Innovation In Child Care Essay
This research expects to identify a process of innovation suitable for individuals in a community
context. In this process, this study will examine various psychological and social issues having
profound influences on people to be innovative. However, an issue related to the understanding of the
meaning of innovation won t be overlooked, which remains vague and ambiguous. The latter will help
to gain philosophical insights of the concept, and will contribute to developing a generalized definition
of innovation. The former will enhance individuals dexterity in the process of achieving innovation.
The concept of innovation originates in Greece during the fifth century BC with a pejorative meaning
(Godin, B., 2012, working paper no.12). In contrast, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the process of innovation is closely linked to the understanding of innovation whether it is
an act of bringing changes or consequence of an action which represents changes. It is easily
understandable that any particular action does not ensure the same outcome but may bring changes,
and all changes are not considered innovation. So, it is imperative to develop a clear understanding of
the concept for proposing a generalized process of innovation.
The contextual focus of this study will contribute to bringing innovation in child care services by
assisting child care workers to be innovative, which will reduce the gap between the services offered
by child care workers and the services expected by other stakeholder groups.
Academically, this study will contribute to resolving a century old puzzle associated with the research
on innovation. An adequate and generalized understanding of innovation and the process of innovation
appears eminent for satisfying the epistemological, ontological and methodological inquiries
associated with the research on

William Shakespeare s Twelfth Night And Thomas Middleton...
The Renaissance: Essay 1 revisited
The Renaissance was a time of cultural and social revolution in England, at least in the south of it.
The plays and playwrights of the time challenged the societal norms and pushed boundaries into never
before thought of areas, this essay will show how Renaissance drama was subversive and created the
world we live in today. The two plays I will be focusing on are: William Shakespeare s Twelfth Night
and Thomas Middleton s Women beware Women . Both share similar themes yet go about them very
differently to one another.
Twelfth Night (or What You Will ) was written in 1601, near the middle of Shakespeare s career, and a
mere 15 years before his death in 1616. Considered by many critics as one of his greatest comedies,
Twelfth Night is about deception, disguises and madness, along with the bizarre things caused by love
itself. This play is also one of Shakespeare s plays that include a female protagonist, pretending to be a
man. (At the time of the play all parts where played by men, so Viola would have been a man
pretending to be a women who was also pretending to be a man!)
Viola, the female protagonist, like many of Shakespeare s heroines is likeable from the get go with no
real character flaws to note of and no serious faults to note of. (Discounting her decision to dress as a
man, as it sets the plot in motion.) And while other character s love is a fickle thing, such as Orsino
who can t decide between Olivia and

Analysis Of Chekhov s The Brothers Karamazov
Chekhov s use of allusion in Misery also stands in stark contrast to the works of other Russian literary
giants such as Dostoevsky and Tolstoy, whose works often featured deep themes revolving around the
aforementioned Christian thought. While a deep discussion on these themes is out of the scope of this
paper, perhaps one of the most obvious and contrasting examples can be found in Dostoevsky s The
Brothers Karamazov, which was published around 6 years before Chekhov wrote Misery . Towards
the end of the novel, Father Zosima, a figure who acts as a mouthpiece for Dostoevsky s own thoughts
on religion, indirectly responds to the arguments of Ivan Karamazov, who rejects God because of the
existence of suffering innocents and other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But Jonah is not humbled and reverent as Job is. Instead, Jonah prayed to the Lord and said, O Lord, is
not this what I said when I was yet in my country? That is why I made haste to flee to Tarshish; for I
knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and
relenting from disaster (Jonah 4:2). Jonah refuses to simply accept God s message, and instead
challenges God to explain why he even had to go through his journey in the first place. When God
responds, the Book of Jonah simply ends, and we never hear from Jonah again. The final image of
Jonah is of him sitting under a wilting plant, fuming and wishing for an end to his life. Thus Jonah
himself is in fact one of the more miserable figures of the Bible. It is only appropriate that Chekhov
chose such an unorthodox figure, rather than someone like Job, to connect to the misery of his
protagonist. Jonah s questioning of God even when facing his literal presence is also appropriate given
Chekhov s own questioning of faith. Jonah, in a Chekhovian fashion, focuses on the realities of what
he had to go through, rather than being humbled and indulging in Job s deep, yet clear cut answers and
happy ending. The allusion to Jonah in Misery serves only to introduce a hint of Christian metaphysics
into the story, providing Chekhov with an opportunity to deconstruct its influence in society and in the
works of his

The Role Of Nationality In The US
A nation state is accurately defined as a country established by or for the dominant cultural group or
nationality within its borders ( Nation State ). It is a state made by a national community and for a
national community. A multinational state on the other hand, is a well defined, existing state home to
two or more recognized nationalities ( Multinational State ). Each recognized nationality would have
its own defined territory within a state but would partake in politics as a cultural entity. When
considering recognized nationalities including English Americans, Latino Americans, African
Americans, and Asian Americans, the U.S. would then be considered as a multinational state because
citizens work cooperatively together for the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the U.S., I believe that there are cultural groups which challenge the idea of a common American
culture. For instance, the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas is ubiquitously known for its
hate speech against LGBT people, Catholics, Orthodox Christians, Muslims, Jews, American soldiers,
and American politicians. Combating against many of the characteristics that U.S. citizens identify
with, this church sustains their life force by challenging the common American culture of working
together for the common good. The church has been denounced by prominent Baptist denominations
and other mainstream denominations have also condemned the actions of this church. The institution
refuses to work together with other organizations due to the major differing beliefs and values it full
heartedly supports in its mission statement. The result of their actions have served absolutely no good

