2. Child Care Center Observation Essay
I chose to observe at Foster Knox Child Care Center in Warrensburg, Missouri to finish up my
observation hours. When viewing this facility, it was similar to Central Village by having different age
groups separated by rooms. When I first walked into the facility I didn t notice any labeling on the
doors, to identify which age group took place in that room. However, I could easily tell by looking at
the children who were in the room. To finish my observations all I needed was the age group 24 36
months. This age group I was observing was located in the back of the facility. As I entered the room,
I noticed it was empty, no children to be found. I then realize that it was nap time. All children were in
a separate room enclosed by a door that was connected to the room I entered in. When walking in I
noticed two tables were in the center of the room. A tiny restroom area was in the far left hand corner
of the room which had a sink, water fountain, and a small toilet for the children to use frequently after
every activity. There is a play area as well which was located right when you walk into the room. The
room was bright, and had a lot of natural light coming in from the windows. Each child had their own
hook and cubby basket for their items. There were several light fixtures; however, they were not being

3. Old Spice Has A Storied History Essay
Introduction
Old Spice has a storied history as cologne that is favored by both men and women. During the 1970s
and 1980s, the brand relied heavily on nautical ocean scenes in their commercials and sex appeal.
However, after years of success, Old Spice became known as old guys cologne. By the early 1990s,
Old Spice s ability to survive and endure over the course of several decades became its downfall. Old
Spice had become an icon associated with old men. The younger generation of boys and men mostly
recognized Old Spice as something their fathers and grandfathers wore, which resulted in a lack of
interest for the product, (Neilly, 2014). Old Spice realized that their traditional nautical themed
advertising no longer appealed to their target audience of young men ages 12 34 so they decided to
rebrand.
Old Spice Man Television Commercials In 2010, Old Spice introduced their latest spokesman the Old
Spice Man.
With the NFL football player turned actor, Isaiah Mustafa, they created a series of commercials that
not only specifically addressed the ladies, but talked about what makes men manly. These
advertisements were so successful, they garnered record amounts of YouTube, (Neilly, 2014). The Old
Spice Man was someone that the target audience would recognize as a professional athlete and a
masculine icon. Another successful aspect of the Old Spice campaign is the fast paced filming styles.
The Old Spice guy recorded his video responses in rapid succession, an amazing

4. Self-Driving Machine Ethics Essay
Ethics in Intelligent Machines: Self Driving Cars and The Trolley Problem The ethics behind
machines, thus far, have been mostly concerned with how humans interact directly with the machine,
or how they use the machine. However, with the advent of autonomous technologies like self driving
cars, the debate has shifted from the ethics of the human behind it, to the ethics of the intelligent
machine itself. Ryan Tonkens writes, in an article about ethics and information technology, that As
machines become increasingly sophisticated, their ability to act out in the world becomes more
pronounced, to the point where they will be able to (or already do) perform autonomous actions
(Tonkens 139). Technology is advancing so much that machines are entering ... Show more content on

5. Coach Thad Matta Research Paper
The Ohio State men s basketball team has had back to back disappointing seasons and most people
believe that head Coach Thad Matta should be fired from his job. Ohio State is a program that over the
last ten years has been accustomed to winning games and being at the top of the Big Ten standings,
and the last two years under coach Matta were not up to most fans standards. I believe that Thad Matta
should not be fired and that he will turn the program around if given more time.
Thad Matta has been one of the most successful coaches in the country at his time at The Ohio State
University. Comparing him to Michigan State s head coach Tom Izzo, Thad Matta has a higher
winning percentage, more regular season conference championships, and more conference tournament
championships in his coaching career, which is also five years shorter than Izzo s, according to sports
refernces.com. Then if you compare Matta to the past Ohio State coaches he easily surfaces into the
top pair. Coach Matta is the winningest coach in Ohio State history (Brown). When he was hired in

