1. It defines aging and discusses concepts like life expectancy, maximum lifespan, cellular and organismal aging. It mentions things like rapamycin, progeria, and telomeres.
2. It discusses aging and cancer, and mentions elderly drivers.
3. It briefly describes stories from Greek mythology about Eos and Tithonus that are relevant to aging.

A reptile introduces itself and provides details about its traits and habitat preferences. It has scaly skin, lungs instead of gills, lays amniotic eggs, and can survive on land. It inhabits a wide range of terrestrial, marine, and freshwater habitats. In its free time it enjoys basking in the sun, hunting prey, and eating vegetation. It seeks a caring, chordate mate with scales who is interested in starting a family.
Aging is a natural process defined by time-dependent physiological changes that reduce functional capacity over time. Maximum lifespan for humans is around 120 years, though average life expectancy continues to increase globally due to improvements in public health, medicine, and lifestyle. At the cellular level, aging is influenced by the shortening of telomeres with each cell division as well as a decline in the activity of telomerase. While aging offers no clear evolutionary advantage, humans strive to find meaning even in old age through relationships, creativity, and spiritual fulfillment. Physicians have a duty to report patients with medical conditions like Alzheimer's that could impair driving ability and increase safety risks.

3) Secondary cancers are more dangerous as they can spread to other parts of the body. While sun exposure can't be completely avoided, using sunscreen and limiting midday sun can reduce cancer risk.
What is a birth defect? pretty sure there is nothing better than brief straight forward information w/o loopy woopy.
Birth defects in general simple terms will be discused, then diving a little deeper.. specially the congenital disorders of the skeletal system.
I made this presentation as a 'seminar assignment', but then I thought why not sharing the info that I have.
*DISCLAIMER: A LOT of the information are from multi sources; My professors, my lectures, internet medical websites, medical textbooks, ..etc. If you find any mistake or a misleading info please do mention it so that everyone takes care and makes sure to get it right!.

This presentation summarizes Dr. E. B. Nash's comparative study on the "Trios of Convulsions" - Causticum, Cicuta virosa, and Cuprum metallicum. It provides details on the origins, properties, and pathogenic effects of each remedy. The key similarities and differences between the remedies are highlighted. Specifically, it describes the characteristic convulsions associated with each remedy, including potential causes, nature, and modalities. Relevant mental and physical generals are also summarized for each remedy. The presentation aims to make Nash's study on these convulsive remedies interesting and useful for homeopaths.

Mercurius is named after the roman god mercurius, the god of trade and science. The planet mercurius is named after the same god. Mercurius is sometimes called hydrargyrum, means ‘watery silver’. Its shine and colour are very similar to silver, but mercury is a fluid at room temperatures. The name quick silver is a translation of hydrargyrum, where the word quick describes its tendency to scatter away in all directions.
The droplets have a tendency to conglomerate to one big mass, but on being shaken they fall apart into countless little droplets again. It is used to ignite explosives, like mercury fulminate, the explosive character is one of its general themes.
This document provides information on Tuberculinum, including its preparation from a pure cultivation of tubercle bacilli, its representation of the tubercular miasm, and its key symptoms. Tuberculinum patients experience a feeling of being shut in and a need for rapid change. They are restless, dissatisfied, prone to destructive behavior, and prefer mountain climates. The remedy is also indicated for conditions like ADHD, autism, and a family history of tuberculosis.
Spiders form the largest and most widely distributed order
of class of animals called Arachnida.
There are thousands of different species of spiders. The
common classification is as follows:
1. ARANOMORPHAE or DIPNEUMONES, with one pair of
lungs.
2. MYGALOMORPHAE or TETRAPNEUMONES, with two
pairs of lungs.
Phosphorus is especially suited to tall, slender, narrow – chested persons They have mostly fair skin, blonde or red hair, and delicate eyelashes. Nervousness and sensitiveness in nature is marked among them. It is also adapted to young people, who grow too rapidly and tend to stoop. Apart from above it also suits persons who have a tendency to bleed.
Excessive release or flow of blood during the menstrual cycle or periods is referred to as menorrhagia. It is an abnormally long-lasting and heavy menstrual period at regular intervals. It usually occurs in premenopausal women, affecting their overall health, decreasing the quality of life, weakness, and many interruptions in their lifestyle.
This document provides an overview of insect classification and discusses several insect remedies used in homeopathy. It begins by classifying insects into 7 main orders - Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Orthoptera, Hemiptera, Diptera, and Siphonoptera. For each remedy discussed, it outlines key pathological indications including modalities, physical symptoms, and applications. The remedies Apis Mellifica (honey bee) and Aphis Chenopodii Glauci (plant lice) receive more in-depth descriptions of their mental, emotional and pathological symptoms.

TRITURATION OF THE MIDDLE LAYER OF OYSTER SHELLS
Hahnemann first proved Calc. acet.
His proving of Calc. carb. appears in Vol. II of his Chronic Diseases.
He says :
" Take a clean oyster shell, somewhat thick ;
of soft snow-white calcarean substance which is found
between the internal and external hard shell,
take one grain, which is then to be triturated and
dynamized in the usual manner.”
4. CALCIUM OCCURRENCE :

16. PORTRAITS OF HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICINES
-CATHERINE R. COULTER
CALCAREA carbonica is the potentized carbonate of lime, taken
from the middle layer of the oyster shell.
FIRST, there is the animal itself-cold, pale, moist, limp, inactive.
(OYSTER)
SECOND, there is the shell thick, impenetrable, fixed to a rock,
protecting the completely defenseless creature within. (SHELL)
THIRD, within this otherwise undistinguished creature there
grows a pearl of polished and delicate beauty, born through
steady concretion around an irritating grain of sand. (PEARL)
Keeping in mind these three images: THE OYSTER ITSELF, THE
SHELL, AND THE PEARL, they relate to the Calcarea individual.

BAILEY
The stranger may be treated with some caution but once he has demonstrated his
good intentions, he is allowed into the oyster’s shell to enjoy the homeliness and
comfort of his interior.
Present more in countryside where it is still possible to live simpler life.
Calcareas are good at remembering the little things which shows that they care. Such
as, birthday present, a bunch of flower, a cup of tea etc.
Family is very important to calcarea, invite her ageing mother or move in with her
family as she is too frail to look after herself. When away from home they tend to feel
homesick, they are the ones who enjoy family holidays fully.
When upset they react irrationally but they tend to come back to their senses pretty
quickly. Eg, She may cry when her husband forgets their anniversary and in sadness
she may burn dinner but she’ll quickly come back to her senses and apologise.
Calcarea tends to fear the challenges that would result from being successful esp.
academically and professionally.
(Because she feels she won’t be able to cope with the increase in demand upon her as
regards time and skill)
