Ethical Hacking And Information Security Essay
Ethical Hacking and Information Security
Merriam Webster defines Hacker as, a person who secretly gets access to a computer system in order
to get information, cause damage. But what if I told you that having a hacker is necessary? Ethical
Hacking is paramount to the security of our Information Technologies (IT). The task of testing your
computers and network for security vulnerabilities and plugging the vulnerabilities you find before the
opposition gets a chance to exploit them. Without having the ability to do what devious personnel can
do inside your IT, you will never fully understand the holes in your security.
It all began in the 1960s at MIT, origin of the term hacker , but the science dates back to 1903 to the
first ever documented hacking of an electronic device. In 1932, Marian Rejewski hacked the German
Enigma Machine. The Enigma machine was an electromechanical device, equipped with a 26 letter
keyboard and 26 lamps, relating to the letters of the alphabet. Inside was a set of wired drums (rotors
and a reflector) that jumbled the input. The Enigma used a plug board to swap pairs of letters, and the
encryption varied from one key press to the next. For two operators to communicate, both Enigma
machines had to be set up in the same way. The large number of possibilities for setting the rotors and
the plug board combined to form an exponential number of configurations, and the settings were
changed daily, so the machine code had to be broken each day. Marian s

When and why did Ravel compose Ma mère l Oye (Mother Goose Suites)? How does each movement
of the piece convey the story line of the fairytales? Compare and contrast the piano version vs. the
orchestrated version of the piece.
Ravel began writing Ma mère l Oye between the years 1908 and 1910 as a four hand piano suite
meant for children, which later grew into a fully orchestrated 5 movement ballet with the help of
Jacques Rouché. Ravel began composing the piano suite for one of his dear friend s children. After the
piece premiered in 1910, it became very popular which then called for Jacques Rouché s attention. He
believed the piece could be reworked and orchestrated for a ballet. Ravel had to face the challenge of
turning the piano suite into a work of art set for a bigger stage. While Ravel composed he knew he had
to come up with a narrative for the ballet. He still wanted to maintain the youthfulness, and child like
fun of the piece by creating a story based off of the story of Sleeping Beauty. The Suite is made up of
five movements which are: 1. La pavane de la Belle au bois dormant (Pavane of the Sleeping Beauty)
2. Petit Poucet (Tom Thumb) 3. Laideronnette, Impératrice des Pagodes ( Little Ugly One, Empress of
the Pagodas) 4. Les Entretiens de la Belle et de la Bête (The conversations of Beauty and the Beast) 5.

Thesis Statement For Universal Education
Countless countries benefit from a capitalistic system, but others, like Denmark, the Netherlands, and
the Czech Republic, have a more socialistic giving society, offering free or low cost schools, universal
medical care, as well as supportive welfare to citizens. The world would gain from a higher quality of
free education. The United States would benefit from educating people free of charge. My belief of a
fair universal education offered to everyone, no matter their place of origin, is shaped by experiencing
the benefits of free education growing up in Czechoslovakia, by living in the Netherlands, and the
United States. As a child growing up under the strict influence of forbidden profits of capitalism and
receiving an education free of charge, socialistic ideals shape my worldview. Being born in
Czechoslovakia (the Czech Republic since 1993) under a communist, socialist regime with an
underlying suppressed democracy, my worldview is based on child s idealistic views of living together
with beliefs of equality of all people. Even though the restricted media and the limited amount of
imported goods made it easier for the communist government to influence and dictate the mainstream
population, it shielded me from the political world, because I was a child. Therefore, I was only
gaining the benefits of the system free medical care and an excellent education. In the 4th Grade,
government appointed school commissioners selected many students, including me and my

Tom Wolfe s The Right Stuff
After that, Alan Shepard is chosen to be the first man in space and he perfectly landing in the ocean at
the end of his space travel. Then, the other six Astronauts lobbed into space one by one, and all of
them are eventually landed safely. Hence, the press and media treat them as American Heroes despite
their mistakes, such as the Gus Grissom mistakenly pops the top off the capsule at the wrong time. As
the result, NASA became the topic of focus for the people all over the country, which spurred by the
government s propaganda and local media reporting. Meanwhile, Edwards Air Force Base is working
on the cultivation of astronauts and development of the rocket planes even the public is not paying
attention to them. In particular, the legendary ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the beginning, Tom Wolfe s curiosity and interest for the space program promotes him to write the
book about the test pilots, astronauts, and the United State space program. In this book, Wolfe is trying
to send the unique message to the reader, which is that the career of the test pilots and astronauts are
determined by their possession of the right stuff . Moreover, he also uses massive logical evidence
with persuasive sources to prove his opinions. Besides, on the background of the space race between
the Soviet Union and the United States during the Cold War period, seven American astronauts risk
their lives by going into space. After they made unbelievable achievements and contributions in the
space for their country, the citizens regarded them as the American heroes in single combat against the
powerful Russians. In the book, Tom Wolfe depicts the right stuff such as bravery, experience, and the
coolness of the test pilots and seven astronauts, which is in order to prove them as the epitome of the
American Heroism. From this book, the conclusion is that the Heroism is an influential element for
the country during that time period. In essence, the true story of the test pilots and the seven astronauts
conquered the sound barrier and space with their own heroism tell us that this world needs more
people with heroism to challenge the impossible

Oxygen
Oxygen
Oxygen and its compounds play a key role in many of the important processes of life and industry.
Oxygen in the biosphere is essential in the processes of respiration and metabolism, the means by
which animals derive the energy needed to sustain life. Furthermore, oxygen is the most abundant
element at the surface of the Earth. In combined form it is found in ores, earths, rocks, and gemstones,
as well as in all living organisms. Oxygen is a gaseous chemical element in
Group VA of the periodic table. The chemical symbol for atomic oxygen is O, its atomic number is 8,
and its atomic weight is 15.9994. Elemental oxygen is known principally in the gaseous form as the
diatomic molecule, which makes up 20.95% of the volume of dry air. ... Show more content on