Crying is the companion of the spirit and the cure of the soul . In life s ups and down , tears are the
closest and most loyal to the heart . When one is melancholic , s/he cries , and when one is jovial , s/he
cries too . However , some people consider shedding tears is exclusive for women , who are modest ,
compassionate , sensitive , soft , nurturing , intuitive , sentimental , docile , inconclusive and
emotional but prohibited on men who are supposed to be aggressive , sturdy , rational , emotionally
detached , power loving and focused on potential and authority . On the contrary , an opposing party

men s crying has always been a controversy , but quite the majority of people males , females ,
specialists and religious people acknowledge shedding tears as the most natural phase of man s face
expressions that reveal strength , sentiment , love and respect .
The ability to accept men s crying has varied between different periods in history . To begin , the Bible
is full of weeping . For example , Joseph burst into tears several times , in which his tears were tears
of rage , tears of pain and tears of sensitivity , .. his sobs were so loud that the Egyptians could hear.
Moreover , among Greek Heroes , tears were lavish, such as Achilles in The Illiad . In medieval
Europe , the elite would conceal their emotions because they felt forced to do so , but this

Banana is good source of vitamin B6 (pyridoxine); provides about 28% of daily recommended
allowance. Pyridoxine is an important B complex vitamin that has beneficial role for the treatment of
neuritis, and anemia. Further, it helps decrease homocystine (one of the triggering factor in coronary

8. Racism Is An Epidemic That Has Occurred Throughout History
Racism is an epidemic that has occurred throughout history. Racism is when patterns of discrimination
towards a certain race are established and perceived as normal throughout an entire culture. It is not
one person from a certain race discriminating another person from another race, but rather an entire
population operating in a social structure that makes it difficult for a person not to discriminate.
People of color have been oppressed because of their race/ethnicity by those who have held the power,
i.e. white people. This oppression is institutionalized through laws, social norms and ideals, customs,
etc. and kept because of the theory and belief in white supremacy. Reverse racism is the supposed

Racism is not the act of a person discriminating against another person of a different race, but of a
whole population operating in a social structure against a race. People of color cannot be racist
towards whites because they do not have that power in a society controlled by white men. White
people can be discriminated against and experience prejudice for their race. Although discrimination
and prejudice are morally wrong, they are not the same thing as racism because if you consider the
world and society as a whole, white people are obviously and inarguably the privileged race. Racism
is systemic and white supremacy allows for an imbalance in power in which white people do not at all
face institutionalized oppression based on their race, but rather benefit from it (white privilege). White
people are not subject to racism because a person of color does not have the power to oppress them. A
person has the power to be mean and rude towards the white person, but not to oppress. Every racist
comment is rude, but not every rude comment is racist. A person of color being

10. Milton Friedman Essay
Milton Friedman
Milton Friedman has been credited with many different achievements, including being one of the most
effective advocates of economic freedoms and free enterprise, being the greatest economist to ever
walk the face of the earth, and proving every single word that Lord Maynard Keynes ever said to be
wrong. Why these may or may not all be true, it is obvious that Friedman was a brilliant man of many
accomplishments.
Milton Friedman was born on July 15th, 1912 in New York City. His parents were poor immigrants
and his father died when he was a senior in high school. Despite all of these obstacles he had to
overcome, Friedman received a scholarship to Rutgers University and got his B.A., an M.A. in 1933

Henry David Thoreau and Martin Luther King, Jr. s Justification of Defying Unjust Laws
In his famous essay, Letter from Birmingham Jail, Martin Luther King, Jr. cites conscience as a guide
to obeying just laws and defying unjust laws. In the same way, Henry David Thoreau wrote in his
famous essay, Civil Disobedience, that people should do what their conscience tells them and not obey
unjust laws. The positions of the two writers are very close; they use a common theme of conscience,
and they use a similar rhetorical appeal of ethos. In Civil Disobedience Thoreau claims that men
should act from their conscience. Thoreau believed it was the duty of a person to disobey the law if his
conscience says that the law is unjust. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He disagreed with other American people who believed the majority should change the law first
because it is a worse thing to disobey the law than to do what an unjust law says to do. Thoreau wrote
that breaking the unjust laws is better: Break the law. Let your life be a counter friction to stop the
machine (Thoreau, P. 18). However, Thoreau did not think people should be criminals. He thinks a
criminal is a person who disobeys the law but will not be responsible for that. If a person disobeys an
unjust law, Thoreau thinks that the person must do that, so all people can see he is disobeying the law
because it is unjust. Then the person must accept what happens to him for disobeying the law.
Thoreau wrote that people must be willing to go to jail if they want to change a law by disobeying the
law. Thoreau went to jail instead of paying for his taxes because he believed the government used the
money for unjust things. This is how Henry Thoreau thinks people can change unjust laws. He thought
that if people willingly would to go to jail and quit their jobs, then the revolution will take a place and
reform will come. Thoreau was willing to go to jail to change unjust laws because of his conscience.
King s position on unjust laws was very close to Thoreau s position on unjust laws. In his famous
letter written when he was in jail, Letter from Birmingham Jail, King wrote to the ministers who did

