The Origin Story

ABOUT TAMPA PREP
• Independent 6-12 co-ed college prep school
founded in downtown Tampa in 1974
• 700 students
• 1:1 iPad, Active Learning Environments
• During lunch clubs and afterschool time built
into school structure

MAKING PLANS
• Discussed ideas for library leaders with students
• Listened to episodes of School Librarians United
Podcast
• Winter 2022 - Announced to students that we were
starting a leadership team, sent out applications
• January 2023 - First meeting