Several different structures are known for solid oxygen: solid type III, from the lowest temperatures
achievable to 23.66 K; type II, from 23.66 to 43.76
K; and type I, from 43.76 to 54.39 K. The critical temperature for oxygen, the temperature above
which it is impossible to liquefy the gas no matter how much pressure is applied, is 154.3 K ( 118.9
deg C; 181.9 deg F). The pressure of liquid and gaseous oxygen coexisting in equilibrium at the
critical temperature is 49.7 atmospheres. Oxygen gas exhibits a slight but important solubility in
water. Molecular oxygen dissolved in water is required by aquatic organisms for their metabolic
processes and is ultimately responsible for the oxidation and removal of organic wastes in water. The
solubilities of gases depend on the temperature of the solution and the pressure of the gas over the
solution. At 20 deg C (68 deg F) and an oxygen pressure of one atmosphere, the solubility of
O(2) in water is about 45 grams of oxygen per cubic meter of water, or 45 ppm
(parts per million). Molecular diatomic oxygen is a fairly stable molecule requiring a dissociation
energy (the energy required to dissociate one mole of molecular oxygen in its ground state into two
moles of atomic oxygen in its ground state) of 493.6 kilojoules per mole. The molecule is dissociated
by ultraviolet radiation of any wavelength shorter than 193 nm. Solar radiation striking stratospheric
oxygen dissociates it into atomic oxygen for this reason.

Unequal Distribution Of Wealth In The United States
United States have the most unequal distribution of wealth
The United States is on the way of becoming a corrupted under developed country rather than the
leader of develop nations, because of the unequal distribution of wealth. Study show over 75% of the
United States wealth is own by the 10% percent of its richest people. You could compare that to the
other countries like Israel 68%, Italy 49% and New Zealand 57%, it shows that The United States is
mostly wealth concentrated. The other 90% owns only 25% of the United States Wealth.

Cleopatr A Brief Summary Of Savannah s Monkeys
The story that I read was a book about a Doberman dog named Luther. Luther had a best friend named
Cleopatra (she is a monkey) and an owner named Savannah. One day Cleopatra was kidnap and went
missing. Savannah was worried about her monkey, but also worried about Luther because he got really
depressed, he knew Cleopatra was gone. Savannah asked her friends Ben, and Griffin to help her look
for Cleopatra, but all they could find was a weird looking banana. The very next day their class went
on a field trip to a floating zoo. When Savannah walked into the zoo, the first thing that caught her eye
was a monkey that looked exactly like Cleopatra. Savannah, Ben, and Griffin ran to the monkey cage.
On the bottom it spelled ELENOR printed in bold. Savannah was so furious. She went to go talk to the

Animal Removal Services
ANIMAL REMOVAL SERVICES
Animal Removal services are very important agencies in bringing back the peace, comfort and
tranquility in our homes. Animals are very clever and they will always try to find shelter or even
nesting places when weather changes become unbearable either too hot or just a drop in the
temperatures or when a new one is about to join the camp. Such places might just be in our homes
most particularly in the upper roof where there are less destruction and a bit of warmth from the
chimney. However, this might pose really great challenge to the house owner such as bad smell or
even health related complications arising from the animals waste. They can also cause a lot of
challenges to the piping system, wiring and insulation which could cause great harm to the owner. But,
how does not get to evict such animals from his home especially if you are the scary type ,considering
it s not a good idea to just seal entry points as that would cause them to either die and the odor would
be unbearable and even worse to handle? Thanks to the various agencies of wildlife experts that render
such services! Let s look at the one discussed below: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Challenges Of Bre-X
Challenges for Bre X Minerals in Indonesia Bre X Minerals Ltd. faced numerous challenges in 1996,
largest among them being the potential loss of the majority stake in property that could yield upwards
of 100 million ounces of gold. The Indonesian government was threatening to redistribute ownership
of Busang, the mining region in which Bre X had property rights, due to its fear that Bre X was a short
term player not serious about extracting the gold or a long term commitment in Indonesia. These fears
were justified given Bre X s small size (it had a net loss of $Cdn. 366,677 in 1995 compared to a net
income of $Cdn. 218 million from Barrick Gold Corp., a potential government corporate partner) and

The Indonesian government has shown, through its interactions with Bre X, that it is easily influenced
by the demands of President Suharto s family and by pressures from respected individuals. For
example, the Barrick proposal received endorsement from the government only after Barrick hired
Suharto s daughter (Tutut) and encouragement from former U.S. President George Bush and former
Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. Despite making an alliance with PT Panutan Duta in late
October, Bre X was late in recognizing the importance of relationship building in conducting business
in Indonesia. With only eight days to negotiate the deal with Barrick, Bre X does not have time to
develop the necessary connections to succeed in Indonesia without a competent partner. Strong
property rights are an essential component in any successful market economy. Although Indonesia has
regulations regarding mineral exploration and extraction, the government has found ways to
manipulate the regulations to best serve its interests. Making it through the various stages of mining
approval requires complex paperwork and numerous negotiations with various government offices.
Bre X had navigated this system and received a Contract of Work (CoW) to mine the Southeast Zone.