Essay on Exxon Mobil
ExxonMobil is the largest publicly traded oil and gas producing company. ExxonMobil does business
in 200 countries world wide (1). Some countries are designated for exploring gas and petroleum, and
some are designated for manufacturing chemicals, lubricants, and market fuels (1). ExxonMobil s
world class petroleum portfolio gives access to proven reserves of 21.9 billion oil equivalent barrels of
oil and gas, which is the highest in the industry (1). The company s discovered resources consist of 72
billion oil equivalent barrels of oil and gas. On average, each day, they produce 2.5 million barrels of
oil and 10.5 billion cubic feet of gas (4). Their asset base, includes more than 60,000 production wells

Competition in the oil industry is separated by about 10 cents here in the US. The difference between
ARCCO, Shell, Mobil, and Chevron, is between 1 and 10 cents. Oil companies don t compete with
each other. With gas prices constantly fluctuating towards the $3 mark, there is little room to raise
prices. Consumers will not pay 25 cents more for a gallon of gas. Although Chevron Texaco and
ExxonMobil make have a slight difference in price at the pump, the will not try to do anything to rock
the boat. Chevron Texaco, or Texaco Shell, is the leading competitor to ExxonMobil. Texaco is in the
same areas of business as Exxon. Their petroleum products and lubricants are sold in the same
markets, stores, and in many cases opposite street corners from each other. The two companies are
very similar, but Exxon s recent petroleum deals in the Middle East and Africa have allowed its stock
price to jump ahead for the time being (1). In the industry, the two companies mainly compete for the
ability to negotiate for new production. The competition is not made at the pump or at the local auto
store. It seems that it s more important to control oil than it is to sell it quickly. Because oil has so
much value and power in the world, the industry is made of semi friendly companies. Surviving and
making as much profit as possible, is more important than trying to put people out of business. Exxon

Youth 201 Section #B01
What I Have Learned? (at least two full pages)
During this second observation at Coastal Grand Mall in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, I learned
many things. I went to this location on a Saturday night, where it was full of young people. The
weather outside was warm, but rainy, so I believe this caused even more people to look for indoor fun,
so the mall was packed on this Saturday night.
I began my observation in the food court, which is near the movie theatre. This is definitely a hot spot
in the mall for young people. I got something to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another thing I noticed about the young people at the mall that night was the language they used! I
was completely appalled at the way these young people were speaking. As the young people moved
about around me, I couldn t believe some of the words that were coming out of their mouths. I realize
that these are young people and they are still trying to figure themselves out and fit in, but I honestly
did not realize that young people spoke this way. It was very difficult for me not to speak up at that
point and ask them to please not use that type of language. This made me realize the negativity that
must be going on in their minds and hearts. This really opened my eyes to the actions of young people
that I wasn t aware of.
Seeing the way these young people were acting, dressing, and speaking made me realize, to an even
greater degree, how important youth ministry is. These young people broke my heart that night as I
realized how lost they must be. Many of them probably didn t grow up in loving homes. Many of them
may not even have homes to go to when they left the mall that night. What is truly heartbreaking is
that many of them may have never had anyone share the Gospel with them. Their actions that night
are only a result of the environment they ve grown up in. I tried to imagine the home life some of
them came from. As I attempted to look deeper, I wondered which

Ready Player One Quotes
You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that
makes the existing model obsolete. by R. Buckminster Fuller, This quote means you can t change the
reality by fighting it. But you can change it by creating a better world for yourself or someone else.
This quote is true because you cannot go against the real world but you can create a better world for
yourself by trying and not giving up. For example Pollution, instead of arguing with each other, people
can make electric cars instead of cars that consume gas. The dystopian novel, Ready player one, by
Ernest Cline and the short story Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut jr. as well as real world events
prove the interpretation.
The novel Ready Player One by Ernest Cline supports the quote by R. Buckminster Fuller because the
main character, Wade Watts escapes the reality by entering the OASIS because he doesn t enjoy being
in the real world. On page 18 Wade Watts stated that luckily, I had access to the OASIS, which was
like having an escape hatch into a better reality. This quote from the story proves the lens valid

Interdependence On Canada
Canada has always been dependent on the United States Pierre Trudeau once said, Living next to you
(the United States) is in some ways like sleeping with an elephant. No matter how friendly and even
tempered is the beast, if I can call it that, one is affected by every twitch and grunt. This saying gives a
deep understanding of what Canada s relationship with the States was like. The U.S. is a country that
has flourished throughout history and Canada was right behind. The U.S has almost 10 times more the
population than Canada. So, Canada has depended on the U.S for simple things such as getting tourists
from them to visit Canada. It is evident that Canada s dependence on the U.S, was higher than
America s dependence on Canada. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The isolationism policy was an approach to not get involved in any world affairs. This was initially
used by the United States during the Great Depression. However, Canada was so dependent on the
U.S. that they used the same policy. Another example of their dependence on the U.S. was during the
Vietnam War. Canada depended on the U.S. by selling 2.7 billion dollars of war materials so that it
would help them financially. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), is a great example of
how Canada depended on the U.S. Both the countries were afraid of the Soviet Union attacking, so
NATO helped with Canada and the U.S coming together to protect themselves from the Soviet Union
from attacking. If Canada wasn t dependant on the States, they would have dealt with the conflicts
they had with the Soviet Union on their own. The U.S has a great effect on Canada s decisions when it

Tetrachlorodobenzo-P-Dioxidation Lab Report
Photodegradation of dioxins appears to be the only chemical reaction that leads to the elimination of
dioxins in the environment. Photochemical dechlorination and photooxidation in the presence of
hydroxyl radicals, ozone and PAN (peroxy acetyl nitrate) are two possible types of reactions. These
reactions, their velocities, their products are still poorly characterized.
However, in general, it appears that the photodegradation rates of dioxins increase when the number
of chlorine atoms in the molecule decreases, and that reaction with hydroxyl radicals is the dominant
photooxidation mechanism in the atmosphere. Also, photolysis is faster in the gaseous phase than on
particles or in water; The presence of organic compounds in water or in

