Sartre argues in Existentialism is a Humanism that existence precedes essence, meaning humans define themselves through their free actions rather than having a predetermined essence. He believes humans have radical freedom and are condemned to be free, which also means they are responsible for their actions. Sartre seeks to portray existentialism as a humanistic philosophy that is opposed to determinism and focused on individual freedom and choice.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

2. The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System Essay
Methods One major method that will be used will be the statistics taken from the Behavioral Risk
Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) provided by the NC department of health. Also, data will be
used for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Trust for America s Health study, done for the
year 2015. Both of these will give pertinent data on what factors may increase obesity over the target
population. While the method of this surveillance may use the BRFSS, there can be many more other
methods that can be used. In evaluating a financial project, majority of the times the methods used
during the evaluations will be quantitative, in order to prove financial gain (Makarova Sokolva, 2014).
The same quantitative method can also be used in two different ways within this project. The first
method used for quantitative reporting, would be as the same as Makarova Sokolva mentioned, which
would be using it as a financial indicator of the overall success of the project (Makarova Sokolva,
2014). As stated earlier, obese individuals spend about 1,429 dollars more on health care than a
normal individual (Finkelstein, Trodgdon, Cohen Dietz, 2009). If an analyst wanted to take this
quantitative method, they would use the amount of money saved per year, over the course of an
individual s life, as a way to show that the evaluation of a plan was successful. To further this, if the
surveillance saw one person stay below obese for 25 years, this would yield a total savings of around

3. Dbq Appeasement
The Munich agreement aka Czechoslovak crisis is the most notoriously known example of the
appeasement policy. In 1938, the British government was facing decision to allow surrender of
Czechoslovak´s Sudeten to Hitler. Two years early in 1936, Britain had already gone through the
situation under similar circumstances, when Hitler firstly had tested Britain´s firm policy. It was
obvious that Germany had already shaken off the consequences of the World War One the Great
Depression from its shoulders and started expended. Whereas, Britain was militarily limited and was
dealing with other threats in the Far East, Germany was gaining strength and rearming. One of the

The ground defence never was the British strong strongpoint; the Royal Air Force was under
reorganization and the British Navy was preoccupied in other parts of the World. Therefore, during the
Rhineland crisis, when German´s military forces enter into Rhineland, the appeasement policy was
choosen to attain some advantages to ease potential greater threat. It is highlighted by Ripsman and
Levy in following quote: That appeasement in the Rhineland crisis was motivated by a desire to buy
time for rearmament is confirmed by minutes of a meeting of the Cabinet Subcommittee on Foreign
Affairs in late March. It has some logic that the appeasing was used during Rhineland crisis. However,
it is harder to understand, why it was used same assumption during the Czechoslovak crisis. It was
obvious that the rearming Rhineland was not for Hitler enough and he became greedier. The
significant turning point in choosing appeasing could be in a sense of the importance of eastern
countries for Britain. According to Record, Britain was not military strong enough to engage in the
war for the countries that were not Britain´s main concern. For the decision makers like Chamberlain
became more critical to create favourable links with Germany. There were few reasons for that such as
improving diplomatic ties with Germany, for instance, preserving peace in Europe, avoiding of any
future dispute with Germany or even having potential partner against the Soviet Union, which was
less desirable ally for Britain than Germany was. Overall, it seemed that British appeasing was more
advantageous that time, because the war itself would have brought too many risks. The 1930s was a
demanding period of the time and the British Empire became facing the emerging rivals. To solve
some threats, there was need to find some compromise or at least to choose lesser

4. Essay on Superman vs. Christ
Faster than a speeding bullet, stronger than a locomotive, jumps tall buildings in a single bound.
Superman is known throughout the world for being the savior of a city called Metropolis. In every
comic book, movie, or action figure ever presented to the public, Superman is a handsome, strong man
who can defeat all odds at all times. The movie Superman was a success, showing how the superhero
saved lives and yet lived a humble life. As one watches the movie, though, he might notice the many
similarities between the plot of the movie and the story of Christ s coming. Superman, savior of the
city Metropolis, mirrors the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.
Throughout the movie Superman, the names and the actions of the characters were ... Show more

