Initially named ‘Еuropean Cross-Border Cycling event’, the international biking tour's title was changed to "NowWeBike". It extended along EuroVelo routes and culminated in a grand finale in the ‘European capital’ of Brussels. The event helped bring the continent together by inviting citizens to be a part of a pan-European activity involving participation in sports and physical activity.The cycling tour and its side events had a strong focus on raising awareness, was aimed to positively influence the active lifestyle decisions of Europeans, and to develop the high potential of cross-sector communication of the NowWeMOVE campaign.

ABOUT NowWeBike
3. The NowWeBike is a joint effort between ISCA and MW National
Coordinator for Turkey.
Also known as the ‘All routes lead to Brussels’ event, it extends
along EuroVelo routes and culminates in a final celebration in the
‘European capital’ of Brussels. It encourages participation in sport
and exercise by attracting citizens to be a part of a pan-European
activity that will help bring the continent together. The planned ride
and side events with their strong focus on awareness raising is
designed to positively influence individuals’ decisions about active
lifestyles.
WHAT WAS NOWWEBIKE?
4. • Raising awareness of the importance of health-enhancing
physical activity - HEPA
• Promotion and PR - The project is a perfect backdrop for a
comprehensive PR campaign to position the NWM in local,
national and European media
• Cross-sector engagement - Cycling has high potential to
communicate the important cross-sector aspect of the NWM
• Combining local, national and European - The set-up of the
project, allowing both local side events throughout the routes,
national kick-off and press events, and the grand European finale
in Brussels
• Promoting voluntary activities in sport - The current project will
involve volunteers in organising the events. In addition, the
member of the cycling team are volunteers.
