, the
people involved, and the culture that relates to its very core. Satanism as a whole is partially
religious, and partially atheist. Nevertheless, this community is fighting for representation in the
media, in schools, and in the community as much as the next religion. Satanism is pushing
against the dominant religion, and in doing so, opening the floodgates for itself as well as other
religious groups for their right to religious freedoms in the United States. In my paper, I will
discuss various branches of Satanism, with a focus on the Satanic Temple s movement and it s
fame and reception in today s media. From a modern Christian perspective, Satan is a
representation of worship of all things evil. However, modern

Astronomy Impact
Astronomical impact of the Moon on Earth
By: Peter Wehrfritz (500405367) CPCS 181
The moon has had a profound impact on the earth s evolution as well as life on Earth. Our moon
is believed to have been created about 4.5 billion years ago, when a large planetoid crashed into
the Earth, spraying space debris which was gradually captured by gravity 2. Eventually, this
material solidified into a body which we know as our moon. 3. This process is unique in our solar
system as the other planet s moons were formed by capturing free floating bodies with their gravity
3.
Physical Characteristics of the Moon
Earth s moon is the brightest object in our night sky. It has an elliptical orbit around the earth every
27.322 days and it also takes approximately ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The gravitational force of the moon is strong enough to exert a pulling force on the Earth, but
the Earth is able to hold on to everything except the water 7. As the water is in constant motion
the moon gravity is able to create a pull on the water, causing it to bulge resulting in high tide 7.
As the Moon and the earth are moving with respect to each other, the force creating high tide
also moves over different parts of the earth. Each day, there are two high tides and two low tides,
with about 12 hours and 25 minutes between the two high tides 7. However, these periods do not
happen at the same time each day because the moon takes about 50 minutes more than earth s 24
hour day to exactly align again with the same point on the Earth. Therefore, the timing of high
tides is staggered throughout the month, with each tide occurring approximately 24 hours and 50
minutes later than the previous one 6. It is also observed that the water on the opposite side of
Earth which faces away from the Moon also experiences high tide 6. The reason is that the
stronger centrifugal force pulls in the opposite direction to negate the moon s gravitational pull on
the earth to keep them apart and thus causes the ocean water on the opposite side of the Earth to
bulge and experience high tide

Cuneiform Script
Cuneiform Expression: The Language Before Letters The Cuneiform script, an early form of
language consisting of pictographic symbols, was first created by the Sumerians and later built on
by other cultures. Written on wet clay tablets, Cuneiform symbols were drawn with a long reed
crafted into a writing instrument, also known as a stylus. The stylus created wedge shapes, which is
why the name cuneiform was assigned to it. Cuneiform translates to wedge shaped . Some
Languages included in the Cuneiform classification were Sumerian, Akkadian, Elamite, Hittite,
Luwian, Hurrian, Hattic, and Urartian. Cuneiform was primarily used during the time period that
lasted between the 30th century BC to 1st century AD. The first symbol picture was... Show more

Among the many varieties stemming from the Mesopotamian cuneiform came Hittite, which was
named after the Hattusa kingdom in the Old Testament. The Hittites, a people centered in north
central Anatolia, developed their own customized language evolving from the ancient cuneiform.
This language was used mostly for writing secular text. Hittite contained many words that were
borrowed from other languages, such as the Hurrian and the Hattic, and was composed of a
primarily syllabic nature. The Hittite language was used from 1600 BC to 1100 BC, and it is
suspected that the language was still spoken after the Hittite empire collapsed. Hittite was the
earliest Indo European language, although some argue otherwise about its classification. Although
the cuneiform script includes other cultures and languages, these ones are significantly important
because they were widely used and they all basically started a very new way for particular cultures.
Communication is a very important part of our history of knowledge and culture. Along with new
communication comes new ideas, thoughts, technology, ways of living, and culture. We can even
see how our modern language today, much like these languages, evolved from much simpler
language into a process of communication we use on a daily

The Great Moai Statues Of Easter Island
Similarities and differences are what make things so interesting. Would you be happy if everyone
was the same. Every looked the same, and liked the same things and hated the same things. No
you wouldn t because you would want to be you and no one can tell you what you want to be or
what you don t want to be. Even the buildings you make would be the same from a normal house
to a normal office building. The Panama Canalwas one of the most useful canals ever built and
they were made to for one reason and that was to transport goods. This was somethings everyone
needed to solve at that time(1900s). The great Moaistatues of Easter Island are also great structures
and are really tremendous to the eye. These buildings and canals were made to one purpose they
had to do somethings and that something was to make things easier for the people. Some
similarities they had were that they both took a long time and sacrifice to build. A differencethey
had was that they were built for different purposes and they had their own different struggles.
Predominantly, The Panama Canal was one of the greatest structures built by mankind. The Moai
as well were something to be fascinated by because they were beautiful creations made by us.
The one thing they both have in common was that they both took a long time to build. The Moai