Other studies have shown that out of a hundred microbial lines possessing the ability to degrade
persistent pesticides, only 5 of them possessed a certain capacity to biodegrade 2,3,7,8
tetrachlorodibenzo p dioxin . Some mushrooms have also demonstrated this ability in the laboratory.
However, metabolic rates remain low (2.23% after
30 days, 3.96% after 60 days). This capacity of the fungi is attributed to an extracellular enzyme
activity associated with the natural degradation of lignin. To determine the persistence of
2,3,7,8 tetrachlorodibenzo p dioxin, silty and sandy soils were artificially enriched with
2,3,7,8 tetrachlorodibenzo p dioxin at different concentrations. Measurements were made after
incubation at 28 ° C for 20, 40, 80, 160 and 350 days. After 350 days, 56% of 2,3,7,8
tetrachlorodibenzop dioxin was still present in the silty soils and 63% in the sandy soils, a slight
degradation was observed in both soils. However, other dioxin congeners are more resistant to
biodegradation. Thus, laboratory experiments on sandy loam soils artificially enriched with
1,2,3,7,8 pentachlorodibenzo p dioxin and octachlorodibenzo p dioxin have shown that at pH
8.1 these two substances were still present after 15 months of

Army as a Staff Sergeant, I continually fulfill duty positions that are above and beyond my pay grade
in both garrison and deployed environments, yet still remain competent on the tenets of my career
field. This is best exemplified in my recent deployment with 1st Special Forces Group in support of
Operation Inherent Resolve. As a Staff Sergeant, I served as the CJSOTF I Task Force
Counterintelligence Coordinating Authority, which is doctrinally a CW3 billet. I laid the foundation

Censorship
This paper will cover censorship in film with its main focus in the United States. It will cover the
progress of film censorship and how it has varied throughout the country as well as state to state. The
reader will discover how film censorship has changed with society and can be a resemblance of
society at a certain point in time. Important cases and lawsuits will be covered as well, enabling the
reader to understand why and how certain laws were created and questioned.
The first acknowledgment of regulating film arrived in 1896 after Thomas Edison s landmark film,
The Kiss. Critics of this film saw it as a threat to morality, thus raising questions on what should or
should not be shown to the public. Shortly after concern over The Kiss, the first statute in movie
censorship was enacted. The State of Maine implemented the statute in order to prevent the exhibition
prizefight of the 1897 heavyweight championship between James Corbett and Bob Fitzsimmons. This
opened the door for other organizations and states to regulate on their own terms. Although most
scholars regard the 1907 ordinance of the City of Chicago as the first act of censorship in the United
States, but as state above, the prevention of prizefighting in Maine is now regarded as the first act of
censorship. Nevertheless, the 1907 ordinance of the City of Chicago was groundbreaking for film
censorship. This ordinance made it illegal to show any

The automobiles industry, it is a risky business. The automobile industries move trillions of dollars in
the United States every year. It is not strange for us to see one or the other automobile industries
asking for a government bailout in order to get out of a hole. Every project depends on a large volume
of money, for instance, a single car project may consume billions of dollars. In addition, the industry
works with negative capital, the return on the investment will be recovered only with the sales of the
cars, (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Base Prospectus, 2016, p. 18). In this research paper we will explore:
1. The risks that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles takes; 2. How FCA changed their opportunities managing
the main risks; 3. Developing market strategies to increase sales; 4. Using TQM to delineate the
market strategies. In the following paragraphs, we will go over each topic to explain the main risks of
a new car project and how to use the Total Quality Management TQM principles to develop strategies
to overcome the risks. Like other automobile industries, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles assumes every day
risks to maintain the company running. As mentioned above, the launching of a new car model is a
huge risk for the car industry. A project for a new car involves a large volume of employees,

Salomon V Salomon And Co Ltd
Salomon v Salomon and Co Ltd (1897)
When was law firstly introduced? Laws where present for decades as people where punished for
breaking the laws. In regard to our case, which was in 1897. The case was between Salomon v
Salomon and Co Ltd, which is a person and a company he owned. He filled a case against his
company that the company owes him money and then the creditors of the company reverted the case
on him as being the owner he should be liable to pay them back as the company went to liquidation.
Facts of the case
An entrepreneur called Aron Salomon started a company that produces boots and other leather
products. His children wanted to become partners with their father so Salomon started a new company
called Salomon and Co Ltd. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He was paid 5,000 for his debentures. The money came from the sales of assets
Salomon claimed that the amount from the assets sold and bank balance was his, as he also owned
debentures in the company worth 9,000, which made the company liable to pay him back the
remaining amount. After this action the creditors of the company were afraid that the company would
not pay them back. The creditors resisted Salomon s action to claim the rest of the money by filling a
lawsuit against him that the balance of money available is owed to them rather than him as he is
considered the owner of the company and should be accounted for the liquidation and pay them back
from his own money if the balance from the company was not enough.
Rule of the Court
High Court
The case between Broderip v Salomon where Broderip sued Salomon to pay back the amount
Broderip owed the company, was first assigned to the high court with the judge Vaughan. We know
from the facts of the case that Broderip was paid 5,000. The court considered that the company is an
agent by which it was held by Salomon so the first court ruled that Salomon and Co Ltd are
considered as the same person but with different names so Salomon was held liable to pay the
creditors or in this case Broderip back his debenture amounts. Judge Vaughen ruled to Broderip
against Salomon and held Salomon liable to pay back the debenture amount remaining to Broderip.