National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) Our nation utilizes the NAEP to evaluate
subject matter achievement, instructional experiences, and school environment. It covers twelve
different subject areas: the arts, civics, economics, foreign language, geography, mathematics, reading,
science, technology and engineering literacy, U.S. history, world history, and writing. Each assessment
takes 90 minutes. Currently it is a paper and pencil test, but it is moving into computer based
applications. It is conducted in a group setting and submitted to another party for scoring. The results
do not provide individual scores. The goal of this assessment is to represent a report card for the
nation as a whole. However, each state can get the data for its region. Educators can use this
information to collaborate and determine what general areas need improvement or greater focus. B.

14. Freedom In The Nineteenth-Century Essay
Throughout the nineteenth century, following the shift to an industrialized market, there was a desire
to form utopian communities in order to create model societies in the new world. The overarching
viewpoint was freedom and improvement of the self, however, the difference is that the idea of
freedom from the nineteenth century is much different than that of freedom today. Reforms were
based on the idea that true freedom was an internal phenomenon based on self discipline and control.
Freedom in the nineteenth century, was the moral groundwork that provided the virtue of self
possession and control. In addition, that idea behind most of these reforms was religion which formed
the concept that freedom was not having the choice to sin so that one could be free of sin. This lead to
perfectionism, or the belief that individuals and society were capable of unlimited improvement. This
caused reformers to improve their communities, spurring temperance, education reform, and abolition.

cunning, but no more. This gives the reader the impression that Dupin doesn t like the Police and that
Dupin thinks a lot of himself. This is also apparent with Holmes.
There was a case in The Speckled Band when Holmes criticised the
Police because they did not search the room thoroughly. He said: We will have to search the room with
care to see what the Police have missed out. This clearly gives the reader the impression that
Sherlock does not like the Police.
The detectives also seem to be in a world of their own and often seem to have highly individual
personalities. We can see that Dupin
waffles quite a lot, when he speaks. Lets look at when he starts to talk about the people who have
heard the voice. He starts by saying:
That was the evidence itself . . . . and talks like this for the next four paragraphs. This tells me that, at

I chose Jamaican Jews because there are few Jews living in Jamaica today but hundreds of years ago
their were many Jews living there and many of Jews that live in Canada today, have ancestors leading
back to Jamaica. Today the estimated total population of Jews living in Jamaica is between 200
424,000. This essay will discuss the pull factors that influenced Jewish immigration to Jamaica, how
they organized and the push factors that caused them to leave from the time the first Jews came to
Jamaica in 1494 1655 until today.
Before their were any Jews in Jamaica they were living all around the world in countries like Spain,
Germany, Poland and France. They were forced to leave these countries due to anti semitism, war and
Spanish Inquisition ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One main push factor is that the jewish community in jamaica was never big. This is good and bad for
a lot of reasons: Having a small jewish community meant that everyone would be generally close with
one another similar to a small, closely knit town. A small Jewish community also meant that if you
were looking to marry jewish that you wouldn t have as many options as you would in a bigger jewish
community. Another push factor is that when the jews first arrived in jamaica they had to conceal their
identity and refer to themselves as Portuguese or Spanish and had to practice their religion secretly
before the british conquest of the island in 1655 but after that were allowed to practice judaism openly.
This was also vital to the Jews because that s exactly what they were fleeing from in their old
countries. How could someone enjoy life if the things they loved to do had to be done in secrecy or
else they would be prosecuted, that s exactly what the jews were trying to find; a country that would
allow them to be who they are. The last minor push factor was that their weren t many shuls and this
was a problem because depending on where you lived it could be hard to get to one. This was later
fixed when the Jewish population increased near the year

18. Bigelow s Use Of Mise-En-Scene In The Hurt Locker
In Kathryn Bigelow s film, The Hurt Locker, the director utilizes Mise En Scene to create a constant

Bigelow used specific elements such as characters outfits, lighting, types of camera techniques, setting
and overall pacing are the directors strongest weapons in creating the pressing tension felt in her film.
James, the films main character is the lens which Bigelow uses to show the audience the pain that war

