The Tea Party, An Uprising Movement
The Tea Party, an uprising movement, with specific beliefs have made a major political breakthrough
in this year due to strategic framing usages and resources. Their framing usages strongly conveys their
social and economical perspective and ideology through an extremist and phenomenological
approach. Their framing activities influences generalized belief, collective behavior, irrational
behavior, experiential commensurability, and specific grievances among the supporters. The
supporters are mainly consisted of a particular socioeconomic status while their leaders are mainly
elites of politicians and businessmen with an endless right winged network. Concerns of the Tea Party
slowly replacing the Republican Party has been expressed and it ... Show more content on

With that, the Tea Party still frames itself to be a grassroot movement. A grassroot movement, by
definition, means an organization supported by ordinary people with a non hierarchal foundation
(Merriam Webster s online dictionary n.d). The re definition of grassroot then fabricated the belief that
the Tea Party is a pure organization, but in actuality, it is not what it seems to be. It is rather an
astroturf movement. This re defining tactic is one of the few framing activities that the Tea Party uses
to advance their mobilization potential. The framing and counter framing activities that the Tea Party
has been religiously practicing includes: master framing, cultural resonance, empirical credibility, and
salience. The effects of these framing notions advances toward an acceptance or a rejection, but for
this movement, it strives for public acceptance and admittance for their reformist beliefs and ideology.
These activities are the essential elements to carry through the movement s political agenda. Master
framing is a type of frame with an extensive appeal and it can influence biased social constructivism.
The Tea Party uses this type of framing to identify their perspective of the problem. They believe that
the government has poor handling with public services such as healthcare and there is too much much
public taxing. One of their main concerns is the ObamaCare, officially known as the Affordability
Care Act, which is phrased as a hideous

Columbia Space Shuttle Program
It launched for the first time on mission STS 1 on April 12, 1981, the first flight of the Space Shuttle
program. Over 22 years of service it completed 27 missions before disintegrating during re entry near
the end of its 28th mission, STS 107 on February 1, 2003, resulting in the deaths of all seven crew
members.
History: Columbia was named after the American sloop Columbia Rediviva which, from 1787 to
1793, under the command of Captain Robert Gray, explored the US Pacific Northwest and became the
first American vessel to circumnavigate the globe. It is also named after the Command Module of
Apollo 11, the first manned landing on another celestial body. Columbia was also the female symbol
of the United States. After construction, the orbiter arrived at Kennedy Space Center on March 25,
1979, to prepare for its first launch. Columbia was originally scheduled to lift off in late 1979,

Benefits Of Intermediate Corrections
Intermediate sanctions have been a valuable aspect in the court systems. In my opinion, I believe they
have made a difference in the court process because these programs offer an alternative outcome to the
defendant s criminal case. I believe the reason it hasn t made the impact aspired by legislators is due to
sentencing issues judges face from advocates of deserved punishment believers and the fact that
handing down alternative sentences to people with different outcomes could lead to people accusing
the courts of not being equal when sentencing individuals to jail time or probation. The sanction that I
believe could be most effective would have to be community service and restitution because what
better way to punish a person than to make them actually pay for their ... Show more content on

I believe that if a person can see the harm their actions have caused towards the victim at least
nonviolent offenders, and be forced to pay restitutions to both the victim and the court, then quite
possibly it could make the individual not want to repeat their criminal actions. Other countries such as
Germany, England, Sweden and most other European countries have already taken this form of
punishment into effect leading to less of a financial burden on its citizens. In addition to community
service and restitution, I have come to the conclusion that the best form of intermediate sanctions for
juveniles would be boot camp. Juvenile offenders often lack the adult figure in their lives and tend to
repeat the bad behavior they have witnessed throughout their lives and boot camp can give them that
sense of belonging and form of discipline they so

Harriet Jacobs And Sexual Harassment
Harriet Jacobs and Sexual Harassment The impact of sexual harassment can take many shapes in its
victims and oftens varies based on the duration of the treatment and the circumstances surrounding the
abuse. In Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, author Harriet Jacobs, under the pseudonym, Linda

Through years of alienation and unyielding persistence of her master, Linda finds herself living a
nightmare. She must make heart wrenching decisions to protect herself against the serious danger of a

Ancient Civilizations Of Mesopotamia And Mesopotamia
Sumerian (3500 2300BC) Babylonian (1792 1750 BC) both belong to civilizations of Mesopotamia,
but they existed different period. The ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia are the source of the
earliest surviving art; these civilizations were situated between the Tigris and the Euphrates Rivers.
Dating back to 3500 B.C.E., Mesopotamian art was intended to serve as a way to glorify powerful
rulers and their connection to divinity. Art was made from natural resources such as stone, shells,
alabaster and marble, and was often created as didactic pieces. No artist signatures can be found on
most of the work, because the pieces were meant to embody the subject matter, rather than the creator.
Popular items that typify this time period include cylindrical seals, steles, narrative relief sculptures,
and lavishly decorated tombs. More than 4,000 years ago the valleys of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers
began to teem with life first the Sumerian, then the Babylonian, Assyrian, Chaldean, and Persian
empires. Here too excavations have unearthed evidence of great skill and artistry. Examples of fine
works in marble, diorite, hammered gold, and lapis lazuliahve been found. Stone, wood, and metal
was imported. Sumerian art and architecture was ornate and complex primarily used for religious
purposes painting and sculpture the main median used. Of the many portraits produced in this area,
some of the best are those of Gudea, ruler of Lagash. Some of the portraits are in marble,

My Personal Change Reflection
Micheal jackson said it best when he sang about changing the man in the mirror . During these past
twenty days I have participated in a personal change challenge. What my fellow classmates and I were
instructed to do was to add, delete or change something about our lives for twenty days and record our
findings in a personal journal. I decided that the change I needed in my life was motivation and
positivity. So each morning of the challenge, I started out with a motivational video. These videos was
suppose to make me happier, more productive and boost my mental health. However , here are the
results I recorded throughout this twenty day challenge. While I cannot remember who the speaker
was, I do remember that I was more offended than motivated. The video questioned my reasoning for
existing and asked what my purpose was in this world. Had I even began to leave my mark on this
Earth? I quickly started questioning everything I have ever done. However, after discussing the video
the topic with a few, well know teachers, I slowly found the motivation in the video and began to be
excited about the next nineteen days still yet to come. This excitement however, was short lived. Half
way through the challenge , I was ready to give up. As first the videos were motivational and i was
increasing being more productive throughout my day but as the days wore on the videos seemed to
only be repeating each other, one after another, each speaker saying the same exact words as

valid feel of the setting. In the film, the structures all seem as though they are from the Middle East,
shrouded in dried mud, and is demonstrated within many scenes which gives the possibility of a nation

The Importance Of Zoos In The Conservation Of Animals
Zoos and aquariums are some of the best places for you and your family to get connected to nature
and become engaged in conservation action ( Society ). Zoos are essential in growing public
awareness of nature. Recently, zoos have faced controversies from animal activists. Many believe
animals are restrained of their rights. Furthermore, individuals believe it is wrong to display animals
for entertainment which is unethical and unnecessary. However, such perception is only one of many
aspects. On the contrary, zoos play an irreplaceable role in species conservation. Today, there are
plethora of zoos around the globe. Zoos are beneficial to the world because they are critical to
conservation.
Zoos play an important role in the conservation of animals in the wild, mostly endangered or exotic
species. Zoos provide benefits for these animals in various ways.
They will not suffer from the threat or stress of predators (and nor will they be killed in a grisly
manner or eaten alive) or the irritation and pain of parasites, injuries and illnesses will be treated, they
won t suffer or die through drought or starvation and indeed will get a varied and high quality diet
with all the supplements required. (Hone).
Hone points to potential benefits zoos may provide for these animals. By eliminating the risk of
sickness, starvation, and predators endangered and exotic species, not only limited to them but any
animal, are able to thrive. Zoos also play a role in breeding species. The

