John Milton Sonnet
The sonnet When I Consider How My Light Is Spent by John Milton was written between 1608 1674
in England. The English poet John Milton was a Puritan in England who eventually became
completely blind. In the sonnet the first eight lines, or the octave, the tone is concerned, frustration,
and desperate because his incapability of serving God successfully; while the last six lines, the sestet,
switches to a resolved and hopeful tone. The theme of the sonnet is finding meaning in the world or in
the sonnet They also serve who only stand and wait (14). In the sonnet Milton writes about his
blindness and doesn t understand how can use his talent of being a poet to serve God without his sight.
In the octave of the sonnet, he begins by thinking about how his sight was spent before he went blind,
also how half his life on earth he is in the dark. He wants to serve God as best he can but still can t
figure out how without his eyesight. He begins to question God as to whether God demands physical
work when they don t have any light. Then in the sestet he is told that God is like a king and does not
need anything from humans and has thousands of angels at his service. They move quickly over land
and water, never resting. In the last line of the sonnet, he reflects that even with his disability he has a
place in the world. This poem is written in Italian sonnet form. Which is divided up into two sections,
octave, and sestet. The first section is about what the writer was thinking

Reflection Of Visual Art
1a. Central focus for the segment
The central focus of the lesson is for students to demonstrate and show use of space, contrast, and
balance while creating an original idea that displays and the use of positive and negative space in an
equal amount. The purpose is for students to understand the elements and principles of visual arts,
which are value, contrast and balance. Students also learn how these concepts are still being used in
today s society.
1b. Linking skills, knowledge, and context
This is a first year class, so many students are unfamiliar with terms, such as value, contrast, space,
and balance, in terms of art. The students are familiar with the words, but are unfamiliar with how it
pertains to art. New definitions and techniques are introduced in this lesson. Students will continue to
use these new vocabulary terms in future lessons.
In this project students are required to make a total positive space image. To complete this, students
are to use line and shape in their design. The previous projects and lessons in this course focused on
the use of line and shape, so this project reinforces those terms and techniques so students will use
them in future projects.
The last aspect of this assignment is for students to see how the use of space makes interesting
designs. I show the students images of logos and symbols that effectively use positive and negative
space. With this, students can relate to the images and see how these techniques are still being used

Hr Role In The Military Profession
No one is more professional than I, I am a Noncommissioned Officer, a leader of Soldiers . The NCO
creed tells us that the expectation is to be professional. What does being professional consist of? The
Army is an American Profession of Arms, a vocation comprised of experts certified in the ethical
application of land combat power, serving under civilian authority, entrusted to defend the
Constitution and the right and interests of the American people. In this essay, I will identify the
importance of the role of Human Resources (HR) Sergeant in the Profession of Arms.
As you look at the Army and think of it as a profession of Arms, you have to look at the balancing
roles of professional leaders. First, is the role of the strategic leaders, they balance the relationship
between the Army s four fields of expertise and its current and potential future operating environment.
The second area of balance is the relationship between the Army s culture and climate and its
institutional practices. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These professionals devote years of service and attend countless training classes in order to become
experts in the chosen field. I feel that as HR professionals we have the role is to educate, mentor,
develop junior enlisted members in the military, and hope they truly know we care about them. It is
our duty as leaders to always place their needs above our own and honor the uniform, pledge an oath
we took when we decided to serve as a HR Sergeant. As a member of this special profession I have
experienced frustrations when Soldier have not been informed, but have had the opportunity to
witness great Non Commissioned Officers work together to help our Soldiers with difficult issues and
situations for the betterment of Soldier, Command, and unity. This is why I believe the HR Sergeant
plays an important part in the Profession of Arms in the

Sri Lanka Development Stratergies

is a major challenge in several provinces where the incidence of poverty is much larger in magnitute.
The sectoral composition of the economy has changed from that of an agriculture based economy to
one dominated by the services sector. The services sector has been the highest contributor to GDP, at
56 per cent, followed by the industrial sector at 26 per cent and the agricultural sector at 18 per cent in
2004. Liberalization, private sector participation and increased competition have contributed to the
expansion of the services sector, with buoyant performance in transportation, communications,
financial services, trade and tourism. The performance in the agricultural sector is an important
determinant of
GDP, as this sector directly accounts for around one fifth of national output and employs over one
third of the workforce. Its importance is larger than these figures indicate because of links between
agriculture, manufacturing and services.
The manufacturing base is dominated by the apparel industry, although the production of food and
beverages, as well as chemical and rubber based goods, is also important. Industrial exports are