Essay on Social Control Theory vs. Social Learning Theory
Social Control Theory vs. Social Learning Theory
Abstract
Social control theory and social learning theory are two theories that suggest why deviant
behavior is chosen to be acted upon by some individuals and not others. Both take a different
stance on the issue. Social control theory suggests people s behavior is based on their bonds to
society, if they have strong bonds to society they conform and if not they have a tendency to act out
or become involved in criminal or deviant behavior. Social learning theory suggest that through
vicarious learning people learn from observing others and based on what the observe make the

47 54). Also to achieve many of these goals it is very helpful not to participate in delinquent
behavior because it is looked upon negatively and could hinder the achievement of the goals.
The third element in Hirschi bond to society is involvement. Involvement in this theory is simply
the level of participation an individual actively pursues in conventional activities. Some of the
activities this could include are social events, sports teams, school clubs, religious organizations,
family events, or simply a job. These types of activities keep people busy and provide less time
to participate or get caught up in delinquent behavior. This is especially the case for adolescents as
they are highly influenced by peers who may not lead them to the best choices on how to spend
their time, which could lead to deviant behavior (Simons, Simons, amp; Wallace, 2004, p. 21).
The fourth and final element is belief (Simons, Simons, amp; Wallace, 2004, p. 21). Parents and
teachers can play an important role in children s lives by teaching them right from wrong, moral
issues, and the basic rules and laws of society. How the child comes to understand, accept, and
believe in these concepts will determine how he or she acts. If the child believes in these rules and
laws and accepts them he or she is more likely to follow the law and less likely to partake in
delinquent behavior, the opposite holds true if he or she does not believe in the rules or do not
care or fear the

The Importance Of Environmental Problems On The Environment
With as many environmental problems that plague the world today, they all fall within three
different aspects of everyday life: political systems, economic systems, and material structures and
resources. The following theories conceptualize the root of environmental problems in these
different areas of society but are able to offer solutions independent of each other. In the selections
of From Welfare State to Ecostate, James Meadowcraft suggests that the key to solving
environmental problems lies within political systems and that we must rebuild those systems so
that the environmentwill be considered in every decision that gets made. Anthony Weston, in his
book Mobilizing the Green Imagination, feels that environmental problems lie in economic systems
and that the solution would be to revamp how products are made and distributed to limit the impact
that production has on the environment. Finally, in Techno Fix Michael and Joyce Huesemann see
environmental problems stemming from material structures and resources and that the way to
combat problems in this aspect is to reinvent technology that is sustainable, rather than having
society function on resources that are unsustainable (fossil fuels, for example).
To begin with, James Meadowcraft s solution can best be described as reshaping political systems
to be more ecologically conscious states. An ecological state, according to Meadowcraft, is one that
hugely considers the impact that every facet of the entire nation has on

Egg Drop Experiment Essay
For an egg drop machine to be successfully protected the egg when it drop at a certain height, the
creator must have an idea of it weight and the way it drop. It also depend on other factor, like the
surface it is drop to, because if it a hard surface, the chance of the egg breaking will be higher than
sand surface.
The formula for this design is F=ma= Ft=mV
For this, the mass is important, because if the machine is to heavy, it will drop faster and the impact
will be heavier, the chance of the egg breaking will also increase, while if the weight is light, it
will drop slower and the impact will also less. So basing this equation, and because of the
restriction of material and rules, I decided to designed a machine that have small square box, and
in it, there is a cone that will contain the egg. I thought of this design because I think of how the
small square box will absorb the instead of the cone impact cone, so the egg will had a higher

Abstract
This paper shows cultural differences between Iranians, Chinese and Indians in business
negotiations based on interviews with three businessmen: an American citizen who set up a general
trading company in China, an Iranian Canadian citizen who has a trading company in Iran, and an
Indian America who set up a business in India. The interview questions focused on cultural
elements based on Hofstede s research: power distance, low high context, and general business
behavior in these countries.
Lessons Learned Report
Knowledge of other cultures is one of the keys to being successful in business dealings. This paper
reports on real experiences in cross cultural business interactions from three different perspectives. I
interviewed three successful businessmen, one who worked with Iranians, one with Chinese, and
one with Indians. I interviewed them independently, and my questions covered four different
elements: cultural behavior in business negotiations, management as symbol of high power distance
in the companies, knowledge of high context or low context culture, and finally knowledge of each
of culture to have better business negotiation in future.

Hip Flexor Activity
During mid stance the peak height of the hip is seen to be higher on the prosthetic limb than in a
non amputee. This is a result of the reduced flexion of the prosthetic knee. Also the characteristic of
the prosthetic foot influences the peak height too. After contralateral foot contact an abrupt
transition from hipextensionto flexionis seen. In the late stance, an eccentric hip flexor activity is
seen as compared to normal. This inturn generates higher hip flexor moment. This greater moment
further decelerates the extending hip and ensures that the HAT segment does not lag behind as the