Models amd Stages of Memory Essay
In order to understand what memory is one can start by understanding the opposite of it which is
known as the condition named amnesia. Amnesia is the incapability and failure to recollect
information which previously was stored in ones memory (Evans, 1979). If that is the case then
memory must be the capability to process information in order to recollect it as data remains
maintained (Maltin, 2005). Ideally psychologists have believes that memory consist of three aspects,
these basic stages collaborate when an event is recalled. These stages which are being outline are the
encoding, storage and retrieval stages of memory (Ghoneim, 2001). The three stages work in turns in
order to collect information and situate it together to create the ... Show more content on

One of their main arguments was that information is processed in three different ways including the
structural processing, phonemic processing and semantic processing. So, how do these processes
work? Structural processing and phonemic processing are both division found within the shallow
process. Shallow processing simply implicates the maintenance through rehearsal which heads
towards ones short term maintenance of information as repetition helps and individual hold data in the
STM, which is the only rehearsal that happens within the multi store model. The shallow form of
processing information can be seen as just physical where one looks at information, when one is
looking at how the information sounds like it is known as phonetics which is still part of shallow
processing (Li, 2010).
Now, deep processing on the other hand involves elaboration rehearsal. This is a more meaningful
analysis as it involve; images, thinking, associations of information and so on, which leads to better
recollection. And this is where semantic processing comes in, this is the happening of when one
encodes the meaning of a word and relate it back to similar words consisting similar meaning as a
word is giving a meaning or linking to previous knowledge (Surprenant and Neath, 2013).
Craik and Tulving (1975) conducted an experiment with participants who were made to believe that
the test which was taken was to aid the finding to test for ones reaction times. However

diagnosed at an early age, it was a controlling force of her everyday life. That changed in 1997 when

A Baby activity gym is also known as a baby activity mat. This helps explain exactly what it is.
Usually, a baby s activity gym is a mat lying flat on the floor. Your baby lies on his back and has a

You re wrong. Be careful to read the box before you buy. Some activity gyms for babies are
technically pillows or wedges. This type of mats is used simply to hold your baby.
The goal of an activity gym is that your baby can develop sensory movement and abilities. If they are
positioned by a device and cannot move, this thwarts the real purpose.
Visually appealing
Babies are colorblind when they are born and can only see objects up close. However, baby mats are
ideal for babies to develop their skills until they learn to crawl. Once they crawl, you can put them on
the mat, and they will be off and roaming in a few minutes. Therefore, as your baby wears the play
mat, it must be visually appealing to your baby so it will attract your attention. This promotes
movement and aid in development.
All babies love mirrors. They like to look at themselves or think they see another baby.
Many activity gyms include lights that easily attract baby s attention. Make sure they don t have

1. The results obtained clearly prove the hypothesis stated as the average rate of reaction of the chalk

The average rate of reaction in seconds in room temperature water was 57.34, this decreased to 68.93
seconds when the chalk was placed in iced water and then when placed in boiling water there was a
dramatic increase in the rate of reaction to 23.77 seconds.

Gabriel Conroy As A Repetitive Life In The Dead By James...
Being stuck in a repetitive life causes people to be disillusioned to true meanings of life and feelings
of others, while also becoming emotionally distant themselves. Having a traditional lifestyle
consisting of the same routines separates those who are living a life of passion with those who are
unable to see their uninteresting existence. In the novella The Dead by James Joyce, he uses
symbolism and contrast to portray Gabriel Conroy as a dynamic character who turns his ignorant, self
satisfied and repetitive life into a journey of self discovery. who leads an unfulfilled, apathetic, and
ignorant life through the use of symbolism and contrast Throughout the short story, Joyce uses the
literary device symbolism to show how Gabriel Conroy comes to the realization of his unsatisfying
life and that he thinks more about his unimportant actions, desires, and tedious routines than being
passionate and having an impactful life. One example of a symbol the author uses is snow, which has
multiple representations for Gabriel. Towards the beginning of the book it indicates death, paralysis,
and hidden truth, while at the end it symbolizes him seeking a new beginning filled with purity. For
instance, the quote A light fringe of snow lay like a cape on the shoulders of his overcoat and like
toecaps on the toes of his goloshes... (139) illustrates the connection Gabriel has with death as it is
metaphorically visible on him, and shows that it not only is impending on him, but

Egypt Pyramid Be In Triangle Essay
Why Must The Egypt Pyramid Be In Triangle? An Arab proverb has once said, man fears time, yet
time fears the pyramids. People are always no match for the time, as the time pass by, people are
getting older, and may have already walk to the end of life. However, pyramids seem timeless. They
had to go through four thousand years at least, and approximately hundred and seven of them are still
extant in the world without much damage or erosion. As is known to all, the Egypt pyramid has four

This concept was fully applied in their pyramid. First of all, the whole entire pyramidal represents the
worship to their sun god, Re. Since the fourth dynasty, the Egypt kings considered themselves as the
son of Re, and this title became the most important elements of their official.3 Therefore, when they
had to build the pyramid, they will choose the plateau with the high elevation since they thought they
could have the closest contact with the sun god in there. The side of the pyramid is an ascending
triangle, which represents the element of fire, illumination , and energy. Whereas the wide base is
symbolic of congregate, struggle, and fight, meaning everyone was trying to get themselves out of the
lowest level of the society.4 In another side, some Egyptologists believe, the pyramid had the sloping
side, so the dead pharaoh could symbolically climb up to the sky and live forever. Since the life in this
world is temporarily, but the afterlife is eternal. All of those representations indicate the importance,
and expectancy of their afterlife, as well as the loyalty to the god. No one will ever bother to waste

