skipping. Park, Benbow, and Lubunski (2013) used the Study of Mathematically Precocious
Youth, a 40 year longitudinal study, to determine if skipping a grade has long term effects on
performance in STEM fields. The main goal was to find if individuals who skipped a grade after
identification at or before thirteen years of age were more likely to receive advanced degrees
and accomplishments in STEM fields, reach those achievements faster than their peers who did
not skip a grade, and were more productive in their careers at midcareer. Participants were chosen
from the first three cohorts of the previous study, and were only used if they scored 390 or higher
on the math subtest of the SAT. In the present study, to determine the accomplishments of the

In most states, teenagers who send or receive sexually explicit photographs via cell
phone, known as sexting , risk felony child pornography charges and the stigma of being listed
on the sex offender registry for life. The fact that sexting can fall under child pornography laws
has created some heated conversations and understandably so. There are numerous thoughts and
opinions on the matter. The majority of the time, sexting in teenagers isn t meant to be
malicious, isn t child pornography therefore shouldn t carry such a like punishment.
Teenagers sending a sext to another teenager isn t meant as a malicious act but rather a
way of flirting and letting the other person know they are interested in them in most cases.
While this behavior may cross moral lines it should not ruin their lives as a blatant crossing of

are meant to hurt someones reputation then that is a different story. Many states today are
struggling to write laws that create clear lines regarding this problem. Sexting can be very

Experiment 20: Reactivities of Some Alkyl Halides
Purpose: The purpose of this experiment is to examine the reactivities of various alkyl halides
under both SN2 and SN1 reaction conditions. The alkyl halides will be examined based on the
substrate types and solvent the reaction takes place in.
Procedure: For the first part of this experiment, six dry test tubes were obtained and labeled
accordingly to test the following halides: 2 chlorobutane, 2 bromobutane, 1 chlorobutane, 1
bromobutane, 2 chloro 2 methylpropane, and bromobenzene. To each of the six test tubes 2ml
of 15% sodium iodide in acetone was added. 4 drops of the appropriate halide was added to the
test tube labeled for that specific halide. After adding the halide, the test tube was then shaken to
mix thoroughly. If a precipitate formed the time it took was recorded. Since none of the solutions
formed a precipitate at room temperature after five minutes, the test tubes were placed inside of a
hot bath at about 50В°C. After one minute, the test tubes were taken out of the hot bath and
allowed to cool. If any test tubes formed a precipitate, the time it took was recorded on a table. For
the second part of the experiment, again six dry test tubes were obtained and labeled accordingly to
test the following halides: 2 chlorobutane, 2 bromobutane, 1 chlorobutane, 1 bromobutane, 2 chloro

The present study seeks to determine the relationship between the socio economic position of
families and the consumption of electrical energy generated by them. In this study, the most
common indicator (although it is not the most appropriate) regarding the subject, will be taken as a
reference of socioeconomic position; the social stratum. Regarding to the consumption, a data
collection will be made of two sample populations, A and B. Population A corresponds to 50
families associated with a public institution, while B corresponds to the same number of families,

consumption in KWh and the stratum assigned to the dwelling, both stipulated in the invoice of the

It is discussed that we as individuals must see the beauty around us and learn to appreciate it, not

environment, they lose their innocence and an air of sexuality engulfs the young women. There
is a conflict in the portrayal of repressed and expressed sexuality behaviour as well as the
complete opposite, such as the headmistress who tends to deny any sort of sexual forces and the
young girls who seem to yearn to act on these desires. The