Since the beginning of time, man had lived harmoniously with nature; the two coexisted and formed a

together. These things work together to, create one or more large pools of computing resources
(grid.ziffdavis.com). A grid is unique in that it can be molded and changed to fit the specific needs and
demands of each business. Grid is a type of parallel and distributed system that enable the sharing
selection, and aggregation of geographically distributed autonomous resources dynamically at runtime
depending on their availability, capability, performance, cost, and users quality of service requirements
(gridcomputing.com). It is based on the idea of cooperation and being able to sharing information. It is
different from the idea of the internet because instead of sending the information to others, it is all
stored in one place together which is accessible. The grid allows the organization s users to share their
information and the company s application with one another easily. No matter where the members are
in a company they are able to access and use the information that other employees have on the grid.
Each member of the company is able to access applications and company information. Utility

Jfk Campaign Essay
During the 1960 election between John F. Kennedy and Richard M. Nixon, the Kennedy campaign
created a jingle, and then adapted it into a political campaign ad, unique from any other at its time.
This ad as well as the context of the times is ultimately helped JFK get elected as president in the 1960
election. First I will briefly explain the context of the 1960 election and the issues surrounding the
time. Next I will introduce the Kennedy Jingle political ad, and finally I will analyze the persuasive
powers of the jingle, and the effect it had on the election of JFK. The presidential election of 1960 fell
right in the time of a heated Cold War with the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union also had just taken a
lead in the space race by launching the Sputnik satellite ( Kennedy Nixon Debates U.S. Presidents ).
The stress of the spread of communism and the issues with civil rights and desegregation had divided
the nation. This raised a lot of questions about democracy in the United States. At this time in history
there was a deep need for strong leadership, and ultimately this leadership would come from John F.

Independent voters are actively pursued by candidates during elections, because their voting
preferences can easily be changed (Chou 391). While I don t think this ad was aimed specifically at
one group, I believe it is aimed at people who will vote for him no matter what and undecided voters.
As the quote says, undecided voters opinions can easily be changed, and I feel as if when an
undecided voter would have went to vote, if they had seen the Kennedy ad, the would likely remember
the tune and the name Kennedy. This idea that when a voter went to vote, they would remember the
jingle is exactly the idea that I believe the Kennedy campaign had in mind when creation this

Prefrontal Cortex Research Paper
The prefrontal cortex is the most anterior region of the frontal lobe. It occupies one third of the
cerebral cortex and is key for executive functions such as problem solving, working memory, and
emotional control. It is also crucial in decision making and the expression of personality. The
prefrontal cortex is imperative for efficient cognitive functioning; damage can result in severe
impairment to skills such as emotional regulation, moral behavior, and empathy. In addition, the
prefrontal cortex is a sub region of the frontal cortex; this includes the primary motor cortex and
premotor cortex in addition to the prefrontal cortex areas, which are located more anteriorly. The

Female Athletes
In this report I will be exploring two conditions and their implications on female athletes. The
conditions I will be investigating in relation to female athletes are pregnancy and iron deficiency.
Pregnancy
Overview
Pregnancy, also known as gestation, is the term used to describe the period in which a fetus develops
inside a woman s womb or uterus (Definition from
https://www.nichd.nih.gov/health/topics/pregnancy/conditioninfo/Pages/default.aspx). Pregnancy is
typically divided into three trimesters, the first is twelve (12) weeks, the second is fifteen(15) weeks,
the third is eleven (11) weeks. Totalling nine (9) months, this is commonly expressed as the term of
pregnancy.
Female athletes who ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Pregnant athletes should avoid exercise in hot conditions and for long durations. To avoid this the
athlete should drink water throughout the day in order to stay hydrated.
Sports Injuries can occur if the mother participates in a contact sport such as boxing, wrestling,
football and soccer, gymnastics, skiing, or any sport where contact levels are higher than that of
everyday life. At any stage during the pregnancy, any extreme pressure or force (or fall onto) to the
abdomen can damage the placenta. Later in the pregnancy, the fetus is no longer protected by the
pelvis, creating greater risk of damage by direct impact during sport.
Oxygen Deficiency can vary throughout pregnancy, it will be involved with the duration, type and
intensity that the athlete performs. This will increase the fetus heart rate, however if training occurs
regularly the fetus will become better conditioned and have the ability to adapt to the strain of
exercise. Irregular extreme exercise can be detrimental to the fetus.

The Meaning Of Education In Education
Melissa Biddle, the author of When Opportunity knocks: Integrating language arts and the daily

invade our day and precious times. Biddle believes the solution to this problem is to integrate curricula
whenever possible. She states, This careful orchestration and intermingling of subject matter is
referred to as integrate or interdisciplinary instruction because language arts are brought into various
disciplines such as social studies, science, and math. According to Biddle, Calendar lesson are a whole

examples of how she integrates curriculum using calendars. According to Biddle, This calendar time is

correspond with our curriculum. Biddle states, As the students investigate these concepts of time, the
perfect opportunity arises to start talking in past, present, and future tense Biddle also uses a math

measures for research efforts were counts of the numbers of articles published and research grants