Chronic Asthma
Asthma
Asthma is one of the most prevalent respiratory diseases. It is a chronic condition with recurring,
exacerbations characterized by bronchial hyper responsiveness and inflammation leading to airflow
obstruction (Cabana, et al., 2014). Over time, the chronic inflammation may cause permanent damage
to the airway (Wenzel, 2012). Asthma affects people of all ages but typically begins in childhood
(Wenzel, 2012). This paper will explore the pathophysiological mechanisms of chronic asthma and
acute asthma exacerbation. Additionally, it will cover how age and behavior can impact the
pathophysiology and influence the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Finally, mind maps will
illustrate, visually, the epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis and treatment
of both the chronic and acute phase of asthma.
Chronic vs. Acute ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In most cases it starts in childhood or early adulthood. However, it can happen later in life. Unlike
childhood asthma, adult onset asthma often has persistent symptoms (Wenzel, 2012). A large
percentage of adult onset asthma is brought on by allergies (Levy, et al., 2014). Childhood asthma can
lie dormant for a number of years and reappear in late adulthood (Wenzel, 2012).
Asthma may show symptoms of other diseases in an adult such as heart failure, COPD, rheumatic
arthritis or stomach problems (Levy, et al., 2014). Therefore, age will have the greatest impact on
diagnosis. A nurse practitioner must be aware of how adult onset asthma may mimic symptoms of
other expected age related ailments. As a larger portion of adult onset asthma is initiated by allergies,
acute pathophysiology may more closely resemble that of allergies (Levy, et al., 2014). Treatment for
adult onset would be focused on maintaining as it is predominantly chronic in nature. Additionally, a
thorough review of medication to ensure there are no incompatibilities (Levy, et al.,

Secondary Infections Of Flu Essay
What are the Secondary Infections of the Flu?
As most people know, the flu is a highly contagious disease that hits hard, invading the upper
respiratory tract, and in many cases, spreading to the lungs. The flu generally lasts a week, or more,
and during that time you might experience high fevers, headaches, body aches, sore throat, cough,
stuffy or runny nose, and tiredness. What most people don t know is that while their body is fighting
off a flu virus, it becomes highly vulnerable to developing secondary bacteria caused infections. When
your body is combating a viral infection, chemicals are released that may interfere with bacteria
killing cells. Along with that, the respiratory tract lining has been disrupted, and the mucus
membranes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When the lining of the air passageways between the nose and the lungs becomes infected, or swollen,
it reduces breathing ability, and increases the production of phlegm in the airways. After a flu, it is not
uncommon for a person to develop acute bronchitis, a condition with a pronounced cough that lasts for
weeks, or sometimes months. Other symptoms of secondary bacterial bronchitis, include:
Low grade fever
Sore throat
Wheezing
Body aches
Head aches
Nose and sinus congestion
Bacterial Otitis
Bacterial otitis, or ear infection, often follows the flu, particularly in children. Bacterial otitis
originates in the middle ear, which is connected to the upper respiratory tract by the Eustachian tube.
Bacteria that is multiplying in the nose or sinuses can pass up the Eustachian tube to the middle ear
and continue growing. Should the Eustachian tube become blocked, the middle ear area becomes
stagnant and warm, the ideal breeding ground for bacteria to grow.
Bacterial infections are accompanied by a variety of symptoms, such as ear pain, lingering cough,
thick nasal discharge, or sinus pain. If your flu recovery has been complicated by additional
symptoms, get diagnosed by a

Canada Health Act Essay
The Undermining of the Canada Health Act
Abstract
In the past, Canada s government funded, universally accessible, health care system has been praised
and admired both at home and abroad as one of the finest in the world. A great source of pride and
comfort for many Canadians is that it is based on five fundamental principles. Principles that are a
reflection of the values held by Canadian citizens since the formation of Medicare in 1966. These
principles were reinforced in the Canada Health Act, (CHA), of 1984 and state that the Canadian
system is universal, accessible, portable, comprehensive and non profit.
With increasing concerns of debts and deficits, Canada s publicly funded health care system has

Accessibility and quality are being threatened due to cutbacks coupled with a lack of funding. There is
a consensus now between medical professionals, the public, and the government that the health care
system is deteriorating. It is failing to provide the quality of care promised in the CHA and prided by
so many Canadians.
Yet the strings on the public purse continue to tighten. Transfer payments from the federal government
continue to decrease as provincial debt loads increase. And, although the minister of health and the
premier assured them that the costs of health care were doubling or even tripling, Albertans have
witnessed a steady decline in government spending on health care. The proportion of gross domestic
product, (GDP), which Alberta allocates to health care is ranked last among the ten provinces, (Taft,
1997). Albertans now find themselves with a struggling health care system and a waiting list.
The proposed solution from current Alberta government would see the health care system incorporate
the private sector. The government Most of all the government is looking to decrease cost, increase

The Drug Of Prescription Drugs
As the NFL grows in infamy from their many concussion scandals, the misusing of prescription drugs
is overshadowed, but still remains as a major issue in the NFL. A huge problem facing the NFL today
is the ill advised use of painkillers as it affects former players and current players alike. If nothing is
done to stop this dilemma, players will continue to be affected by the accoutrements of painkillers.
Only through DEA investigations, increased restrictions on prescription drugs, and increased
monitoring of player s mental health, will we end the epidemic of the misuse of painkillers in the
NFL. Background of the Problem As NFL players continue their careers, they become household
names that people start to look up to as role models. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With injuries plaguing the NFL, team doctors are able to use drugs such as prescription painkillers to
allow players to play through pain. NFL team doctors are able to to receive and distribute illegal
painkillers with ease. In a Vice Sports article about the suppliers of the NFL s painkiller addiction,
Aaron Gordon states, SportPharm,...from at least June of 2009 to June of 2010, illegally provided
prescription drugs to 81 team doctors across American college and professional sports (Gordon, 2014,
para. 2). Many NFL team doctors claim that they did not know about the illegal drugs and that they
only use these companies for their systems of business. Gordon expresses that in a U T San Diego
report written by Michael Lipman, NFL teams are not only using SportPharm, an unlicensed
California Pharmacy, for their convenient tracking system, but for the buying of massive quantities of
painkillers. These painkillers end up in the hands of the players who have the potential of misusing
them from their intended use which can destroy their lives. One cause of professional football player s
painkiller addictions is that Doctors feel pushed to have the players continue playing. Some doctors
believe that if they do not load up their players with heavy drugs to be able to play, they will be let go

