The Brazilian Constitution was enacted 30 years ago in 1988 after a long period of dictatorship. It was drafted over two years by a committee of jurists and parliamentarians to establish democracy and protect citizens' rights. While critics argue it created unattainable goals, supporters say it is misunderstood. Most importantly, it inaugurated a new democratic era and ensured stability during political crises. As Brazil nears the 30th anniversary of the Constitution, it is experiencing its greatest constitutional crisis since 1988, making it important to understand the dimensions of the crisis and future prospects.

Another month comes to an end and, experiencing a major crisis, the Burson-Marsteller Public Affairs team has finalized another Monthly Newsletter, with national and international politics issues.
