LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

2. Corporate Capacity And Authority
Corporate capacity and authority were essential legal concepts which contained rules for when and
how a company ought to be legally recognised as having validly acted and entered into a binding
contract with third parties. Broadly speaking, the rules which applied to corporate capacity were the
ultra vires doctrine and the doctrine of constructive notice. In regard to the concept of corporate
authority, both the ultra vires doctrine and the doctrine of constructive notice also applied however
their application was curtailed by the Turquand rule. The Turquand rule therefore only applied when
the authority of directors was in question. A definitional overview of the concepts of corporate
capacity and authority will be provided below, along with brief description of the doctrine of
constructive notice and the Turquand rule. The thesis deals with the above concepts and discusses how
the Companies Act 71 of 2008 (the Act) modified the law, particularly, by extending the legal capacity
of a company and extinguishing or modifying the above rules which had previously restricted a
company s ability ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For a company to transact with third parties and to enter into valid business dealings there must be a
valid contract concluded in order to create legally binding obligations enforceable between the
company and the third party. For a contract to be valid the company must have the requisite legal
capacity to enter into the contract and the directors or officers representing the company must have the
authority to act on its behalf. Within company law, capacity and authority are interrelated principles
however it is important to note that each is an entirely different and separate legal concept from the
other. Capacity relates to the legal competency and the powers of the company while authority relates
to the power of a company s director or officer to act on behalf of the

Death, its implications, and unanswered mysteries are foremost concerns to the characters of
Gilgamesh. At once an impetus for action and an existential fear, the complex role of death is
especially evident in the aftermath of Enkidu s demise, which forces Gilgamesh to confront his own
relationship to mortality. This confrontation ultimately reveals a central dissonance within Gilgamesh,
as a king and warrior, he wields near absolute power over his enemies and subjects, yet he is impotent
to prevent the death of Enkidu. A major aspect of Gilgamesh s reaction to the loss of Enkidu s is his
desire to circumvent death, thereby asserting power over it. Gilgamesh promises Enkidu a jewel
encrusted statue, and calls upon both civilization and the

4. The Execution Of A New Strategy
Execution of a new strategy is always a taxing task. It necessitates the possession of significant
resources, and also a well designed and engaged administrative composition. Good policy will
designate a specific person who or entity who is accountable for implementing the new policy. At the
outset of the execution of a new policy, a group should be identified that can oversee the new strategy
in all pertinent sectors of the organization to assure various efforts within management are
synchronized.
In Jordan, an expansion synchronization team was set up in the governmental bureau that collected
information from each of the government directorates within the kingdom s Education Ministry to
oversee the implementation of diverse programs connected to the education transformation that
included the ICT Plan that the government wished to develop (Ministry of Economics, 2008). In
Singapore, the Educational Technology Division teamed up with divisions within the government s
education ministry in such activities as curriculum preparation, development and training of teachers
in ICT and the execution of their long range and short range plans. In addition, the Ministry of
Education worked closely with the government agencies that are held responsible for the national ICT
grid and for increasing an aggressive ICT industry in Singapore (Coppock, Smith Howell, 2007).

Project Title: Towards Efficient security in Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks
1. Abstract:
With ever increasing on road traffic and dynamic nature of road conditions an intelligent
transportation system (ITS) is essential. Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETS) takes the responsibility
in implementing ITS and is a promising communication scenario for traffic management and safety.
VANETs possess unique characteristics like high mobility of nodes, rapid change in the neighbor
nodes, stringent deadline for authentication, association times, no fixed infrastructure etc. Though
VANETs closely resembles Mobile Ad hoc Networks traditional security mechanisms are not suitable.
This dissertation aims to describe and analyze the most representative VANET security developments
and propose an efficient implementation focusing on key exchange and key management aspects,
simulating and evaluating the same in OPNET environment.

