This document discusses how student-staff partnerships can support the development of digital teaching practices. It explores how partnerships that take a digital literacies approach and are pedagogy-led, sustainable, involve the whole cohort, and recognize student expertise can create communities of practice. Examples are provided of three case studies of projects developed through such partnerships that addressed specific educational needs, including reviews of learning apps, a choose your own adventure chemistry lab safety game, and a virtual reality campus tour. Benefits highlighted include staff being willing to try new digital approaches and students feeling able to contribute to teaching quality.
- The document discusses feedback from a training program conducted by EY for final year students from Dhaka University. When asked if they would recommend the program, all 35 students raised their hands.
- It also discusses Augmedix Bangladesh's need to recruit over 7,000 medical assistants and how LICT and EY worked with them to customize training to meet this need.
- Surveys of students who completed at least 40 hours of training found over 80% found the IT modules highly relevant to industry requirements and over 60% found the trainer's delivery of modules to be excellent.

Higher education in Indonesia faces several challenges in the current environment. There are two main types of universities - secular universities and religious universities - that sometimes have overlapping areas of focus in their policies and curricula. While religious universities have developed expertise in Islamic studies, secular universities often only offer brief Islamic studies courses not taught by specialists. Additionally, universities must adapt to changes in the job market and demands from society for education that integrates secular and religious knowledge. Common problems for students include lack of motivation, cultural and organizational barriers, as well as insufficient academic and non-academic support. Overcoming these challenges requires discipline, prioritizing one's studies, managing distractions, and maintaining spiritual well-being.