Import And Local Production Of Cement Importation
Source: CMAN In spite of the local production, cement importation has been high over the years
because of the out dated manufacturing technology, high interest rates and exchange rate fluctuations.
These factors have contributed to the manufacturing overhead both in terms of the high cost of raw
materials and other inputs in the manufacturing and distribution process. Also, the easy access and low
cost of acquiring an import license in comparison with difficulty in import license acquisition for
manufacturing equipment spare parts also discouraged local manufacturing (Mojekwu, Idowu, Sode,

the snake to an actual man is showing personification for the snake. Dickinson also says that the snake
Occasionally rides (2), which is obviously something a person does so that is showing personification
yet again. In line seventeen the snake is referred to as one of Nature s People (17). In addition to
personification being shown in this poem so is the use of similes. The snake shows up suddenly and

The Treatment of Phobias Essay
Everyone in life has fears, it s a natural way our brains process certain objects or situations that may
be dangerous. Common fears may be heights or spiders; some would rationally go out of their way to
avoid these, but this is quite different from having a phobia. A phobia is an irrational distress with a
particular object or concept/idea. Although fears are well known now, they do not have to disrupt the
lives of those who are living them. Throughout the essay there will be three different treatments with
three different phobias in ways to cure a phobia; the first is a trauma focused treatment approach for
travel phobia, assessment and treatment for childhood phobias, and hypnosis in facilitating clinical
treatment of injections. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When introduced to in vivo exposure the patients showed an increase of PTSD symptoms (Handley,
Salkovskis, Ehlers, 2008). When performing the study 125 people received TF CBT, and the
remaining 59 received EMDR + in vivo exposure . In results there was a clear sign of reduction in
mild travel anxiety with up to 7.3 sessions. Although, there were found that one treatment would be
more beneficial than the other in terms of reduction of symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD.
Overall the signs of Travel Phobia and anxiety were reduced in both methods of treatments giving the
researchers plenty of evidence for being successful in a trauma focused treatment plan.
The study case of children phobia is not like others present before it, this case suggests that that to
decrease a phobia is should be multi method, multi informant, and developmentally sensitive. Another
aspect that differs from others is that it will assess the home living of children as well as their
caregivers. Their study examined predictors of treatment outcome for 106 phobic and anxious youth
(aged 6 to 17 years) and their parents. The treatment included trials such as: diagnostic interviewing,
fear survey schedules, anxiety questionnaires and behavioral observations. Taking methods from the
DSM IV C there are separate questionnaires for both parent and child on different phobia types
(animal, injection, and environment) on a scale from one to eight of interference. In traditional

Toy Advertising And Race Analysis
The affects on children from toy and toy advertising on how society views race. In this day and age it
s hard to imagine toys being sold called Jolly Nigger Banks but in 1880 it was commonplace. (Barton
Somerville, 2012) We have come so far from then but we haven t come far enough. This paper will
argue that toy and toy advertising affects how society views race
Sociologist Doris Wilkinson said: Play objects are not merely items for fun, but function directly and
indirectly to maintain existing beliefs and behavioral systems. They are not material trivialities... Both
games and toys provide a looking glass reflection of the larger society; and one cannot offer a

Evidence Of Momentum Effect On The Market, Asian Markets,...
2 Evidence of Momentum Effect
The following presents the studies examined on the momentum effect in several markets. The markets
have been divided into the United States market, European market, Asian market, and emerging
market.
2.1 Portfolio formation
The most commonly used method in the literature to investigate the existence of momentum effect
was from the study by Jegadeesh and Titman (1993). In this method, the strategy was selecting stocks
based on returns in the past J months and holding them for K months (J month/K month strategy). It
was constructed as follows: At the beginning of each month t during the sample period, stocks were
ranked in ascending order based on their returns in the past J months. J was the formation period set at
3, 6, 9 and 12 months. The portfolio with the highest past returns was called the winners decile and it
contained the best 10% of the sample firms, whereas the portfolio with the lowest pasts return was
called the losers decile and it contained the worst 10% of the sample firms. In each month t, the
momentum strategy bought the winners decile and sold the losers decile, and then held for K months.
K was the holding period set at 3,6,9 and 12 months. Lastly, the strategy closed out the position started
from t K. To increase the robustness of the test, the strategy usually included portfolios with
overlapping holding periods, where in any given month t, the strategy held a group of portfolios that
were selected in the current month,

Hemigrapsus Sanguineus Research Paper
Hemigrapsus sanguineus, commonly known as the Asian Shore Crab, has been a major player in the
evolution of certain defenses of New England bivalve molluscs. Mytilus edulis, the New England blue
mussel, has been directly impacted by the predation of the Asian Shore Crab. H. sanguineus is an
invasive species to the Atlantic coast of the United States. It first appeared in the southern New
England area in 1988, presumably by trade ships from the Western Pacific. It has since spread to the
south Atlantic and is still expanding slowly northward as well (Stokstad, 2006). Introductions to new
areas by humans allow for species who would never cross evolutionary paths to do just that. These
new interactions provide a new framework and environment for novel selection pressures to present
themselves. These strong selection pressures are a piece of the puzzle for the evolutionary change of
heritable traits to occur (Freeman and Byers 2006). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
some genotypes must be more fit than others), and the traits involved in the selective response must
have a heritable component. The likelihood of an evolutionary response may be further influenced by
the demographic effects of the invasion, form of genetic variation in the native, and consistency of
selection (Strauss et al. 2006). The phenotypic plasticity of M. edulis is showcased when inducible
defenses are used in response to H.

