search result, greedy algorithms support runtime profiling. While the former tries to maximize the
discriminating power (DP), the latter attempts to minimize the in formation loss (IL). By exploiting
a number of heuristics, GreedyIL outperforms GreedyDP significantly.

After the loss of her mother at the age of one, she was brought up by her aunt, Hannah Lamb, who
lived in Knutsford, a country town in the suburb of Manchester.
Elizabeth shared her father s religious beliefs and attended the local Unitarian chapel and taught
Sunday School. At the age of eighteen, Elizabeth s brother, John Stevenson was lost at sea. The
news devastated her father and he went into a deep depression that he would never awake from.
Elizabeth returned to her father s household in London where she nursed him until his death in 1829.
A distant relative, William Turner, a Unitarian minister in Newcastle, invited Elizabeth to live
with his family. Elizabeth s was deeply influenced by Turner s religious beliefs and charitable
works. On a visit to Turner s daughter, who lived in Manchester, Elizabeth met William Gaskell, a
minister at their local Unitarian chapel. They quickly developed a close friendship and were
married on August 30th, 1832.
Most of William Gaskell s parishioners were textile workers and Elizabeth was deeply shocked by
the poverty she witnessed in Manchester. Elizabeth, like her husband, became involved in various

In the past decade, language memoirs, linguistic autobiographies, and learners journals and
diaries have become a popular means of data collection in applied linguistics. It is not always clear
however how one should go about analyzing this data. The aim of this paper is to offer a critical
review of analytical frameworks applied to how one languageautobiography can say a lot about one
person s past experiences and shapes them into who they are today. I will discuss the dialect, both
geographical environment and social factors, and associates within through developing, using and
changing an idiolect which constitutes part of a persona and self identity of these frameworks in
relation to the type of information they seek: subject reality, life reality, and text reality. I argue that
some analytical results, in particular content from academic journals, are insensitive to the
interpretive nature of autobiographic data. Subsequently, I will talk about my idiolect that is a
collection of features of vocabulary development through parent child directed speech,
neighborhood and the Hawaiian Island Voices, textism behavior with school children and academic

My choice of the movie 12 Years a Slave is an outstanding depiction of the lives of slaves in the
1840 s. This film follows the gruesome life of Solomon Northup. A black man born free in
Saratoga, New York. Who was fooled, poisoned, and abducted by men who sold him into
slavery. The movie is based on the book called Twelve Years a Slave: Narrative of Solomon
Northup, a Citizen of New York, Kidnapped in Washington City in 1841, and Rescued in 1853,
From a Cotton Plantation Near the Red River, in Louisiana.
The accuracy of the film was spot on. It depicted all the horrors and history of slavery very well. In
fact Dr. Emily West, an associate professor of history at the University of Reading supports my
statement when she states I have never seen a film represent slavery so accurately. It portrayed
the difference of the masters by showing how one was kind to Northup and how the other was a

punishments received by the said Incompetent slaves, the terrible lifestyles of the salves, and the
embarrassing ways my ancestors acted. The way I look at slavery will forever be changed for film