James is thrown in between the warzone and a presumably American supermarket, where shock and
sterility is felt, contrasting the two worlds that James is a part of. James is surrounded by poverty and
suffering while in Iraq, a result of the war that he is fighting in. When it cuts to the supermarket,
James is clean in civilian clothing and surrounding by a cornucopia of food. The lighting is also used
to show the difference between the two places. Iraq is a place covered in a layer of dirt and sand while
the supermarket is a stark bright white, showing off the cleanliness of the land. Right before it cuts to
the supermarket scene James is riding in the car in the dark, making the viewer focus on what is
shown and making it feel controlled. Then when it shifts to the supermarket, we are greeted with a
sense of lost when presented with the seemingly endless rows of food. The elements of brightness,
color, dress and pace create conflict with each other. The audience can tell that while Iraq is a chaotic
mess, James is happy in it because it is his identity. Back in America he has no purpose, no drive. Like

20. Characteristics Of The English Language Learners
1. There are many types of diversity. List two types and explain how those affect students reading

Linguistic diversity is when a student s first language is not the language of instruction at school.
According to Garcia, American Standard English is seen as a vital tool for success in the United States
which affects reading abilities of English language learners. Since the implantation of No Child Left
Behind and Common Core, English language learners have to a second language and complex
academic materials. Teacher have to understand the English language learners face unique challenges
when learning to read and have limited background and vocabulary restrictions.
Cultural diversity is the situation that results when a student s home, family, socioeconomic group,
culture, and society differ from the predominant culture of the school. It is closely related to linguistic
diversity. The student s language is related to culture. When the language that the students uses at
home is different at school, it affects the child ability to communicate which affects the student s
reading ability.
2. There are four instructional approaches that schools use to transform the curriculum in order to
make accommodations for students who are culturally diverse. List and explain two approaches.

24. The Impact Of Nitrogen Fertilizer Business
Agricultural practices date as far as 12,000 years with the domestication of animals and crop growth
(National Geographic, 2016). As humans changed their nomad lifestyles to more fixed homesteads,
our population slowly increased to what is now 7.6 billion; doubling by 2033 to 15.2 billion
(Mosttafiz, 2012). In order to feed the growing population, competition for land and resources such as
water and energy (biofuels) to mass cultivate filling starches wheat, rice, corn has always been an
issue. A solution in 1909, invented by Fritz Haber and Carl Bosch, called the Haber Bosch process,
which is estimated to be worth around billions, introduced chemically synthesized nitrogen fertilizers
for crop growth. It is also noted that this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

generate over 500 million USD yearly (Agrium Inc., 2017). On the other hand, CF has the world s
largest nitrogen plants based in the USA (CF Industries, 2017). This corporation has purchased out
major companies such as CFL (Canadian Fertilizers Ltd) and rights to the UK fertilizer business.
Meanwhile, UAN and TNH follow the market with lower stakes in the business. The key for higher
profits are ownership of nutrient extraction companies and connections to areas with high demand.
This allows the corporations to receive raw goods at lower than market value, as well as export larger
quantities at competitive prices. South America, India and China are the largest importers of fertilizers
(Rohan, 2017). South America is expected to have the largest CAGR (Compound Annual Growth

investments in fertilizers to increase crop yield (Rohan, 2017). Trends show that the cost of ammonia

28. The Effect Of Glucose On The Formation Of Furanoid...
Glucose D glucopyranose or, more commonly, D glucose is an aldohexose, a reducing sugar and a
component of sucrose, lactose, cellulose, and starch; the latter is typically used as the primary material
for the commercial production of glucose via enzymatic hydrolysis (de Wit et al. 1993). Glucose is the
primary component for the manufacture of alkyl polyglucosides, D glucitol, gluconic acid, and high
fructose corn syrup; in fact, D glucose can undergo a fermentation process to produce L ascorbic acid,
from D glucitol, as well as polyesters, polyurethanes, and alkyd and melamine resins. Moreover, D
glucose can form pyranoid, furnaoid, and acyclic tautomers (Lichtenthaler and Peters 2004). This
tautomeric form must be fixed to help facilitate subsequent reactions such for the formation of
furanoid diacetonide, acyclic dithio acetal, pyranoid structures, in glucosidic forms, and glucal or
hydroxyglucal esters. Furthermore, an acetylacetone reaction with D glucose, with intercession from
ZnCl¬¬2, forms highly substituted furan derivatives. Since only the first two D glucose carbons
participate in the furan formation, a hydrophilic tetrahydroxybutyl side chain also forms, which can be
oxidized to yield a selection of furanic building blocks. In comparison, D glucose can react with
pentane 2,4 dione, in a moderately basic environment, to cause carbon addition, followed by a
retroaldol style elimination of acetate. Considering that this reaction uses simple reagents in an

