nicht. Die Hauptschulstufe („osnawnaja schkola“) bezeichnet den Sekundarbereich I, der allge-
mein bildende Schulen und Pflichtschulen umfasst. Zu ihnen zählt auch das Gymnasium. An
Gymnasien werden bestimmte Fächer besonders intensiv unterrichtet.
Die Zeit der Sekundarstufe I endet mit dem 9. Schuljahr. Die Schüler sind dann 15 Jahre alt und
haben ihre Schulpflicht erfüllt. Es ist üblich, dass viele Schüler auch ein Gymnasium nach der
9. Klasse verlassen, um einen Beruf zu erlernen. Der Sekundarbereich I wird mit einer Abschluss-
prüfung beendet. Je nach Abschluss bzw. Schultyp folgt der Sekundarbereich II, dessen Ab-
schluss an Gymnasien durch das „Zeugnis über die vollständige mittlere Bildung“ (Abitur) zu
einem Hochschulbesuch berechtigt.
