Disadvantages Of Timestamps Algorithm
Advantages of this algorithm: It is nearly impossible to extricate the original information. Even if in
case the algorithm is known, it is very difficult to obtain the key. The Timestamps will prevent any
replay attack. Non repudiation is also provided by the timestamps. It is very versatile for users.
Different users can use separate modified versions of the algorithm. It nearly impossible to generate
the key matrix even if plain text and cipher text are recognized. The same character is replaced by
different alpha numerical values which gives more security to the message.
Example of the algorithm:
Step 1:
Take the sequence for n= 0 to 26.

There is a match at R[4],R[9] R[18]. Neglect already visited elements. Hence b(0)=[0,4,9,18). Repeat
step 1 with the remaining elements of the bin of step 2 and store them in the same bin. This will form
one bin.
Here, Step 1 is repeated with other elements of bin ie. 4, 9 and 18 values. For elements 4 19, there is
no match of values in R[27]. For element 18, there is a match at R[6], R[7], R[12], R[15]. Thus the bin
b(0) is updated to (0, 4, 9, 18, 3, 6, 7, 12, 15).
We continue to do so till all the elements of the bin are visited.
So, elements 3, 12 and 15 have no match. But element 6 has a match at R[1], R[2], R[10] and R[19].
Element 7 has a match at R[5].
Hence, the updated bin after all computations. b(0) is (0,4,9,3,6,7,1,2,10,11,19,5,12,15,18,21) Now the
procedure is repeated for the next element of the sequence 1 which has not been visited earlier. The
other bins formed are: b(1) = (8, 14, 20, 23,24,25) b(2) = (13) b(3) = (26,16,17, 22)
Advantages of this algorithm: It is nearly impossible to extricate the original information. Even if in
case the algorithm is known, it is very difficult to obtain the key. The Timestamps will prevent any

John F. Kennedy
The first Roman Catholic president, John F. Kennedy, fought through many hardships. Becoming the
president at the age of 43, he went through many difficult trials to get that role due to his religion and
health. Although he died early, he still managed to go beyond his presidential duties and accomplished
a lot during his short term. John F. Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts.
Ever since he was little, he has had very poor health. He suffered from a variety of diseases and
conditions such as mumps, German measles, chicken pox, infections, and repeated bronchitis. When
he was three, he almost died from scarlet fever. At the age of fourteen, he only weighed one hundred

On January 20, 1961, Kennedy pledged as the 35th president of the United States(source 1). To
prepare for his address, Kennedy carefully studied famous American speeches, such as the Gettysburg
Address, and copied their style. It s content was almost specifically about matters of the world outside
of the United States. He spoke about the issues that were on many American s minds: peace, national
security, and creating a just and free world. One of the things he said in it was,
Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear in burden,
meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and success of liberty.
(source 3)
He also said, My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you ask what you can do for
your country. My fellow citizens of the world, ask not what America will do for you, but what together
we can do for the freedom of man. (source 2) Kennedy s presidency lasted less than three years.
During this time, he established the Peace Corps, an organization that enabled young Americans to
volunteer in developing countries around the world. He also helped prevent a nuclear catastrophe in
the Cuban Missile Crisis. Kennedy surrounded himself with liberal intellectuals and moderate
conservatives adopting strong executive leadership drawing on

Chinese involvement in Intellectual Property Theft
The depth of China s involvement in intellectual property theft is far greater than I would have ever
expected. Prior to taking the business law course, I never thought about what intellectual property
theft was or the impacts that it has. The report of the Commission on the Theft of American
Intellectual Property, states that China is the world s largest source of Intellectual Property theft (pg 10

jobs.
Studies have estimated around seventy percent of the intellectual property theft is related to China.

Reflective Essay To Georgia State University
When presented with the word community I think comradery, a group of people whom give one a
sense of belonging. According to Webster s dictionary a community is defined as a body of people
having common rights, privileges, or interests, or living in the same place under the same laws and
regulations. According to that definition I felt like it was easy for me to identify with various
communities all at once. My ethnic background, involvement, and gender have all played huge role in
this self identification. I feel as if I am part of a series of communities not only on my college campus
but in life in general. I embrace my Latin roots, my minority community, and my third world roots. I

The Ghost Of The Late King Hamlet
Although some may think the ghost of the late King Hamlet in William Shakespeare s tragedy Hamlet
is a demon, but the truth is that Hamlet s father didn t reveal himself to anyone besides Hamlet
because he knew his son would avenge his death allowing him to receive divine in Heaven.
Throughout the Elizabethan Era no one in that time period knew how much of an influence they
would have on all of the world. In Caffery s words, [The] Elizabethan Era was a period of time from
1558 to 1603 known as the golden age in English history. Queen Elizabeth I reigned over England
while all around the arts flourished in the society (Caffrey). William Shakespeare was one of the most
iconic writers in this era, for his use of all the genres like history, tragedy, and comedy in his plays and
sonnets. During this time people became more comfortable with this unknown that most plays and
sonnets included like purgatory, but they were still not comfortable with talking about ghosts walking
on the earth.
Even though each religious leader in the Elizabethan Era set how their people should have thought
about Purgatory, they all had the same definition of what it was. Purgatory is defined as, the prison in
which ghosts were normally incarcerated, though they might be allowed to escape now and then to
briefly haunt those of the living whose zeal in their behalf was insufficient (Low). A soul that is
repenting their sins in Purgatory is called a Poor Soul unlike the Damned who are the souls in