A Guard on Religious Freedom Essay
Persuasive Essay #1
A Guard on Religious Freedom
In the eyes of our founding fathers, few things seemed as important as the separation of church and
state. The first amendment grants all Americans the freedom to subscribe to any religion they wish
and promises that the government will not promote any religion above any other. Although the
separation of church and state and the freedom of religion are firmly and concretely secured in the
Constitution of the United States, events in the recent past bring to question whether this ideal is
under threat of losing its place as an American standard.
A recent controversy that brings to light the threat of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is important to choose a battle wisely to not take away from future battle and maintain importance
on the battles deserving of a fight.
One such battle that is deserving of attention is the battle of prayer in school or the moment of
silence as a clever euphemism. To publicly bring attention to students with different beliefs is
clearly a violation of the ideals of our fore fathers. Not only does the moment of silence bring
sensitive differences to light but clearly presses on the issues of religion and possibly alienates
religious minorities.
Another such recent test to the separation of church and state was President Bush s public definition
of marriage and attack on homosexual relationships. Under the code of unethical, Mr. Bush
attempted to ban the union of two same sex members from joining as married. Although no Biblical
scripture has been presented as support for the proposed constitutional amendment, the
disagreement with same sex marriage can primarily be found in the religious fields or in area s
traditionally known as religiously dominant areas. Marriage is both an emotional as well as
contractual union of individuals. To prevent the union should require the backing of evidence that
appeals to more than the fickle nature of the public.
When arguing for the importance of the maintenance of the separation of church and state, it is
important to focus on

Analysis Of The Book The Hobbit
The Hobbit, a novel by J.R.R Tolkien, was a prequel to The Lord of the Rings series. The Hobbit
is also an adventure story that follows the classic, hero s journey. The protagonist of the novel,
Bilbo, is much like the European explorers in the Age of Exploration during the 15th Century.
For example, Christopher Columbus was widely regarded as a hero during his time. Columbus
was a Spanish explorer that is known for discovering the Americas. In 1492, Columbus set sail
west in hopes of discovering a new route to the Indies, instead he found America. Like Bilbo,
Columbus was an ordinary person who went on an adventure, faced challenges, and in the end,
became a hero. Previously, a hero s journey was mentioned. The pattern that heroes go through in
their journey was discovered by writer Joseph Campbell. Campbell studied many adventure stories
and noticed a pattern that all of the heroes went through. He said that the journey they take
happens in seven phases. These stages take the hero out of the environment they are in, give them
conflicts, make them face a big challenge, sends them home, and finally the hero shares their gift
to their society. This cycle is demonstrated in many adventure stories and movies. In fact, many
authors study Campbell s work when they are writing stories. Bilbo goes through this hero s
journey and this is shown when he goes through stage one and two, four, and five. First, Bilbo goes
through stage one and two of the hero s journey. Stage one and

Securing Healthcare Networks Against Cyber Attacks Essay
Securing Healthcare Networks against Cyber Attacks
Abstract:
In the current era of digitization, with all the data being converted from paper to electronic records,
even the healthcare industry has become so dependent on technology. As hospitals are adopting
electronic means for data storage, medical results, transactions and billing, utmost care is to be
taken to protect a patient s personal privacy by protecting their electronic health records, which is
only possible by enhancing the security and privacy of the hospital s network. This paper proposes
certain security mechanisms for a more controlled and safer access to the healthcare provider s
network, thus being aware of every device trying to access the network and making sure only
authorized devices are able to connect, with the help of measures such as, intrusion detection
systems to continuously monitor the network, firewalls to ensure endpoint devices comply with
security policies and biometrics for identity based network access control.
1. Introduction
Numerous health care industries have been victims of cyber attacks. Such attacks occur when an
isolated device transfers the stored medical data to the hospital s network, which could possibly
takeover the entire network of the hospital and intercept data exchange between the patient and the
healthcare center. For instance, wearable devices such as the (insulin) diabetes kit that determines
the exact amount to be discharged into the patient s blood, based on

What Is The Purpose Of The Witches In Macbeth
In the seventeen hundreds there was a strong belief in witches and all of the power they obtained.
People, during the time, believed witches were tied to the devil and only intended to ruin peoples
lives. Many people believed all witches were bad, but some believed that witches could use their
unworldly power to better people. Witches could not have healed nor destroyed people without the
use of potions. During the time period of Macbeth, through the use of potions witches were
capable of predicting the future, healing a person, and destroying one s life. Witches created
potions for a variety of reasons. Witches wanted people to believe that faith would cure them.

A negative spell could really affect someone s life for the worse. Larner emphasizes that, There
were sudden illness, certain accidents, lingering illnesses for which no cause was clear, strokes,

revenge on a sailor s wife who refused to share her chestnuts with her. Therefore, the witch casted
a spell on the sailor that deprived him of sleep. This shows the witches had power to harm
someone s life in the matter of seconds. A witches superpowers were so strong and people were
frightened by their strengths. Larner adds, She might or might not have a reputation for harming
as well as healing, but above all she was deemed to have malevolent supernatural powers (Larner).
Witches can help or hurt someone and in Macbeth they are used to hurt someone. Macbeth was a
hero and warrior until he met the witches. Macbeth starts to change for the worse when the
witches began to give him prosephies. The witches gave Macbeth the ambition to want to become
king and Macbeth would go through drastic measures to achieve his goal of becoming king.
Guiley suggests, Spells may be beneficial or harmful and they may be worked on people, animals,