King Louis Ix And Richard Lionheart
The Medieval period was perhaps one of the most interesting and unique time periods in history. This
time is usually viewed as a lull in progress or lacking productivity, when in reality this was one of the
most pivotal points in history. Two people who played outstanding roles in this time period were those
of King Saint Louis IX of France and Richard Lionheart I of England. Both King Louis IX and
Richard Lionheart made significant social, political, and cultural advancements to society by
contributing leadership techniques and government systems that were pivotal in the Medieval times,
yet very contrasting of each other in their execution.
King Louis IX of France was born April 25, 1214 in Poissy, France to the parents of Louis VIII of
France and Blanche of Castille. King Louis, commonly known as Saint Louis, ruled from the age of
twelve after his father s death in 1226 until his death in 1270. He was the fourth born child, but the
three before him died at young ages, and seven were born after him. As a child, Louis had temper fits
which lead to questioning of his decision making as king of France. He married Margaret of Provence
at age twenty in 1234. Margaret was the sister in law to King Henry III of England, sisters with
Eleanor of Provence.
Richard The Lionheart I of England was born September 8, 1157 in Beaumont Palace, Oxford,
England to the parents of Henry II, and Eleanor of Aquitaine. He was given the nickname Lionheart

Prayer
Prayer (Salat)
And be steadfast in prayer and regular in charity: And whatever good Ye send forth for your souls
before you, ye shall find it with Allah: For Allah sees well all that ye do. (Quran 2:110)
Salat, usually translated into English as prayer , is one of the five pillars of Islam. The other four
pillars are the Declaration of Faith (Shahadah), charity (Zakah), fasting (Sawm), and the pilgrimage to
Mecca (Hajj). Salat should be performed five times a day: daybreak (Fajr), noon (Zuhr), mid
afternoon (Asr), sunset (Maghrib), and evening (Isha). These periods also conveniently correspond
with man s daily routine activities: rising, noon break, after work, dinner, and sleep. One could ask,

In Salat, the recitations are always recited in Arabic, the sacred language of the Quran. However, a
new convert to Islam who does not know Arabic may recite verses in translation in one s own
language until one is able to memorize at least two short passages in Arabic. Mastery of such a task is
its own spiritually transforming reward.
The positions of salat consist of standing, bowing, prostrating and sitting. These physical acts are
symbolic of the spiritual states of submission, humility and adoration of Allah Most High with one s
entire body and soul. In performing them, one s heart is filled with the love of Allah, the recognition
of one s worldly existence and Allah s infinite greatness and beneficence.
The self discipline that is needed to perform salat regularly and at proper times reaffirms the human
beings total dependence on his Creator and his position as His servant. Salat is the complete
expression of man s voluntary submission to Him. It is to be performed with strict concentration,
attention and presence of heart, not simply as a mechanical, verbal and physical exercise.
So woe to the worshippers who are neglectful of their prayers. (Quran 107:4 5)
A Muslim is required to pray at the prescribed times wherever he may be but it is preferable and more
meritorious to pray in congregation with his fellow Muslims if possible. In such congregational

Reliability Of The Measurement Instrument Essay
4.3 Reliability analysis To evaluate the reliability of the measurement instrument it was developed an
internal consistency analysis through Cronbach s alpha. It is an index that takes values between 0 and
1, used to verify if the instrument is reliable and performs stable and consistent measurements
(Santesmases, 2009). Cronbach s alpha estimates the lower limit of the reliability coefficient and it is
expressed through Formula 2. (2) Where k is the number of items in the test; Si2 is the items variance
(from 1...i) and S2sum is the total test variance. This means that the reliability depends on the test
length and the covariance among its items (Santesmases, 2009). It is important to mention that it was
decided to apply a pilot test to 40 customers, with the purpose of measuring the questionnaire s
internal consistency. In the first version, the test was integrated by 22 items distributed in five
dimensions and after being undergone to Cronbach s alpha validity test, the instrument was redesigned
to 20 items, as is shown in Graphic 4. Graphic 4. Items and dimensions of final questionnaire

The State of Homelessness in the United States Essay
Homelessness became a huge problem in everywhere especially in the USA. Most people heard
homeless people, and they saw homeless people in the streets, markets, or bridges. Most people never
try to understand why there is much homelessness. Most people do not know any facts about them
seem the truth of homelessness, the state of homelessness in the United States, and the effect on
people from homelessness.
Many causes become the answers to homeless people. The most easy understanding of homelessness
is they don not have houses. Homeless people live in the streets because they do not have a house, but

pay 30% of their total income for rent. Second, mainstream programs provide a safety net for
homelessness. This net makes mainstream programs like housing assistance, welfare, and substance
support could provide what homelessness need quickly. Third, Communities created a data system to
record information about homelessness. These information could be analyzed to help people know the
cause of people become homeless, how long people become homeless, what exactly homeless people
need, and the effect of mainstream s support. Government already saw some positive influence of
these programs. The number of family homelessness decreased 43 percent in Hennepin Country. New
York creased 11 percent of homeless families was placed by a permanent housing. (National Alliance

Another correlation that was calculated was between hours of sleep per night and academic credits
hours currently enrolled in. Pearson s r was calculated as .111. This data shows a weak, negative
correlation exists, meaning that the more academic hours students are taking, the hours of sleep is not
as affected.
In response to the question, How many hours of sleep do you get on a typical night? , the mean
response was 3.39 (SD=.710) on a 5 point scale where 3 = 5 6 hours and 4 = 7 8 hours.
Overall participants reported sleeping M= 3.39 (SD=.710) around 5 8 hours.
A correlation calculated between average night of sleep as: Restless:Restful and academic credits
hours currently enrolled in was also computed. Pearson s r was calculated as 0.075. This data shows
no relationship between these two variables.
In response to the question, How many academic credit hours are you currently enrolled in? The mean
response was 3.38 (SD=.894) on a 5 point scale where 3 = 13 15 credits and 4 = 16 18 credits.
Overall participants reported having academic credits hours M=3.38 (SD=.894) that are between 3 18
credits.
Discussion
The research question revolved around whether the amount and extent of workload a student has at
their disposal, how would it affect their length and quality of sleep? My hypothesis was that as student
s workload increases, the amount of sleep they receive should decrease in length and quality. Based
off the results of the survey, my prediction