A worldview is an opinion on how you see society as a whole. Each person s worldview is impacted
by their culture, religion, family friends, etc. I am a Pentecostal Christian and a Romanian and these
two aspects impact my worldview immeasurably. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and He died on
the cross for each person on this Earth. Even though each person has sinned and turned their backs on
God countless times, Christ was always there for us no matter what we did. His love is greater than
any love we have ever encountered and His grace is immensely great. How do we know who God is

If one believe s there is a God who has created them for a reason then life has purpose. He gave us a
purpose to live and that is to follow Him and give glory to Him in everything we do (Kelsey, 2012).
When we die, we are judged by God and we either go to heaven or hell. What determines this is if we
believe Jesus Christ died for our sins, rose again, and through Christ we are able to have a relationship
with God (Kelsey, 2012). People ask why I believe in Christ and how I know that everything in the
Bible is true and they are astounded when they hear my answer. First, believing that there is a God,
believing that there is no God, and believing that there are many gods all have one thing in common:
faith. Without faith, how can we believe or not believe in something? If a person says, I have no faith
in you, what exactly does that mean? It means that, that person does not believe in someone and that
they have no trust in them. It is the same in any religion. One has to have faith to believe in
something. A friend told me that she saw someone who I looked like. Even though I didn t see what
she saw I still put my faith in her and believed her. The Bible says everything in it is true (2 Timothy
3:16 17 NIV). The Bible is historically correct and no one has proven that wrong (Hovind, 2014).

He is desperate to rectify that and grab something for himself, and I like him for that. He has a reason

him with suspicion. With his villainy stemming from his rejection from society, it becomes clear why
he is treated as an outcast. He is degraded to just Don Pedro s illegitimate half brother, sometimes
referred to simply as the Bastard. He is a clear stand out from the rest of the characters due to his
melancholy and pessimism, since as characters in a comedy are supposed to be surrounded by a joyful
atmosphere, he is the only character that brings darkness and sadness to the play. Most of the other
characters in the play prove outgoing, talkative, or at least social, and while such chattiness leads to
problems when other characters overhear secrets, Don John s silence emerges as more disagreeable
than willingness to divulge secrets. When Don John returns to Messina with his brother, the governor
Leonato addresses him with immense hesitation: If you swear, my Lord, you shall not be forsworn
Essentially, Leonato questions Don John s declaration of loyalty to Don Pedro, and although Leonato
covers his harsh greeting with a welcoming of Don John, his doubts remain dormant under the surface
of his kind words. Don John notices the undercurrent of distrust directed towards him and responds, I
am not of many words, but I thank you Through his simple statement, Don John acknowledges society

without control, directly or indirectly lead to changes in the environment sustained effect
unconsciously towards the emergence of a disaster. The other thing is the changes of natural
phenomena that occur periodically turned into irregular and even a negative effect on habitat and
human life.
People unrealized that the way of our lives and conduct of our business lead into vulnerability. In this
case into global warming, which potentially create many problems more clearly. But the issue
becomes complicated since the cause of global warming itself derived from industrial and agricultural
activities that give people prosperity and welfare standards of living (Philander, 2004).
One of the phenomena that direct and directly affect people s habitat and life is El Nino Southern
Oscillation (ENSO). Based on Syamsuddin (Syamsuddin, et al., 2013), El Nino Southern Oscillation
(ENSO) can be defined as climate fluctuation in a large scale pattern of the globe that influence
powerfully. While McPhaden (Meyers, et al., 2007) stated that ENSO is one of climate variability with
a strong connection between the atmosphere and the ocean in the Pacific equatorial. In a simple way
ENSO can be concluded as a natural phenomenon caused by ocean atmosphere interactions.
Furthermore, the ENSO cycle divided