At the beginning of the movie, it shows three people standing on trial and a vote that was to be
decided by Jor el. Zod, who was one of two men on trial, told Jor el to let him go and that he would let
Jor el have reign over the new world, which is also said when the devil is speaking to God and trying
to keep himself out of what was to become Hell. One of the strongest points in the movie that showed
itself to be on the same path as Christ s coming was when Jor el said the father in the son, and the son
in the father, before he was to send Kah lel off into the universe towards Earth. Another moment was
when Kah lel throws the crystal and his father appears to tell his son that he is pleased with him and
that he should now start his ministry after roaming the wilderness for the past twelve years. Not only
does this scene in the movie agree with the Bible s story of Christ s twelve lost years, but it also is
similar to when Christ was baptized by John. When Christ s baptism took place in the river Jordan, a
voice from Heaven came down upon the crowd and said, This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am
well pleased. From the beginning to end of the movie, there are times in which Superman looked to be
modeled after the story of Christ s coming.
While the names and the actions matched up for both stories, there were also cases where an object s
appearance alone made the viewer

5. Life of Peru s Indigenous People Essay
Throughout the history of Latin American countries, like Peru there has been dramatic change in the
overall way of life. These changes are largely due to external influences on the international level such
as the Spanish conquest of Andean territories. However no matter whether the process of change was
political, economic, social or cultural, they all have similarities and are interconnected. These different
types of change are closely intertwined and influence one another while linking the local level of life
with foreign (on an (inter)national level) events and forces. Also along with these changes, some
aspects of indigenous life remain stable and continue throughout these external influences. In this
essay I will discuss continuity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a result the Peruvian indigenous people set up multiple ecological zones along these mountain
sides (slopes) to increase the efficiency of their production. This technique known as verticality let the
people diversify their subsistence strategies and become more self sufficing. This division of
production zones were setup into four distinct production zones. Some of these zones were used for
animal domestication and tuber production while others were used for the production of certain crops
(maize, potatoes, tropical fruits, coca ) that grew best at their zones climatic conditions. These
indigenous people would then travel to different zones throughout the day to manage and exploit these
lands. However the distances between these four zones were extreme in some measures. Therefore in
order to increase traveling efficiency, these people would settle in the middle of these ecological zones
to give each production division adequate attention. Another important feature of the Incan indigenous
agricultural system was water. In order to conserve water and structure it s usage most efficiently, the
people followed the value of equity. They saw water as a form of common property that belongs to
everyone. As a result they handled water management by abiding to the two specific principles of
uniformity and proportionality. The people controlled and developed the land so that everyone
received water with the same frequency. Therefore if everyone irrigated their

Different bodies but single soul Eternal love tale of Radha Krishna:
If there is any emotion which give the most purest and divine feeling, and lets you acts your best than
that is love.
Often it is alleged, love is the most wonderful thing that can ensue to a person. People are onto special
aura when they are in love. This feeling not only impinges on humans but the heavenly souls are also
pretentious with same. One such love tale is of Radha and Krishna.
According to Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu has incarnated in eight forms to visit mother Earth and to

Radha was more gorgeous and purest soul than Krishna. Women of entire universe were crazy in
Krishna s love and wanted to marry him, but Krishna fell for Radha. Both the souls carve up eternal

Humanly issues that prevented the two to become one were many. It is often said that Radha was 10
years older to Krishna. She was also engaged to some one is also one myth that comes in tale. Their
family status was furthermore not matched to that of Krishna s family. Back in that time these facts
were not only details but also the essentials factors that were considered before two people get
married. But here we are talking about the love of two entirely special souls that were far from all the
obligations of world and are already connected with their hearts.

