The document discusses Joseph Conrad's novel Heart of Darkness and how it provides key insights into colonialism. The novel focuses on colonialism in Africa, specifically the Congo, and the negative effects it had on both indigenous Africans and European colonists. It tells the story of Marlow's trip down the Congo River, during which he witnessed things that changed his perspective. Conrad drew from his own experiences traveling in the Congo to write the novel.
The document discusses contradictory images of women portrayed in films from the 1950s. This was a transitional decade that rejected old values and introduced new ones. Authors Scheiner and Haskell analyzed how 1950s films reflected this by portraying complex, sometimes conflicting images of women. The decade laid the groundwork for more modern representations of gender in later films.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

5. Life In A City Is Better Than Living In The City
Kimi 胡劼 No. 0210650 12/30/10 Persuasive Essay (Revised) Life in Cities is of More Quality in
China In recent years, people have paid close attention to the quality of daily life a lot, and one of the
most heated debating topics is whether people should choose to live in the city or in the countryside in
China. There are millions of peasants living in rural areas, but a large number of them are rushing into
urban areas to get a job every year. People living in the countryside are anxious to begin their urban
life, meanwhile people in cities prefer to live a peaceful life far away from town. As for me, in China,
living in the city is much better than living in the countryside in that citizens would surely live a more
convenient life, have more choices in every aspect of life and would also achieve a sense of
accomplishment in their enriching life. Since some areas of countryside in China are still in poor
situation, cities offer people a more comfortable and convenient life. In some suburban regions, it is
troublesome to go out, but the transportation system in almost every city in China is quite developed
now. Citizens could choose different vehicles as they wish in cities, such as car, bus, metro and even
high speed railway. People living in Wuhan in central region of China could reach Guangzhou in
South China by high speed rail within several hours, in which period people living in rural areas may
just get to town from home. In cities, people could enjoy the door to door transport service easily
meanwhile going out is quite an inconvenient action for many people living in suburban in China.
This sort of obvious contrast can be seen by everybody. Besides the aspect of transportation, there are
more plentiful living facilities in cities than in the countryside. As a whole, the infrastructure in most
cities in China is of high quality. The systems of medical treatment, health care, physical training, etc
are available for citizens to make use of to keep their life quality in a high level. Once citizens have a
problem in daily life, there are often corresponding ways for them to solve it. While in the most areas
of countryside in China, there is still even a lack of medical security now. Living in the city

6. Book Report On The Japanese Tales
In the Japanese Tales, translated by Royall Tyler, the observation that snakes function as agents of
karma is valid. In order to teach this Buddhist theme, snakes can be portrayed with a broad range of
abilities and personalities to maintain a system of cosmic justice. Consequently, the imagery of snakes
is seen as complex and paradoxical from tale to tale through their ways of delivering justices.
However, snakes are not only agents of karma, but can also be agents to teach the consequence of
sexual desires. This essay will show the complex characterization of snakes in order to express the
consequences for certain behaviors such as dishonesty, lack of devotion to Buddhism, and lust.
While snakes are seen as agents of karma in Red Heat, they are also portrayed as a creature with
strong vengeful and evil personality toward those who express dishonesty and lack of devotion to
Buddhist vows. As illustrated in Red Heat, a pair of monks sets themselves up for karmic
repercussions by accepting hospitality from a lustful widow. This gives a chance for the widow to
target one of the monks to be her sexual partner, which placed the monk in a situation to commit more
misdeeds. The monks behavior demonstrates a lack of devotion to protecting their vow to remain in
chaste, which was to stay away from sexual interactions with women (Tyler 160). When the sexual
pursuit occurred, the monk told the widow, If I suddenly break my vow, we ll suffer (Tyler 160).