Stress Management Action Plan Stress has developed over millions of years as a way to help aid an
organism along its evolutionary course to avoid extinction. This finely tuned instrument of survival
has become to human beings a source of help and anguish. Stress as commonly defined by the
dictionary is worry, however, more appropriately stress is a biological response to situations both good
and bad. Stress is the body s way of rising to a challenge whether life threatening, trivial, or fun. At
the chemical level stress is a release of glucocorticoids, which are hormones that produce an array of
effects in response to stress, some of the actions of glucocorticoids help mediate the stress response,
while other, slower actions counteract the primary response to stress and help re establish homeostasis
(Stress, 2012) and epinephrine commonly known as adrenaline. The use of stress has changed
throughout the years and what once aided us along the timeline has now become a hindrance that
needs to be monitored.
In modern society the use of stress is overused and abused all too often unwittingly by the individual
stressing. Without an off switch healthy stress, which is transient turns into lasting unhealthy stress,
which in the long run if not managed always proves deadly.
Psychology has dedicated a large amount of attention to elements in our lives that can potentially

38. Creon Character Analysis
Throughout the story of Antigone, written by Sophocles, the minor characters play different
significant roles during the play. They are able to influence many of the major characters by their
different actions. Without the use of minor characters, many of the important decisions made by major
characters would not have been made during the play. There are many characters who were able to
influence the king, Creon. Specifically, the minor character, Leader, plays a major role in the character
development of Creon, from the beginning to the end of the play. Leader uses his actions, and unique
word choices to influence the decisions that Creon will make throughout the play.

sentenced them both? / Creon: No, you are right, I will not kill the one whose hands are clean. Creon
admits that Leader was the one who was right, and does as he says. He does not question Leader s
opinion, instead blatantly says that he is right, and moves on from the topic at hand. Following this, on
page 54, Creon inquires of Leader, What should I do? , Leader responds, Go quickly: free Antigone
from her vault, And build a tomb for the body of Polyneices. Not only does Creon do exactly what
Leader says, but he was the one to initiate the conversation. Creon came to Leader to ask him for his
guidance, rather than leader being the first to go to the king and offer his advice. Near the end of the
book, on page 73, Leader has all but taken over the kingdom. He is the only one who offers insight to
Creon, and the only one who Creon will listen to. He told Creon, You must go yourself, you cannot
leave it to others.

39. The Death Of The Native American Population
Suicide in the Native American Population of the Northeastern United States While the Native
American population encounters many health disparities; of growing concern, is the rates of suicide
among these communities. The U.S. National Library of Medicine defines health disparities as the
variation in rates of disease occurrence and disabilities between socioeconomic and /or geographically
defined population groups . When looking at the Native American population of the northeastern
United States, there are many factors that contribute to these alarming numbers. These include gun
availability, rural locations of communities and reservations, privacy of Native people, distrust of
outside help, alcoholism, depression, lack of resources, and acculturation stress. Many of these factors
are a way of life for the Native American population. Guns are in most homes and used for hunting
and sport. The rural locations are a way of being surrounded by all that is living and therefore, well
being of the people. Alcohol abuse is a learned and shared behavior among many families and
throughout the generations. The high rates of depression are often self medicated and contribute to the
substance abuse issues already abundant within the community. It is a difficult situation to realize the
very culture of a people may be the conduit to the problems they encounter. This can make the health

Considering spatial variability of public s preference for the Everglades restoration Everglades, the
largest subtropical wetland of North America, has encountered anthropogenic perturbation since the
last quarter of 19th century when canals were built and peatlands were drained for economic gain
(Godfrey and Catton, 2011). Since then, the system has been exploited, drained, polluted and changed
from its natural setup to escalate and widen the potential services from it. The present state is a highly
regulated system to buttress economic productivity and fulfill several regional demands. The
Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan, one of the world s largest restoration initiative, aims to
restore, protect and preserve the water resources of central and southern Florida (National Research
Council, 2014). While the restoration program is built on a foundation of retrospective science backed
by several years of sophisticated research on understanding the Everglades and similar ecosystem
(Estenoz and Bush, 2015), the human dimension of restoration was not studied adequately(Clarke and
Dalrymple, 2003; Kranzer, 2002; National Research Council, 2014). Particularly, the spatial extent of
residents preference or the heterogeneity of their opinion is important for CERP as the plan aims to