9. American Football and Good Sportsmanship
One who plays a sport fairly and loses gracefully is how The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines
sportsmanship. What is a sportsman? The definition seems to have undergone a big change over the
years.
If children follow the example set by today s athletes, the definition would equal a sore loser. High
school sports should be a fun way to physically express yourself as an athlete, but at the same time
learn some of life s lessons, like sportsmanship, discipline, and respect. In today s society, winning
comes before everything, but if winning requires neglect of good sportsmanship, then nothing is
gained in the long run. Sportsmanship matters not only in sports, but also in the rest of our everyday

The first instance of bad sportsmanship in the story is where Bissinger describes what was said to
Boobie Miles during the previous week s football game. One of the Cooper Cougar s players said,
Com on, you tough motherfucker, com on lets see how tough you are! and you ain t nothin but a
goddamn pussy! In the Youth Sportsman Code, these comments would definitely fall under the
making sarcastic remarks about opponents and the swearing at opponents sections in the
unsportsmanlike category. Bad sportsmanship occurs again in Friday Night Lights when the
quarterback throws a bad pass as the last seconds tick off of the game clock. One of his teammates
curses him, when the right thing to do would be to say something like, good effort, better luck next
time . If the team is in a championship game and a star player violates a team sportsmanship rule
which requires removal from the game, the rule must be enforced. ( Sportsmanship ,3) The Youth
Sports Institute says to reinforce sportsmanship behaviors and penalize unsportsmanlike behaviors (
Sportsmanship ,3). The coaches should have disciplined Boobie when he was angry and threw his
shoulder pads against the wall, instead of ignoring him. Another example of bad sportsmanship
displayed by the Odessa coaching staff is when they talked bad about Boobie behind his back most of

In the United Kingdom, a census was taken every 10 years starting from 1801. With the exception of
1941 due to the Second World War, the census kept a very good idea of the current population and
assisted in predicting futures sizes. Population data for years prior to the census was provided from
directories and gazetteers as many churches took number on the size of its inhabitants. Estimated in
the 1500s, Scotland had a population of 500,000 persons, and according to the 2011 census, the
country has reached an extraordinary 5,295,000 persons. As of 2012, the birth rate was 11 births/1,000

The ratio of male to female has roughly been the same for the last seventy years, in favor of the
females 51%:49%. Divided amongst three age groups, Scotland has split the population by work
status; 17% aged under 16 (unable to work full time), 65% aged 16 64 (potentially full time workers)
and 18% aged 65 and over (retirees). Furthermore, the end tail of the retiree column has been growing
in recent times as the number of males over 100 years of age has more than doubled between the years
of 2003 and 2013. Formerly only 60 persons reached this age in a generation have now escalated to
130 males. The females, starting off substantially higher than the males, have risen as well. In 2003,
there were 470 females over the age of 100 in a single generation. That number is now 720 during the
same period as the 130 males. Obviously on a global scale, developed nations are living longer due to
better health, better lifestyles and also medical assistance. These figures do not go into detail whether
these men and women are free or are in a vegetative state, being kept alive via machine. Although not
the main reason why the nation s older population is living longer, it is certainly a contributing factor
that Scotland s leading causes of death including cancer, coronary heart disease (CHD) and stroke are
declining and stem from the impact of lifestyle

12. Totalitarianism In Nazi Germany
The discrimination of athletes leads me to the Totalitarian regime of Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany
who severely discriminated non Aryan athletes. Hitler s Nazi philosophy believed that Aryans who
were Indo Europeans with blonde hair, tall bodies, blue eyes, and sharp facial features were a superior
race (Anspach, Almog). Hitler said that he shall have no peace of mind until [he] had planted a seed of
Nordic blood wherever the population stand in need of regeneration (Trevor Roper, Weinberg 358).
Hitler believed that Aryans were superior in all social, mental, and physical aspects, so out of national
pride he strived to make all athletes in Germany pure blood Aryans. In 1933 Hitler introduced an
Aryan s only policy which barred all non Aryans, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union sports were used in order to bring the nation together and
instill a sense of nationalism among the citizens. These totalitarian states used athletic victory and
superiority to promote their party ideals whether that be Fascism or Communism. With the rise of
different parties and warring nations sports in these states became a means of developing a fit society
capable of defending a nation against outsiders. This led to the use of sport organizations as pre
military units that prepared the youth in Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union to become effective and
strong soldiers. Hitler and Stalin funded the development of sports in their totalitarian states, but at the
same time heavily discriminated and mistreated their athletes. Jewish athletes were discriminated in
both the Soviet Union and Germany and athletes in the Soviet Union had their lives ruined from heavy
doses of steroids at very young ages. In the end the totalitarian regimes in these two nations left an
everlasting mark on sports. Sports are a large part of Russia and Germany today and they have a long