Essay On Design Should Be Formed Not Formed
ARCHITECTURE SHOULD BE INFORMAL NOT RIGID.
New structure and informal by Cecil Balmond talks about Continuous and crisscrossing space that

Cecil Balmond had explored the different ways of creating and developing new forms through careful

The fixed form that is copy nature directly becomes forced. Balmond states that instead that one
should see what needs to occur is a change in paradigm: acceptance of risk, and the building of
internal processes that embrace conflict; that inexactness in structure should be viewed as positive,
giving separate understandings of a singular structure on the basis of who is observing it, uses it or
experiencing the space.
Than it starts to focus on the informal, it is the method which includes thinking and doing that does
not have distinct rules and fixed patterns. The informal does not have a set of standards or rules and
methods it can be copied and applied to acts of making.
The informal is a result of interactions between relationships, the informal acts as an agent of release
and architecture are free from the traditional notions or rule of fixed grid and locked in cage .
According to Balmond informal is a way of architecture shedding off the links of previous design
movements and concepts that helps in a way of exploring and expanding the discipline. The informal
is known as liberation for architecture.
Balmond then takes us on a survey of work in which he shows how the informal has been applied and
utilized for new advancement and exploration in architecture before concluding with a discussion of
new structure and new science.
By removing fixed rules, there

The Causes Of The Enlightenment And The Stonewall Riots
The struggle for equality has been present in history since the dawn of time. From the Israeli struggle
in their homeland during Roman rule to the hardships faced during the Civil Rights Movement, the
desire for equal rights and freedom is not a new concept. Throughout history, one can find instances
where events seem to repeat the events of the past. An instance of this is the parallel between the
Enlightenment and the Stonewall Riots. Not only is there a parallel there, the French Revolution is
similar to the Stonewall Riots as well.
The Stonewall Riots were a series of riots that began on June 28th, 1969 in the early morning at the
Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village of New York City. Police raided the building after they discovered
the bar had been serving alcohol without a license. After the arrests of the bar workers and some of the
LGBT community, bottles were thrown from those in the bar. This led to an uprising in which the
police were barricaded into the establishment and the rioters attempted to set the building on fire
(which they do eventually). For the next 5 6 days, more LGBT activists would gather to protest in the
area meeting the police who tried their best to stop them. In the end, the riots ended when the New
York City Riot Police came in to control the area. One of the survivors of the riots, Scott G. Brown,
recalls the night in a Huffington Post article whi he wrote. The article stated, The riots were a

Giving Birth and Back to Work, Are the Benefits Enough?
According to dictionary.com parental leave is a leave of absence from a job for a parent to care for a
new baby. Paternal leave can either be paid or unpaid and refers to many different types of leave
including maternity, paternity, and adoption leave. Cambridge Dictionaries Online defines maternity
leave as the period when a woman can legally be absent from work in the weeks before and after she
has a baby and paternity leave as a period of time that a father is legally allowed to be away from his
job so that he can spend time with his new baby. Although adoption leave is a type of paternal leave

This is an excellent option as it would allow parents to take paid leave but there are also many
disadvantages to this approach. First, some employees, especially if they are new, often accumulate
very little sick or vacation time. If someone is earning four hours a pay period and there are 26 pay
periods in a year, they would only accumulate approximately 13 days of leave. If they accrue sick
leave at the same rate, that would give the employee a total of 26 days of paid leave, not even a
month. Adding in a typical 10 federal holidays, an employee would have approximately 36 days for
which they could take leave and be paid for which does not provide adequate income for an employee
who has chosen to take the full 12 weeks of leave offered by FMLA. Using up all of one s leave can
also create issues. If the employee catches the flu but has used up all of their leave, they will have to
take leave without pay. If the employee has more than one child and that child becomes ill, they will
not have to take leave without pay in order to stay home and nurse the child. This leave without pay
could be covered under FMLA but if all of the benefits were used up during paternity leave, their
position could be in jeopardy if they needed to take leave without pay for unforeseen reasons. Using
holiday pay could prove to be difficult because employees may not always get

Persuasive Research Papers On Immigration
By changing the way the United States accepts non us citizens, our new president in a sense is creating
a standard for our country. That the country should choose immigrants based on merit, skill, and
proficiency. Having the standard for our country is great because we would only have the best enter,
slowing the nation s massive demographic change. Within a few years immigration is set to break all
historical records and our President is trying to keep immigration levels with the norms. (Hing, 2017)
School districts in Arizona are segregated for not knowing English and it is hurting them socially and
academically. The EDL students that take those 4 hour classes to learn English may or may not be
legal in the country but having them shunned in public schools is not acceptable. The EDL students do
not talk to English speaking students, so there is no room for improvement. Our President Donald
Trump wants to put a standard on the incoming immigrants based on their skill set. And with new
bilingual programs in places like Spain and India, incoming immigrants may actually stand up to the
new standard implicated by the president. Many citizen born children are facing the experience of