The Sinaloa Cartel is the premier drug trafficking organization in Mexico. The cartel is based out of
Sinaloa, Mexico. Unlike many of the Mexican cartels, the Sinaloa Cartel exports large quantities of
multiple drugs into the United States. Pablo Escobar is considered one of the most notorious drug
lords in history. Escobar s cartel was only in charge of exporting cocaine into the United States. The
Sinaloa Cartel exports cocaine, methamphetamines, and marijuana into the United States. The leader

drug kingpin, he has proven that he is almost as good at escaping from prison. El Chapo has multiple
prison escapes under his belt. He most recently escaped from the Federal Social Readaptation Center

Hererra Nevares, Ernesto Fonseca Carillo, Eduardo Fernandez, Jorge Escobar, Pedro Aviles Perez,
Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo, and Hector Luis Palma (Beith, 2011, p. 68). The Sinaloa Cartel is a
culmination of different Mexican drug organizations. Herrera was in charge of an organization that
exported heroine from Mexico through Chicago using what is known as the heroin highway (Beith,
2011). Eventually the Herrera organization teamed up with Ernesto Fonseca and Jorge Escobar who
were key figures in the Sinaloan drug world. The Mexican government launched Operation Condor

character Aunt Georgina from A Wagner Matinee written by Willa Cather both have a past self they
experience in their stories and does not correlate with their current self. Other than this they share

Parent rocks composed predominantly of a single mineral (for example, quartz or calcite) often
produce non foliated metamorphic rocks. Sand grains in a metamorphosed sandstone fuse into a
dense, compact mass of interlocking particles, producing a rock called quartzite. Metamorphism of
limestone produces marble.
Evaluating Metamorphic Rocks
Examine the metamorphic rocks in your kit, with a hand lens or microscope as appropriate, and use
the information in Table 5 1 to answer the following questions.
Q5 1: Consider the metamorphic specimens in your kit (67 75). Which ones are foliated (four total)?

12. The Importance Of Concussions In Sports
In many recent studies, scientists and doctors have been making significant discoveries about the
difference between women s and men s rates of concussions in various sports. This is shown through
the process of how women and men deal with concussions, statistical data, and the equipment for both
women and men.
To begin, the physiological process women and men go through from impact and healing is different
in a plethora of ways. For example, women are shown to report more concussion symptoms like: poor
concentration, increased fatigue, headache, and visual hallucinations (NCAA). Also, women suffer
from greater cognitive decline and slowed reaction time relative to males (NCAA). Lastly, female
concussed athletes perform more poorly on BESS (Balance Error Scoring System) following
concussion relative to males (NCAA). On the other hand, the men will have the same symptoms but
will last shorter than what women deal with due to low pre injury levels of progesterone (The
Washington Post). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In women s soccer the rate of concussion compared to boys is 2.1%. In women s softball, the rate of
concussion is up by 3.2%. Lastly, in women s basketball, the rate of concussion compared to men s

sports compared to the men s sports. To contrast, the rate of concussions in men s soccer is 19 19.2%.
For men s baseball, the concussion rate is 4.6 5. Lastly, in men s basketball, the rate of concussion is
16 21.2 % (Headcase). What this data shows is that the rate of a sports concussion varies by how
many people play in it, and for women, not a lot of women play sports so the rate can be biased in the
way of how many people play the sport [in

13. Juvenile Crime And Crime Rates
Juvenile crime is one of the nation s most serious problems. Concerns about it are generally
broadcasted by federal, state, and local government officials and by the public. In years prior, the
burden developed beginning with the dramatic rise in juvenile violence in the eighties reaching an all
time peak in the first part of the nineties. Even though juvenile crime rates seem to have lowered since
the mid nineties, the reduction has not eased the concern. Many states began taking strict statutory
stances toward juveniles in the late seventies and early eighties. This was an era in which juvenile
crime rates were steady or dropping slightly, while federal reformers were commending prevention
and less disciplinary actions. Some of the conflict between the federal program and what was
happening in the states at that time may have been initiated by substantial changes in legal measures
that made juvenile court procedures more similar, however not equal to those in adult (criminal) court.
The reaction to the most recent spike in vicious juvenile crime has been a portrayal of laws that
uphold blurred differences between juvenile courts and adult courts. Some states continued to
strengthen their juvenile crime laws over the years first by making sentencing more severe, two by
increasing allowable transfers to criminal court, or doing away with some of the discretion protections
of juvenile court. Many such changes were enacted after the juvenile violent crime rate had already