Summary and Explanation of Proposals
In order for ZXY Inc. to make sure that their entire organization is secure, some proposals have been
put into place to protect the company. The company needs to make sure that the network, their
employee s, company devices, and communications are secure from the outside world. The proposals
that have been put into place cover such areas as: access control methods, authentication, user s
accounts and passwords, cryptography, remote access, network attack mitigation, malware and device

Access control is used in determining whether or not to grant or deny access to these resources or
services to an employee, group of employees or to an entire department. There are four commonly
used types of access control methods; however for a smaller company without many employees at this
point in time Discretionary Access Control (DAC) would be good starting point for ZXY Inc.
Discretionary access control allows the owner of the service or resource to determine who is granted
and who is denied access to certain resources. The owner of each resource and service will be given
full authority on granting and denying permissions over what they have ownership of. ZXY Inc. does
need to make sure that it does not make just one employee the owner of every resource and service.
This is done in order to make sure that one potential bad employee doesn t harm the entire company s
information security network with malicious acts. In regards to user accounts and passwords, a few
steps should be taken in order to safeguard company information and protect company data. Each
individual employee should be given a unique username that will be used as part of the employee s
network log on. Each unique username will then be used by the IT department and DAC owner s in
order to grant and/or deny permission s. By having unique user names for each employee, the owners

An Analysis Of Everyday Ambassador, By Kate Otto
First and foremost, the novel Everyday Ambassador, by Kate Otto, opens the eyes of many, and makes
people realise that there are four simple values they can add into their everyday lives to make a
difference. By adding these values into your life you could make a difference for not only yourself but
for your neighbors, community, and maybe even the world. An everyday ambassador has to have
focus, empathy, humility, and patience. By realizing you want to make a change you are already on the
journey to becoming an everyday ambassador.
First, one value that you should take a look into adding into your life is focus. Focus is when you have
your interest and attention on one certain object or task. By allowing focus into your everyday habits
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Third, another value needed to be on the path to be an everyday ambassador is humility. Humility is
knowing we are important and equal to everybody else around us no matter what age, skin color, or
religion they have. We should not have to wake up everyday and get likes on social media to feel
important. We shouldn t compare our lives to others and put people down because they are different
than us. Having humility allows you to realize that it is okay to not be an expert at everything and
know that sometimes you can t contribute as much as others. But knowing that, allows you to find
aspects of your life where you can help and make a difference. You should be putting yourself into
situations where you can help change the world even if it is one small step at a time. By doing this you
can become an everyday ambassador.
Lastly, the fourth and final value you need to have to become an everyday ambassador is patience.
Patience is the ability to overcome annoyance when confronted with some kind of delay of results.
This has become a very distinct problem with people as we have every answer we could ever want at
our fingertips. By having patience in your life and letting yourself know that results could take a while
puts you on the path to becoming an everyday ambassador. You need to know, especially if you want
to help change people s lives or change the world, that seeing results could take a very long time.
However, if you do have the patience

Similarities And Differences Between Yanomamo And Samoan...
Different cultures have different ways of experiencing aspects of their culture. There are many
similarities and differences between the Yanomamo and Samoan peoples. Cultural differences and
similarities need to be paid attention to. Also, the similarities need to be celebrated. The Samoans and
Yanomamo have different and similar subsistence methods, division of labor, occupational
specialization, exchange of goods, and the economic link to power. The differences and similarities
between the Yanomamo and Samoan peoples are striking and deserve thorough examination.
The first aspect of Samoan and Yanomamo life that is different is subsistence methods. The
Yanomamo have different forms of subsistence than the Samoans. The Samoans mainly rely on
agriculture. According to Peters=Golden, clearing the land for planting is hard work. (Peters Golden
225) The Samoans use cutting tools like axes and knives get rid of trees and bushes and other foliage.
The Samoans also use small fires to eliminate everything else. Peters Golden writes that digging sticks
are then employed to dislodge rocks and loosen the soil for planting. (Peters Golden 225) Similarly to
the Samoans, the Yanomamo also rely on agriculture. However, they also utilize foraging, unlike the
Samoans. The Yanomamo also hunt, and, similarly to the Samoans, they fish. (Peters Golden 226,
271) Despite that, Peters Golden says that the bulk of Yanomamo food (more than 80 percent) is
grown in their village gardens.

The Restoration Of Glacial Park
When we arrived at Glacial Park, it was oppressively hot, and it stayed so throughout the day. We
were ushered into the visitor center where we met Dr. Tom Simpson, the research field station
ecologist. He gave an introductory lecture on restoration ecology in general, alluding to the
foundational UW Madison Arboretum Project, and laying out challenges within the field. He
specifically pointed to how restoration projects can never be truly finished and how projects often
work to restore historical landscapes that are long gone. Then, he asked us to consider, in the face of
these challenges, whether ecological restoration is even worth the effort. With that question hanging
over our heads, we went into the field. Our task was two fold; we ... Show more content on

Our next activity, following lunch, was a nature walk through the park. Although the sun beat down
with a vengeance, we braved the heat in the name of knowledge. Dr. Simpson led us to a beautifully
restored oak savanna. After farmers had cleared the landscape for agriculture, MCCD has worked to
restore the area to an oak savanna, the historic ecosystem. Dr. Simpson said that there were more oaks
in the restored area than the reference ecosystem probably had. I was very impressed by the project as
there were massive oaks and a relatively good diversity of prairie grasses and shrubs beneath them.
However, Dr. Simpson asked us what was wrong with the restored system. Bewildered, the group was
unable to answer him. He revealed that there was a lack of small oaks. Although there were plenty of
established trees, the landscape was missing saplings, which is problematic for the future of this
ecosystem. Dr. Simpson said he would tell us later why he thought this was so, but, as we ran out of
time, Dr. Ohsowski eventually informed us that rodents were preventing oak saplings from growing.
Our walk continued through the park. We stopped and examined different exotic invasive species, like
multiflora rose and European buckthorn. Dr. Simpson explained how multiflora rose was brought to
the United States to be used as erosion control. This harkened back to the original dilemma he posed.

Risk Arbitrage Case

1. BACKGROUND
Risk Arbitrage is essentially just arbitrage with some element of risk. Three main types of risk
arbitrage are merger and acquisition arbitrage (also known as just merger arbitrage), liquidation
arbitrage, and pairs trading. We will focus on merger arbitrage, as it pertains to this case study. Merger
arbitrage is an investment strategy that chooses to capitalize upon arbitrage that presents when a
merger or acquisition deal is announced. Essentially, an arbitrageur is seeking to profit from the
movements of the acquirer s and or target s stock price from the merger. There are two main types of
mergers, a cash merger and a stock merger, which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Another option Chris could take would be to buy Alza put options maturing December 18th at $3.25 a

Understanding The Application Of Emotional Intelligence

Understanding the Application of Emotional Intelligence In Negotiations
The art of negotiation has many factors which can determine the outcome of win, lose, compromise,
or in some instances where the negotiation ends in a standstill. One of the more influential factors that
can determine an outcome of any negotiation is emotional intelligence. We can expect that with every
faucet that goes into negotiation, emotional intelligence ranks higher than most techniques, because it
creates an unquantifiable link between the negotiating parties.
Emotional Intelligence (EI) has been around for over a decade, however, it is still being developed in
the business sector of negotiation. It is recognized by senior and upper level ... Show more content on

If we exert negative emotions such as anger, irritability, impatience, and sadness we leave ourselves
open to manipulation, and create communication barriers that did not exist prior to our outbursts.
Spontaneous reactions or negative emotions such as blushing, embarrassment, aggressiveness, or
retaliation can reveal or true intentions or our primary goals and objectives. This makes us vulnerable
and the other issue can obtain concessions that weren t originally available. (Lewicki, Saunders, Barry,
Negotiation Reading and Exercises 6th Ed. 2009) EI comes into play to help avoid these situations,
and to keep us calm and level headed.
Godemans, basic premise on emotional intelligence is taken from Do Purchasing Professionals Need
Emotional Intelligence? (2002) Godeman introduces EI under the premise of Emotional Quotient
(EQ), it gauges the individual s perceptions and attributes which define EI. In a sense, it s a
benchmark, a measurement of their EI in relation to others. Godeman states these elements as The
Seven Pillars to EI. These elements are defined by: Self Awareness, the ability to recognize your own
feelings. Motivation is the drive and energy to achieve the results for both long and short term goals.
Interpersonal Sensitivity, the ability to be aware of the needs and feelings of others, this can impact a
negotiation as a loss or win. Intuition: the ability to use insight and interaction to arrive at and