6. Essay on Freudian Analysis of Marigolds
Freudian Analysis of Marigolds Most of the time there is a moment in life where one realizes they
have lost all innocence and gained some compassion. Marigolds shows how one young girl transferred
from a child to young adult through her life experiences. Throughout this story another young, but at
the same time old in her prime, lady s experiences are revealed: the author s. In this short story,
Marigolds, Eugenia Collier s subconscious is unmasked through symbolism, diction, and Lizabeth s
actions. In the beginning, the author explains how this young girl, Lizabeth, lived in the culturally
deprived neighborhood during the depression. Lizabeth is at the age where she is just beginning to
become a young woman and is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Obviously the author has lived through the depression and was black because one could not write
something so accurate in accordance to that time period and have one feel the deep emotional impact
of her writings without experiencing it personally. In the first sentence she writes ...all I seem to
remember is dust the brown, crumbly dust of late summer arid, sterile dust that gets in to the eyes and
makes them water, gets into the throat and between the toes of the bare brown feet. In this phrase the
words give a harsh, cruel feeling of how the depression was, which could then explain how she
remembers the depression and that it was a hard time for her. Most likely it was a significantly
hopeless moment in her life. In the next paragraph she writes When the memory of those marigolds
flashes across my mind, a strange nostalgia comes with it and remains long after the picture has faded.
Knowing the marigolds symbolize hope the word nostalgia gives a feeling of longing, since the
denotative meaning is yearning. When stating the marigolds give a strange nostalgia the author could
be thinking how she, sometime in her life, longed to have hope. She needed to have something to look
forward to or just something to look at to give her hope. Later, towards the end of the story she
explains ...Innocence involves an unseeing acceptance of things at face value, an ignorance of the area
below the surface. The words she uses give a sense of wisdom

7. The United States Collective Identity
A true basis of what it means to be an American can be thoroughly argued on the grounds of what
constitutes an American, is an American born or is an American made? The collective identity of the
American populace is the shared characteristics, the same drive, which ultimately results in oneness.
The unique American cultural identity is the shared revolutionary nature, which drives Americans
toward progressive social changes. The original thirteen colonies faced a rather odd situation in their
nascent years. Far enough away from Britain to not completely live under their control, the colonies
began to form a new way of defining themselves. Rather than simply being British colonies they
wanted to act as a sovereign nation in their own right. Fearful of the colonies gaining too much power
the British government implemented a set of Acts, such as the Intolerable Act and the Stamp Act, with
the intention of them limiting the colonies freedoms and smothering any chance of rebellion.
However, the colonist took this as an act of oppression instead and rose above it in order to regain
their personal freedoms. They felt that their society had plateaued into mediocrity under the rule of
King George as they didn t have protected rights (The American Pageant, 126 133). In the hopes of
ridding themselves of the British rule war broke out, the crude colonist soldiers fighting against the
well polished British army, something revolutionary all in itself as it has never been done

8. Symbolism In The Story Of An Hour By Kate Chopin
The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin is an immaculate illustration of how a short story can have the
ability to make a considerable impact on an entire nation. Chopin manipulates her writing effectively
with her outstanding applications of certain literary techniques. Moreover, these techniques such as
pathos, irony and symbolism, amplify the intensity and overall impact women oppression had on
Chopin and many other women during the late nineteenth century. In addition, the story overshadows
the protagonist, Mrs. Mallard, and her persevering fight to overcome the mournful news regarding the
death of her husband. She was informed about her husband s death by her sister Josephine, who told
her in a rather gentle fashion which ultimately caused Mrs. Mallard to go to the hospital with an
unfortunate affliction of heart trouble. Initially, Mrs. Mallard rhapsodically struggled in trying to cope
with this news as it left her in a paralyzed state of sorrow but she then realized that she gained a great
deal of freedom due to to her husband s death. Furthermore, Chopin leaves out many details within her
text, which obligates the reader to fill in the gaps within Chopin s iceberg imagery like writing and
gain a perception of women s mistreatment during the mid 1800 s. Kate Chopin inserts many
applications of pathos within her writing.
There stood, facing the open window, a comfortable, roomy armchair. Into this she sank, pressed