14. The Passionate Shepherd To His Love By Christopher Marlowe...
The Passionate Shepherd to His Love by Christopher Marlowe and The Nymph s Reply to the
Shepherd by Sir Walter Raleigh are two of numerous, prominent poems in the late sixteenth century.
Both were written between 1590 and 1600, however, the exact years for each are somewhat
ambiguous. Raleigh s The Passionate Shepherd . . . is classified as a pastoral poem due to its depiction
of a natural setting and is also considered to be perhaps the most famous of all English pastoral works.
Likewise, it is a carpe diem poem given its advocation to seize the day and to live life to the fullest
extent which often implied care free, sexual behaviors. Conversely, there exists many sequels to it, the
most relevant being Marlowe s The Nymph s Reply . . . Marlowe s speaker claims that the recipient
should live with him so that they may pursue a variety of romantic activities. However, Raleigh s
speaker is significantly less optimistic and states that nothing is eternal, all shall succumb to aging,
and that they would only live with him if life had no boundaries of time. Furthermore, Marlowe s
poem is a quintessential carpe diem poem given how the speaker attempts to portray the extravagant
and romantic lifestyle that could be provided for the recipient. Similarly, the first and last lines of the
second stanza state, respectively, And we will sit upon the rocks . . . Melodious birds sing madrigals.

The Scientific Management Theory (Taylorism)
In 1911, Frederick Winslow Taylor published his work, The Principles of Scientific Management, in
which he described how the application of the scientific method to the management of workers greatly
could improve productivity.
Scientific management methods called for optimizing the way that tasks were performed and
simplifying the jobs enough so that workers could be trained to perform their specialized sequence of
motions in the one best way.
Before the scientific management theory, work tasks ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
No attention for soft factors. * Mechanistic. Treating people as machines. * Separation of planning
function and doing. * Loss of skill level and autonomy at worker level. Not very useful in current
knowledge worker environments (except as an antithesis).
The Human Relations Theory (The Hawthorne Effect)
The Hawthorne Studies (or experiments) were conducted from 1927 to 1932 at the Western Electric
Hawthorne Works in Chicago, where Harvard Business School professor Elton Mayo examined
productivity and work conditions.
Elton Mayo started these experiments by examining the physical and environmental influences of the
workplace (e.g. brightness of lights, humidity) and later, moved into the psychological aspects (e.g.
breaks, group pressure, working hours, managerial leadership) and their impact on employee
motivation as it applies to productivity.
16. The Hawthorne Effect can be summarized as Employees are more productive because the employees
know they are being studied. Elton Mayo s experiments showed an increase in worker productivity
was produced by the psychological stimulus of being singled out, involved, and made to feel
important.
Specifically, Mayo wanted to find out what effect fatigue and monotony had on job productivity and
how to control them through such variables as rest breaks, work hours, temperature and humidity. In
the process, he stumbled upon a principle of human motivation that would help to revolutionize the
theory and

17. China s Development Of Human Rights
As of November 5, 2016, China has a population of over 1.37 billion people (Livepopulation). That
number is expected to increase to 1.39 billion in just four years. With so many people occupying one
country, there are many different traditions and a very diverse culture. China has over 56 ethnic
groups, with the largest one being the Hans. A culture is the way a country s people act and interact.
This usually includes religion, language, food, etiquettes, art, ceremonies, etc. China has a culture that
dates back to more than 10,000 years. This has subsequently led to a varied and rich way of life. One
aspect of the Chinese culture is the religion. According to the China National People s Congress 2003