My Lesson Sequence Using Venn Diagrams And Composition
I assess prior knowledge throughout my lesson sequence using a variety of ways. Before beginning
the learning segment, I will look at students prior work on comparing and contrasting to see where
each student is at in regards to their level of understanding. I found that while some students had a
good understanding of the strategy, there were still many students that could use a thorough
introduction to the concept. This allowed for me to begin planning ways to differentiate my instruction
to include the higher students and the lower students. I crafted the Central Focus students practice
compare and contrast by using Venn Diagrams and composing a paragraph that includes an
introductory sentence, two three details about how the two things are alike and different, and a
concluding sentence, to encompass requisite skills for my learning segment. The learning targets for
lesson 1,2, and 3, also address questions related to knowledge and skills aligned with the Central
Focus that support student learning. To reach the learning objective for lesson one, students practice
with me and with a pre assigned partner before doing anything by themselves. To provide additional
support to students with literacy needs and IEP/504 plans, I monitor their progress, offer guidance
with questions and different examples if needed, and give verbal cues during each lesson.
When developing the central focus for my learning segment, I ensured to use lesson activities that

Conquering Other People Is Not A Waste Of Resources And Time
There are no valid reasons for conquering other people. To conquer another is to gain control over, or
to use force against, conquering other people implies a use of force, such as to kill or to enslave. Not
only is this ethically wrong it is also costly. Conquering is a term that describes something far beyond
persuasion it is an overtaking and an exploitation of another population. It is incorrect for one group to
behave in such away as to take away or impose beliefs that take away the right of anyone to not have
the liberty to choose. In addition to the taking away of rights, this behavior can be financially
expensive and time consuming. It costs a lot of money to sail a ship to long distances, they would have
to pay for food, water, emergencies, fuel and man power. Because of all of the prior reasons,
conquering other people is a waste of resources and time. If you want someone to truly follow and live
a particular religion they must be allow the liberty and freedom to explore and choose this for
themselves. Overall to conquer another holds little validity for those with a mindset that believes in
choice and the human right of agency. Humanism was a very big key idea in the renaissance, it is the
belief that humans have intrinsic worth. Art was another main idea in the renaissance, In the

Future Choice Analysis
For these criterion, I ranked each of my alternatives accordingly. For tuition, I found that the best
choices for me based on that criteria would be either CU Boulder or Mines. Both of these schools have
generally the same tuition, and both are the lowest out of my choices. The lowest ranked choice is
MIT for this criteria, due to the fact that it is over $70,000 to attend for a tuition year. The other
choices generally ranged from $40,000 $50,000. For the criteria of the size of the campus, I found that
both Colorado School of Mines and Vanderbilt both appealed to me the most. Colorado School of
Mines has a decent campus with under 20,000 students. Vanderbilt in its whole may have many
students, but its College of Engineering is also decent in its size. The lowest rank college is Harvard.
Even though it is a private college, I feel that the size of the campus does not fit well with the small,
inclusive size that I am looking for. The other colleges vary in between with their size, and in all
honest, they are sizes that I am apathetic to. When choosing the colleges that I applied for, I
automatically only applied to the colleges that I knew had my major. In essence, I graded this criteria
based on the program that it had for my major. Based on my major, I found that Vanderbilt, Johns

tuition is still a deal breaker for me, and even though Vanderbilt is my number one choice and the
decision matrix implies me to choose Vanderbilt as well, I will end up choosing the college that gives

Contract Law From Law And Economics Perspective
b. Contract Law from Law and Economics Perspective
Voluntary exchange is of the utmost importance in being able to transfer resources from less to more
valuable uses and to the hands of those that value them the most. This process of exchange does not
face many obstacles when the parties to a transaction can perform their obligations in a simultaneous
manner. In today s world, most transfers of resources occur through contracts and require agreements
as to how, where, and at what price the transfer will occur at some time in the future. This is why
protection of contract rights is essential.
While voluntary exchange would not necessarily break down entirely without any form of contract
law, it would be highly inefficient. In a legal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If efficiency is not enforced through contract law it will bias investment toward economic activity that
can only be conducted in a short time period. This will reduce efficiency in the market and lead to
misallocation of resources.
Here is a simple example of how the lack of contract law s existence would affect how parties
interacted in the sale of goods and services. Professor Chrisman has advertised that he has a hog (not
to be confused with a pig), worth $100 to him, for sale and now has two potential purchasers. Buyer
one, Professor Todd, has offered to purchase the hog today from $150 (he is risk adverse and believes
that price of pigs is going to increase drastically over the next year). Buyer two, Professor Hesch, has
offered to purchase the hog next Saturday at graduation for $200. If Professor Chrisman lives in a
system without contract law he will accept Professor Todd s offer of $150 today because he will be
worried that Professor Hesch will change his mind before graduation and Professor Todd will have
bought another hog. The law s failure to enforce contract law has caused an inefficient misallocation
of resources because Professor Chrisman cannot enforce the promise made by Professor Hesch and
will not be incentivized to take the risk of selling the hog to him.
The single purpose and goal of all contract law is to impose contract liability only where it creates
incentives to encourage value maximizing conduct in the future.

The War On Drugs And Drugs Essay
The war on drugs have been a critical issue that has repeatedly held a great debate topic. It was in the
1906 when the first act against drug was put into effect with the Pure Food and Drug Act which
required all over the counter medication to have label of its ingredients. Under President Nixon the
first executive branch office to coordinate drug policy was formed and the Comprehensive Drug
Abuse Prevention and Control Act was put into place. Two years following that the Drug Enforcement
Agency (DEA) was formed. The funding for the war on drugs had greatly increased over the decades
and has reached the record of an annual budget of $17.8 billion which occurred in 1998. Much of the
budget is used to intervene drug flow on the U.S. border and for interdiction according to Cooper s
1993 War on Drugs article. Some people agree that having more man power at the U.S. border will
help eliminate the U.S. drug problem while others argue that even though having more people
working the border increases drug seizures there are still drugs continuing to enter the United States.
These may be the very people that believe in using the budget to provide more educational programs
to the younger generation and having prevention programs will help those that may have become a
drug user if not a addict. The last group of American do not believe either of those programs have
worked in the past and will not work in the future. With those options gone the only thing left to do it

Tire Faults
When doing a pre trip inspection on his commercial or owner operator truck, the truck driver can fall
into a routine where he quickly glances at the usual areas on his tires that he habitually checks while
not noticing other areas. For example, some drivers only look at the tread while failing to look closely
at the sidewalls for signs of bulges or bubbles. This is a mistake because this kind of tire damage is a
blowout waiting to happen. In no uncertain terms, it is not safe to drive with tire bulges or bubbles.
Change the tire on the spot if you can, otherwise get it repaired at the nearest facility.
To make matters worse, you won t get any warnings while driving because the damage is in the

But if he s paying attention, then he s aware of you because he can see the lower part of your truck and
trailer through his mirrors. This means you must exercise great care when passing a car on a multilane
road because you can t be sure if the motorist knows you re there.
However, this rule is still effective in a number of situations such as when you have the right of way at
an intersection, and another vehicle that s stopped at the cross road wants to go through the
intersection. If you can t see her face because it s blocked by the A pillar of her car, then she can t see
you. Slow down and be prepared for her to cut you off if she attempts to cross without seeing you.
Yet another application of this rule is at blind intersections. When you have the right of way and you
see the front end of a car jutting out into the intersection, but you can t see the car s windshield
because it s blocked by hedges, parked trucks, or some other obstruction, then the driver can t see you.
Again, you should slow down and proceed with caution. A similar situation is a car pulling out of a
driveway onto a busy highway. Sometimes the driver is backing out, which means he could be making
a kamikaze move because he feels he has no other