The Evolution Of The Accounting Profession
Discussion Board 1: Case 1 5: The Evolution of the Accounting Profession Throughout history the
accounting profession has seen continuous growth. It has even been discovered that an elaborate
accounting system was utilized as early as 8000 to 3000 B.C. (Schroeder, Clark, Cathey, 2014).
Humans have deemed it necessary for centuries to account for money and inventory items. In the
nineteenth century, the accounting profession took another major step forward when the joint ventures
evolved into corporations in England resulting in stockholders needing financial records reflecting the
companies performance (Schroeder et. al, 2014). This emergence of corporations brought about the
need for reporting on a periodic basis in order to allow owners and prospective stockholders to
evaluate the company to determine if their investments, or potential investments, yielded a return
(Schroeder et. al, 2014). The evolution of these corporations brought about the need for accounting
standards and laws that would that protect the investment of shareholders, require that dividends be
paid from net gains, and require that audits be conducted by people other than the directors of the
organization(s) (Schroeder et. al, 2014). These changes in the nineteenth century led the charge in the
development for accounting standards and laws that we still follow today, and they are constantly
evolving and improving in order to protect investors from scandal and fraud. The latter part of the

in the first and second quatrain that echo common political rhetoric. The lines of the poem

attention to this political situation by the gap in the last line of the poem, He spoke. And drank a glass

completeness of the sentence creates a space between it and the continuation of the line, And drank

Although majority of the participants said that they assumed media representations had negative
impacts on other lesbians identities and lesbian communities, it was also brought up that it could and
can be used as a positive influence on identity. One of the examples given by one of the participants
was the media s use in helping her realize she was a lesbian in the first place by portraying lesbian
women that she began to have sexual feelings for. Another women had explained that she felt if a
young girl was struggling with sexuality, media could possible provide the outlet for her to not only
learn about lesbian relationships but to help identify herself as one as well. It is through Gomillion s
article that we can relate to the medias positive influence on lesbian identity where she explains,
media had influenced self realization, coming out, and current identities by providing role models and
inspiration and also media role models serve as sources of pride, inspiration, and comfort (330). We
can see that media has the potential to aid and contribute positivity to lesbians self identity, if only we
can move from the stereotypical and unrealistic representations so dominantly used. The participants
also expressed a sense of media s growing potential to have a positive influence on lesbian identity.
The history of lesbian invisibility and the vast number of lesbians and lesbian relationships currently
on mainstream media has the potential to greatly impact how lesbians are viewed and thus how they
may look at themselves. As lesbianism becomes more of a norm and less of a fetish and a broader
variety of lesbian women are brought into the mainstream hopefully including different races, classes,

a total of 154 cases of the measles were reported in the United States, from January 1, 2015 to
February 20, 2015. As of February 23rd, 2015 Sandee LaMotte, a CNN reporter, explained via the
Centers for Disease Control has mentioned that the measles outbreak is continuing to grow daily. To
address this particular issue is to thoroughly explain the importance of ethical and legal rights versus
governmental officials laws and regulations. Vaccines are made up of bacteria, viruses or other
antigens that are given to stimulate the immune system to create antibodies which will try to prevent
future infections with the disease. The importance of vaccinating today s children is to protect
everyone around them and to protect our future generations to come. The CDC issued that 118 of the
reported 154 cases are connected to a large, continuous multi state measles outbreak that started in the
Disneyland amusement park in December of 2014. In connection to the Disneyland case, two other
ongoing outbreaks are located in Illinois with 14 cases linked to a daycare center, and Nevada that has
six cases of the measles. The majority of people who had developed the measles were unvaccinated. In

G.I. Bill of Rights
The GI Bill gave all returning veterans the freedom and opportunities that non veterans had, and
provided them with many benefits needed to live the American dream. The GI Bill gave the United
States veterans education. It also provided VA hospitals with veteran benefits. The law also made a
possible loan of billions of dollars to purchase homes for millions of veterans. The G.I Bill gave
opportunity to pursue formal education which a lot of veterans did since education was pretty much
paid for. In the short run, many colleges and universities were seriously jeopardized. In the late 1940 s
veterans bought homes in many of the new suburbs for $8,000 with no down payment required.
World War II had a great toll on the nation s economy. It hurt many Americans, and a lot of them had
to leave their education to serve as soldiers and sailors. The war used many of the already shorted
resources, and with a lot of the men who ran farms, bakeries, and meat providers being taken into war,
this led to a shortage of cash flow and resources. During WWII Roosevelt talked over the matter with
President George F. Zook and other leaders of the American Council of Education. He believed the
federal government had a responsibility and an important role in helping returning veterans get an
education. Several Bills branched off the GI Bill including a Vocational Rehabilitation Bill. This bill
provided federal funds to retrain and rehabilitate veterans who had been disabled in the civilian
defense industry. In a quote from history.com, In his speech at the signing of the bill, Roosevelt

Analysis Of The Book Georgia Odyssey By James C. Cobb
Written by James C. Cobb, a distinguished history professor at the University of Georgia named B.
Phinizy Spalding, Georgia Odyssey is a revolutionary book covering the state of Georgia from its
humble beginnings as a colony in 1732 to the beginning of a new millennium in 2000. The book
discusses James Oglethorpe s original intentions for the colony, then through the ugly side beginning
in 1751, when slaves were permitted into the colony. Slavery directly impacted the ever developing
definition of American freedom, which is what Cobb conveys throughout the entire book. Personally, I
had not given much thought to the reason of Georgia s success as a state was because of the
phenomenon of slavery. The acclaimed book begins with Georgia beginning as a dry and modest
colony. As the years pass, these ideals and morals are changed to desiring more than a hardworking
farmer. The people of Georgia desired to have slaves. Therefore, Georgia changed and started a path to
become identical to South Carolina. However, as the amount of plantations sky rocketed, so did the
need for more slaves. It is a marvel to imagine that I live in the city of Savannah that was a beacon for
the selling and exchanging of human beings. The ugly history of success does not end when slavery is
outlawed in 1865. Racism was still very much alive in the South. Jim Crow laws were instated in an
effort to halt the freedoms of Black Americans, until they were done away with. Skipping ahead to the
1960s,