9. The s Dolphin Threat Management Plan
Introduction
People and dolphins have shared New Zealand s coastal waters for centuries. In recent years there has
been increasing awareness of marine mammals and the threats they face within our coastal
environments (Department of Conservation1, n.d.). The Banks Peninsula Marine Mammal Sanctuary
was implemented in 1988 as a result of conflict between local and commercial fisherman, and the
endangered Hector s dolphin. Due to increasing concern despite the sanctuary s set up, the Hector s
and Maui s Dolphin Threat Management Plan was drafted in 2007 to place further restrictions on
fishing practices within the area. The formation of the sanctuary has created a safer habitat for the
local dolphin population, but in the process has negatively affected the livelihoods of many local
fishermen within the region.
The Banks Peninsula Marine Mammal Sanctuary 1988
The Hector s dolphin (Cephalorhynchus hectori) is one of the world s smallest species of marine
dolphin. These dolphins are only found within the inshore waters off the coast of New Zealand. There
are currently four distinct populations found off the west coast of the North Island, and the west, east,
and south coasts of the South Island (Department of Conservation2, n.d.; World Wildlife Fund, n.d.).
There are two sub species of Hector s dolphin in existence; the South Island Hector s dolphin which is
found off the coast of the South Island, and the Maui s dolphin which is found off the west coast of the

10. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Trade Loans
Trade loans: Trade loans refer to the credit or funds granted to manufactures and traders by the
suppliers of raw material, finished goods, components, etc. Usually business enterprises buy supplies
on a thirty to ninety days credit and this is why it is known as trade loans. This means that the goods
are delivered but payments are not made until the expiry of period of the loan. This type of credit does
not make the funds available in cash but it facilitates purchases without making immediate payment.
This is quite a popular source of finance especially for business professionals.
Bank loans: Bank loans are usually granted by commercial banks as short term finance to business
firms. When a certain amount is advanced by a bank repayable after a specified period, it is known as
bank loan. Such advance is credited to a separate loan account and the borrower has to pay interest on
the whole amount of loan irrespective of the amount of loan actually drawn. Usually loans are granted
against security of assets. Bank loans are usually granted by way of loans such as cash credit, credit
card, overdraft and discounted bills and more.

11. Tax Reform Persuasive Speech
It amazes me to sit before parliament and witness the ignorance among my fellow noblemen, bishops,
knights, and burgesses who seem to rightfully believe the best course of action for England to take, is
to increase taxes in order to sustain a military buildup. We are some of the most well educated
individuals of this kingdom, yet many of you are so caught up in your own petulance, that you fail to
realize just how unrealizable this legislation is. England s defenses are well kept, and have proven
time and time again to be able to withstand foreign aggression. Rather than focusing on tax reform
that would only harm the hard working laborers of this nation, we should instead focus our efforts
towards maintaining low tax rates for these individuals while we continue to revive our economy.
There are few in this nation who could healthy support and pay for this tax, especially after the rise of
enclosures in 1517. The only way to do this is to underwrite princely ambition, for passion is a
dangerous trait which more often than not leads us astray from what is truly important. The current
state of England s defense is more than optimal. We have numerous castles which have withstood the
brunt of invasion and protected our great nations. Take Dover for example which overlooks the
English Channel, and the Strait of Dover. God has graced us with ... Show more content on

12. Authority And American Usage By David Foster Wallace
David Foster Wallace s essay, Authority and American Usage is essentially a book review of
lexicographer Bryan A. Garner s Dictionary of Modern American Usage. However, Wallace takes his
review further than just an analysis of the dictionary, but rather the necessity of usage rules in our
society. Wallace sums up his argument on pages 393 394, writing: Who s to say which changes are
natural and good and which are corruptions? And when Bryan Garner or E. Ward Gilman do in fact
presume to say, why should we believe them? These sorts of questions are not new, but they do now
have a certain urgency. America is in the midst of a protracted Crisis of Authority in matters of
language. In brief, the same sorts of political upheavals that produced