disease presented vague symptoms such as weight loss, lack of energy, diarrhea, fevers and sweats,
rashes, and swollen lymph nodes. These symptoms could be caused by any viral infectious. The
unique thing is that these systems were chronic, progressive, and debilitating. Some patients presented
very bad shortness of breath and a bad cough. With this they found that the patients had a rare fungal
infection called Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (PCP). There were also some cases concerning these
symptoms in New York City. These cases are rare so the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

The bank loans include many facilities through many countries however mainly consist of a US$740

commercial paper market consist of an AUD promissory note of $600 million and as at 30th June

facilities and bonds have varying maturity dates. This is to help the company with their cash flow. For

all of them. They re segmented over the next ten years to avoid this problem.

Refugees face lots of difficulties in life, running from violence is only half the problem. Some of the
people around the world believe that wealthy countries aren t doing enough to help refugees find a
place to live; others believe they are doing more than enough. A dispute happened between countries,
people believe that United States is not giving enough support and resources to help the refugees
maintain a healthy lifestyle, others disagree. One thing that is certain though is that refugees have to
wait for a long time, before the states finally allow them to seek asylum. A large portion of the world s
population believes that the politically and economically stable countries are not doing enough to help
the migrants and refugees. United States is known for not taking in much of the refugees who were
fleeing from Syria. In his article, Kerry: U.S. to accept 85,000 refugees in 2016, Dilanian states that
Even if the U.S. took in 36,000 Syrians...that number would pale in comparison to the hundreds of
thousands that Germany is expected to accept. In brief, Germany, which is smaller than the United
States, is expecting a much larger number of refugees. CNN has claimed that out Of the 4 Million

Cheshire Cat. In the story the Cheshire Cat is a mysterious character. He appeared when he choose to
and disappeared a moment later. He had an odd sense of a personality, but spoke to Alice using wise
words and thoughts. It is not 100% clear why Carroll named this character Cheshire Cat . To grin like
a Cheshire Cat was a common phrase in Carroll s day. Its origin is unknown, but it may have
originated from a sign painter in Cheshire, who painted grinning lions on the sign boards of inns in the
area (Analysis). Even though the Cheshire Cat seemed crazy or mad he did give Alice a dose of reality
in Wonderland. He said things to her such as If you don t know where you re going, any road will get
you there or Every adventure requires a first step . He had helped Alice realize that in order to find out
who she is or where she must go she has to be brave and take the first step. The Chesire Cat relates to
the idea of the child adult conflict that Alice may be going through because he helps her understand
that she has to move forward in order to find out where to go and if she is not sure what path to take in
her life than she has endless possibilities. The Cheshire Cat was an important character that helped
Alice come to her senses. Aside from the real life symbolism many of the characters possessed,

For a while now, the family had known that their dog would pass away. But as the months stretched
out and they researched their options, they came to the conclusion that it would be happier to have him

their attention, and they decided to put the time and hope into letting their pup live again. Of course,
the clone wouldn t be exactly the same, but as the years pass by, who knows what might happen?