Descriptive Essay On A Day At The Restaurant
As I become more occupied cleaning glasses, I have less time to talk to customers and
coworkers. I continue to listen to and chime in on the conversations people share at the bar. There
is the constant background noise of the dishwasher going, people talking in other dining rooms,
and background music. The dishwasher lets out a muffled humming noise that only I really can
hear while it s functioning. Even when it seems to obnoxiously rage with sound, no one at the bar
ever notices. The television above my head constantly screens some sort of sporting event. There s
no sound coming from this, so people can hear the Motown music played throughout the
restaurant. On the back of my pants I have a buzzer attached that lets me know when people at the
bar s food or to go orders are up. When the kitchensignals my buzzer, I quickly head into the
server station and pick up a black, non skid server tray. I go down to the kitchen, which exudes
smells of numerous different types of cuisines, and pick up the food ready to be served. I set a
large chicken Florentine pizza on a pizza stand for a couple, a pizza composed of chicken breast,
tomato, red onion, and spinach on mozzarella. As I hand the two customers fresh cracked black
pepper to sprinkle, I hear a glass crash against the wooden floor in the 200s dining room, the largest

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
Humans need to feel a sense of acceptance and belonging; moreover, teens need to feel loved and
valued by their families. If the family does not meet this need, they tend to attach themselves to
another social group, usually to a group of friends. Unfortunately, without these close ties to
their families, some teens will attach themselves to a group of delinquents and adopt a gang
lifestyle. In her novel The Outsiders, S.E. Hinton illustrates how Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally s
dysfunctional family situations led them to attach themselves to the Greasers while
demonstrating how these choices resulted in tragic consequences. After the death of his
parents, Darry ineptly takes on the responsibility of raising his brothers, yet Ponyboy Curtis does
not understand why he is so hard on him. Soda attempts to convince Ponyboy that Darry loves
him, but Ponyboy simply thinks Darry thought I was just another mouth to feed and somebody
to holler at. Darry love me? I thought of those hard, pale eyes. Soda was wrong for once, I
thought. Darry doesn t love anyone or anything, except for maybe Soda. I didn t hardly think of
him as being human. I don t care, I lied to myself, I don t care about him either (18). Ponyboy
simply sees Darry as a brother who is unhappy with being forced to raise him when in reality,
Darry is attempting to take on a responsibility that he s not ready for yet, but is trying to do his
best with it. (Discuss why he runs to Johnny and Dally instead of Darry

2.If you had the ability to change your group project, how would you alter it and why? (1 paragraph)
I would alter the project by using the formula of VO2max=15x(HRmax/HRrest), and have each
participant perform a VO2Max test, by using the metabolic cart. I would then compare the results
from the metabolic cart and the VO2 equation, and them compare the results for comparison. I
would make this change, because our group had to alter the formula of VO2max=15x(HRmax
/HRrest), in order to perform a submaximal test. What we did was calculated the max heart rate,
and multiplied that value by 85% of VO2 which would be considered a submaximal test.
I would have liked to have seen the comparison to the equation and the metabolic cart, to see if
there was an increase or decrease in the values of each of the measurements of maximal oxygen
consumption. This would be interesting to analyze, because the population will not always have a
metabolic cart around to measure VO2. If the equation showed similar values to the metabolic cart,
the equation would be a good tool to use for estimation if the metabolic cart was not available.

Religious Views On The Fringe
Being from a small, conservative town, being called a liberal is meant insultingly. Being called
atheist was synonymous with devil worshipper . Yet, for a time, I was atheist leaning and still
am a liberal. Being on the fringe has often led to a series of confrontations that have shaped my
political and religious views, occasionally making me as prejudiced as the people who I felt were
attacking me. Thankfully, these confrontations have forced me to educate myself and have made
me strong in my opinions. While my religious and political views have often been heavily related,
they have evolved heavily over time as I matured and learned about the world.
Originally, I was raised to be a Christian. My parents were not strict church goers, but the concept
of God was certainly prevalent in my life. Being raised outside of a church community allowed me
the ability to formulate my own opinions on religion. My father wanted this experience for me. He
was baptized Catholic as a baby, but with age realized he did not agree with the traditions of the
Catholic Church. This experience influenced him to allow me to be able to choose how I wanted to
be baptized.
Due to this, I settled for a Tom T. Hall Me and Jesus Have Our Own Thing Going mentality until I
was a teenager. Instead I was governed by principles such as honesty, charity, respect, and loyalty. I