This current problem correlates with other issues within the emergency department. A study was
performed by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) demonstrating the six components of the evaluations of
the quality of one s care; Safety, effectiveness, patient centered care, efficiency, time, and equitability
(Strang, Crotts, Johnson, Hartling, Guttman, 2015). The scope of my project involves training,
education and changing the way our department interacts with arriving patients and the triaging
process. The lack of specific tasks and communication in the triage area also lives. A dearth in
communication has been directly linked to delays in patient care, medication errors, and lack of
accountability (Sayah, Rogers, Devarajan, Kingsley Rocker, Lobon, 2014). With the use of
appropriate quick triage, communication, and transfer of patients one can implement targeted goals in
triage (Craig et at., 2016). The organization I selected to support my clinical project is The World
Health Organization (WHO). The WHO is one of the most effective organizations for advocating and
building healthier lives around the world. Their primary goal is to promote health with the use of
evidence based research and resources (WHO, 2017). The WHO has developed the emergency triage

Daughter to Charles Wintour, the editor of the London Evening Standard newspaper, and born into
quite a privileged back ground, it was always expected that she do great things.
However she was always quite rebellious and had a tendency to do things her way. She dropped out of

One of her main sources of inspiration was her father, Charles Wintour. She inherited her management

The era from about 500 to 1000 C.E. is sometimes referred to as the Dark Ages in European history,
partly because many aspects of the Roman civilization were lost, such as written language, advanced
architectural and building techniques, complex government, and access to long distance trade. For the
most part, these early people of Europe could not read or write, and lived much as their nomadic
ancestors had. In their isolation, they slowly cleared the forested areas for farming, but their greatest
need was for protection. However, the need for protection grew to be most important when the
Vikings from Scandinavia invaded many areas of Europe in the 8th and 9th centuries, followed by the
Magyars, who came from the east in the late 9th century. In response, Europeans established
feudalism as a way to unite and protect them.
European feudal institutions revolved around political and military relationships. The feudal political
order developed into a complicated network of lord vassal relationships, with lords having overlords,
and overlords owing allegiance to kings. On these foundations early kingdoms, such as England and
France, were built, but in other areas, such as modern day Germany, the feudal organization remained
highly decentralized.

Diagnosing Change: Six Box Organizational Model The Six box Organizational Model is one of the
oldest models developed, by Marvin Weisbord. Weisbord examined two key elements of
organizational life; task and process. There are six variables; purpose, structure, relationship, rewards,
helping mechanism, and leadership (Palmer, 2008). To clearly understand each variable there will be a
brief overview of each variable. (See Figure 1) First, the purpose variable, this is to determine what
type of business the organization is in; retail, industrial, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These are things that Kmart and Sears had to address. With wanting to change some of the Kmart
stores into Sears due to location, this would fall under structure.
Relationship: this is a huge part of the merger. The relationship of the two leadership s merger together
is very important because if the two companies did not agree they there would be dysfunction within
the company. With defining the leadership right off, differently helped the relationship of the two
companies coming together. It allowed for clear communication with the employees on who would be
in charge and an idea of the direction they were heading for the future.
Rewards: I didn t find much on a rewards or incentives for the merger only that it would rank them
third in retail companies. This may be an area in which the company lacked, and may have pushed
them to the verge of closing now.
Helpful mechanism: I feel that they had a strong direction on with this area for the six box model,
because they are were much defined on how things were going to be. They had transition for the
headquarters to be in Chicago but also leaving the Kmart headquarters in Troy, MI. It showed that
there would be a support system still in place for the Kmart employees and customers.
Leadership: I really like what Kmart and Sears did with their leadership. I think that they were very
fair on how they placed people. Lampert not becoming the chairmen of Sears Holdings was a

In The Skin Of A Lion Character Analysis
In order for humans to be able to create meaningful relationships with one another, they need to be
able to communicate with each other. If individuals want to create relations with one another, they
need to be able to understand each other. They also need to take the initiative to figure out others, and
be able to communicate and connect with each other. However, the only way that you can understand
others is if you relate with one another, in order to build relations and be comfortable around each
other. In order for you to be able to connect with other people and have relations with others people,
we need to leave our comfort zone and relate to other people. Whether it be learning a new language
or moving to a new place, just like the individuals in the second source and third source were able to
do.
In the story of In the Skin of a Lion, the main character is Patrick who lived amongst other immigrants
and did not recognize their language and culture because he kept to himself. However, when he took
the initiative to learn the Macedonian word for Iguana he was able to communicate with others at the
fruit stall, and in the future he was able to be close to some new people he didn t even know existed.
This source shows how if you take action upon your desires to make relations you will infact be able
to make new friends, just like Patrick was able to make new relations with the people around him.
Patrick was able to leave his comfort zone of keeping to himself to

