A Brain Computer Interface is a communication and control system in which human mind can be
translated to the external world without the help of the normal output pathways of muscles and nerves.
Each time we do something or think about doing something, our brain generates distinct signals.
These signals corresponding to an activity, has a pattern. Finding this pattern is a challenging job and
is the main task of any Brain Computer Interface. A BCI acquires these signals from the brain of a
user in the form of Electroencephalography (EEG). Then after pre processing, feature extraction and
classification, it translates these signals into meaningful commands or instructions to drive a device or
application. Electroencephalography is used to record electrical fields that represent the brain signals
and are generated due to the local brain function.
Most of the applications today are only used in computers and just focus on the realization of direction

The reason this film was able to do that is through the way that director Miguel Coyula was able
manipulate so many of the images within his shots to fit the interview and add emphasis to the words
of Alcides. I have not studied Cuba s history much, so I found this film to be incredibly informative. I
loved Rafael Alcides s story! This film was a very abstract form of art that was a little difficult to
process. I am still trying to grasp it all, but overall I found that this film accomplished everything that
it set out to do. The best part of going to this event was being able to stay for the Q A session
following the movie with director Miguel Coyula. I learned a lot more about how Coyula was able to
manipulate his shots and animate certain portions of the film. Coyula also explained that this film is
heavily censored in Cuba. In fact, he told us that he is banned from showing his film in Cuba. This
film was also rejected by the Miami Film Festival because of their being so many Cubans who could
see it and by Michael Moore and his Detroit Film Festival because of the negative messages about

Each of these figures was a strong, successful leader. It is not a coincidence that this definition of

Evaporation
Evaporation, in general, involves a substance changing its physical state from a liquid to a gas (US
Department of Commerce, n.d; National Geographic Society, 2013; Northwest River Forecast Centre
[NRFC], n.d). An example of this is when the body heats up during exercise or due to temperature,
and releases sweat to try and cool down and producing water onto the skin (US Department of
Commerce, n.d). Energy is required for evaporation to occur, and this energy source can come from
the atmosphere, entities such humans, or in the case of the water cycle, the sun is the source of energy

When making a comparison between our moon and those of other planets it is interesting to view the
number of moons each planet has, their size, and their proportion of mass as compared to the planet.
Within the terrestrial planets, Mercury and Venus do not have moons, Earth has one moon, and Mars
has two. Earth has only one moon and this moon is only 1.2% of the mass of Earth. Mars has two

The Global Effects of the Cold War and Decolonization The Cold War, also known as what could have
been the third world war, conquered the second half of the 20th century. This international crisis,
beginning at the end of World War II, is defined as the period of tension between the United States and
the Soviet Union. There are numerous reasons as to why many believed the Cold War commenced,
one being that the Soviet Union wanted to spread its belief of communism worldwide, which in turn
alarmed the democratic American society. This decades long war had numerous long lasting impacts
on the global world, as did decolonization. Major cold war events included: the build up of huge
armories of atomic weapons and ballistic missiles by the U.S and the Soviet Union, formation of
NATO and the Warsaw Pact, the policy of Détente, the rise and fall of the Berlin Wall, and the
collapsing of the Soviet Union. The Cold War and decolonization affected the global world by creating
a polarized and combative environment, and dividing the world on the basis of democracy versus
communism. Both the Soviet Union and United States had their own arsenals of weapons during the
Cold War, and this was made evident during the Cuban Missile Crisis, which began on October 14,
1962. Earlier in May of 1962, the United States attempted to overthrow the Cuban government. In

As I head out towards the lion dance, I go through a maze like structure. On my way towards the
dance, an oppressive smell of gunpowder fills the unruly air. You can hear the deafening explosions
from the fire crackers dominating the skies. This place yet so full of commotion, I can just be at ease. I