15. The Sword Is Far Too Large For A Boy Of Six Essay
Percival waited until late in the afternoon to visit Rion, allowing the boy plenty of time to clean up,
collect himself, and hopefully feel less humiliated by the goings on that had occurred earlier that
morning.
In his haste to run away, Rion had left his sword on the castle training field. As Percival strode down
to the boy s cottage, he examined the weapon. The blade wasn t bad, a little pitted and dull, perhaps,
and the balance wasn t perfect, but it was a serviceable weapon, adequate to defend one s property and
livestock. However, the sword was far too large for a boy of six. Boys of that age needed to start out
with smaller, wooden weapons until they became surer of their footing and their coordination
improved. Percival planned to tell Rion s mother to keep the sword far away from the child for at least
the next few years.
Percival recalled Rion s home sat at the end of Main Road, shielded from the sun by several ancient
oak trees. He approached the small cottage and smiled. This would be a pleasant place to grow up, one
where a boy might climb the towering trees and look out across the Lower Town, or rest in the shade
after a hard morning of chores and playing. But without a father, the pain of loss would always linger
in the background.
Percival paused beneath the tree shade for a moment and took in the home s appearance. Someone had
taken their time to build the structure. The wattle and daub home was small, but carefully built with

Laocoön and His Sons Muscles contorting in anguish, fangs brutally piercing the flesh, faces
drowning in suffering. This intense visual is shockingly manifested through marble in the sculpture
Laocoön and His Sons by Hagesandros, Polydoros, and Athenodoros of Rhodes. This alluring
orchestra of artistic elements is the perfect compilation of technical perfection and emotional
expression. The exaggerated drama of the piece is the style of the Greek s Hellenistic period. All
things considered, Laocoön and His Sons possess both exquisite formal components and content and
has the capability to provide insight into both the culture of the Greeks, as well as the attitudes of
humanity towards its enemies. To commence, the formal composition of Laocoön and His Sons is
enticing. The piece is carved in marble with a height of eight feet. The marble white hue of the statue
seems to accentuate the intricate anatomy of the figures. The three males are arranged upon a base. On
one of the far sides of the platform, there resides a pillar style seating with drapery which dangles off
in a waterfall like manner. The central figure, and by far the most substantial in size, Laocoön, sits at
an angular position. This angular posture generates a dynamic composition. His two sons, Antiphantes
and Thymbraeus, struggle at his side as sea serpents attack all three of the figures. There appear to be
two sea serpents, one that is prominently digging its fangs into Laocoön s pelvis. Moreover, a

17. Role of Women in Early Republic
The role of women in the Early Republic is a topic mostly overlooked by historians when dealing with
this era of American history. The triumphs of the Revolution and the early events of the new nation
were done solely by men. However, women had their own political societies and even participated in
the Revolution. Women s roles began to take a major turn after the war with Great Britain. This was
due in part to their involvement in the war and female patriotism. Others believed it was due to the
easier access to formal education for young women. Whatever the reason, it inspired women to
challenge the social structure of the Early Republic. The roles of women were changing in the Early
Republic. However, progress was slow and little change ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kreber notes that women played a number of key roles during the revolution including participating in
various boycotts, enforcement of economic norms, nursing, or even the production of clothing for
soldiers1. These positions were often needed but were not exulted because of the women filling these
roles. This is what led Kreber to investigate the role of female patriotism in the revolution2. Kreber
says that the revolution changed the minds of women in the Early Republic. She said that the
Revolution argued for women s rights due to its claims of equality and freedom.3 Since women were
actively allowed to participate in political and war time activities, it created a spark for change in the
woman s role. These activities gave women a new meaning to the word equality amongst their
superior male counterparts. For the first time, women began to challenge the status quo of being
confined to house life. Kreber describes the four major areas that women were effected by as a result
of the revolution were womien education, derture, divorce, and reading4. These were the four biggest
areas because women wanted to be like men. These were all areas men prided themselves in.
Education was heavily constricted because of the belief of the woman s place in the home. Kreber
says even a contemporary women s magazine warned, learning in men was the road to
preferment...consequently very opposite were the results of the same in women5. Kreber saw the