The Effects Of Social Media On The Development Of Mobile...
Social Media Media Broadcast Marketing The increase of social media and the development of mobile
technology in the last decade has been significant, which has transformed the communication
strategies and especially with sharing the experiences and how information should be marketed to the
target audience. According to Hollensen (2014), the selection of newspapers, web sites, and TV to be
used for advertising (series of actions to reach goals) needs to be done (at the same time) with the
development of the message theme. The vital question in media selection is whether to use a target or
mass approach. When a large percentage of the general public is a potential customer the mass media
approach will be most effective. The media approach should be the outcome of a careful fit of local
advertising goals, the characteristics of the target market and media attributes. Moreover, media
variety can be based on the following criteria: Reach the total number of potential customers in a
target market exposed to at least one advertisement in a specific time period. Frequency is the average
total of times within a given period, a target market audience is exposed to the same promotion.
Impact dependant on compatibility between the message from the media approach and the medium
used. When an organisation introduces a new product or enters a new market high reach is essential, in
order for the new product or service to reach the widest possible audience the reach is

Franz Joseph Haydn s Symphony No. 94 Symphony
When listening to Classical music I think of rich, precise, high quality, and pristine music that either
gives you relaxing feeling or gives you that want to dance feeling. One of my favorite composers of
this era was Franz Joseph Haydn and he incorporated both of these feelings in his arrangements.
Franz Joseph Haydn was born in 1732 in Austria. He struggled early in life and worked as a freelance
musician. He began his career singing soprano at Saint Stephen s Cathedral and later started giving
keyboard lessons, playing in street bands, and singing or playing violin and organ at three different
churches every Sunday (Wright, C. M., 2014, p.159, para. 2). In 1779, Haydn signed a contract with
Prince Nikolas and for thirty years he wrote ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
94 Surprise Symphony. The genre of this musical composition is a symphony and it consists of a three
movement minuet and trio. The piece has a stately dance feel to it with a very solid rhythm, nice
melody, and a rich full sound. It is written in ternary form and the entire minuet trio minuet forms an
ABA arrangement (Wright, C.M., 2014, p. 166). The divisions between sections of the piece are well
indicated and recognized by a change of theme, instrumentation, and volume. I really liked the way
the timpani helped accentuate the beat and help give the piece a driving tempo at times. The
woodwinds and strings also flowed well together as if telling a story. Some of the things that stuck out
to me and make this an enjoyable symphony were the rich full sound of the orchestra instruments
along with the bouncy rhythm and tempo. While listening to the arrangement I could hardly sit still,
the music just made me want to move with it. It gave me the mental image of a large stately ballroom
with numerous dancers dancing about. I also liked the way different sections of the arrangement were
easily recognized by a change in volume and

Character Analysis Of King Henry V
King Henry is one of the most successful kings of England. He brought two warring kingdoms
crashing together, and melded them into one united country. Henry is an extremely interesting and
dynamic character. From a young age he associated with criminals, drunkards, and other lowly
citizens. When his father was on his deathbed, he requested that Henry stopped being a criminal, and
begin acting like a king. Henry made that oath, and stayed true to it until his dying day.
As a king, he became a king after being a criminal. He went from a criminal prince to an upstanding
kind king who understands justice and follows the righteous path for the rest of his life. It is such a
crazy transformation; from criminal hiding crimes from the king to ... Show more content on

Directly after that event, he judges three people to death for attempting treason. Reasons like this are
the reason Henry progresses the story as the main protagonist. He is the main driving force that is
pushing the plotline forward. Every time he is in a scene he enhances it, and brings the act more color
and flare.
While Henry does adapt his ways often, he doesn t always change. One of the examples of him
sticking to old ways is how he is a religious man. Early in the story, he listens to the Archbishop, and
starts this war because of him. The Archbishop is the prophet of god, which correlates with being a
pious person. The English win the Battle of Agincourt in an astounding manner; only losing less than
30 men while the French lost 10,000 men. He decides the reason behind them winning the battle God
s will. Another example of this is his choice to end people s lives.
Henry V is a man of God, which is again shown on the eve of the Battle of Agincourt when he is
talking with his men. One of his men wishes they had more men fighting, yet Henry wishes the
opposite. If God has chosen them to lose this battle then more men would die. On the
other hand, if God had chosen them to win, extra men wouldn t be needed, so they can use those extra
men to suppress the Scottish rebellion.
Henry doesn t blame always blame the innocents for others crimes either. There is an example in
which Henry V has no quarrel with the innocent. The time arrives when

My First Obsession Is Life
I have 10 obsessions in life. I m not sure if they will ever go away. But life would be no fun without
any obsessions.
My first obsession is life. I love life and what you can do with it. I love the way people laugh at a joke
or become afraid when watching a scary movie. It amazes me how children feel most safe in their
parents arms. And how you learn so much from how other people before you had lived their life. I
think this one of my obsessions because life can be taken away in a blink of an eye. You never know
when your time is up. So enjoying every second in my eyes is how you ll have the best life possible.
My second obsession is family. I have always loved how families looked in a magazine or on TV. I
love that parents will do anything to make sure their children are loved and safe. And that families do
things together and love each other no matter what. Parents that play outside with the kids and go to
games and concerts. When a child gets hurt, there is a parent there to pick them up. I think this is one
of my obsessions because my mom had me taken away when I was really young. I don t ever
remember her ever picking me up when I fell down or tucking me in at night and kissing me on the
forehead. For a while it was my grandma who did all this but then she got sick, and I had to live with a
family friend, and this is where I still live now. I have always wanted to know what it felt like to have
a happy family. A family that comes to your games because they

Fetal Viability
Societies and organizations around the world hold different beliefs on the question of when life
begins. Opinions range from the belief that life begins at fertilization to others that believe that life
cannot begin until the child is born (Kelly, 1995, p. 65). At the moment it is legal to have an abortion
in Great Britain up to the 24th gestation. Those in favor of abortion often suggest the debate centers
around when the fetus becomes sufficiently human to have the right, opponents believe the fetus is
never anything other than human from conception (BBC Ethics, 2014). However neither side of the
abortion debate can draw much support from simple word of mouth, legislation has taken abortion

Fetal viability is known as the point at which a fetus can survive outside of the mother s womb
(Nursing Times, 2014). The Human Fertilization and Embryology Act of 1990 states that the upper
gestation limit for legal termination is defined as the end of the 24th week of pregnancy (Magil
Cuerden, 2011, p. 753). There have always been two arguments for the 24th week limit that; that it
presents a social/political compromise taking into account public opinion and that it presents the lower
limit of fetal viability (Alan Guttmacher Institute, 1999). Those that want the abortion time limit to be
lowered argue that the survival rate of premature babies has improved since the 1990 s, the last time
the law was changed. In the last 60 years or so advances in technology have enabled women to give
birth to premature babies (Magil Cuerden, 2011, p. 641). Those that want the abortion limit to be
lowered argue that the survival rate of premature has improved since 1990. According to them medical
science and technology have made it easier for premature babies born between 21 22 weeks and six
days to be saved and viability is now set at 19weeks (Acred, 2012, p. 21)