Mandarin dialects are spoken by 71.5 percent of the population, followed by Wu (8.5 percent), Yue
(also called Cantonese, 5 percent), Xiang (4.8 percent), Min (4.1 percent), Hakka (3.7 percent) and
Gan (2.4 percent) (Lifescience). With that being said, Mandarin is the primary language of China.
Although many Chinese speak Mandarin, it depends on the area of China a person lives in. Even
though Chinese people primarily speak Mandarin, sometimes its dialect makes it difficult to
communicate at times. China has adopted the pinyin system using Roman letters for spelling Chinese
names and places as well as a pronunciation tool for learning the Chinese characters (Countrywatch).
Men haave a higher rate of literacy in China than women do. For men, it is 95 percent and for women
86.5 percent. While many speak in their native language, English is taught in Chinese schools. From
the time the child starts school until he/she graduates, English is taught in every grade.
Food is an important staple in Chinese culture. When families get together, they eat and enjoy each
other s company. Chinese food has five key flavors that must be balanced according to Chinese
medicine (ChinaHighlights). These flavors include, but are not limited to, sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and
spicy. The Northern part of China chooses to eat more dumplings and noodles. The North prefers
wheat products over rice dishes. The south prefers rice with most meals. Vegetables are not just eaten

19. The Pros And Cons Of Air Pollution
Imagine the world around us different than how it would be now. Less safe and more risk for diseases.
People are finding it harder and harder to breathe the toxic air. It is becoming more unbearable each
day. Arctic sea levels have risen. Gas prices are at an all time high due to oil no longer being as easy to
grasp. The world we live in is dark, gloomy, and filled with a life that is worrisome for us, and our
future children. It is no longer livable for mankind, but how do we avoid such a troublesome future?
What is some sort of solution to help the future of mankind to provide clean air not just for us, but for
future generations? One simple solution to prevent this sad future is purchasing an electric vehicle
rather than a gasoline vehicle. According to the union of concerned scientists in 2013, transportation
contributed to more than half of the carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides, and almost a quarter of the
hydrocarbons emitted into our air. This air pollution carries significant risks for human health and the
environment. Through clean vehicle and fuel technologies, we can significantly reduce air pollution
from our cars and trucks, while cutting projected U.S oil use in half within the next 20 years. Due to
such high gasoline prices, the electric vehicles market has grown drastically in the past couple years.
Electric cars are quiet, more energy efficient, save you money, and have zero emissions rather than a
gasoline car. Therefore, I support the investment of an

Unit 10: Understand Child and Young Person Development
There are a range of factors which affect a child s development. Each area of development will be
affected by their background and health. It is therefore important to be aware of these to know how
much encouragement and support each pupil may need to allow them to develop as far as possible.
The personal factors which may affect a child s development are poor health or physical impairments
which can have a large impact on a child s development. The most obvious consequence of this would
be the effect on physical development but it may influence the child s social and emotional
development. Being unable to join in certain activities could make a child stand out or go unnoticed
by other children and so as adults it is vital that we recognise these differences and ... Show more

This may be through encouragement and support or by altering an activity to make it accessible to all
children. I have just finished a year working with a child who was born with a heart condition. This
affected the child s growth and he was much smaller than the rest of the class. However, he was very
emotionally mature and open about his condition and the rest of the class were very accepting of
anyone who was different so this didn t cause many problems. There are also learning difficulties
which may affect a child s development. Children with such difficulties should be supported and
encouraged to develop in all areas as best as they can. This past year I was a one to one for a girl who
had learning difficulties. We worked together often and I was aware of what she could do without
support and what she needed me for. She was very good at asking for help when she needed it but also
liked to maintain her independence. This was important as it allowed her social interactions with her