Education throughout the world is viewed as a privilege. It s a chance for individuals to expand their
knowledge. It helps create a successful path for the social and economical structures of a society. Or at
least, that s the idea. People like Horace Mann argue that education is , the great equalizer of the
conditions of men, making education sound essential and liberating. Others, like Paulo Freire, argue
that education is suffering of narration sickness and is in need of a reform because the system is tied to
an extensive social structure of oppression. Freire introduces The Banking Concept of Education in
which he addresses that the current educational system involves one type of educator; the banking
concept teacher. These teachers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Freire notes , In the banking concept of education, knowledge is a gift bestowed by those who
consider themselves knowledgeable upon those whom they consider to know nothing... they never
discover that they educate the teacher. He is claiming that the teachers display themselves as the only
fountain of knowledge in the classroom, creating oppression and disengagement towards the students
because they are led to believe that they can t make any contributions in the classroom. Freire also
states that having one educator results in narration sickness because the teacher talks about reality as if
it were motionless, static, compartmentalized, and predictable extracting the students from reality.
This narration sickness is Freire s problem with the banking concept because he believes it limits the
students in believing that they have the power to change their life and social

Have you ever been in a situation where you either ran away or fought it off? If you have then you
have possibly experienced the fight or flight response. The fight or flight response can be very
beneficial to your survival, but in today s world it can also be very harmful to you.
Our fight or flight response originally protected us from saber tooth tigers (The Fight or Flight
Response, paragraph 7). Today, most threats that we encounter are not a threat to our survival. People
are mostly worried about being late to work or school, phone s running out of power or even the gas

Remember that the natural conclusion of fight or flight is vigorous physical activity. When we
exercise, we metabolize excessive stress hormones restoring our body and mind to a calmer, more
relaxed state.
For the purpose of stress reduction and counteracting the fight or flight response, we do not need to
exercise for 30 to 40 minutes. Any form of activity where we work up a sweat for five minutes will
effectively metabolize off and prevent the excessive buildup of stress hormones. Get down and do 50
pushups, 50 sit ups, jumping jacks, jump rope, run in place, run up and down the stairs, whatever. By
exercising to the point of sweating, we effectively counteract the ill effects of the fight of flight
response, drawing it to its natural conclusion.
Sometimes when I m upset, I close the door to my office, do 25 quick pushups, work up a light sweat,
and return to work, clearer and calmer. Frequent repetitions of short exercise are easy to fit into our
busy schedules. For full cardiovascular fitness, longer periods of exercise do have additional benefits,

You don t need a sociology degree to understand movements calcify into institutions, then decay and
crumble. So as we near the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther s nailing 95 thesis to a church door,
why is the Reformation still a global movement?
In Africa today there are more than twice as many Lutherans than in the United States. Even in
America God continues to bring new people to faith and transform the lives of His followers
I m convinced the movement is fueled by a relationship. A quote of Luther started me down this path:
Though I lived as a religious leader without reproach, I felt, with the most disturbed conscience
imaginable, that I was a sinner before God. I did not love, indeed I hated the righteous God who
punishes sinners.

People are born in sin but have no legitimate way to atone for those sins. Unfair treatment angers a lot
of people, especially people like Luther who desperately try to play by the rules.
I think the Roman Catholic teaching struck a much deeper chord in Luther. We all long for the
affirmation of our fathers. We also have a deep need for acceptance by our Heavenly Father.
According to the Church, Luther was never certain he would receive the favor of the Heavenly Father,
let alone enter heaven. This was devastating.
Much is made of the three solas of the Reformation: Scripture alone, Grace alone and Faith alone. I
am not convinced even when taken together these three were enough to fuel a movement that has
lasted almost half a millennium.
Instead, I think the three solas were indispensable as conditions for the catalyst of the movement.
Luther himself can show us the Reformation s spark. He spent a lifetime longing for acceptance by
God the Father, yet was convinced this is impossible. Salvation by God s grace through faith in Jesus
was a revelation to Luther. I mean this

How Reaganomics Destroyed the Middle Class Reaganomics are the economic policies that were set

trickle down economics. There are four pillars that are associated with the economic policy of Reagan
and they include: reduce government economic regulation, reduce growth of how much the
government spends, reduce the marginal tax rates such as capital gains tax and income tax and lastly
reduce the level of inflation by controlling money supply growth. These four policies were expected to