Archetype In Mean Girls
This is girls world, all of the fightings had to be sneaky. Said by Lindsay Lohan in the movie, Mean
Girls. The entertainment and fairytales stories have a tendency to have women going against each
other. Cinderella has mainly had her stepmother and step sisters keeping her busy with chores for
twenty four hours. While Rapunzel is stuck in a high tower alone because of a witch. Not only classic
fairy tales have this pattern, but songs have this same formula. Notably, Taylor Swift is known for her
bitter reputation of calling out her ex boyfriends, but also writes songs calling out women. Lastly,
movies will show women fighting against each other for the comedy effect especially Mean Girls. In
stories, women characters tend to destroy other female archetypes for power. The classic story of
Cinderella has women degrading each other. She lives with her stepmother and stepsisters. After her
father died, she became her slave to them. The archetype of the mother is that she is a witch. Her
archetype is a witch because they tend to manipulate the princess badly. She abused Cinderella and
later on tells her that she can not go to the ball. As for Cinderella, her archetype would be the princess.
She is the princess because of acts like the damsel in distress. Cinderella is docile when her family
bossing around. Her stepmother is controlling her freedom. Another example that is similar to
Cinderella is Rapunzel. The story of Rapunzel is also a classic fairytale where a witch

Abraham Lincoln And The Abolition Of Slavery
Even though the abolishment of slavery is a glorious accomplishment during his administration, it was
not the only defining factor of Abraham Lincoln when he was president. Lincoln saw past the
inequality of black and white and regarded equality and freedom above all as a basis for a united
nation because he wrote the Gettysburg Address at a crucial time during the civil war to earn favor
among freed slaves and to those opposed to slavery in the North and he decreed the Emancipation
Proclamation as a stepping stone to achieve his ultimate goal.
Lincoln had deep feelings on the subject of liberty. He knew it was a vital but delicate concept, which
needed to be cared for. Nearly a ten years earlier, in the midst of agitation over the Kansas Nebraska
Act, Lincoln had said in Peoria, Illinois: Little by little, but steadily as man s march to the grave, we
have been giving up the old for the new faith. Nearly eighty years ago we began by declaring that all
men are created equal; but now from that beginning we have run down to the other declaration, that
for some men to enslave others is a sacred right of self government. These principles cannot stand
together. They are as opposite as God and Mammon; and whoever holds to the one must despise the
other. (1) Perhaps as a young man, Lincoln had done his share of useless labor to fulfill his quota.
Lincoln did what was necessary and, in return, he expected others to do the same. His work ethic was

The Pillars Of School Leadership
Leadership
This paper is a review on the pillars of school leadership as discussed in School Supervision class.
One occurring question is what does it mean to be a leader in one of our urban school system today is
a questions asked repeatedly in our class reading? The qualities of a leader are courage, flexibility and
confidence.
Leadership today is the process by which leaders individually or collectively influence their
colleagues. The Center for Comprehensive School Reform and Improvement (2005), A leader is being
so awesome that everyone want to follow you . (quote from Leadership handout). Additionally, leaders
must motivate people and have other skills such as agreement building, networking, and exercising no

School leaders understand that when high performance is expected its likelihood increases and
developing a leader takes time. Some leaders are too often preoccupied (p.15) with the capacity to
bring about intended consequences in the behavior of others.
In addition to maintaining these skills, Siccone (2011), found that people are motivated by one of three
strong drives to do the best work of which they are capable. For leaders to effect change, they must
have a picture of what change will look like. Total participation techniques provide teachers with
evidence of active participation and cognitive engagement from all students at the same time. These
techniques function as formative assessments that help teachers accurately monitor progress, provide

Art In The Renaissance
During the period of the Renaissance, many prolific artists were commissioned by prominent families
and or groups to create works of art to show personal affluence and dedication to a faith or deity.
These actions, seemingly harmless, gave rise to much competition between cities, and some more so
than others. Such competition was common, especially considering the fact that Italy was not yet a
unified country and was divided up into various city states. As the city states were ruled by affluent
families, or prominent groups of people such as guilds or church leaders, rivalries often were due to
disputes between said groups. Such was the case in Florence and Siena, as their many wars against
one another sealed their opposition. To demonstrate this competition between major cities, one must
look at works of art in each respective city and how each relates to one another. To do this, one can
look at two prominent MaestĂĄ paintings commissioned in both Florence and Siena by the same artist.
To begin, artists were influenced by the city in which they were commissioned. In this, artists work
often reflects styles or themes of the cities in which they are working at certain points in time. Take
Duccio for example. His first commission for a MaestĂĄ was in Florence for a Dominican oriented
group that sought to do good deeds in the name of the Virgin Mary. Therefore it comes as no surprise
that the altarpiece for the Santa Maria Novella church would depict the Virgin Mary and the Christ
Child as the main subject matter. As Duccio was a Sienese painter and was influenced by other
Sienese painters, many aspects of Sienese artistry is evident in his paintings, but he clearly adheres to
the vertical style altarpieces with which many Florentines were commissioning around that time that
were depicting the same subject matter. In the painting, the Virgin Mary and the Christ Child sit in the
middle while various angelic beings, possessing the likenesses of different saints, hover around the
throne. The throne that the Virgin Mary sits on is not large and does not take up a lot of space, thus
allowing the few figures on the sides of the throne to float freely. In the painting, Duccio portrayed his
figures in a more natural