Learning Styles In Nursing Education Essay
Q1. Different learning styles Nursing is a discipline that demands the practitioner be able to
understand higher level abstract medical and scientific concepts, yet also deploy them in a hands on
manner. It requires the practitioner to learn from observing more experienced colleagues. Thus, using
different approaches to teaching is not simply sound on the basis of the strengths of the individual
students, but also a necessary part of teaching the art and science of nursing. The use of technology in
the nursing classroom has vastly expanded the teaching resources for faculty members. Visual learners
can access video links to view various procedures being performed, rather than simply reading about
them in a textbook. Auditory listeners can supplement their learning by listening to podcasts or even
simply tape lectures to listen to again, to reinforce the knowledge they have learned. Kinesthetic
learners can access technology that allows them to simulate procedures. It is this form of simulation
technology, however, that is likely to be the most useful in nursing education, given that its
multisensory nature can be adapted to suit the needs of the widest variety of learners. One of the most
commonly used methods of deploying technology in the nursing classroom is that of simulation
technology. High fidelity human patient simulation (HFPS) is increasingly regarded as an essential
element of nursing education programs (Diener Hobbes 2004: 34). This increases the level of

Universal Ethical Egoism
Ethical Egoism is one of the most controversial theories in all of Moral Philosophy having received
both bitter criticism and high praise from philosophers of all stripes. While it was a prevalent topic in
the mid to late 19th century, Ethical Egoism is rarely discussed today. This lack of contemporary
relevance stems from a series of formidable criticisms which gave opponents of Ethical Egoism an
apparent victory over its proponents. For the most part, however, these opponents have failed to
account for egoism s complexities; whereas there are multiple versions of Ethical Egoism, opponents
usually argue against a very narrow, general conception. Thus, in the following essay, I claim that the
argument is all but won by demonstrating that these criticisms are not as strong as they appear. I will

Relationship Between Abigail And Elizabeth In The Crucible
Mary, Abigail, Elizabeth, and John all have unique relationships to one another in the play The

