Report - International Development of Unconventional Resources: If, where and...Marcellus Drilling News
A report released by researchers at Accenture covering when/how fast they believe the world will begin developing unconventional (shale) resources. Will they ever catch up to the United States?
A biased "report" issued from a group of anti-drillers flying under the banner of the Multi-State Shale Research Collaboration. The report supposedly proves the Marcellus and Utica Shale haven't created all that many jobs after all. In other words, this is a big, bold lie to try to convince people the enormous benefits from shale drilling in the northeast--which has single-handedly saved the northeast from the worst of the Obama depression--didn't really happen! Pay no attention to all those new jobs--shale didn't really create them! Right.
The official testimony of Darren Smith, an environmental manager with Devon Energy Corporation, before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, held on June 19, 2012. Smith tells the Senators that the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has grossly overstated the issue of methane emissions from natural gas wells that escape into the atmosphere and consequently has crafted new pollution standards that are overly strict and counterproductive.
The final disposition of the Act 13 law that was challenged by seven selfish PA towns, an anti-drilling doctor and a wacko environmental group. The PA Supreme Court couldn't be bothered deciding these points and sent it back to a lower court for a final decision. The Commonwealth Court found that the Public Utility Commission could not evaluate a town's zoning ordinances to be sure they don't violate state standards. It also found the language in Act 13 limiting a doctor from making public the specific formulas used by drillers in their fracking fluids. There were a few other notable decisions as well.
