This stereotype generally depicts Native Americans as inherently violent and warlike people,
who go around with tomahawks screaming and covered in war paint. These people go around
scalping people and performing human sacrifices. Sometimes, they are even considered to have
committed minimal cannibalism. But ultimately, the Native Americans known as bloodthirsty
savages are the bad guys. In addition, these Native Americans are considered to be animalistic
because not only are they typically depicted as partially naked, but also because they enjoy
killing others, especially Europeans.1 For example, John Vanderlyn depicts this in the 1804
painting The Death of Jane McCrea , where two Native American men are holding down Jane
while one is about to scalp her with a tomahawk. The Native Americans in this painting are
considered animalistic because they are half naked and they seem to be enjoying killing her.6
This bloodthirsty savage stereotype is also depicted in the film by the Huron war party being
brutal and mean. This is shown in the same scene mentioned earlier where the British soldiers
were taking the women through the woods and the Huron war party viciously started killing and
scalping the Englishmen in front of the women.3 Another example of this stereotype is when
the Hurons sentenced Major Hayward to be burned alive.4 This is an example of a human
sacrifice. Lastly, this stereotype is evident in the film when Magua rips out Grey Hair s, Captain
Munro s heart as revenge for the pain and suffering he caused him years before, when he was
taken as a slave by the Mohawks, lost his wife to another man, and his daughters being killed.
Magua not only wanted to rip out Captain Munro s heart as his was metaphorically, but he also
want him to know that he was planning on killing his daughters as well so his seed would forever

vein multiple times, both under real time ultrasound guidance and even later on blindly. I was
able to get blood return and hit the vein; however, I was not able to advance the guidewire. I was
able to advance it one time and put the catheter in, and it was nonfunctioning. I had to take the
catheter out and tried multiple other times on the right IJ vein without success. That procedure was
terminated. Pressure was applied. There was no cervical hematoma whatsoever. The patient was
uncomfortable because of the length of the procedure but did well otherwise. Hemodynamically,
he was unchanged, and his oxygen saturations remained stable.I prepped the IJ vein area in the
usual fashion. One percent lidocaine was used for local anesthesia. Again, the left IJ vein was

The purpose of this study was to understand the college students perceptions of slut shaming
discourse. The research indicated that there was a strong correlation between cultural expectations
and slut shaming. According to the results, the perceptions of slut shaming are influenced by
aspects such as: class, culture, media, gender, feminism, ethnicity, religion, and sexuality. Overall,
college students were found to be on crossfire of slut shaming discourse on a college campus. It
was concluded, based on the research, the participants have significantly identified with judging a
woman by the way she dresses. It is recommended that further research be devoted to slut shaming
perceptions in different: cultures, groups, regions, religions, organizations, media and institutions.

Traveling from China, Mexico, and everywhere in between, prospective parents are seeking for a
safer and more economically reliable future for their babies. Parents are traveling to the United
States to give birth in exchange for a U.S. citizenship for their child. 1 This trade is due to the 14th
Amendment which clearly states, All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to
the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside
(Staff). This practice is more commonly known as birth tourism. The most targeted states for birth
tourism include California and Florida (Feere, Birth Tourists Come from Around the Globe ). For
parents traveling across the Atlantic Ocean Miami is a popular destination because of the location,
weather, cheaper prices, and multiple options of trustworthy hospitals. However, for parents
traveling from countries like Taiwan and China, California is a more popular destination. Growing
more and more popular every year with around 300,000 born per year, birth tourism is a growing
problem in the United States (Feere, Birthright Citizenship in the United States: 2 A Global
Comparison ).
One of the main concerns of birth tourism is simply how it affects the U.S. economy. The United
States does not have the money nor resources to support these extra 300,000 births per year. 3