Disadvantages Of Securitization
As securitization seems to be a lucrative way for banks to not only enhance liquidity and diversify risk
but also improves their performance considerable incentive problems occurred during the turmoil and
among the different parties. Those incentive problems led to information asymmetries and moral
hazard among the involved stakeholders .As the Bank/Originator creates reference pool sells them to
the bankruptcy remote trust (such as Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac) Bankruptcy remote trust buys
reference pool and securitizes it sells them to the capital market where potential investors exists to
purchase securities purchase of securities by investors 6 gap between mortgage originators and
investors increases, it reduces the incentives for lenders to screen mortgage applicants thoroughly.
During the turmoil banks had more and better information about the Mortgage Backed Securities and
their performance value in contrast to third parties as they knew more about the mortgage applicant
and the underlying mortgage loan .As bank incentives are to issue more mortgage loans and then sell
them to bankruptcy remote trusts to securitize them, they did not bear the risk of the mortgage default
and this leads to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, the process of transfer of the receivables from the originator to the SPV involves an outlay
on account of stamp duty, which can make securitization commercially unviable in several states. If
the securitized instrument were issued as evidencing indebtedness, it would be in the form of a
debenture or bond subject to stamp duty. On the other hand, if the instrument is structured as a Pass
Through Certificate (PTC) that merely evidences title to the receivables, then such an instrument
would not attract stamp duty, as it is not an instrument provided for specifically in the charging

or if they can have life in prison.
The two most common ways of execution is lethal injection and the electric chair. The electric chair is
much more painful because it feels like you are getting electrocuted. It also takes longer for the person
to die. At the end of the nineteenth century electricity started to become more effective. For more than
a century the lethal effects of electric current was interesting researchers. Benjamin Franklin

Totalitarian Methods Of Domination
Arendt explained that totalitarian methods of domination are uniquely suited to programmes of mass
extermination such as the massacring of Jewish citizens in Germany by the Nazis (Arendt, 1979, p.
440). However, Anthony Court expands on Arendt s theory of totalitarianism by stating that previous
regimes of terror, does not simply aim to extinguish physical life but rather total terror is preceded by
the obliteration of civil and political rights as well as exclusion from the public sphere, the
confiscation of property and lastly the deportation and murder of entire extended families and their
surrounding communities (Court, 2008, p. 102). This definition is clearly seen throughout history
whether it be associated with World War II, Stalinism, ISIS, Al Qaeda or the frequent riots occurring
in western societies such as the Oakland 2009 riots, London 2011 riots or the Ferguson 2014/15 riots
with each riot strongly associated with racial tension and unrest. Each of these events have different
levels of totalitarianism but show that society does not learn from past events. Arendt explains that
totalitarianism is formed when governments have emerged as a result of the institutionalisation of
terror and violence (D Entreves, 2014). However since Stalinism and Nazism there has not been a
period of time where terror or violence has been extinguished, whether it be state racism, nationalism
or terrorism global society has not transitioned away from totalitarianism. Arendt