Cristobal Colon Research Paper
Cristobal Colon was born in 1451 in the Republic of Genoa, Italy. He first became a shipmate when he
was a teenager. His first trip was out into the vast Atlantic ocean in 1476 and he nearly lost his life.
While sailing off the Portuguese coast he was attacked by French ships. Columbus ship was burned
and he was forced to abandon ship and swim all the way to the Portuguese coast. Where he later found
his wife.
Now you may be wondering how this applies to Spanish class. Well in 1486 Columbus wanted to have
a voyage of discovery. Because he believed unlike many nautical experts that the Earth was round.
Many countries turned him down and did not offer money for this voyage. Until he went to the
Spanish monarchy of Isabella of Castille and Ferdinand of Aragon. Although, because they were in
war with the Muslims they could not fund his voyage. Although in January 1492 the spaniards
captured the las muslim camp. So the Spanish monarchy would finally begin to fund his voyage. On
August 1492 he left the coast of Spain. He ships were the Santa Maria, Pinta, and Nina.
Once he had been sailing for 36 days he set foot on land. This land would now be know as present day
Bahamas. Soon he met a friendly group of natives who wanted to trade many of their riches for the

Columbus gave a report that was a bit over exaggerated, but the Spanish monarchy loved it. In the
same year he went back to what he thought was Asia and explored more Caribbean Islands. Once he
returned to Villa de la Navidad he found that not only had the town been destroyed, but all the sailors

The Importance Of Heterosexuality
Introduction: Prom, Coercion, Repression, and the Heterosexual Imaginary
There is an omnipotent and elusory force that festers and conspires just beneath the placid surface of
our society protected and intact. It is a force that lingers seemingly undetected in every relation, in
every interaction and in every corner of society that it can fill. This force is manipulative, coercive,
powerful and it structures nearly every aspect of social life. What is this force, you may ask? Well, it is
popularly referred to as Heterosexuality. Indeed, heterosexuality, as an institution, produces and wields
tremendous power over the lives and decisions of social actors. It cuts through every social facet,
safeguards and constructs hierarchies and orders along lines of gender, sexuality, race, and class.
Incontrovertibly, heterosexuality is a fundamental organizing principle of our society maintained
through cultural productions, discursive practices, and heterosexual norms. Moreover, the dominance
of heterosexuality is nourished and privileged through the heterosexual imaginary a way of thinking
that conceals the operation of heterosexuality in structuring gender (across race, class and sexuality)
and closes off any critical analysis of heterosexuality as an organizing institution (Ingraham, 2002, p.
76). Relying on illusory and romanticized abstractions of heterosexuality, the heterosexual imaginary
obfuscates the institutionalized nature of this privileged status. This obfuscation

Experiment to Determine How Heart Rate is Affected by...
Throughout this investigation, I will be conducting a number of experiments to help solve whether or
not heart rate is affected by exercise. My aim is to identify the difference of every volunteer s heart
rate and take down how old they are so I can evaluate whether or not the age of a person make a
difference in their bpm (beats per minute).
Many people know when you exercise for long periods of time; your breathing becomes more shallow
and quick. The main human organ system used when exercising is the respiratory system. There are
two types of respiration your body can carry out, aerobic, with oxygen, and anaerobic, without. The
reason for getting tired from exercise is because when the body runs out of the oxygen it needs,
anaerobic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The exercise I have chosen to do throughout this investigation is skipping (jumping). The reason I
have chosen this specific activity is because I think it will produce more interesting results than a basic
exercise, such as running.
I managed to gather a total of 10 people to help conduct my experiment. Four people for year 9, three
for year 7 and three for sixth form. The reason I have chosen at least three people per age group is
because it is the smallest number of people you can have to find an accurate average. As said, I have
chosen four people for the year 9 age group. This is because the heart rates of the first original three
people varied far more than in the other two groups. I then decided to bring a fourth person so they
could help justify my results and show they are as valid as possible.
There are three variables in my experiment. The amount of time, the pulse rate and the age of the
people. I asked my volunteers to skip for five short but different periods of time. These time periods
varied from 30 seconds to 2 and a half minutes. I asked the people who had volunteered to jump for
the given time, and straight after jumping, count their pulse rate for 20 seconds (which was timed) and
I would then multiply it by three, to give a total of 60 secind/1 minute.
You can see the results fit very well with what was expected to occur. You could see that the heart rate
was increasing the

Nationalism In America
Hello, I am Susana Stripling and I am talking about the issues associated with rising neo nationalistic
policies. Some background on the issue, nationalism is the strong belief in the interests of a particular
nation state being of a higher importance than other nation states. Nationalism is associated with
strong patriotic feelings, increases in armaments, a feeling of superiority over other nations, political
independence, as well as the severing of ties and communications with other nations. Neo nationalism
is the re emergence of nationalism except under different global and transnational conditions.
Globalism is the complete opposite of nationalism. Globalism is when you put the entire world s
policies and attitudes and values above that of your own particular nation. It s working together as a
group. Transnational organizations are groups that are involved in international relations. It s ... Show

Trump s Make America Great Again ideals have caused severing of ties between other nations, despite
the fact that he is keeping communications and the nation is keeping communications and ties and

signs of neo nationalism.
Looking at neo nationalism rising globally, some examples of different countries that have neo
nationalistic policies, despite the fact that they may be small or they may be large, just starting or they
may have already been developed, is Japan s Shinzo Abe s Society in Which All 100 Million People