When looking at these images I think of the original piece that these works are a reference to. For the
Obama hope poster I am reminded of the political campaign of him running and the photograph the
poster referenced. In the second and third poster I am reminded of the first poster as these are a parody
of sorts of it. The second poster has a portrait of the Joker from the batman series. The third is a
reference to Bill Clinton s sex scandal. The artist uses art appropriation to use an image that the
audience already knows. Since the audience is already familiar with parts of the image it becomes sort
of a parody. The audience can look at the piece and form their own judgements based on what they
think about these events. For example a person who was not a fan of Obama during his political run
would already have their views of Obama when they look at the hope poster. They may not see hope
as the correct word for him. So the audience is able to put their opinions with the image along with

23. Howard Gardner And Gardner s Theory Of Multiple Intelligences
Numerous are growing interested in what makes them who they are, along with how exactly they fit
into society. In fact, a variety of concepts exist that individuals commonly apply to their own identity.
Aiding people, the ideas help explore who they truly are as well as help understand themselves better.
But at the same time, they can either be helpful and relate to you with your identity, or do the
complete opposite. Of the broad amount of concepts to the identification of people, there are three that
exist named Gardner s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, Adler s Birth Order, as well as learning styles.
Each person is unique in their own way, especially the outstanding capabilities of their mind. For
example, it is common to only know of the visual learning, auditory learning, and kinesthetic learning
aspects, but what people do not know is that the mind goes beyond that (Lane). Developed by Howard
Gardner exists the Multiple Intelligences, which consists of nine different intelligences. Of all of the
intelligences exists Verbal linguistic, Logical mathematical, Spatial visual, Bodily kinesthetic,
Musical, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Naturalist, and Existential (Howard Gardner s Theory of
Multiple Intelligences). According to Gardner, each person has a unique blend of capabilities and
skills, which students could balance out their skills if they discovered their strengths (Lane).

24. The Godfather, The Exorcist, And The Silence Of The Lambs
The Godfather, The Exorcist, and The Silence of the Lambs are three films that are often given the
title greatest of all time in their respective genre, for very good reason. Each film consists of scenes
that are crafted so unforgettably that the scenes leave each viewer with a sense of awe, shock, and
horror when each scene is carefully examined. The Godfather, distributed in 1972 by Paramount
Pictures, was directed by Francis Ford Coppola who in an interview said in regards to his filmmaking
that If you don t take a risk then how are you going to make something really beautiful, that hasn t
been seen before? (1). The Godfather certainly presented cinema with iconic and memorable scenes
that were both beautiful and never before seen largely due to the new and risky ways Francis Ford
Coppola presented The Godfather s narrative. Similarly, The Exorcist chilled the bones of audiences
everywhere by shocking the world with grueling demonic possession in a tangible way that had never
been presented before by cinema. The scenes in The Exorcist were particularly memorable because
the scenes resonated with a large majority of American audiences who came from religious
backgrounds where demonic possession is a sincere possibility; never before had a film brought
Americans face to face with The Devil, Hell, and sin by means of horror. Horror was also a key
element in Jonathan Demme s 1991 classic The Silence of the Lambs. Horror made each scene very

Brazil s situation
As per CIA handbook, Since 2003, Brazil has steadily improved macroeconomic stability, building up
foreign reserves, reducing its debt profile by shifting its debt burden toward real denominated and
domestically held instruments, adhering to an inflation target, and committing to fiscal responsibility.
In 2008, Brazil became a net external creditor and two ratings agencies awarded investment grade
status to its debt. After record growth in 2007 and 2008, the onset of the global financial crisis hit
Brazil in September 2008. Brazil s currency and its stock market Bovespa saw large swings as foreign
investors pulled resources out of Brazil. Brazil experienced two quarters of recession, as global
demand for Brazil s commodity based exports dwindled and external credit dried up. However, Brazil
was one of the first emerging markets to begin a recovery. Consumer and investor confidence revived