Connotative Language In Media
Connotative Language in The Media Most words in language have evolved to have at least two
meanings. There is the denotation of a word, which is the literal meaning of the word or its dictionary
definition. Also, all words carry a connotation, which refers to the associations that are connected to a
certain word or the emotional suggestions relating to it. A word s connotation can differ depending on
context and the region in which it is used. Recently there has been a spike in the amount of
connotative language being used in news headlines. Three headlines that stand out with their obvious
use of connotative language are, NFL kneelers and the left have it all wrong (Fox News, Sept. 27,
2017), The New York Times has a Communism fetish (The Weekly Standard, Sept. 26, 2017), and
Trump has climate change weirdos everywhere freaking out (The American Spectator, Aug. 30, 2017).
These headlines use connotative language specifically to create political and cultural bias with their
readers/viewers. The first headline that is filled with biased connotative language is from Fox News
and states, NFL kneelers and the left have it all wrong. The headline is referring to the recent trend of
NFL players kneeling during the national anthem. The players are doing this as a protest against police
brutality, the oppression of people of color, and the criminal justice system; all of which are important
causes that should be protested. In order to create bias against the protesters

augment without proper regulation of these aliens. Ever since his first inauguration, it has been
President Barack Obama s mission to improve America s mediocre immigration system. Since Obama

Congress stresses that this pathway to citizenship is mainly focused on the 11 million undocumented
aliens in America, but it is equally vital to deal with future immigrants, as well, or the country may
find itself housing more illegals and not progressing to a better America (Fox News, The Associated
Press, foxnews.com).
Lastly, Obama s final aspiration is to break our old fashioned system and bring it to the 21st century.
The president s opinion about visa card laws was that they are outdated and make no sense, (Fox
News, The Associated Press, foxnews.com). He hopes to join family members with those who have
come to earn a living already and to avoid the prolonged wait of future immigrants. Having to wait
years before being able to send one s family to America is absurd to the President and surely to a
majority of others (CNN Political Unit, CNN.com).
These plans, ideas, and desires for a higher quality national immigration system will be assorted into a
bill. Witnesses largely appealed to congress disposition to pass the bill because not only will this bill
ameliorate the lives of immigrants and their families, but also the US economy (Fox News, The
Associated Press, foxnews.com).
Correspondingly, there is a plethora of reasons why a substantial immigration reform would positively

The Importance Of A Management Information System
A management information system is a computerized method of improving the efficiency of the daily
activities of businesses as well as improving the decision making process. A management information
system can show the status of a business conditions and whether or not these conditions are improving
or not. The decision making process can only be effective if the information is updated regularly by
those with authority to access this information.
There are very few management information systems that actually work effectively, most not even
meeting expectations. Many management information systems are designed under the basis that
managers have a lack of relevant information, while actually they are receiving too much irrelevant ...

However, even when given perfect information there are too many variables for even an experienced
individual to give an optimal solution for the problem or objective at hand. Therefore, to be
successful, you must determine how well managers are able to use the information that they are given.
There are a couple more reasons why MIS tend to fail and meet the expectations of the managers that
are using them. One of these reasons is interdepartmental communication. The author of this specific
article believes that when MIS provide up to date information on what each department in a business
is doing, it negatively affects the performance of the business, contrary to what most believe. This was
implemented into MIS because designers thought that with interdepartmental communication,
decisions can be made more effectively and efficiently, which does sound right at first. However the
author, gives an example of how this system is ineffective and should be abandoned. He mentions a
real life example involving a merchandising department and a purchasing department in a store. The
merchandising department gives the purchasing department an exact figure on how many items they
should buy to be re sold to consumers, based off of a price demand curve. The purchasing department
being slightly pessimistic and not wanting to pay as much for the merchandise orders a fewer number
of items than what the

Personal Views On Philosophy And Philosophy
Eight weeks ago, I was one who internally had developed specific views of my individuality and what
it meant to be human through personal life experiences. I never put much thought into ideology or
views that have shaped our world into what it is today. This class, not only through readings and
interactions has enlightened me into being a more rounded human being. It has added an intellectual
viewpoint that has changed my way of thinking throughout daily life interactions. I am humbled to
admit exactly how naïve my personal viewpoints have set me back. I would like to interject on this
feeling, that I am also proud of the fact, I was able to find value and substance in some of my personal
viewpoints and the way I approach opinions through rational and logic. Philosophy is a powerful and
life altering academia, challenging the mind, and creating substance of life, defining what it means
intuitively to each, specifically between law and morality or how we shall view right from wrong.
First, when I examine Aristotle, and formed distinctions between practical knowledge and theoretical
knowledge, based on what eudaimonia means to me, it was very confusing. I realized that happiness
brought about different feelings and moral convictions not only from me but unexpected viewpoints
from others. Memory finds its meaning, in large part, through key concepts with which it is paired and
from which it is distinguished (J. Blustein 178). It has brought about unanswered questions that still

Agriculture In China Since The Late 19th Century
Since the agricultural revolution, ninety nine percent of humanity had worked the fields of agriculture
in order to survive. Almost nobody had been able to move away from the fields to cities, and people in
the cities had almost never wanted to stop being a craftsman to begin a new life as a farmer. Although
the latter point remains true to this day, the former has been dramatically altered. With innovations in
agriculture as simple as hardened iron plows and better irrigation, slightly more people could make
their homes in cities. With the innovation of steam power and the reaper in the late 18th and early 19th
century, many more people had to leave farming as farm production increased to join in the steam

This created a great migration from farms to cities where farmers learned a low skill, low wage trade
in a highly productive factory, out producing high skilled artisans of the same vein. Supply of goods

so many niches of the market, people could actually purchase nonessentials despite earning less
money from working in a factory; money was actually worth more. Because living in a city had
become cheaper, more farmers were attracted to come to work in a city further increasing this
migration. This migration is still happening today in China. Chinese are moving from agricultural to
urban areas for the same reasons americans and europeans have been doing since the 17th century.
What these factories to create, however, is a large increase in income and wealth inequality; however,

A Very Brief History Of Tea In Imperial Japan
Tea was founded by the Emperor of China, 5000 years ago. While on a trip, slaves of the Emperor
were boiling water for drinking and tea leaves fell into the water. The Emperor drank the tea and
found it refreshing. Lu Yu, a Chinese scholar of Buddhist Monks, codified the various methods of tea
cultivation and preparation in Ancient China. This helped him to introduce tea to the Imperial Japan.
Japan was first introduced to tea by the Buddhist priest Yeisei. Encouraging the use of tea in religious
meditation. Yeisei became known as the Father of Tea . Over the years, tea has been introduced to
many countries such as Europe, America, England, Russia, Britain, and Asia.
There has been several different ways learned to prepare tea. Each country may have a different
method to add. As stated above, the first way discovered was to simply boil water and add the whole
tea leaves. Later, it will be a practice to crush the tea leaves and steep the leaves into boiling water.
Thomas Sullivan of New York developed tea bags for restaurant use. Crushed tea leaves are placed

Equality Or Not In Ayn Rand s Anthem
Equality or Not....
What would our society be like if we had rules that forced everyone to be equal? Ayn Rand illustrates
this in Anthem. The rules are there to make everyone equal, but in reality they are making everything
exponentially unequal. The laws are there to keep the people believing they are equal. However, if the
people knew what advantages they could obtain in the new society, would these people decide to stay
in the society where they are told what to do their entire lives, or would they go with Prometheus to
his new modern society. In Prometheus s society I believe he will have rules that any civilized society
needs. Although, he will not have restrictive rules that try to enforce equality.
First, the rules are there to give equality. But, to be equal everyone would have to have the same job. I
can see how this wouldn t work. If everyone had the same job nothing would get accomplished. There
would be no street sweepers, scholars, teachers, or guards. There would be no world council. Suppose
being a farmer was the only job. There would be plenty of food, but nobody to cook it, so there would