Good Morning EDL 605:
It was nice seeing you all Thursday night. I hope you are enjoying the weekend.
This past Thursday, I attempted to illustrate how the NEASC accreditation process drives school
improvement. My experience with the accreditation process at Coventry High School and Amity
Regional High School is common in all public high schools in the state of Connecticut, and across
New England. It is also a common experience in institutions of higher education. Sacred Heart s
teacher preparation program is currently going through the process of revising practices to align with
accrediting agency expectations. I can virtually guarantee that this process will improve the quality of

When business do not understand the mind of their target audience they do not generate the type of
responses they initially hoped. The psychological reasons why people comfort themselves when
buying products they don t need is often overlooked. Many American feel they need things but in
reality they just want them. Consumers will go into debt to buy an item they want to personally have.
The joy of seeing it in the house or having friends see them with it is worth it all for them. So many
consumers feel a great sense of comfort in consumer goods that are popular or in demand because they
feel like they can do or have things that others cannot.
Social Processes on Marketing Behavior
Most consumers reasons for buying goods are because friends or family may want them or have them
already. Consumers have said that the reason for buying products is because of someone they know
really wants the product or they want to be the first of the group to have it. This provides a great sense
of gratitude and joy for the consumer group to know that they were the first to have the product. This
brings out the competitive trait in the consumer. Many will go out of their way to get things others
want just so that they can be envied. This makes them feel like a leader or trend setter to the group.
The approval of products from friends, family or people in general plays a strong role in

Fear Of Social Anxiety
I left my house on a Summer s night, with no worries but with a little bit of confusion. This was very
unusual for me. I remember how amazing the weather felt. It wasn t too warm and it wasn t too cold. I
felt comfortable in my own skin. I was a bit excited because it was a night that I had planned for a
while with some old high school friends. It had been a while since I spoke to either one of them and it
was definitely time for a gathering. On the way there I felt myself become nervous. I started to sweat
as if I ran a mile or a marathon. This didn t feel like my typical self when I would get nervous. This
was a feeling of nervousness with fear. It was coming back. I thought I had been cured of this ugly
feeling but, I was wrong. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I knew that everyone else knew I had Social Anxiety. I had no problem with knowing that people
knew about my condition. I was more uncomfortable explaining it in a medical term. I had a fear of
Social Situations, which was the correct explanation of me being a Hermit . I was completely out of
the picture when it came to any type of gathering planned by friends or family members. I d think of
every excuse in the book just so I can avoid going. My fear of being judged, criticized and humiliated
was taking over. Where the ugly outcome of Social Anxiety unfolds immediately in the form of a
wounded self concept, the next ugly outcome comes about more frequently over time. Having a
wounded self concept makes it harder for you to have confidence in yourself, and when you have a
difficulty with confidence you will procrastinate. You tend to protect yourself with maladaptive
conscious strategies such as avoidance through difficult situations and challenging circumstances.
I always wondered how I became this way. Out of all the biological, physiological risk factors of
social anxiety; being a female, family history, new work demands or even temperament, I just could
relate to being a female. Social phobia wasn t something I d use to describe myself. I didn t have a
phobia, I just didn t feel comfortable leaving my house to be in crowded areas. To me phobia sounds
too serious. I had my good days and bad days. There were times I could actually go out, but for a short

The Rise Of Music In The Late 70 s And 80s
People in the late 70 s and 80 s have both happy and frustrating memories about the cassette tape. This
era of adolescents spent hours creating mix tapes to have their favorite songs on one tape instead of
having constantly switch out tapes for different songs. This made the sharing of music more personal,
important, and meaningful because one would want the perfect tape. However, once the compact disc
commonly known as the CD released in the early 1980 s (Downes 1) people were not aware of how it
will affect this culture of mix tapes and love for music. As the 80 s ended, also did the era of the
cassette. The end of this era started in 1983, where the sales of the compact disc reached 800,000
worldwide sales, and officially ended in 1990, where sales reached one billion sales (Downes 1). This
demised caused the rise of the CD and what it brought. What the compact disc brought was better

As the compact disc was getting more and more popular, this connection with music and people was
being lost. The people who were born in the late 70 s lived with tapes, both video and audio, personal
radios, and saw the development of the CD s and the mp3 file. These are the people, the teenagers,
that were most affected by the cassette disruption. These are the people who spent days, in total hours,
mixing tapes to share with others and to have for themselves. These total hours create a long list of
memories that they share to this day (Bolin 7 8). Gӧran Bolin, a professor at Södertörn University,
Sweden, did a study and wrote a journal called Passion and Nostalgia in Generational Media

How The Financial System Has Continuously Since The First...
1 Introduction The financial system has continuously evolved since the first accord was written. The
financial crisis has brought light to how imperative it is to have a stringent but flexible set of accords.
Since the period of 1993 to 2008, there has been a 12 fold increase in total assets held by global
systematic important banks while only a seven fold increase in the capital funding of these assets.
Global systematic banks are banks whose distress or failure could lead to severe repercussions to the
overall financial market due to their size, complexity and the systemic interconnectedness. Coupled
with the increase in leverage there was also an erosion of the quality of the capital, throughout this
period. The market lost confidence in the banking institution, leading to a major contraction in
liquidity available. This transmitted throughout the rest of the economy and only with the help of a
public bailout were the damages curtailed. The globalization and interconnectedness of the financial
market has led to the phenomenal growth post WW2. However with commerce taking place over a
global scale, and the financial market connecting lenders and savers throughout the world there has
become an apparent need for oversight and regulation. The breakdown of the Bretton Wood exchange
rate in 1973, caused banks to lose substantial money through unsettled trades and foreign currency
losses in the Herstatt risk fiasco. This led to the central banks of the G10 countries to establish