  • 2. Innovation In Child Care Essay This research expects to identify a process of innovation suitable for individuals in a community context. In this process, this study will examine various psychological and social issues having profound influences on people to be innovative. However, an issue related to the understanding of the meaning of innovation won t be overlooked, which remains vague and ambiguous. The latter will help to gain philosophical insights of the concept, and will contribute to developing a generalized definition of innovation. The former will enhance individuals dexterity in the process of achieving innovation. The concept of innovation originates in Greece during the fifth century BC with a pejorative meaning (Godin, B., 2012, working paper no.12). In contrast, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, the process of innovation is closely linked to the understanding of innovation whether it is an act of bringing changes or consequence of an action which represents changes. It is easily understandable that any particular action does not ensure the same outcome but may bring changes, and all changes are not considered innovation. So, it is imperative to develop a clear understanding of the concept for proposing a generalized process of innovation. The contextual focus of this study will contribute to bringing innovation in child care services by assisting child care workers to be innovative, which will reduce the gap between the services offered by child care workers and the services expected by other stakeholder groups. Academically, this study will contribute to resolving a century old puzzle associated with the research on innovation. An adequate and generalized understanding of innovation and the process of innovation appears eminent for satisfying the epistemological, ontological and methodological inquiries associated with the research on ... • 3. William Shakespeare s Twelfth Night And Thomas Middleton... The Renaissance: Essay 1 revisited The Renaissance was a time of cultural and social revolution in England, at least in the south of it. The plays and playwrights of the time challenged the societal norms and pushed boundaries into never before thought of areas, this essay will show how Renaissance drama was subversive and created the world we live in today. The two plays I will be focusing on are: William Shakespeare s Twelfth Night and Thomas Middleton s Women beware Women . Both share similar themes yet go about them very differently to one another. Twelfth Night (or What You Will ) was written in 1601, near the middle of Shakespeare s career, and a mere 15 years before his death in 1616. Considered by many critics as one of his greatest comedies, Twelfth Night is about deception, disguises and madness, along with the bizarre things caused by love itself. This play is also one of Shakespeare s plays that include a female protagonist, pretending to be a man. (At the time of the play all parts where played by men, so Viola would have been a man pretending to be a women who was also pretending to be a man!) Viola, the female protagonist, like many of Shakespeare s heroines is likeable from the get go with no real character flaws to note of and no serious faults to note of. (Discounting her decision to dress as a man, as it sets the plot in motion.) And while other character s love is a fickle thing, such as Orsino who can t decide between Olivia and ... • 4. Analysis Of Chekhov s The Brothers Karamazov Chekhov s use of allusion in Misery also stands in stark contrast to the works of other Russian literary giants such as Dostoevsky and Tolstoy, whose works often featured deep themes revolving around the aforementioned Christian thought. While a deep discussion on these themes is out of the scope of this paper, perhaps one of the most obvious and contrasting examples can be found in Dostoevsky s The Brothers Karamazov, which was published around 6 years before Chekhov wrote Misery . Towards the end of the novel, Father Zosima, a figure who acts as a mouthpiece for Dostoevsky s own thoughts on religion, indirectly responds to the arguments of Ivan Karamazov, who rejects God because of the existence of suffering innocents and other ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But Jonah is not humbled and reverent as Job is. Instead, Jonah prayed to the Lord and said, O Lord, is not this what I said when I was yet in my country? That is why I made haste to flee to Tarshish; for I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster (Jonah 4:2). Jonah refuses to simply accept God s message, and instead challenges God to explain why he even had to go through his journey in the first place. When God responds, the Book of Jonah simply ends, and we never hear from Jonah again. The final image of Jonah is of him sitting under a wilting plant, fuming and wishing for an end to his life. Thus Jonah himself is in fact one of the more miserable figures of the Bible. It is only appropriate that Chekhov chose such an unorthodox figure, rather than someone like Job, to connect to the misery of his protagonist. Jonah s questioning of God even when facing his literal presence is also appropriate given Chekhov s own questioning of faith. Jonah, in a Chekhovian fashion, focuses on the realities of what he had to go through, rather than being humbled and indulging in Job s deep, yet clear cut answers and happy ending. The allusion to Jonah in Misery serves only to introduce a hint of Christian metaphysics into the story, providing Chekhov with an opportunity to deconstruct its influence in society and in the works of his ... • 5. The Role Of Nationality In The US A nation state is accurately defined as a country established by or for the dominant cultural group or nationality within its borders ( Nation State ). It is a state made by a national community and for a national community. A multinational state on the other hand, is a well defined, existing state home to two or more recognized nationalities ( Multinational State ). Each recognized nationality would have its own defined territory within a state but would partake in politics as a cultural entity. When considering recognized nationalities including English Americans, Latino Americans, African Americans, and Asian Americans, the U.S. would then be considered as a multinational state because citizens work cooperatively together for the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the U.S., I believe that there are cultural groups which challenge the idea of a common American culture. For instance, the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas is ubiquitously known for its hate speech against LGBT people, Catholics, Orthodox Christians, Muslims, Jews, American soldiers, and American politicians. Combating against many of the characteristics that U.S. citizens identify with, this church sustains their life force by challenging the common American culture of working together for the common good. The church has been denounced by prominent Baptist denominations and other mainstream denominations have also condemned the actions of this church. This really opened my eyes to the actions of young people that I wasn t aware of. Seeing the way these young people were acting, dressing, and speaking made me realize, to an even greater degree, how important youth ministry is. These young people broke my heart that night as I realized how lost they must be. Many of them probably didn t grow up in loving homes. Many of them may not even have homes to go to when they left the mall that night. What is truly heartbreaking is that many of them may have never had anyone share the Gospel with them. Photochemical dechlorination and photooxidation in the presence of hydroxyl radicals, ozone and PAN (peroxy acetyl nitrate) are two possible types of reactions. These reactions, their velocities, their products are still poorly characterized. However, in general, it appears that the photodegradation rates of dioxins increase when the number of chlorine atoms in the molecule decreases, and that reaction with hydroxyl radicals is the dominant photooxidation mechanism in the atmosphere. Other studies have shown that out of a hundred microbial lines possessing the ability to degrade persistent pesticides, only 5 of them possessed a certain capacity to biodegrade 2,3,7,8 tetrachlorodibenzo p dioxin . Some mushrooms have also demonstrated this ability in the laboratory. However, metabolic rates remain low (2.23% after 30 days, 3.96% after 60 days). This capacity of the fungi is attributed to an extracellular enzyme activity associated with the natural degradation of lignin. To determine the persistence of 2,3,7,8 tetrachlorodibenzo p dioxin, silty and sandy soils were artificially enriched with 2,3,7,8 tetrachlorodibenzo p dioxin at different concentrations. The reader will discover how film censorship has changed with society and can be a resemblance of society at a certain point in time. Important cases and lawsuits will be covered as well, enabling the reader to understand why and how certain laws were created and questioned. The first acknowledgment of regulating film arrived in 1896 after Thomas Edison s landmark film, The Kiss. Critics of this film saw it as a threat to morality, thus raising questions on what should or should not be shown to the public. Shortly after concern over The Kiss, the first statute in movie censorship was enacted. The State of Maine implemented the statute in order to prevent the exhibition prizefight of the 1897 heavyweight championship between James Corbett and Bob Fitzsimmons. This opened the door for other organizations and states to regulate on their own terms. Although most scholars regard the 1907 ordinance of the City of Chicago as the first act of censorship in the United States, but as state above, the prevention of