Public Health Problem Of Childhood Obesity
Public Health Problem There is a giant threat looming over the United States, a catastrophic event of
epidemic proportions which is threatening to capsize the health care system and that epidemic is
childhood obesity. The awareness of this epidemic as a national problem developed in 1999 with the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention s (CDC s) publication of a compilation of yearly state
based maps that indicated the increase in the levels of childhood obesity. There were earlier studies
done by the CDC regarding this epidemic, but the maps gave physical proof of the dramatic increase
for this pressing issue (Dietz, 2015). There have been many studies done in trying to find the root
cause for childhood obesity and all stem back to bad dietary patterns, physical inactivity, and genetics.
Additionally, factors in society that contribute to this detrimental disease is the education and skills
that are taught to children at a young age along with food marketing and promotion for unhealthy
foods. There isn t a demographic group in the United States that has been unaffected by the childhood
obesity epidemic, but there is evidence that supports that some subgroups of the U.S. population are
more prone to the onset of this epidemic and that have been more affected than others. Certain ethnic
minority populations, children from low income families, and children from the southern region in the
United States display the trend of having a higher percentage of overweight

most outstanding personalities in the early jazz. He is believed to be the one defining jazz music. The
significance of jazz according to him is creation of a new something of an ancient, making. He gave a
helping hand in the creation plus the representation of a brand new element of a twist on the popular
music.
According to McClendon 2015, when most of us listen to the world contrasted leader, we tend to think
of a being which is extraordinary. A human being that is completely contrasting to the others. We have
seen and heard about very many leaders in the past decades but Louis Armstrong is a great one. His
leading of a great life of music was portrayed in diverse ways. He brought his own style of music that
actually became so loved and cherished around the entire globe. However, he was born on August 4th,
1901 in the New Orleans. He made tremendous achievements in the course of his life and in the
course of doing what he was comfortable with, he became a leader of sound mind cherished and
respected by everybody despite the troublesome painful years he had while still a young boy. Louis
had a hard and painful childhood. His biological dad had just abandoned the family when he was a
very young small baby, left with no choice than to live with the grandmother Josephine Armstrong.
At six years, Louis met three other boys in his life with whom they

Sound Of Waves Analysis
Throughout the novel The Sound of Waves, women are portrayed differently than men and this divide
is apparent in the entirety of the work. Yukio Mishima creates a society that is so odd to anyone living
in a more progressive culture because he writes about an island that has it s inhabitants criticize people
who see women as equals. In this novel, women are seen as objects, discouraged from being educated
and are restricted and told to be a certain thing or act a certain way in order to fit in. Women are forced
to follow society s rules and can not be who they want to be.
On the island, women are treated as objects and are controlled by men. This is shown when Hatsue is
given away to be adopted by her father because he does not need her, but after his son passes away he
has her returned because he now has a use for her. This shows that women are treated as lesser and
that her father thinks he can do whatever he wants. In the book, one of Shinji s friends explains the
situation, Uncle Teru had four girls and one boy. Said he had more than enough of girls, so he married
three of them off and let the other one be adopted away... but then, what do you know, that only son of
his, Matsu, dies of lung sickness last year. Being a widower, Uncle Teru starts feeling lonely. So he
calls hatsue back, has her put back in his family registry , and decides to adopt a husband into the
family for her, to have someone to carry on the name (18). The control over woman is also shown

Reflection Paper On Physician Assistant
It was an enlightening experience to be able to shadow a physician assistant now as a physician
assistant student compared to my previous experiences as a pre physician assistant student. I could
appreciate and understand more the expectations and demands that comes with the profession.
Similarly, how effective a physician assistant may be at meeting the core competencies in the
physician assistant profession. While shadowing Pediatric PA Nick Constantino, I found he meet all
the competencies in our profession, but the two that stood out to me the most were patient care and
medical knowledge.
During the time I spent shadowing PA Constantino, I was able to notice how well rehearsed he was
with medical literature. We saw about eight patients who presented with varying complaints such as
spontaneous nocturnal leg pain, foreign body in ear, wellness checks, possible celiac disease, refill for
medications, change of medications, and cold like symptoms. I was particularly interested on how he
handled the case with the spontaneous nocturnal leg pain. According to the mother, the child would
wake up in the middle night with bilateral leg pain that was soothed with warm baths and Motrin. The
child had not sustained any injuries and after the second episode of leg pain he was taken to the
Emergency Room to be evaluated.
Labs were drawn and x rays were taken of his legs and the results were normal. PA Constantino
elicited more information from the child as he conducted his physical

Police Officer Training And Law Enforcement
Police officer training is a vital component to the safety of the citizens that the officers are sworn to
protect and the laws that they are sworn to uphold. Police officer training doesn t start when the officer
is out in the field, it begins way before that. Training, you can say, begins at a young age, especially
for those that want to pursue a career in law enforcement. Once the decision is made to follow a law
enforcement path then all of that person s efforts should be applied to what needs to be done. Studies
that have been conducted show statistics on the numbers of people in academies and what they are
trained in. Other studies show the interaction between police and citizens. They also show the type of
personnel, the policies, and the practices that are followed. The articles that are being presented will
review the training that an officer should receive from admittance in a police academy and throughout
their career in law enforcement. The articles will focus on various aspects such as training, contacts
with citizens, complaints on officers about the use of force, racial differences, and practices. All of
them have something to do with officer training or the lack there of and all should be taken into
consideration by an officer.
Actual physical and application training begins in the academy and then out in the streets. Officer
training is important and an officer needs to put forth the effort to learn as much as possible to make
them a better officer. Not so

Summary Of Fantasyland, How America Went Haywire
Author Kurt Anderson mostly blames a certain group of people in his book Fantasyland, How
America went Haywire. In a nutshell, Protestants are the problem. Anderson spends chapter after
chapter, starting with Martin Luther and continuing through American history of how Protestant
beliefs have been detrimental to America. In his view which comes across as snide and derisive, they
are the bane of American existence because they believe in magic and supernatural things and have
left most of reason behind. Anderson practically sneers (many words are in italics for emphasis) when
he writes of Protestants. Certainly, some Protestants may be gun nuts, and preppers but not all. Most
of my Protestant friends don t own a gun and they send their children to public school. (Anderson is
not a fan of homeschooling or private religious education).
I found Anderson to be one of those people who believes his way is the only way to live. He
chronicles that taking illegal drugs taught him character. This is a rather strange way to build
character, hard work and helping others is what I was taught by my baby boomer Protestant parents.
He lives in Brooklyn, I believe, and feels that the American s dream of a pastoral setting (the suburbs )
has ruined the entire country. This is a great big land and not everyone wants to or needs to live on top
of each other in a city. Yes, Americans have many cars, but my husband and I take public
transportation to the city from our suburban home. The author

Determination Of Risperidone Essay
3.6 Interferences study The influence of various substances as compounds potentially interfering with
the determination of risperidone was studied under optimum conditions with 300.0 μM risperidone at
pH 7.0. The potentially interfering substances were determined from the group of substances
commonly detected with risperidone in pharmaceuticals. The tolerance limit was specified as the
maximum concentration of the interfering substance that caused an error of less than ±5% in the
measurement of risperidone. According to the results, neither a 1000 fold excess of methanol, ethanol,
NH4 +, Fe2+, Fe3+, Mg2+, Fe2+, Fe3+, SO42−, Al3+, SO42−NH4 +, Fe2+, Fe3+, CO32−, Cl− or
F−, CO32−, alanine, phenylalanine did not affect the selectivity, nor a 50 fold excess of levodopa,
carbidopa, methyldopa, epinephrine, norepinephrine and methylphenidate interfered with the
determination of risperidone. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Prospero And Ariel s Relationship Quotes
For Ariel, he has Prospero s name engraved in his heart to signify that Ariel belongs to Prospero and
must do his bidding. The character also has a backbone made from gold chains to demonstrate that
Ariel is Prospero s personal slave, but is trying to get freedom, he is close to his goal as gold is a weak
metal that can be broken easily. Within the character s eyes, bird is written inside to signify the
character s ultimate desire to be free in the wild just as how birds can fly freely. Ariel also stands on
top of welcome mat to show the character s peaceful nature that makes him beloved by his master.
Prospero s hand is being held by Ariel s hand to show the strong bond between the two in that Ariel is
still a slave but is a loved one who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Prospero states, Why, that s my dainty Ariel. I shall miss thee, [but] yet thou shalt have freedom. So,
so, so. To the king s ship, invisible as thou art. The quote takes up the final words of Prospero to Ariel
in that Ariel has gained freedom, which has been the character s ultimate goal throughout the play.
Then in Act 4, Scene 1, Ariel sates, Before you can say Come and Go, And breathe twice and cry So,
so! Each one, tripping on his toe, will be here with mop and mow. Do you love me, master, no? Ariel
is wanting his master s approval stating that he is loyal person who wants to be trusted, thus showing
his character. For Caliban, his main flaw can be stated by Prospero in Act 1, Scene 2 in which Caliban
is called, Thou liest, malignant thing! Hast thou forgot. The foul witch Sycorax, who with age and
envy. Was grown into a hoop? Hast thou forgot her? This shows the Caliban has been lying about his
position in the island, this is a part of his evil properties that composes him to do anything for island s
ownership. However, Caliban still follows Prospero s rule due to his magic as stated in Act 1, Scene 2
in which he states, No, pray thee. (aside) I must obey. His art is of such power. It would control my
dam s god. Setebos, And make a vassal of him. The quote signifies that he afraid of his master, so that
s why he tends to have a lot of energy and be

