caught in the turbine causing it to spin. This spins a shaft along with another pinwheel called the
compressor, which is placed in the intake air s path. This compresses the air on its way into the
engine. Normal aspirated engines work to draw in their intake air. As the intake valve opens, the
piston s downward movement creates a vacuum which sucks in some air through the intake system.
After the work performed by the expansion of the gas in a small space, where the high pressure
creates a push against the piston, most of the heat or energy is dumped into the exhaust. This heated
air is not in the cylinder long enough to convert all the heat into mechanical energy.
We need to get some use out of this other wise wasted energy. What we really want is more
power, and for this unfortunately the engine needs to burn more fuel. The turbine fed by the
exhaust gases connects to a compressor that compresses intake air into the engine, which builds up
pressure in the intake manifold. Now when the intake valve opens, the compressed air is forced
into the combustion chamber. This allows more air to fill the chamber. We will need more fuel to

After watching You the Living, my favorite scene was when there were dogs because it added a

fake and dead at first, but then it came alive. I think the dogs were the main attention grabber in
both scenes. The dragging dog was very surreal, cruel and yet funny. When I saw the comment from

Piaget s Stages Of Cognitive Development
The Cognitive Development theory refers to the ability to learn through thinking and reasoning.
Theorist Jean Piaget developed the stages of cognitive development according to age and how
individuals learn through their environment and senses. Based on Education.com: Stages of
Cognitive Development (Driscoll/Nagel ,2008), these stages are from infant to teenage years
with specific abilities. The first stage of Piaget s stages of development is called Sensorimotor,
which starts at birth to two years of age. It describes how babies learn through their senses. The
next stages is known as Pre operational which are ages two through seven. During this stage, a
child uses his or her own logic to express thinking. From the seven to eleven years of age, a child
is in the Concrete Operational stage. He or she will use hands on experience to increase
knowledge. The final stage is Formal Operational. Between the ages of eleven and fifteen, an
adolescent develops a more abstract form of knowledge. One of the main differences between
these stages is object permanence. Piaget designed these stages in a rigid format. This theory does
not allow individual experience and background to be considered. In conclusion, a weakness of this

Detroit Art History
Detroit Institute of Art is located at 5200 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI. The website is https:/
/www.dia.org/. At this museum, there is a lot of Detroit and American history and also a lot of
paintings from the 18 and 1900s. The website has over 6,000 pieces that are located on the site.
Some of these can t be viewed but they still give you the history on the piece. One of the pieces
that stood out to me was the Egyptian mummuy. That piece is a very ancient piece, but the
detailing of the art interest me the most. I can just imagine the time and effort that was put into it.