29. Persuasive Essay On College Education
Imagine a store only sold two sizes of the new shirt you wanted. In today s society that is the perfectly
painted picture on college education. College has become an option, a granted privilege, and no longer
a necessity. Jobs such as small business owners, Web developers, and Wind Turbine Technician no
longer require a college degree. College education is still worth it because college, ¨encourages
students to think, ask questions, and explore new ideas, which allows for additional growth and
development and provides college graduates with an edge in the job market over those who have not
experienced a higher education¨ (McGuire). A college degree is an essential tool in an adult s life
because of prominent health, labor market balance, and overall career success.
First, earning a degree can lead to prominent health. Health is of utmost important next to education
and family. Earning a degree can decrease your chance of becoming obese, increase self esteem,
improve brain development, and better understand and compliance with healthy behaviors. When
earning a college degree you are ¨a lot less likely to be obese and 50% more likely to exercise¨ (5
ways). Increased self esteem comes for the sense of accomplishment and confidence from completing
the fast, accelerating education program. By age twenty young adults still do not have a fully
developed brain in terms of cognition. Cognition is how someone understanding something.
According to author Jill Jeffrey, ¨Findings suggest that higher order cognitive capacities that begin to
develop in adolescence do not fully develop until surprisingly late, perhaps even into the 30s¨
(Colorado.edu). College actually helps your brain to develop, leading to living anywhere from two and
a half to nine years longer, helps you to have a better understand and compliance with healthy
behaviors, communication, and various life skills. But, earning a degree can also increase your chance
of weight gain and mental disorders due to higher levels of stress and anxiety. Some include

33. The Demographic Transition Model Analysis
In 2050, Argentina will be in stage four of the demographic transition model. This proposes that the
population growth will be approach zero, and Argentina will sustain an unvarying population. Most of
Europe, Japan, and the United States are perpetually in stage four. Argentina will then be considered a
developed country with most people in the working age group, with a tumbling birth rate. This can be
seen in the 2050 graph when the sides of the pyramid begin to straighten out or become inverted all
together. Eventually in the future, as the birth rate maintains a steady decline and fewer children are
being born, pronatalist policies will have to be put in motion. As the population becomes older, there

Based on this rate, Argentina seems to have a good quality of living as well as a fair economic stature
and education system. With a crude birth rate at 19 and a crude death rate at 8, it can be inferred that
Argentina takes care of its elderly and helps young couples plan for their family. With this
understanding of the rate of natural increase, one could look at Argentina s infant mortality rate as
another positive demographic indicator.
Infant mortality rate depicts the number of deaths of children less than one year of age per 1,000 births
within a country. Argentina has an infant mortality rate of 11.7 based on the 2013 World Population
Data Sheet, which is very low compared to the world average of 40 (9). Even though Argentina s
infant mortality rate (IMR) is lower than the world s average, it is not as low as one may think when
looking at their population of 41.3 million people. This means that nearly 826,000 babies under the
age of one have died within their first year. On the other hand, the infant mortality rate of Argentina is
much lower than the majority of Africa and parts of Asia, which suggests that Argentina has a
sufficient healthcare and education system for women (2013 World Population Data Sheet, 9). If the
infant mortality rate is high, which in Argentina s case it is not, it would be a good indicator that the
country most likely lives in poverty and does not

Yet, the repression of the forced deportation of nearly one million Chechens in the last week of
February 1944 is considered to be the most salient to the common sense of distrust held by Chechens
of Moscow s rule (Nikolaev Malashenko, 2004; Tishkov, 2004; Jaimoukha, 2005; Gammer, 2006).
Thousands are thought to have died during the forced relocation to the Central Asian Soviet Socialist
Republics (SSRs) and the eventual repatriation to Chechnya from 1957 to 1960 resulted in even
further alienation as ethnic Russians who had taken control of the homesteads and farms of Chechen
deportees resisted their return violently (Tishkov, 2004). Valery Tishkov, a renowned Russian
ethnographer, explains, The theme of deportation and its untold suffering dominated Chechen political
discourse...and later [was the topic of] youth pop songs....People began to believe that to end any
continuing discrimination against them, the Chechens had to assume control over the republic, (2004,
p. 32). The culmination of hundreds of years of common suffering, the forced deportation and
repatriation resonates today as primary source of Chechen defiance of Russian rule. The political and