This re defining tactic is one of the few framing activities that the Tea Party uses to advance their mobilization potential. The framing and counter framing activities that the Tea Party has been religiously practicing includes: master framing, cultural resonance, empirical credibility, and salience. The effects of these framing notions advances toward an acceptance or a rejection, but for this movement, it strives for public acceptance and admittance for their reformist beliefs and ideology. These activities are the essential elements to carry through the movement s political agenda. Master framing is a type of frame with an extensive appeal and it can influence biased social constructivism. The Tea Party uses this type of framing to identify their perspective of the problem. In my opinion, I believe they have made a difference in the court process because these programs offer an alternative outcome to the defendant s criminal case. I believe the reason it hasn t made the impact aspired by legislators is due to sentencing issues judges face from advocates of deserved punishment believers and the fact that handing down alternative sentences to people with different outcomes could lead to people accusing the courts of not being equal when sentencing individuals to jail time or probation. Other countries such as Germany, England, Sweden and most other European countries have already taken this form of punishment into effect leading to less of a financial burden on its citizens. In addition to community service and restitution, I have come to the conclusion that the best form of intermediate sanctions for juveniles would be boot camp. An Analysis Of Everyday Ambassador, By Kate Otto First and foremost, the novel Everyday Ambassador, by Kate Otto, opens the eyes of many, and makes people realise that there are four simple values they can add into their everyday lives to make a difference. By adding these values into your life you could make a difference for not only yourself but for your neighbors, community, and maybe even the world. An everyday ambassador has to have focus, empathy, humility, and patience. By realizing you want to make a change you are already on the journey to becoming an everyday ambassador. Humility is knowing we are important and equal to everybody else around us no matter what age, skin color, or religion they have. We should not have to wake up everyday and get likes on social media to feel important. We shouldn t compare our lives to others and put people down because they are different than us. Having humility allows you to realize that it is okay to not be an expert at everything and know that sometimes you can t contribute as much as others. But knowing that, allows you to find aspects of your life where you can help and make a difference. You should be putting yourself into situations where you can help change the world even if it is one small step at a time. By doing this you can become an everyday ambassador. Lastly, the fourth and final value you need to have to become an everyday ambassador is patience. Patience is the ability to overcome annoyance when confronted with some kind of delay of results. This has become a very distinct problem with people as we have every answer we could ever want at our fingertips. By having patience in your life and letting yourself know that results could take a while puts you on the path to becoming an everyday ambassador. You need to know, especially if you want to help change people s lives or change the world, that seeing results could take a very long time. However, if you do have the patience ... The Samoans and Yanomamo have different and similar subsistence methods, division of labor, occupational specialization, exchange of goods, and the economic link to power. The first aspect of Samoan and Yanomamo life that is different is subsistence methods. The Yanomamo have different forms of subsistence than the Samoans. The Samoans mainly rely on agriculture. Dr. Simpson said that there were more oaks in the restored area than the reference ecosystem probably had. I was very impressed by the project as there were massive oaks and a relatively good diversity of prairie grasses and shrubs beneath them. However, Dr. Simpson asked us what was wrong with the restored system. Bewildered, the group was unable to answer him. He revealed that there was a lack of small oaks. To conquer another is to gain control over, or to use force against, conquering other people implies a use of force, such as to kill or to enslave. Not only is this ethically wrong it is also costly. Conquering is a term that describes something far beyond persuasion it is an overtaking and an exploitation of another population. It is incorrect for one group to behave in such away as to take away or impose beliefs that take away the right of anyone to not have the liberty to choose. For tuition, I found that the best choices for me based on that criteria would be either CU Boulder or Mines. Both of these schools have generally the same tuition, and both are the lowest out of my choices. The lowest ranked choice is MIT for this criteria, due to the fact that it is over $70,000 to attend for a tuition year. The other choices generally ranged from $40,000 $50,000. For the criteria of the size of the campus, I found that both Colorado School of Mines and Vanderbilt both appealed to me the most. Colorado School of Mines has a decent campus with under 20,000 students. Vanderbilt in its whole may have many students, but its College of Engineering is also decent in its size. • 21. Contract Law From Law And Economics Perspective b. Contract Law from Law and Economics Perspective Voluntary exchange is of the utmost importance in being able to transfer resources from less to more valuable uses and to the hands of those that value them the most. This process of exchange does not face many obstacles when the parties to a transaction can perform their obligations in a simultaneous manner. In today s world, most transfers of resources occur through contracts and require agreements as to how, where, and at what price the transfer will occur at some time in the future. This is why protection of contract rights is essential. While voluntary exchange would not necessarily break down entirely without any form of contract law, it would be highly inefficient. In a legal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If efficiency is not enforced through contract law it will bias investment toward economic activity that can only be conducted in a short time period. This will reduce efficiency in the market and lead to misallocation of resources. Here is a simple example of how the lack of contract law s existence would affect how parties interacted in the sale of goods and services. Professor Chrisman has advertised that he has a hog (not to be confused with a pig), worth $100 to him, for sale and now has two potential purchasers. Buyer one, Professor Todd, has offered to purchase the hog today from $150 (he is risk adverse and believes that price of pigs is going to increase drastically over the next year). Buyer two, Professor Hesch, has offered to purchase the hog next Saturday at graduation for $200. If Professor Chrisman lives in a system without contract law he will accept Professor Todd s offer of $150 today because he will be worried that Professor Hesch will change his mind before graduation and Professor Todd will have bought another hog. The law s failure to enforce contract law has caused an inefficient misallocation of resources because Professor Chrisman cannot enforce the promise made by Professor Hesch and will not be incentivized to take the risk of selling the hog to him. The single purpose and goal of all contract law is to impose contract liability only where it creates incentives to encourage value maximizing conduct in the future. ... • 22. The War On Drugs And Drugs Essay The war on drugs have been a critical issue that has repeatedly held a great debate topic. It was in the 1906 when the first act against drug was put into effect with the Pure Food and Drug Act which required all over the counter medication to have label of its ingredients. Under President Nixon the first executive branch office to coordinate drug policy was formed and the Comprehensive Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act was put into place. Two years following that the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) was formed. The funding for the war on drugs had greatly increased over the decades and has reached the record of an annual budget of $17.8 billion which occurred in 1998. Much of the budget is used to intervene drug flow on the U.S. border and for interdiction according to Cooper s 1993 War on Drugs article. Some people agree that having more man power at the U.S. border will help eliminate the U.S. drug problem while others argue that even though having more people working the border increases drug seizures there are still drugs continuing to enter the United States. These may be the very people that believe in using the budget to provide more educational programs to the younger generation and having prevention programs will help those that may have become a drug user if not a addict. The last group of American do not believe either of those programs have worked in the past and will not work in the future. With those options gone the only thing left to do it to legalize ... • 24. The Effects Of Social Media On The Development Of Mobile... Social Media Media Broadcast Marketing The increase of social media and the development of mobile technology in the last decade has been significant, which has transformed the communication strategies and especially with sharing the experiences and how information should be marketed to the target audience. According to Hollensen (2014), the selection of newspapers, web sites, and TV to be used for advertising (series of actions to reach goals) needs to be done (at the same time) with the development of the message theme. The vital question in media selection is whether to use a target or mass approach. When a large percentage of the general public is a potential customer