First and foremost, cloning and genetic modification has the most promise of curing and eliminating
genetic diseases. Genetic diseases are a misfortune in human society, with diseases like sickle cell
anemia and several kinds of cancer causing death and suffering around the world. For example, in the
article, Engineering the Better Baby: Benefits and Dangers , the author states that, The world is
plagued with hereditary diseases that cause very real misery... it is absurd to think that genetic
engineering will not be used to eliminate them (1). This presents the idea that while genetic
engineering has a bad reputation in fiction, the scientific community would be using it to remove
dangerous diseases rather than create a bird human hybrid with wings and special powers or a dog that
can fly and lift heavy objects. These creations, while cool sounding, would not be possible with the
lack of genetic knowledge that researchers have now. They can barely clone a dog, let alone create one
that can fly. Moreover, the knowledge gained from modification and cloning can be used to save lives.
Because of their uses in stem cell research, pharmaceuticals, and the study of diseases like cancer,
doing things such as cloning an embryo and removing chances of disease would be a huge benefit to
humans. If people were able to be healthier, they d live longer, happier lives and not need to spend
money on expensive treatments for incurable diseases. To illustrate, when Arthur Caplan states,
Pressure from parents seeking to prevent their children and grandchildren from suffering will
undoubtedly overwhelm concerns about the possibility that others will use the same technology to
build superkids... the sick should not be held hostage to the worries about possible dangers or abusers

Hera, Athena, etc. However, there is another figure in Greek mythology that many people should also

Thrombophilia defines inherited and acquired conditions associated with an increased thrombotic risk,

Thromboembolic events have long been treated with the most commonly used anticoagulant drug,
heparin that is rapidly replaced by low molecular weight heparin (LMWH). A variety of point of care
(POC) coagulation platforms have been commercially available for many years now, providing more

While the prevention of a thrombotic event achieved by an anticoagulant, over or under dosing can
give rise to excessive bleeding or severe clotting respectively, therefore closely link therapy with
monitoring is essential. Several techniques have been developed to address the disadvantages of large
sample volumes, by multiplexing of the assays in which various parameters or analytes are measured
concurrently from a single sample.
While laboratories became unable to provide results in time frames needed to allow rapid turnaround
that would allow timely intervention of anticoagulant therapy, the requirement for POC coagulation
monitoring techniques became essential (Harris, Castro López and Killard, 2013).
In this review, I will focus on the availability of POC diagnostic tests for monitoring the anticoagulant
therapy for thrombophilia. I will first describe the conventional clot based assays and then, I will

When considering Egypt, most people think about pyramids and mummification. In general,
historians, and not the common person, are educated on the history of Egypt and the details of their

will most often assume that it involves cowboys and ranch style living. Western civilization is also
known as European civilization; and since Egypt borders the Mediterranean, it can be classified as
part of Europe. Therefore, it can lead to mistaken preconceptions about the history of Egypt. In order
to understand why Egyptian history isn t associated with western culture, one must study where their
cultures differ. The roots of Western civilization all started in Western Europe, following the end of the
Roman Empire. It took shape in medieval Europe, with its feudal society, Christian religion, and
growing economic dynamism. During the modern era, Western civilization started to grow and spread
from Europe to the Americas, Australia, and other parts of the world. The level of economic power it
began to develop was greater than any other civilization had seen. There were also scientific
discoveries, technological advancements, and the transformation to personal freedom that took part
during this era. Christianity helped shape Western civilization in many ways. Christian theology

The tie up that Uber has with Paytm enables very easy payment on the go for most customers as they
do not have to have cash on them at the moment of the ride.
Uber, with their Paytm collaboration, has the possibility for a customer to share their bill with other

Demand for Ola is increasing rapidly and despite being financially sound, catching up to this pace is
difficult.
Overall, the body language and demeanour of the drivers is not as polite as that of others in the

As in Uber, the pricing structure that fluctuates this much is not something that is taken well by
customers.
Their technology standards are not as strong as Uber.
Their promotions, although catching up, are not as strong as Uber s.