prizefighting in Maine is now regarded as the first act of censorship. She states, This careful orchestration and intermingling of subject matter is referred to as integrate or interdisciplinary instruction because language arts are brought into various disciplines such as social studies, science, and math. According to Biddle, Calendar lesson are a whole class instruction time that includes pertinent discussion; student interaction; oral language development; grammar skills; writing; and of course, math concepts, too. Biddle provides multiple examples of how she integrates curriculum using calendars. According to Biddle, This calendar time is also a springboard for introducing, reinforcing, and assessing a wide variety of math skills that correspond with our curriculum. Biddle states, As the students investigate these concepts of time, the perfect opportunity arises to start talking in past, present, and future tense Biddle also uses a math word wall and a calendar corner to help integrate curriculum. Biddle declares, On the math word wall we put valuable math vocabulary, in alphabetical order, as the words are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 29. The Evolution Of The Accounting Profession Discussion Board 1: Case 1 5: The Evolution of the Accounting Profession Throughout history the accounting profession has seen continuous growth. It has even been discovered that an elaborate accounting system was utilized as early as 8000 to 3000 B.C. (Schroeder, Clark, Cathey, 2014). Humans have deemed it necessary for centuries to account for money and inventory items. In the nineteenth century, the accounting profession took another major step forward when the joint ventures evolved into corporations in England resulting in stockholders needing financial records reflecting the companies performance (Schroeder et. al, 2014). This emergence of corporations brought about the need for reporting on a periodic basis in order to allow owners and prospective stockholders to evaluate the company to determine if their investments, or potential investments, yielded a return (Schroeder et. al, 2014). The evolution of these corporations brought about the need for accounting standards and laws that would that protect the investment of shareholders, require that dividends be paid from net gains, and require that audits be conducted by people other than the directors of the organization(s) (Schroeder et. al, 2014). These changes in the nineteenth century led the charge in the development for accounting standards and laws that we still follow today, and they are constantly evolving and improving in order to protect investors from scandal and fraud. The last line of the poem, He spoke. And drank rapidly a glass of water signifies to the reader that the first thirteen lines of the poem which is in quotation marks is a speech given to an audience. The poem is filled with patriotic songs in the first and second quatrain that echo common political rhetoric. He spoke is a complete sentence and the only place in the poem with punctuation. The completeness of the sentence creates a space between it and the continuation of the line, And drank rapidly a glass of water. The gap here makes the reader think about what He says. I found that the results of this investigation did and did not cooperate with my initial hypothesis for reasons that I will explain more in the following paragraphs. The current research both confirms and departs from existing research done on this topic, as there is a mixture of lesbian representations including media and stereotypes having both positive and negative influences on lesbian identity. Another women had explained that she felt if a young girl was struggling with sexuality, media could possible provide the outlet for her to not only learn about lesbian relationships but to help identify herself as one as well. It is through Gomillion s article that we can relate to the medias positive influence on lesbian identity where she explains, media had influenced self realization, coming out, and current identities by providing role models and inspiration and also media role models serve as sources of pride, inspiration, and comfort (330). We can see that media has the potential to aid and contribute positivity to lesbians self identity, if only we can move from the stereotypical and unrealistic representations so dominantly used. The participants also expressed a sense of media s growing potential to have a positive influence on lesbian identity. The history of lesbian invisibility and the vast number of lesbians and lesbian relationships currently on mainstream media has the potential to greatly impact how lesbians are viewed and thus how they may look at themselves. The GI Bill gave the United States veterans education. It also provided VA hospitals with veteran benefits. The law also made a possible loan of billions of dollars to purchase homes for millions of veterans. The G.I Bill gave opportunity to pursue formal education which a lot of veterans did since education was pretty much paid for. In the short run, many colleges and universities were seriously jeopardized. In the late 1940 s veterans bought homes in many of the new suburbs for $8,000 with no down payment required. World War II had a great toll on the nation s economy. It hurt many Americans, and a lot of them had to leave their education to serve as soldiers and sailors. The war used many of the already shorted resources, and with a lot of the men who ran farms, bakeries, and meat providers being taken into war, this led to a shortage of cash flow and resources. During WWII Roosevelt talked over the matter with President George F. Zook and other leaders of the American Council of Education. He believed the federal government had a responsibility and an important role in helping returning veterans get an education. Several Bills branched off the GI Bill including a Vocational Rehabilitation Bill. This bill provided federal funds to retrain and rehabilitate veterans who had been disabled in the civilian defense industry. • 38. Analysis Of The Book Georgia Odyssey By James C. Cobb Written by James C. Cobb, a distinguished history professor at the University of Georgia named B. Phinizy Spalding, Georgia Odyssey is a revolutionary book covering the state of Georgia from its humble beginnings as a colony in 1732 to the beginning of a new millennium in 2000. The book discusses James Oglethorpe s original intentions for the colony, then through the ugly side beginning in 1751, when slaves were permitted into the colony. Slavery directly impacted the ever developing definition of American freedom, which is what Cobb conveys throughout the entire book. Personally, I had not given much thought to the reason of Georgia s success as a state was because of the phenomenon of slavery. The acclaimed book begins with Georgia beginning as a dry and modest colony. As the years pass, these ideals and morals are changed to desiring more than a hardworking farmer. The people of Georgia desired to have slaves. Therefore, Georgia changed and started a path to become identical to South Carolina. However, as the amount of plantations sky rocketed, so did the need for more slaves. It is a marvel to imagine that I live in the city of Savannah that was a beacon for the selling and exchanging of human beings. The ugly history of success does not end when slavery is outlawed in 1865. Racism was still very much alive in the South. Jim Crow laws were instated in an effort to halt the freedoms of Black Americans, until they were done away with. Skipping ahead to the 1960s, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Learning Styles In Nursing Education Essay Q1. Different learning styles Nursing is a discipline that demands the practitioner be able to understand higher level abstract medical and scientific concepts, yet also deploy them in a hands on manner. It requires the practitioner to learn from observing more experienced colleagues. Thus, using different approaches to teaching is not simply sound on the basis of the strengths of the individual students, but also a necessary part of teaching the art and science of nursing. The use of technology in the nursing classroom has vastly expanded the teaching resources for faculty members. Visual learners can access video links to view various procedures being performed, rather than simply reading about them in a textbook. Auditory listeners can supplement their learning by listening to podcasts or even simply tape lectures to listen to again, to reinforce the knowledge they have learned. Kinesthetic learners can access technology that allows them to simulate procedures. It is this form of simulation technology, however, that is likely to be the most useful in nursing education, given that its multisensory nature can be adapted to suit the needs of the widest variety of learners. One of the most commonly used methods of deploying technology in the nursing classroom is that of simulation technology. High fidelity human patient simulation (HFPS) is increasingly regarded as an essential element of nursing education programs (Diener Hobbes 2004: 34). This increases the level of ... Universal Ethical Egoism Ethical Egoism is one of the most controversial theories in all of Moral Philosophy having received both bitter criticism and high praise from philosophers of all stripes. While it was a prevalent topic in the mid to late 19th century, Ethical Egoism is rarely discussed today. This lack of contemporary relevance stems from a series of formidable criticisms which gave opponents of Ethical Egoism an apparent victory over its proponents. For the most part, however, these opponents have failed to account for egoism s complexities; whereas there are multiple versions of Ethical Egoism, opponents usually argue against a very narrow, general conception.
