Art and Children

11. Norway is one of many countries to adopt a
“Constitutional Bill of Rights for Children”
...and they take that very seriously.

14. Norway was the first country in the world to establish an
Ombudsman for Children in 1981.

16. The ombudsman for children is an independent official
who is responsible for protecting the rights of children
by addressing specific complaints and by conducting
general advocacy.

17. Selvstendighet -Independence
National independence only dates from 1905, prior to that,
Norway existed in union with Sweden for 100 years and
before that 400 years under Danish rule.

19. As a result of this long-awaited independence,
Norwegian culture became something to explore
and celebrate...

22. And Culture begins and continues...

Norway, in a sense, is still “in creation”...