battery fully charged all the time. On the type of Li ion battery of antiquity, if too long is plugged in it
will be overheating or it could cause an explosion (in some cases). That will ultimately reduce the
capacity of the load and the battery lifespan.
But then again, these days the charger and smartphone is smart enough to prevent this from
happening. Charging too long indeed still can cause degradation on battery life, but with the
technology now, it can be prevented and minimized as much as possible, keep the battery between
20% 80%, with this proven way will extend battery life itself. And the good news is the charge the
battery overnight when Oprekers sleep, even to the full, not much effect negatively to the battery at
this time is different on the battery in the old

37. Anne Bradstreet Verses Upon The Burning Of Our House Summary
Almost all natural disasters end up destroying some sort of our possessions. Lately, these disasters
have been happening quite frequently, such as Hurricane Harvey and Irma and the earthquake in
Mexico. Could this mean the faith in God is decreasing? Perhaps it could for Anne Bradstreet. In
Verses Upon the Burning of Our House Bradstreet uses alliteration, rhyme, inversion, and metaphors
to make a point about God s importance over the worth of materialism. By using alliteration,
Bradstreet means to emphasize certain words to make sure the reader stops and thinks as to why these
words are used. In this poem, she uses it to reiterate her strong feelings towards her possessions at the
beginning. She believes she absolutely needs these belongings to feel whole. During the fire, Anne
Bradstreet felt as if she had lost a pet or maybe even a child. Her possessions meant more to her than
anything. She uses alliteration again towards the end of her poem, however, this time is different. Now
Bradstreet notices how vain she really is and asks God for strength in this distress. She understands
almost fully that God s worth is so much greater than anything she s ever had in her house.
Throughout the entire poem, Bradstreet uses rhyme, despite few being off rhyme and a couple not
rhyming at all. She does this especially in the middle of the poem to show how she recognizes God s
power reigning down on her. Anne Bradstreet said goodbye to her vanity as she knew it was all up to
God at this point. She no longer cared about her belongings like she did previously because they were
all His to begin with. At this moment, Bradstreet has more faith than ever before by understanding that
her life is in God s hands. On the other hand, she begins to reminisce on all the great memories she
had with her belongings whether it included visitors or just herself. In the line When by the ruins oft I
passed My sorrowing eyes aside did cast And here and there the places spy Where oft I sat and long
did lie, she infers that she is filled with grief and sadness of memories once made. Bradstreet uses
inversion often to sound pretentious in a way because of her vanity and numerous possessions. All of
her pleasant things are now gone, no

and a look at the industries non profit organizations lobbying expenditures and issues they contributed
to.
Lobbying is when special interest groups hire and pay a professional advocate to argue for specific
legislation in law making bodies such as Congress. It has been going on since the Country s inception
and happens at every level of government. Corporations do most of it, and usually target
congresspersons, but executive agency officials and US Supreme Court Appointments have been
included.
A 2009 study found that, in some cases, the money spent on lobbying had a rate of return over
22,000% times what was spent. It estimated that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the late 1970 s scientists concluded that products releasing carbonflourochloride (CFC) was causing
the ozone to deplete. The ozone layer is a protective layer from the sun s rays and depleting the ozone
layer allowed the stronger, harmful to health on earth, rays to get through. International action was
taken in 1987 and the Montreal Protocol came into being. It was an international treaty to phase out
CFC producing products. It went into effect in 1988 and has achieved international success. Once the
Montreal Protocol had been agreed to the World Health Organization released information on the
harmful effects CFC s were having on the ozone