Robert Frost Poems Analysis
Robert Frost is a poet who is known for writing simple stories that contains deeper meanings
about life. In The Road Not Taken and Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening both depict
measuring life s decisions as a piece of the account. These poems signify a journey, where one
must choose between two paths in life. In both poems, the speakers reach a point of uncertainty
in their journeys. Although both stories have similar aspects in life decisions, there are some
differences. These differences are based on impulses. We can deduce this based on how each
speaker reacted to their decisions in the path they take in life. The following shows how decisions
can affect a person s viewpoint. In Stopping by Woodson a Snowy Evening the speakeris on a
journey in a snowy environment. He has doubts due to being in a secluded place, a place that s
far away from civilization. He stops to enjoy the beauty and the serenity of the snow falling in
the woods. He describes the woods as gradually fill up with snow (Line 4). He s confused as to
why he is so far away from any houses: To stop without a farmhouse near (Line 6). This allows
him to capture an image and embrace the beauty of the snow falling. He even describes how the
wind is easy and he is aware of everything around him. (Frost 89). Although he is enjoying the
moment the speaker knows he must come to a decision and move on. This shows that the speaker
knows that although he can enjoy the moment, he has to continue with his life The woods are
lovely...but I have promises to keep (Line 13 14).
In the poem, The Road Not Taken , the speaker must decide the path he is taking. This poem is
about a person who comes to a road, and which path he must take. As the speaker contemplate his
decisions, he knows he must make a the road a good one. So, he should choose wisely in making

A1. Reconnaissance
The Initial phase in cyberattack is reconnaissance. In reconnaissance phase, attackers gather
information about target s vulnerabilities which can be exploited further.
Reconnaissance are of two types:
1.Active Reconnaissance
Active reconnaissance is the information collection process in which attacker gains access to the
target system and performs port scans or check ways to go around the firewalls and routers. Since
in an active reconnaissance attacker must enter or probe the target s network, there is a possibility
that target might get information about attacker like attacker s IP address. (Mike Chapple, 2014)
2.Passive Reconnaissance
Passive reconnaissance is the process of information collection in which attacker is in passive mode
and target will not know about attacker. It generally involves research about target by using open
source information gathering tools like Google. (Czumak,2014)
In Western power grid attack, APT was well organized. They used both active and passive
reconnaissance methods to gather information. We have found the traces of attackers IP in the
network logs provided by Intelligence services. This tells us that attackers had used Active

Informative Essay About Ice Hockey
Ice hockey is more than just a game. To be in ice hockey you need to be a family not just a team.
You need to work and train harder than everyone thinks. Especially if you re an olympic player.
You also need to focus on the team not just yourself since it is a team sport. Hockey is judged
and doubted, everyone assumes it is a lot easier than it looks. You have to be skating as fast as
you can on slippery ice on thin blades, while you are wearing extra gear to protect you and
holding a stick focusing on getting a small puck into a net. You have to worry about other people
trying to get the puck and getting around the goalie. This is the story of ice hockey. Ice hockey is a
fast moving and exciting team sport. It is also the oldest ball game... Show more content on

The things that throws many people of about them is that they are twins! You also have to think
about how not many sisters play on olympic teams together let alone these twins, but it is easy
enough seen when these twin sisters are headed off to other countries to do what they love to
do. These sisters will be at Pyeongchang for the 2018 olympic games. Jocelyne states that, When
we get the opportunity to be on the ice together, there s a chemistry that just never goes away,
also said by Jocelyne, It s always there. So whenever we have an opportunity to have a couple
shifts together or if we re ever put on a unit or line together, it s always there. And we ve pushed
each other every day whether it s workouts, during on ice training, it s just that accountability that
we ve always had growing up. Another thing that is changing is rules and how things are done from
NHL to olympic teams and games.(http://www.nbcolympics.com)
In olympic hockey games, if you tie, you go into a ten minute playoff game. If you are still tied
after those ten minutes, you go into a sudden death shootout. If it is still tied after three shootouts,
the team then can pick their shooters. Olympic hockey games allow 20 skaters and two goalies
on each team. Also if a penalty is called the coach gets to pick the player that shoots the shot. If
you start a fight in olympic ice hockey you will not just be