43. The s Impact On Society
Deconstructionism has impacted society today due to the effects of reading and the difficulty of
defining the word from the sole creator, Jacques Derrida, and how other philosophers have influenced
it. Although there is a definition for the school of thought Deconstructionism, it has been confused
with different definitions due to the influences of other philosophers on the definition given by
Derrida. One philosopher that influenced Deconstructionism was Friedrich Nietzsche, whom we
usually associate to Nihilism. The other philosopher that influenced this school of thought was
Ferdinand de Saussure, who was one of the two founders of semiology. It must be noted that Derrida s
style of writing contributed not only to his great popularity but also to the great animosity some felt
towards him. His style is frequently more literary than philosophical and therefore more evocative
than argumentative (Lawlor). According to Derrida, in essence, the definition of Deconstructionism is
the way of reading and understanding the difference between text and meaning . The school of thought
itself is notoriously difficult to define, and attempts to explain it in a straight forward way,
understandable way have been academically criticized for being too removed from the original texts,
and even contradictory to the concepts of Deconstructionism. In an article for Postmodernism, it
states, Because at its functional level all language is a system of differences, says Derrida, all

INTRODUCTION
Christ is the central person in Christian discipleship. Without Christ, Christianity would not exist and
there would be no followers of Christ. To be true followers of Christ, believers must be willing to
learn of the ways and teachings of Christ. Christ is central to Christian discipleship because He is the
teacher of His disciples. Through the Holy Spirit and Word of God, Jesus Christ calls His disciples to
Him and then ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
God disciplines those whom He loves and uses those whom follow His commandments. Jesus was
hanged on a cross and crucified so that we would have the opportunity to be saved. He suffered for us,
so we should take up our cross on a daily basis and follow Him. Christians must submit to Christ in
order to be used by Christ. When a person submits to Christ, the Holy Spirit will empower him to be
used of God. If a person does not submit to Christ, then the Holy Spirit will be quenched and the
Christian will be disciplined by God. Disciples of Christ do not receive salvation because they obey
God, but they obey God and submit to Christ because they have salvation (Rogers, Adrian, 2005).
Jesus told the disciples that if they call him Lord they must do what he commands (Matthew 7:22). To
be a disciple of Christ, we must submit to Jesus and trust that He is our Lord and Savior. We must
have faith in Him and look to Him as our guide. Disciples of Christ should obey Jesus because God is
not a man, but a sovereign God who has every right to command His disciples. Christ is not just a
sovereign God, but also a saving God who suffered on a cross so that humans could receive salvation.
Disciples of Christ who are saved by grace are not their own, but bought with a price that Jesus paid
on the cross. Dietrich Bonhoeffer: The disciples are called blessed because they have obeyed the call
of Jesus.2 To be a disciple of Christ, we must

45. Analysis Of Nietzsche s On Truth And Lies In A Nonmoral Sense
In On Truth and Lies in a Nonmoral Sense , Nietzsche seeks to explain why and how humankind has
developed our own senses of truth and in the same vein, lies. He says that the process involves taking
a stimuli and creating an image metaphor for it, and then a sound metaphor to it, which results in the
creation of language. Then, the human brain categorizes the stimuli into certain categories and into
different concepts that represent the total of unequal individualized objects and then rejects everything
that the category is not as a lie. Nietzsche argues that the processes aforementioned are impervious by
nature and completely illogical. The result is that we have created our own ideas that we call truth and
we shun the lies despite the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nietzsche calls the human race artistically creating subjects because we are able to take a stimulus
whether it be an image, smell, or sound and make a metaphorical image in our minds of what the
object is by assigning characteristics to it. Then, humans assign a metaphorical sound to represent the
stimulus, which eventually becomes the basis of language. Therefore, we have created this metaphor
to the perception of a stimulus that could change from person to person; it is completely subjective.
No child is born with this knowledge of their environment, but taught by parents or guardians. For
example, color is very subjective because if a child is raised to think that the color red is actually
called blue , he would only know it as blue. This metaphorical process, along with the need to be
social, eventually produced languages between humans and gave us a sense of truthfulness and lies,
which only entails that fact that humans are purposely using the definition of something the wrong
way in order to harm. In addition, Nietzsche also points out the cases of differing foreign languages
because nothing corresponds directly to the actual nature of a stimulus. Nietzsche argues that it is
illogical because humans made the idea of language, truth, and lie and therefore, it doesn t exist in
nature. The fact that we accept anyone that accurately describes something and shun someone that
tells a lie is completely subjective and frankly wrong, according to
