My Experience In High School Essay
It was a cool fall day, the pleasant cool breeze against my face, as I make my way down the road to
the rendezvous point. I arrive at the high school, and realize I m slightly early. I put the skateboard on
the ground and proceed to attempt to ride it, thankful that no one was there to see. Though I enjoy
skating, the point of meeting at the high school was so that no one had to see our novice attempts at it.
After five minutes of failing to get the board to leave the ground with me remaining on it, Raith and

In Nazi Germany the youth played a very important role in the years leading up to World War II as
well as fighting in the war. Hitler controlled and shaped the youth many ways including The Hitler
Youth Program(HJ) for boys or the League of German Maidens(BDM) for girls. In just the HJ, there
were 8.8 million youth at the start of the war. That is more than enough people to cause a problem.
They could do the most good and cause the most destruction if not controlled and Hitler knew that. He
indoctrinated the youth by surrounding them with Nazi propaganda and by rewriting German history.
Some other things that influenced Germany were the youth resistances such as the Swing Kids and the

Each witch responds almost instantly as if continuing the sentence like one being. This crates the
atmosphere of a spell or a chant. This enables them to see past the present in to the future such as
when they say when the battles lost and won , this suggests that they already know the outcome they

The research project my group and I decided to do was on teen depression. We wanted teens to be
more familiar with this major teen issue and how it affects our daily lives. Teen depression is a major
concern and it is not fully acknowledged within high schools. Many people even adults don t

indicate that one in five children have some sort of mental, behavioral, or emotional problem, and that

Many people who have read Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan believe that Esperanza and her
mother should have stayed in Mexico, but in my opinion, I believe that they were right to leave for
California. If they stayed, they would have had to face several consequences, one being having to live
with Esperanza s uncle, despicable Tio Luis. At the same time, when they went to California, they did
not have to leave everything behind, it was a choice they made. After all, as Esperanza herself said in
the book, Do not ever be afraid to start over. (p. 253)
Esperanza and her mother made the choice to leave Mexico and go to California to work and escape
Tio Luis, which I believe to be a good decision. Before going, Esperanza was spoiled, rich, and quite
full of herself, living in a high social class family, and in general thought of herself better than others.
At first, she was against leaving everything she knew and loved, but in the end, found herself liking
California. Esperanza made new friends, in particular, Isabel, who taught her many things, even