One of the greatest painter that can reflect the lives of the Mexican people is Diego Rivera. In one of the paintings, Frozen Assets, Diego Rivera visited New York during the Great Depressiondepicting the people and city in his paintings with colors with the meaning behind it. Since the color is a big thing in paintings, the color gray that Diego Rivera paint on Frozen Assets, probably represent the people facing in the Great Depression. The first two panels have the color gray because people were suffering and not enough money and the last panel, it has more light and have these bright colors. First, the first panel, the skyscrapers were there when Diego Rivera arrived to New York, perhaps symbolizing that the unfinished city is frozen in time. The primary reason was to attract employees because of the shortage that World War two which created less available employees in the workforce industry. Another cause leading to benefits growth is the ability of companies with a large number of employees to purchase insurance at a lower cost than individual insurance. The government mandates US companies operating in US to offer obligatory benefits such as Social Security retirement benefits, workers compensation and unemployment insurance. The US health care reform was introduced initially during Harry Truman s administration, and it was concentrated on the issues of coverage rather than the costs and the consequences. • 4. Lulu Ullali Bevay Summary Lulu Ulali Bevay was 36 years old when her standard Western doctor had prescribed her pharmaceutical medicine. Rather than filling her prescription, Lulu had turned to her traditional medical beliefs and sought relief through her Cherokee roots. In accordance with her native beliefs, removing all negative energies will consequently make her healthy. Therefore, she believed natural remedies were the answer to her ailments, leading her to go through a Cherokee purification ceremony. In comparison to Western medicine, natural remedies are a common practice among Native Americans; though with hundreds of native tribes currently residing in the United States, beliefs, customs, and overall subcultures vary in many ways. Nevertheless, certain traditions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Adding to the conversation, academic scholar Daniel Carlock notes, health disparities between Native Americans and the general population of the United States are a major health concern (Carlock, Danielle). Hence, an inherent culturally based issue arises where natives are disregarding modern medicine and Western medical practices and instead turning to a traditional holistic approach. Alternative to standard science being the leading factor towards understanding illness and medicine, a cultural barrier divides indigenous peoples perception of the effectiveness of Western science in regards to traditional beliefs. This creates much difficulty for the U.S. government agency the Indian Health Service providing health care and assistance to federally recognized tribes and indigenous peoples. Commenting on Native American health discrepancies, professor James E. Cheek finds the infectious disease rate in Native Americans populations was significantly higher than that of Whites (Cheek, James E). This connects Native American cultural beliefs to an increase in medical disparities in relationship to following standard Western medical practices. With tradition ingrained in Native American culture, indigenous medical practices fail to focus on pathology and curing the disease, instead restoring balance between one s mind, body, and spirit is the focus of natives. Consequently, this is leading to standard Western medical practices and medicine being disregarded because Western culture in terms of medicine has been seen to impede important native spirituality beliefs. The rates for the top ten underlying causes of death were significantly higher for Native American persons than those for whites (Cheek, James E). • 8. The Impact Of Hate Crimes In America Over the years, America has been prone to this violent act of hate crime that puts its citizens in a situation of distressed and confusion. Hate crimes have been a part of America s history and culture for decades. Because America is a diverse country, the level of hate crimes is outrageous in many different levels due to different cultures, ethnicities, skin colors, and religions. Hate crimeis a serious act and has influenced our society today to look at certain people a different way. It is not an act that people are born with rather than they are taught by it or it was inherited within a particular social group. With the election of President Trump in 2016, hate crimeactivities have really increased in just a year s matter. President Donald Trump plays a role in really highlighting these hate crimesand almost making it seem like he is promoting hate crimes though many of his speeches and statements. Of the many factors that contribute to the highly increasing hate crime activities, there are four factors that I believe are contributing to the increasing hate crime activities. Those four factors are thrill seeking, retaliation, mission offenders, and the income inequality. These factors all have a part into why hate crime activities are increasing over the year. There are many different hate crimes in America. Hate crimes are considered as criminal offenses and depending on which state this criminal offense has been committed, they have their own laws to rule over it. According to Jack Leven and Jack McDevitt, in their article Hate Crimes, they explained, ..the vast majority of hate crime laws do not criminalize any new behavior; instead, they increase the penalty for behaviors that are already against the law (Leven McDevitt, 2011). This is something that has been reviewed and updated over the years. As many new behaviors to hate crime activity surface, those crimes will eventually fall under some old laws but the penalty of it will eventually increase. This hate crime activity includes any acts that involve with any negative attitudes or prejudice toward anyone because of their race, religion, ethnicity, or gender. It often leads to people being bias and showing a tremendous amount of hatred ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Romanticism, as the era was known, shifted the focus from rational viewpoints to a feel of expressing ...freedom and revolution in their art and politics (Poets). In effect, individuality began to take root in writing, an ideal not employed during the reign of Classicalism. William Wordsworth, one of the numerous promulgators of this era, had set the stage, writing over the complexity and nature of the world around him. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a matter of personal opinion, this poem seems peculiar with its prophetic undertones. To explain, a social divide like the one that is depicted by Wordsworth has been taking place in the United Kingdom. Brexit , a referendum to leave the European Union that passed during the summer of 2016, mimics the nationalistic fervor that is exhibited in the poem, especially in phrasing such as ...raise us up, return to us again... (Meyer 703). In addition, one can infer that since older generations of voters swayed the decision, they too have a longing for a revived golden age, much like the plea that Wordsworth has towards the likes of John Milton, who was before Wordsworth time. Of course, this notable poem could not only be directed to the United Kingdom, but across the world as well. Across the many systems of governments, an ideological shift towards the right on the political spectrum has offered growth in terms of their own nation being the first of concern, and the rest of the world second. Such a shift tries to revive the golden age that Wordsworth has longed desired. In essence, the poem exhibits a striking resemblance to the world s current ideological shift. William Wordsworth, living from 1770 1850, was renowned in his establishment of Romanticism, with most of his works being shaped by his experiences. The And Political Foundation For Lay Participation The historic and political foundation for lay participation in criminal jury trials is that it offers an important check on judicial and political power exercised exclusively by the government. The jury s role as a popular body for oversight of government becomes especially important when individual citizens or groups have been accused of committing serious crimes against their own government. After the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and the passage of the 2001 Patriot Act in the United States and similar anti terrorismmeasures imposed in other nations in the world, serious terrorism charges have been brought against their citizens, political dissidents, and civic activists. Christianity Dominates American Society And Children Essay Christianity dominates American society, and due to this any sort of religious rebellion is automatically seen as hearsay and blasphemy that poisons our society and children. While in the college setting we try to be more open to other ideas, people still look down on alternate religions as the wrong way. As for the Satanist church, they re seen as downright evil, certainly a popular misconception in our culture. When LaVey started the Temple of Satan in the 1960 s, he was poking fun at our uptight Christian society (Urban, 170.) Modern LaVey Satanism is a mixture between serious ritual and satire, resulting in a strange community and an even more passionate