In the octave of the sonnet, he begins by thinking about how his sight was spent before he went blind, also how half his life on earth he is in the dark. He wants to serve God as best he can but still can t figure out how without his eyesight. He begins to question God as to whether God demands physical work when they don t have any light. Then in the sestet he is told that God is like a king and does not need anything from humans and has thousands of angels at his service. They move quickly over land and water, never resting. In the last line of the sonnet, he reflects that even with his disability he has a place in the world. This poem is written in Italian sonnet form. The services sector has been the highest contributor to GDP, at 56 per cent, followed by the industrial sector at 26 per cent and the agricultural sector at 18 per cent in 2004. Liberalization, private sector participation and increased competition have contributed to the expansion of the services sector, with buoyant performance in transportation, communications, financial services, trade and tourism. The performance in the agricultural sector is an important determinant of GDP, as this sector directly accounts for around one fifth of national output and employs over one third of the workforce. As a larger portion of adult onset asthma is initiated by allergies, acute pathophysiology may more closely resemble that of allergies (Levy, et al., 2014). Many NFL team doctors claim that they did not know about the illegal drugs and that they only use these companies for their systems of business. Gordon expresses that in a U T San Diego report written by Michael Lipman, NFL teams are not only using SportPharm, an unlicensed California Pharmacy, for their convenient tracking system, but for the buying of massive quantities of painkillers. These painkillers end up in the hands of the players who have the potential of misusing them from their intended use which can destroy their lives. From the Israeli struggle in their homeland during Roman rule to the hardships faced during the Civil Rights Movement, the desire for equal rights and freedom is not a new concept. Throughout history, one can find instances where events seem to repeat the events of the past. An instance of this is the parallel between the Enlightenment and the Stonewall Riots. Not only is there a parallel there, the French Revolution is similar to the Stonewall Riots as well. The Stonewall Riots were a series of riots that began on June 28th, 1969 in the early morning at the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village of New York City. Police raided the building after they discovered the bar had been serving alcohol without a license. After the arrests of the bar workers and some of the LGBT community, bottles were thrown from those in the bar. This led to an uprising in which the police were barricaded into the establishment and the rioters attempted to set the building on fire (which they do eventually). For the next 5 6 days, more LGBT activists would gather to protest in the area meeting the police who tried their best to stop them. In the end, the riots ended when the New York City Riot Police came in to control the area. One of the survivors of the riots, Scott G. Cambridge Dictionaries Online defines maternity leave as the period when a woman can legally be absent from work in the weeks before and after she has a baby and paternity leave as a period of time that a father is legally allowed to be away from his job so that he can spend time with his new baby. This is an excellent option as it would allow parents to take paid leave but there are also many disadvantages to this approach. First, some employees, especially if they are new, often accumulate very little sick or vacation time. If someone is earning four hours a pay period and there are 26 pay periods in a year, they would only accumulate approximately 13 days of leave. If they accrue sick leave at the same rate, that would give the employee a total of 26 days of paid leave, not even a month. Adding in a typical 10 federal holidays, an employee would have approximately 36 days for which they could take leave and be paid for which does not provide adequate income for an employee who has chosen to take the full 12 weeks of leave offered by FMLA. Using up all of one s leave can also create issues. If the employee catches the flu but has used up all of their leave, they will have to take leave without pay. If the employee has more than one child and that child becomes ill, they will not have to take leave without pay in order to stay home and nurse the child. This leave without pay could be covered under FMLA but if all of the benefits were used up during paternity leave, their position could be in jeopardy if they needed to take leave without pay for unforeseen reasons. The scope of my project involves training, education and changing the way our department interacts with arriving patients and the triaging process. The lack of specific tasks and communication in the triage area also lives. A dearth in communication has been directly linked to delays in patient care, medication errors, and lack of accountability (Sayah, Rogers, Devarajan, Kingsley Rocker, Lobon, 2014). The era from about 500 to 1000 C.E. is sometimes referred to as the Dark Ages in European history, partly because many aspects of the Roman civilization were lost, such as written language, advanced architectural and building techniques, complex government, and access to long distance trade. For the most part, these early people of Europe could not read or write, and lived much as their nomadic ancestors had. In their isolation, they slowly cleared the forested areas for farming, but their greatest need was for protection. However, the need for protection grew to be most important when the Vikings from Scandinavia invaded many areas of Europe in the 8th and 9th centuries, followed by the Magyars, who came from the east in the late 9th century. In response, Europeans established feudalism as a way to unite and protect them. European feudal institutions revolved around political and military relationships. The feudal political order developed into a complicated network of lord vassal relationships, with lords having overlords, and overlords owing allegiance to kings. On these foundations early kingdoms, such as England and France, were built, but in other areas, such as modern day Germany, the feudal organization remained highly decentralized. The Importance Of Heterosexuality Introduction: Prom, Coercion, Repression, and the Heterosexual Imaginary There is an omnipotent and elusory force that festers and conspires just beneath the placid surface of our society