  • 2. Ethical Hacking And Information Security Essay Ethical Hacking and Information Security Merriam Webster defines Hacker as, a person who secretly gets access to a computer system in order to get information, cause damage. But what if I told you that having a hacker is necessary? Ethical Hacking is paramount to the security of our Information Technologies (IT). The task of testing your computers and network for security vulnerabilities and plugging the vulnerabilities you find before the opposition gets a chance to exploit them. Without having the ability to do what devious personnel can do inside your IT, you will never fully understand the holes in your security. It all began in the 1960s at MIT, origin of the term hacker , but the science dates back to 1903 to the first ever documented hacking of an electronic device. In 1932, Marian Rejewski hacked the German Enigma Machine. The Enigma machine was an electromechanical device, equipped with a 26 letter keyboard and 26 lamps, relating to the letters of the alphabet. Inside was a set of wired drums (rotors and a reflector) that jumbled the input. The Enigma used a plug board to swap pairs of letters, and the encryption varied from one key press to the next. For two operators to communicate, both Enigma machines had to be set up in the same way. The large number of possibilities for setting the rotors and the plug board combined to form an exponential number of configurations, and the settings were changed daily, so the machine code had to be broken each day. Marian s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Ma Me LOye Analysis Starr Desmond Music History Final Paper December 13th, 2017 When and why did Ravel compose Ma mère l Oye (Mother Goose Suites)? How does each movement of the piece convey the story line of the fairytales? Compare and contrast the piano version vs. the orchestrated version of the piece. Ravel began writing Ma mère l Oye between the years 1908 and 1910 as a four hand piano suite meant for children, which later grew into a fully orchestrated 5 movement ballet with the help of Jacques Rouché. Ravel began composing the piano suite for one of his dear friend s children. After the piece premiered in 1910, it became very popular which then called for Jacques Rouché s attention. He believed the piece could be reworked and orchestrated for a ballet. Ravel had to face the challenge of turning the piano suite into a work of art set for a bigger stage. While Ravel composed he knew he had to come up with a narrative for the ballet. He still wanted to maintain the youthfulness, and child like fun of the piece by creating a story based off of the story of Sleeping Beauty. The Suite is made up of five movements which are: 1. La pavane de la Belle au bois dormant (Pavane of the Sleeping Beauty) 2. Petit Poucet (Tom Thumb) 3. Laideronnette, Impératrice des Pagodes ( Little Ugly One, Empress of the Pagodas) 4. Les Entretiens de la Belle et de la Bête (The conversations of Beauty and the Beast) 5. Le jardin féerique (The Fairy Garden). The first and and final movement link all of ... • 4. Thesis Statement For Universal Education Countless countries benefit from a capitalistic system, but others, like Denmark, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic, have a more socialistic giving society, offering free or low cost schools, universal medical care, as well as supportive welfare to citizens. The world would gain from a higher quality of free education. The United States would benefit from educating people free of charge. My belief of a fair universal education offered to everyone, no matter their place of origin, is shaped by experiencing the benefits of free education growing up in Czechoslovakia, by living in the Netherlands, and the United States. As a child growing up under the strict influence of forbidden profits of capitalism and receiving an education free of charge, socialistic ideals shape my worldview. Being born in Czechoslovakia (the Czech Republic since 1993) under a communist, socialist regime with an underlying suppressed democracy, my worldview is based on child s idealistic views of living together with beliefs of equality of all people. Even though the restricted media and the limited amount of imported goods made it easier for the communist government to influence and dictate the mainstream population, it shielded me from the political world, because I was a child. Therefore, I was only gaining the benefits of the system free medical care and an excellent education. In the 4th Grade, government appointed school commissioners selected many students, including me and my ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Tom Wolfe s The Right Stuff After that, Alan Shepard is chosen to be the first man in space and he perfectly landing in the ocean at the end of his space travel. Then, the other six Astronauts lobbed into space one by one, and all of them are eventually landed safely. Hence, the press and media treat them as American Heroes despite their mistakes, such as the Gus Grissom mistakenly pops the top off the capsule at the wrong time. As the result, NASA became the topic of focus for the people all over the country, which spurred by the government s propaganda and local media reporting. Meanwhile, Edwards Air Force Base is working on the cultivation of astronauts and development of the rocket planes even the public is not paying attention to them. In particular, the legendary ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... At the beginning, Tom Wolfe s curiosity and interest for the space program promotes him to write the book about the test pilots, astronauts, and the United State space program. In this book, Wolfe is trying to send the unique message to the reader, which is that the career of the test pilots and astronauts are determined by their possession of the right stuff . Moreover, he also uses massive logical evidence with persuasive sources to prove his opinions. Besides, on the background of the space race between the Soviet Union and the United States during the Cold War period, seven American astronauts risk their lives by going into space. After they made unbelievable achievements and contributions in the space for their country, the citizens regarded them as the American heroes in single combat against the powerful Russians. In the book, Tom Wolfe depicts the right stuff such as bravery, experience, and the coolness of the test pilots and seven astronauts, which is in order to prove them as the epitome of the American Heroism. From this book, the conclusion is that the Heroism is an influential element for the country during that time period. In essence, the true story of the test pilots and the seven astronauts conquered the sound barrier and space with their own heroism tell us that this world needs more people with heroism to challenge the impossible ... • 6. Oxygen Oxygen Oxygen and its compounds play a key role in many of the important processes of life and industry. Oxygen in the biosphere is essential in the processes of respiration and metabolism, the means by which animals derive the energy needed to sustain life. Furthermore, oxygen is the most abundant element at the surface of the Earth. In combined form it is found in ores, earths, rocks, and gemstones, as well as in all living organisms. Oxygen is a gaseous chemical element in Group VA of the periodic table. The chemical symbol for atomic oxygen is O, its atomic number is 8, and its atomic weight is 15.9994. Elemental oxygen is known principally in the gaseous form as the diatomic molecule, which makes up 20.95% of the volume of dry air. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Several different structures are known for solid oxygen: solid type III, from the lowest temperatures achievable to 23.66 K; type II, from 23.66 to 43.76 K; and type I, from 43.76 to 54.39 K. The critical temperature for oxygen, the temperature above which it is impossible to liquefy the gas no matter how much pressure is applied, is 154.3 K ( 118.9 deg C; 181.9 deg F). The pressure of liquid and gaseous oxygen coexisting in equilibrium at the critical temperature is 49.7 atmospheres. Oxygen gas exhibits a slight but important solubility in water. Molecular oxygen dissolved in water is required by aquatic organisms for their metabolic processes and is ultimately responsible for the oxidation and removal of organic wastes in water. The solubilities of gases depend on the temperature of the solution and the pressure of the gas over the solution. At 20 deg C (68 deg F) and an oxygen pressure of one atmosphere, the solubility of O(2) in water is about 45 grams of oxygen per cubic meter of water, or 45 ppm (parts per million). Molecular diatomic oxygen is a fairly stable molecule requiring a dissociation energy (the energy required to dissociate one mole of molecular oxygen in its ground state into two moles of atomic oxygen in its ground state) of 493.6 kilojoules per mole. The molecule is dissociated by ultraviolet