following. Throughout our class, we have been learning about what makes a religiona religion, the people involved, and the culture that relates to its very core. Satanism as a whole is partially religious, and partially atheist. Nevertheless, this community is fighting for representation in the media, in schools, and in the community as much as the next religion. Satanism is pushing against the dominant religion, and in doing so, opening the floodgates for itself as well as other religious groups for their right to religious freedoms in the United States. Our moon is believed to have been created about 4.5 billion years ago, when a large planetoid crashed into the Earth, spraying space debris which was gradually captured by gravity 2. Eventually, this material solidified into a body which we know as our moon. 3. This process is unique in our solar system as the other planet s moons were formed by capturing free floating bodies with their gravity 3. Physical Characteristics of the Moon Earth s moon is the brightest object in our night sky. It has an elliptical orbit around the earth every 27.322 days and it also takes approximately ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The gravitational force of the moon is strong enough to exert a pulling force on the Earth, but the Earth is able to hold on to everything except the water 7. As the water is in constant motion the moon gravity is able to create a pull on the water, causing it to bulge resulting in high tide 7. As the Moon and the earth are moving with respect to each other, the force creating high tide also moves over different parts of the earth. Each day, there are two high tides and two low tides, with about 12 hours and 25 minutes between the two high tides 7. However, these periods do not happen at the same time each day because the moon takes about 50 minutes more than earth s 24 hour day to exactly align again with the same point on the Earth. Therefore, the timing of high tides is staggered throughout the month, with each tide occurring approximately 24 hours and 50 minutes later than the previous one 6. It is also observed that the water on the opposite side of Earth which faces away from the Moon also experiences high tide 6. The reason is that the stronger centrifugal force pulls in the opposite direction to negate the moon s gravitational pull on the earth to keep them apart and thus causes the ocean water on the opposite side of the Earth to bulge and experience high tide ... Also to achieve many of these goals it is very helpful not to participate in delinquent behavior because it is looked upon negatively and could hinder the achievement of the goals. The third element in Hirschi bond to society is involvement. Involvement in this theory is simply the level of participation an individual actively pursues in conventional activities. Some of the activities this could include are social events, sports teams, school clubs, religious organizations, family events, or simply a job. These types of activities keep people busy and provide less time to participate or get caught up in delinquent behavior. This is especially the case for adolescents as they are highly influenced by peers who may not lead them to the best choices on how to spend their time, which could lead to deviant behavior (Simons, Simons, amp; Wallace, 2004, p. 21). The Importance Of Environmental Problems On The Environment With as many environmental problems that plague the world today, they all fall within three different aspects of everyday life: political systems, economic systems, and material structures and resources. The following theories conceptualize the root of environmental problems in these different areas of society but are able to offer solutions independent of each other. In the selections of From Welfare State to Ecostate, James Meadowcraft suggests that the key to solving environmental problems lies within political systems and that we must rebuild those systems so that the environmentwill be considered in every decision that gets made. Anthony Weston, in his book Mobilizing the Green Imagination, feels that environmental problems lie in economic systems and that the solution would be to revamp how products are made and distributed to limit the impact that production has on the environment. Finally, in Techno Fix Michael and Joyce Huesemann see environmental problems stemming from material structures and resources and that the way to combat problems in this aspect is to reinvent technology that is sustainable, rather than having society function on resources that are unsustainable (fossil fuels, for example). To begin with, James Meadowcraft s solution can best be described as reshaping political systems to be more ecologically conscious states. The first amendment grants all Americans the freedom to subscribe to any religion they wish and promises that the government will not promote any religion above any other. Although the separation of church and state and the freedom of religion are firmly and concretely secured in the Constitution of the United States, events in the recent past bring to question whether this ideal is under threat of losing its place as an American standard. It is important to choose a battle wisely to not take away from future battle and maintain importance on the battles deserving of a fight. One such battle that is deserving of attention is the battle of prayer in school or the moment of silence as a clever euphemism. To publicly bring attention to students with different beliefs is clearly a violation of the ideals of our fore fathers. Not only does the moment of silence bring sensitive differences to light but clearly presses on the issues of religion and possibly alienates religious minorities. Another such recent test to the separation of church and state was President Bush s public definition of marriage and attack on homosexual relationships. Under the code of unethical, Mr. Bush attempted to ban the union of two same sex members from joining as married. Although no Biblical scripture has been presented as support for the proposed constitutional amendment, the disagreement with same sex marriage can primarily be found in the religious fields or in area s traditionally known as religiously dominant areas. Marriage is both an emotional as well as contractual union of individuals. To prevent the union should require the backing of evidence that appeals to more than the fickle nature of the public. • 29. Analysis Of The Book The Hobbit The Hobbit, a novel by J.R.R Tolkien, was a prequel to The Lord of the Rings series. The Hobbit is also an adventure story that follows the classic, hero s journey. The protagonist of the novel, Bilbo, is much like the European explorers in the Age of Exploration during the 15th Century. For example, Christopher Columbus was widely regarded as a hero during his time. Columbus was a Spanish explorer that is known for discovering the Americas. In 1492, Columbus set sail west in hopes of discovering a new route to the Indies, instead he found America. Like Bilbo, Columbus was an ordinary person who went on an adventure, faced challenges, and in the end, became a hero. Previously, a hero s journey was mentioned. The pattern that heroes go through in their journey was discovered by writer Joseph Campbell. Campbell studied many adventure stories and noticed a pattern that all of the heroes went through. He said that the journey they take happens in seven phases. These stages take the hero out of the environment they are in, give them conflicts, make them face a big challenge, sends them home, and finally the hero shares their gift to their society. This cycle is demonstrated in many adventure stories and movies. In fact, many authors study Campbell s work when they are writing stories. Bilbo goes through this hero s journey and this is shown when he goes through stage one and two, four, and five. First, Bilbo goes through stage one and two of the hero s journey. Stage one and ... Securing Healthcare Networks Against Cyber Attacks Essay Securing Healthcare Networks against Cyber Attacks Abstract: In the current era of digitization, with all the data being converted from paper to electronic records, even the healthcare industry has become so dependent on technology. As hospitals are adopting electronic means for data storage, medical results, transactions and billing, utmost care is to be taken to protect a patient s personal privacy by protecting their electronic health records, which is only possible by enhancing the security and privacy of the hospital s network. This paper proposes certain security mechanisms for a more controlled and safer access to the healthcare provider s network, thus being aware of every device trying to access the network and making sure only authorized devices are able to connect, with the help of measures such as, intrusion detection systems to continuously monitor the network, firewalls to ensure endpoint devices comply with security policies and biometrics for identity based network access control. 1. Introduction Numerous health care industries have been victims of cyber attacks. Such attacks occur when an isolated device transfers the stored medical data to the hospital s network, which could possibly takeover the entire network of the hospital and intercept data exchange between the patient and the healthcare center. For instance, wearable devices such as the (insulin) diabetes kit that determines the exact amount to be discharged into the patient s blood, based on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