The government decided to fund government organizations such as Environmental Protection Agency
instead of funding the social security (Barone 120). This means that the department was left without
funds hence there was no money that could be used to pay those who were working in the social
security majority of which were middle class people. This shows how the middle class people were
destroyed as a result of Reaganomics which forced the middle class people to pay more taxes. In the
end of his two terms as the president of the U.S., 5% of the population which comprise of the rich had
received double wealth and economic share of ownership while 95% of the population which
comprise of the middle class people and the poor had no progress when it comes to immersion of
wealth instead they had lost more of their wealth due to inflation and high tax rates (Barone 120).
Nevertheless, the social security meant to benefit the rich poor since they were the ones who owned
property. The middle class people did not obtain any form of social security thus were forced to
protect their own wealth.
Unregulated economy: the main reason why Reaganomics policy was implemented was to stimulate
economic growth. In the beginning, the policy managed to stimulate economic growth but this was as
a result of increased spending among the middle class people and not as a result of tax cuts.

28. U-High Creek Water Quality Analysis
The water quality of the U High creek was found to be excellent. Though the water has excellent
quality, some other creeks have very poor water quality. This bad water is due to pollution, and
pollution comes from humans. One way water quality can be tainted is pollution from farms. Fertilizer
and farm waste can be very harmful to creek water quality. The fertilizer used on crops/ fields can
runoff the fields and into creeks due to lots of rain. The chemical pollution in the water leads to high
level of nitrate and phosphate. Algae uses this to grow very fast (eutrophication) and then dies and
breaks down by bacteria which quickly multiple and use up all the oxygen killing the organisms in the
water (Lenntech, 1998 2016). A second way that creeks can become polluted is through chemical
waste from industrial companies. Chemical waste from industrial processes are sometimes

When you re stressed out where do you go? We all have a place where we can go and relieve our

Where the never ending piles of class work and the constant nagging of friends seem to dissolve like
kool aid in water until left with nothing but a smooth mixture of me, myself, and I. For me this place

of squeaking shoes and balls bouncing on the hardwood floors. I go to sit on the aged wooden
bleachers and watch the game that is currently taking place. The weight my worries are being lifted a
little as I get wrapped up in the game. The guard is bringing the ball up the court his eyes scanning for
an opening to either pass or shoot the ball. The opposing team has every man covered leaving little to
no room for the guard and his teammates to set up the play. As soon as the guard sets foot pass half
court two defenders go to trap him. Wrong move. The guard quickly, almost effortlessly sidesteps one
of the defenders and dribbles the ball through the leg of the other and proceeds to pass the ball to one
of his teammates who take the ball straight to the rim. I can t help but smile at this perfectly executed
play as the game continues. There are several more plays like this made on both sides but, they all
seem to dull in comparison with the first one.
While their game is coming to an end, my problems slowly begin to creep their way back into my
mind as I begin to stretch. Loosing up my body for the intense workout that is coming. As they get off
the court I decide to begin my workout with some basic ball handling drills. Through the left leg,
behind the back, around the right, switch, through the right leg, behind the back, around the left leg,
repeat. The ball flowing smoothly through my legs like water as I continue to increase the pace until I
ve done this ten times on each leg. As I continue my problems are beginning to matter less and less.
Next, I start my shooting drills and I am soon welcomed by the feeling of the ball leaving my hand.

To understand the variation in responses, I would identify the measures of dispersion for self efficacy
scores and each of the maltreatment subcategories (past and present, victim, and offender against
minor and against partner incidents). Discussion
Needless to say, this survey would in no way provide conclusive information regarding how to break
the cycle of violence. It would, however, provide insight into the connection that may exist between a
person s level of self efficacy and their experience of abuse, both as victim and perpetrator. This
would be extremely beneficial to anyone involved in assisting abuse victims because it would provide
the knowledge and motivation to help clients develop self efficacy, thereby arming them with at least
one of the requisite tools to safeguard them against becoming a victim or offender. My hope is that by
enhancing victims self efficacy, future generations can be spared because victims will go forward
making healthier choices than did their predecessors. That is assuming, of course, that my hypothesis
is correct, and a high level of self efficacy is correlated to low involvement in the cycle of violence.

When the second amendment was written, in 1791, assault weapons did not exist. Further, there was
never intended to include assault weapons in such amendment. It was written solely for people to be
able to use weapons for self protection. In fact, the first assault rifle made was the StG 44 in 1944,