Their fleet size is very large but the vehicle quality has major scope for improvement.

reality. Serial killers, or the criminally insane lack conscience and that s why they are able to harm one
or a bunch of people, without realizing how it affects others. I am interested in the minds of serial
killers who are cold hearted and have no remorse for what they have done. I believe that there is
specific reason deep down hidden behind their heartless persona that has caused them to act a violent
way. I take interest in the minds of the criminally insane because they tend to lose the ability to
function mentally due to a traumatic experience or experiences. ... Show more content on

35. The Causes Of Genocide Against The Rohingya
Rejected peoples in South Asia have been subjected ethnic cleansing as a result of newly formed
nation states throughout the 20th century. Since before Burma s independence in 1947, it is no
exception. The first reports of ethnic cleansing in Burma were as early as 1978 after the Burmese
military had attempted to deport the ethnic minority known as the Rohingya in neighboring
Bangladesh. Since then the situation has entered a continued spiral of alleged state sponsored
oppression against the Rohingya. The warning signs of genocide against the Rohingya is becoming
ever so increasing at a rapid rate over the last decade. In May 2015, the United States Holocaust
Memorial Museum issued a report stating that the deep concern that so many preconditions for
genocide are already in place. On the 6th of February 2017, the UN High Commissioner for Human
Rights officially classified that the violence against the Rohingya could be a genocide.
This conflict spans multiple generations of Burmese with a deep seeded hatred towards the Rohingya,
and creates questions that would help understand the root causes for the Rohingya genocide. Why are
the both the ethnic majority and the government in Myanmar, so driven to commit genocide on the
Rohingya minority? The answer to this question is asserted by examining the economic circumstances
in the country. Burma has faced extreme underdevelopment and corruption post the military junta
takeover in 1962. The difficult economic circumstances in the state of Myanmar are the primary
driving force for the majority to commit genocide on the Rohingya by what they view as the most
rational solution to better their economic circumstances. In order to illustrate this assertion and draw
conclusions from it, we must analyze the major economic risk factors and warning signs that have
been prevalent in Burmese history since the British colonial period. This paper will first outline who
the Rohingya people are, their origins, and their significance to Burmese history. Secondly, the
economic situation in Myanmar as well as the logic of understanding this atrocity from an economic
circumstance. Lastly, the response and treatment by the military and ethnic majority towards the
Rohingya will be

36. The Value Of Goodwill And Goodwill Essay
What is goodwill? Based on the information on the internet, goodwill is defined as the excess of
purchase price over the fair market value of a company s identifiable assets and liabilities. Moreover,
goodwill is reported as a non current asset on the balance sheet. But the U.S companies are not
required to amortize the record amount of goodwill since 2001. Because the value of goodwill is
highly subjective, the accounting standard requires the goodwill to have impairment test at least once
per year in order to determine the amount of goodwill. However, when reporting the goodwill in terms
of valuation and impairment, there are some rules that people need to follow under the US GAAP.
Moreover, there are also some similarities and differences regarding valuation and impairment of
goodwill between US GAAP(Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS(International
Financial Reporting Standards). First of all, under US GAAP on ASC 805, the value of goodwill can
be recognized initially by measuring any excess of the fair value of the acquired business over the fair
value of the net identifiable assets acquired. According to the ASC 805 30 30 1 from the FASB
website, it mentions that The acquirer shall recognize goodwill as of the acquisition date, measured as
the excess of (a) over (b): (a) The aggregate of the following: (1) The consideration transferred
measured in accordance with this Section, which generally requires acquisition date fair value

In accepting their fate, Sisyphus and Oedipus have abandoned hope, and so their fate does not seem
horrible to them. On the contrary, they have finally found the only genuine happiness.
Oedipus becomes a tragic figure only when he becomes aware that he has killed his father and married
his mother. He also remarks that both Sisyphus and Oedipus are ultimately happy, that they conclude
that all is well.
Sisyphus: He knows that he will struggle forever and he knows that this struggle will get him
nowhere. This awareness is precisely the same awareness that an absurd man has in this life.
The above point also relates to Oedipus where he knows that being acceptable for his his situations
and faith, his point of view for society will change and will learn to decide his own faith. freedom of
choice being able understand that only you control your own life.
Camus identifies Sisyphus as the archetypal absurd hero, both for his behavior on earth and for his
punishment in the underworld. He displays scorn for the gods, a hatred of death, and a passion for life.