If the family does not meet this need, they tend to attach themselves to another social group, usually to a group of friends. Unfortunately, without these close ties to their families, some teens will attach themselves to a group of delinquents and adopt a gang lifestyle. In her novel The Outsiders, S.E. Hinton illustrates how Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally s dysfunctional family situations led them to attach themselves to the Greasers while demonstrating how these choices resulted in tragic consequences. After the death of his parents, Darry ineptly takes on the responsibility of raising his brothers, yet Ponyboy Curtis does not understand why he is so hard on him. Soda attempts to convince Ponyboy that Darry loves him, but Ponyboy simply thinks Darry thought I was just another mouth to feed and somebody to holler at. Darry love me? (1 paragraph) I would alter the project by using the formula of VO2max=15x(HRmax/HRrest), and have each participant perform a VO2Max test, by using the metabolic cart. I would then compare the results from the metabolic cart and the VO2 equation, and them compare the results for comparison. I would make this change, because our group had to alter the formula of VO2max=15x(HRmax /HRrest), in order to perform a submaximal test. What we did was calculated the max heart rate, and multiplied that value by 85% of VO2 which would be considered a submaximal test. I would have liked to have seen the comparison to the equation and the metabolic cart, to see if there was an increase or decrease in the values of each of the measurements of maximal oxygen consumption. This would be interesting to analyze, because the population will not always have a metabolic cart around to measure VO2. If the equation showed similar values to the metabolic cart, the equation would be a good tool to use for estimation if the metabolic cart was not available. 3.For your project, were the test procedures provided in the Metabolic Cart/VO2 Testing lecture followed? • 41. Robert Frost Poems Analysis Robert Frost is a poet who is known for writing simple stories that contains deeper meanings about life. In The Road Not Taken and Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening both depict measuring life s decisions as a piece of the account. These poems signify a journey, where one must choose between two paths in life. In both poems, the speakers reach a point of uncertainty in their journeys. Although both stories have similar aspects in life decisions, there are some differences. These differences are based on impulses. We can deduce this based on how each speaker reacted to their decisions in the path they take in life. The following shows how decisions can affect a person s viewpoint. In Stopping by Woodson a Snowy Evening the speakeris on a journey in a snowy environment. He has doubts due to being in a secluded place, a place that s far away from civilization. He stops to enjoy the beauty and the serenity of the snow falling in the woods. He describes the woods as gradually fill up with snow (Line 4). He s confused as to why he is so far away from any houses: To stop without a farmhouse near (Line 6). This allows him to capture an image and embrace the beauty of the snow falling. He even describes how the wind is easy and he is aware of everything around him. (Frost 89). Although he is enjoying the moment the speaker knows he must come to a decision and move on. This shows that the speaker knows that although he can enjoy the moment, he has to continue with his life The woods are lovely...but I have promises to keep (Line 13 14). In the poem, The Road Not Taken , the speaker must decide the path he is taking. This poem is about a person who comes to a road, and which path he must take.