radiation of any wavelength shorter than 193 nm. Solar radiation striking stratospheric oxygen dissociates it into atomic oxygen for this reason. ... Luther had a best friend named Cleopatra (she is a monkey) and an owner named Savannah. One day Cleopatra was kidnap and went missing. Savannah was worried about her monkey, but also worried about Luther because he got really depressed, he knew Cleopatra was gone. Savannah asked her friends Ben, and Griffin to help her look for Cleopatra, but all they could find was a weird looking banana. The very next day their class went on a field trip to a floating zoo. When Savannah walked into the zoo, the first thing that caught her eye was a monkey that looked exactly like Cleopatra. Savannah, Ben, and Griffin ran to the monkey cage. • 10. Animal Removal Services ANIMAL REMOVAL SERVICES Animal Removal services are very important agencies in bringing back the peace, comfort and tranquility in our homes. Animals are very clever and they will always try to find shelter or even nesting places when weather changes become unbearable either too hot or just a drop in the temperatures or when a new one is about to join the camp. Such places might just be in our homes most particularly in the upper roof where there are less destruction and a bit of warmth from the chimney. However, this might pose really great challenge to the house owner such as bad smell or even health related complications arising from the animals waste. They can also cause a lot of challenges to the piping system, wiring and insulation which could cause great harm to the owner. But, how does not get to evict such animals from his home especially if you are the scary type ,considering it s not a good idea to just seal entry points as that would cause them to either die and the odor would be unbearable and even worse to handle? • 11. Challenges Of Bre-X Challenges for Bre X Minerals in Indonesia Bre X Minerals Ltd. faced numerous challenges in 1996, largest among them being the potential loss of the majority stake in property that could yield upwards of 100 million ounces of gold. The Indonesian government was threatening to redistribute ownership of Busang, the mining region in which Bre X had property rights, due to its fear that Bre X was a short term player not serious about extracting the gold or a long term commitment in Indonesia. These fears were justified given Bre X s small size (it had a net loss of $Cdn. 366,677 in 1995 compared to a net income of $Cdn. 218 million from Barrick Gold Corp., a potential government corporate partner) and limited connections within the ... The Indonesian government has shown, through its interactions with Bre X, that it is easily influenced by the demands of President Suharto s family and by pressures from respected individuals. For example, the Barrick proposal received endorsement from the government only after Barrick hired Suharto s daughter (Tutut) and encouragement from former U.S. President George Bush and former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. Despite making an alliance with PT Panutan Duta in late October, Bre X was late in recognizing the importance of relationship building in conducting business in Indonesia. With only eight days to negotiate the deal with Barrick, Bre X does not have time to develop the necessary connections to succeed in Indonesia without a competent partner. Strong property rights are an essential component in any successful market economy. Although Indonesia has regulations regarding mineral exploration and extraction, the government has found ways to manipulate the regulations to best serve its interests. Making it through the various stages of mining approval requires complex paperwork and numerous negotiations with various government offices. • 12. Models amd Stages of Memory Essay In order to understand what memory is one can start by understanding the opposite of it which is known as the condition named amnesia. Amnesia is the incapability and failure to recollect information which previously was stored in ones memory (Evans, 1979). If that is the case then memory must be the capability to process information in order to recollect it as data remains maintained (Maltin, 2005). Ideally psychologists have believes that memory consist of three aspects, these basic stages collaborate when an event is recalled. These stages which are being outline are the encoding, storage and retrieval stages of memory (Ghoneim, 2001). One of their main arguments was that information is processed in three different ways including the structural processing, phonemic processing and semantic processing. So, how do these processes work? Structural processing and phonemic processing are both division found within the shallow process. Shallow processing simply implicates the maintenance through rehearsal which heads towards ones short term maintenance of information as repetition helps and individual hold data in the STM, which is the only rehearsal that happens within the multi store model. The shallow form of processing information can be seen as just physical where one looks at information, when one is looking at how the information sounds like it is known as phonetics which is still part of shallow processing (Li, 2010). Now, deep processing on the other hand involves elaboration rehearsal. This is a more meaningful analysis as it involve; images, thinking, associations of information and so on, which leads to better recollection. And this is where semantic processing comes in, this is the happening of when one encodes the meaning of a word and relate it back to similar words consisting similar meaning as a word is giving a meaning or linking to previous knowledge (Surprenant and Neath, 2013). Being stuck in a repetitive life causes people to be disillusioned to true meanings of life and feelings of others, while also becoming emotionally distant themselves. Having a traditional lifestyle consisting of the same routines separates those who are living a life of passion with those who are unable to see their uninteresting existence. In the novella The Dead by James Joyce, he uses symbolism and contrast to portray Gabriel Conroy as a dynamic character who turns his ignorant, self satisfied and repetitive life into a journey of self discovery. who leads an unfulfilled, apathetic, and ignorant life through the use of symbolism and contrast Throughout the short story, Joyce uses the literary device symbolism to show how Gabriel Conroy comes to the realization of his unsatisfying life and that he thinks more about his unimportant actions, desires, and tedious routines than being passionate and having an impactful life. Reliability Of The Measurement Instrument Essay 4.3 Reliability analysis To evaluate the reliability of the measurement instrument it was developed an internal consistency analysis through Cronbach s alpha. It is an index that takes values between 0 and 1, used to verify if the instrument is reliable and performs stable and consistent measurements (Santesmases, 2009). Cronbach s alpha estimates the lower limit of the reliability coefficient and it is expressed through Formula 2. Those incentive problems led to information asymmetries and moral hazard among the involved stakeholders .As the Bank/Originator creates reference pool sells them to the bankruptcy remote trust (such as Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac) Bankruptcy remote trust buys reference pool and securitizes it sells them to the capital market where potential investors exists to purchase securities purchase of securities by investors 6 gap between mortgage originators and investors increases, it reduces the incentives for lenders to screen mortgage applicants thoroughly. • 33. Totalitarian Methods Of Domination Arendt explained that totalitarian methods of domination are uniquely suited to programmes of mass extermination such as the massacring of Jewish citizens in Germany by the Nazis (Arendt, 1979, p. 440). However, Anthony Court expands on Arendt s theory of totalitarianism by stating that previous regimes of terror, does not simply aim to extinguish physical life but rather total terror is preceded by the obliteration of civil and political rights as well as exclusion from the public sphere, the confiscation of property and lastly the deportation and murder of entire extended families and their surrounding communities (Court, 2008, p. 102). This definition is clearly seen throughout history whether it be associated with World War II, Stalinism, ISIS, Al Qaeda or the frequent riots occurring in western societies such as the Oakland 2009 riots, London 2011 riots or the Ferguson 2014/15 riots with each riot strongly associated with racial tension and unrest. Each of these events have different levels of totalitarianism but show that society does not learn from past events. Arendt explains that totalitarianism is formed when governments have emerged as a result of the institutionalisation of terror and violence (D Entreves, 2014).