the mass media approach will be most effective. The media approach should be the outcome of a careful fit of local advertising goals, the characteristics of the target market and media attributes. Moreover, media variety can be based on the following criteria: Reach the total number of potential customers in a target market exposed to at least one advertisement in a specific time period. Frequency is the average total of times within a given period, a target market audience is exposed to the same promotion. Impact dependant on compatibility between the message from the media approach and the medium used. Franz Joseph Haydn s Symphony No. 94 Symphony When listening to Classical music I think of rich, precise, high quality, and pristine music that either gives you relaxing feeling or gives you that want to dance feeling. One of my favorite composers of this era was Franz Joseph Haydn and he incorporated both of these feelings in his arrangements. Franz Joseph Haydn was born in 1732 in Austria. He struggled early in life and worked as a freelance musician. He began his career singing soprano at Saint Stephen s Cathedral and later started giving keyboard lessons, playing in street bands, and singing or playing violin and organ at three different churches every Sunday (Wright, C. M., 2014, p.159, para. 2). In 1779, Haydn signed a contract with Prince Nikolas and for thirty years he wrote ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 94 Surprise Symphony. The genre of this musical composition is a symphony and it consists of a three movement minuet and trio. The piece has a stately dance feel to it with a very solid rhythm, nice melody, and a rich full sound. It is written in ternary form and the entire minuet trio minuet forms an ABA arrangement (Wright, C.M., 2014, p. 166). The divisions between sections of the piece are well indicated and recognized by a change of theme, instrumentation, and volume. I really liked the way the timpani helped accentuate the beat and help give the piece a driving tempo at times. The woodwinds and strings also flowed well together as if telling a story. Some of the things that stuck out to me and make this an enjoyable symphony were the rich full sound of the orchestra instruments along with the bouncy rhythm and tempo. While listening to the arrangement I could hardly sit still, the music just made me want to move with it. It gave me the mental image of a large stately ballroom with numerous dancers dancing about. Henry is an extremely interesting and dynamic character. From a young age he associated with criminals, drunkards, and other lowly citizens. When his father was on his deathbed, he requested that Henry stopped being a criminal, and begin acting like a king. Henry made that oath, and stayed true to it until his dying day. While Henry does adapt his ways often, he doesn t always change. One of the examples of him sticking to old ways is how he is a religious man. Early in the story, he listens to the Archbishop, and starts this war because of him. The Archbishop is the prophet of god, which correlates with being a pious person. The English win the Battle of Agincourt in an astounding manner; only losing less than 30 men while the French lost 10,000 men. He decides the reason behind them winning the battle God s will. Another example of this is his choice to end people s lives. Henry V is a man of God, which is again shown on the eve of the Battle of Agincourt when he is talking with his men. One of his men wishes they had more men fighting, yet Henry wishes the opposite. If God has chosen them to lose this battle then more men would die. On the other hand, if God had chosen them to win, extra men wouldn t be needed, so they can use those extra men to suppress the Scottish rebellion. Also, all words carry a connotation, which refers to the associations that are connected to a certain word or the emotional suggestions relating to it. A word s connotation can differ depending on context and the region in which it is used. Recently there has been a spike in the amount of connotative language being used in news headlines. Public Health Problem Of Childhood Obesity Public Health Problem There is a giant threat looming over the United States, a catastrophic event of epidemic proportions which is threatening to capsize the health care system and that epidemic is childhood obesity. The awareness of this epidemic as a national problem developed in 1999 with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention s (CDC s) publication of a compilation of yearly state based maps that indicated the increase in the levels of childhood obesity. There were earlier studies done by the CDC regarding this epidemic, but the maps gave physical proof of the dramatic increase for this pressing issue (Dietz, 2015). There have been many studies done in trying to find the root cause for childhood obesity and all stem back to bad dietary patterns, physical inactivity, and genetics. Additionally, factors in society that contribute to this detrimental disease is the education and skills that are taught to children at a young age along with food marketing and promotion for unhealthy foods. • 41. Sound Of Waves Analysis Throughout the novel The Sound of Waves, women are portrayed differently than men and this divide is apparent in the entirety of the work. Yukio Mishima creates a society that is so odd to anyone living in a more progressive culture because he writes about an island that has it s inhabitants criticize people who see women as equals. In this novel, women are seen as objects, discouraged from being educated and are restricted and told to be a certain thing or act a certain way in order to fit in. Women are forced to follow society s rules and can not be who they want to be. On the island, women are treated as objects and are controlled by men. This is shown when Hatsue is given away to be adopted by her father because he does not need her, but after his son passes away he has her returned because he now has a use for her. This shows that women are treated as lesser and that her father thinks he can do whatever he wants. In the book, one of Shinji s friends explains the situation, Uncle Teru had four girls and one boy. Said he had more than enough of girls, so he married three of them off and let the other one be adopted away... but then, what do you know, that only son of his, Matsu, dies of lung sickness last year. Being a widower, Uncle Teru starts feeling lonely. • 42. Reflection Paper On Physician Assistant It was an enlightening experience to be able to shadow a physician assistant now as a physician assistant student compared to my previous experiences as a pre physician assistant student. I could appreciate and understand more the expectations and demands that comes with the profession. Similarly, how effective a physician assistant may be at meeting the core competencies in the physician assistant profession. While shadowing Pediatric PA Nick Constantino, I found he meet all the competencies in our profession, but the two that stood out to me the most were patient care and medical knowledge. During the time I spent shadowing PA Constantino, I was able to notice how well rehearsed he was with medical literature. We saw about eight patients who presented with varying complaints such as spontaneous nocturnal leg pain, foreign body in ear, wellness checks, possible celiac disease, refill for medications, change of medications, and cold like symptoms. I was particularly interested on how he handled the case with the spontaneous nocturnal leg pain. According to the mother, the child would wake up in the middle night with bilateral leg pain that was soothed with warm baths and Motrin. The child had not sustained any injuries and after the second episode of leg pain he was taken to the Emergency Room to be evaluated. Labs were drawn and x rays were taken of his legs and the results were normal. PA Constantino elicited more information from the child as he conducted his physical ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Training, you can say, begins at a young age, especially for those that want to pursue a career in law enforcement. Once the decision is made to follow a law enforcement path then all of that person s efforts should be applied to what needs to be done. Studies that have been conducted show statistics on the numbers of people in academies and what they are trained in. Other studies show the interaction between police and citizens. They also show the type of personnel, the policies, and the practices that are followed. • 45. Summary Of Fantasyland, How America Went Haywire Author Kurt Anderson mostly blames a certain group of people in his book Fantasyland, How America went Haywire. In a nutshell, Protestants are the problem. Anderson spends chapter after chapter, starting with Martin Luther and continuing through American history of how Protestant beliefs have been detrimental to America. In his view which comes across as snide and derisive, they are the bane of American existence because they believe in magic and supernatural things and have left most of reason behind. Anderson practically sneers (many words are in italics for emphasis) when he writes of Protestants. Certainly, some Protestants may be gun nuts, and preppers but not all. Most of my Protestant friends don t own a gun and they send their children to public school. (Anderson is not a fan of homeschooling or private religious education). I found Anderson to be one of those people who believes his way is the only way to live. He chronicles that taking illegal drugs taught him character. This is a rather strange way to build character, hard work and helping others is what I was taught by my baby boomer Protestant parents. He lives in Brooklyn, I believe, and feels that the American s dream of a pastoral setting (the suburbs ) has ruined the entire country. This is a great big land and not everyone wants to or needs to live on top of each other in a city. Yes, Americans have many cars, but my husband and I take public transportation to the city from our suburban home. The author ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