protected and intact. It is a force that lingers seemingly undetected in every relation, in every interaction and in every corner of society that it can fill. This force is manipulative, coercive, powerful and it structures nearly every aspect of social life. What is this force, you may ask? Well, it is popularly referred to as Heterosexuality. Indeed, heterosexuality, as an institution, produces and wields tremendous power over the lives and decisions of social actors. It cuts through every social facet, safeguards and constructs hierarchies and orders along lines of gender, sexuality, race, and class. Incontrovertibly, heterosexuality is a fundamental organizing principle of our society maintained through cultural productions, discursive practices, and heterosexual norms. Moreover, the dominance of heterosexuality is nourished and privileged through the heterosexual imaginary a way of thinking that conceals the operation of heterosexuality in structuring gender (across race, class and sexuality) and closes off any critical analysis of heterosexuality as an organizing institution (Ingraham, 2002, p. 76). I was more uncomfortable explaining it in a medical term. I had a fear of Social Situations, which was the correct explanation of me being a Hermit . I was completely out of the picture when it came to any type of gathering planned by friends or family members. I d think of every excuse in the book just so I can avoid going. My fear of being judged, criticized and humiliated was taking over. Where the ugly outcome of Social Anxiety unfolds immediately in the form of a wounded self concept, the next ugly outcome comes about more frequently over time. Having a wounded self concept makes it harder for you to have confidence in yourself, and when you have a difficulty with confidence you will procrastinate. You tend to protect yourself with maladaptive conscious strategies such as avoidance through difficult situations and challenging circumstances. I always wondered how I became this way. Out of all the biological, physiological risk factors of social anxiety; being a female, family history, new work demands or even temperament, I just could relate to being a female. Social phobia wasn t something I d use to describe myself. I didn t have a phobia, I just didn t feel comfortable leaving my house to be in crowded areas. To me phobia sounds too serious. I had my good days and bad days. There were times I could actually go out, but for a short period of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. The Rise Of Music In The Late 70 s And 80s People in the late 70 s and 80 s have both happy and frustrating memories about the cassette tape. This era of adolescents spent hours creating mix tapes to have their favorite songs on one tape instead of having constantly switch out tapes for different songs. This made the sharing of music more personal, important, and meaningful because one would want the perfect tape. However, once the compact disc commonly known as the CD released in the early 1980 s (Downes 1) people were not aware of how it will affect this culture of mix tapes and love for music. As the 80 s ended, also did the era of the cassette. The end of this era started in 1983, where the sales of the compact disc reached 800,000 worldwide sales, and officially ended in 1990, where sales reached one billion sales (Downes 1). This demised caused the rise of the CD and what it brought. What the compact disc brought was better sound, made it easier to produce and record music, and destroyed the ... The people who were born in the late 70 s lived with tapes, both video and audio, personal radios, and saw the development of the CD s and the mp3 file. These are the people, the teenagers, that were most affected by the cassette disruption. These are the people who spent days, in total hours, mixing tapes to share with others and to have for themselves. These total hours create a long list of memories that they share to this day (Bolin 7 8). Gӧran Bolin, a professor at Södertörn University, Sweden, did a study and wrote a journal called Passion and Nostalgia in Generational Media Experiences , and within it he interviews three focus groups. The last focus group was the people born in the late 70 s, and one interviewee, Frida, recalls the connection ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 31. How The Financial System Has Continuously Since The First... 1 Introduction The financial system has continuously evolved since the first accord was written. The financial crisis has brought light to how imperative it is to have a stringent but flexible set of accords. Since the period of 1993 to 2008, there has been a 12 fold increase in total assets held by global systematic important banks while only a seven fold increase in the capital funding of these assets. Global systematic banks are banks whose distress or failure could lead to severe repercussions to the overall financial market due to their size, complexity and the systemic interconnectedness. Coupled with the increase in leverage there was also an erosion of the quality of the capital, throughout this period. The market lost confidence in the banking institution, leading to a major contraction in liquidity available. This transmitted throughout the rest of the economy and only with the help of a public bailout were the damages curtailed. The globalization and interconnectedness of the financial market has led to the phenomenal growth post WW2. However with commerce taking place over a global scale, and the financial market connecting lenders and savers throughout the world there has become an apparent need for oversight and regulation. The breakdown of the Bretton Wood exchange rate in 1973, caused banks to lose substantial money through unsettled trades and foreign currency losses in the Herstatt risk fiasco. This led to the central banks of the G10 countries to establish ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Illness is not merely a physical experience but also a social experience .A biologist illustrates the physical consequences of social practices that if a society puts half of its children in dresses and skirts but warns them not to move in ways that reveal underpants, while putting the other half in jeans and overall and encouraging them to climb tresses and play ball and other active outdoor games. Later during adolescence the half that has worn trousers is exhorted to eat like a growing boy while half in skirts is warned to watch its weight and get fat. If the half in jeans trot around in sneakers or boots, while the half in skirts totters about on spike heels, then these two groups of people will be biologically as well as socially, ...