Character Analysis Of August Osage County
August: Osage County is a well acted play that is generally about a family that falls apart. That is
something that almost everybody has in common. This play could very well be realistic according to
the situations that were being displayed, dialogue being used and the setting of the play. The play
speaks about real people in everyday situations, dealing with common problems that almost
everybody s family has once had to deal with such as suicide, divorce, children growing up faster than
expected and much more. These types of situations go on in our everyday lives. Also, within this play
it presents an everyday conversation in a succinct, direct way. The dialogue hits with full force within
the context of the play and the drama plays out between the characters. Additionally, the most realistic
factor in the play was the set design. The setting is in a large county home outside of Pawhuska,
Oklahoma which reflects the society and culture in which people live. The set design fitting in with
the play being almost a three story home with a kitchen, dining room, Violet s room door and an attic.
This everyday setting helped contribute to the power of the play, making it easier for the audience to
be able to understand and relate to. Watching the August: Osage County play wasn t as interesting as
the script itself, but it was many aspects in the play that kept my attention. Pertaining to acting, Violet

American Industrialization Essay
Between 1865 and 1920, industrialization caused significant changes in many people s lives. First, the
development of a new railroad system help settle the west and made it more accessible to people.
Second, public transit systems in big cities provided an outlet from congested cities. Last, the
discovery of a method for transmitting electricity helped to light up our daily lives. I feel that these are
three of the most important changes in people s lives caused by industrialization.

Through the development of a transcontinental railroad system, the west was settled and many
American dreams were in reach.
Second, the development of new public transit systems, was important in shaping the design of our
cities and the growth of our cities by enabling people to move further away from the inner city. Early
on, large cities had very little and inadequate transportation. Their main source of transportation were
horse drawn wagons and walking. As a result, most people lived or took housing near downtown,
which was where most of the working establishments were located. This made the big cities very
congested. However with the breakthrough of the el , electric streetcars, and subways, around 1867,
cities began to open up more. Those who were fortunate enough to move out of the slums and into
better surrounding neighborhoods, did so. The more affluent of the white collar classes moved into the
suburban areas. In contrast, many of the very wealthy continued to live in city mansions. The new
transit systems in most cities allowed people to escape the chaos of urban life and provided potential
for growth of our cities.
Last, Thomas Edison s discovery of electricity and a method of transmitting it, was significant in
many ways. Due to this discovery, businesses could operate around the clock. We were no longer

Comparison Of I Am Legend And The Omega Man
One of the purposes of science fiction is to confront modern society s issues through an allegorical
perspective. The films I am Legend and The Omega Man are both based off the Richard Matheson
novel, I am Legend. Both films follow Robert Neville as the last man on earth and his struggle against
fighting the creatures that come out at night. In each of these films the creatures are representative of a
fear that American society held at the time that the films were made. The Omega Man, released in
1971, features a strong critical allegory about hippie culture in response to the Manson Family
murders. I am Legend, released in 2007, features an abandoned and decaying New York City in the
post 9/11 era. Each of these eras had a significant influence on how the creatures that Robert combats
are depicted. In each of these films, the creatures are representative of the Other, and their portrayal in
each film is indicative to how the producers wished narrative American society to relate to the Other.

Matheson s novel are explicitly described as vampires, the monsters in Omega Man are more similar
to zombies who cannot stand bright lights. The Family, as they call themselves, also have a high level
of intelligence comparable to Neville s own. The film opens with a coordinated attack on Neville as he

Comparing Stories Came To Earth And Master Cat
A folktale and fairy tale could never acquire more similarities. How Stories Came to Earth and Master
Cat are two compelling stories about a trickster trying to maintain a specific goal. A trickster tale is a
story containing a main character who is an anthropomorphized animal that uses their wits to get what
they want. Anthropomorphism is a god, animal, or object that has human characteristics. Each story
has key points that have similarities to each other, such as the main characters or their determination to
achieve a goal. However, some key points differentiate from those of the other, for example the
techniques used to achieve the goal or the story s perspective on women. How Stories Came to Earth
and Master Cat have many similarities ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One difference would include the characters using different techniques to achieve their destined goal.
Anansi wants to receive the stories from Nyame. In order to receive the stories, Anansi tricked the
creatures into a trap where he was then able to capture them. Master Cat killed the Ogre in order to get
into a castle and trick the king into believing that his master. By doing this, the king was convinced
that the cat s master was well raised and is committed enough to marry his daughter. Another
difference is the cultural importance in each one. Anansi and the story about him is an appropriate
example of teaching values and history. It teaches history by Anansi telling the stories he receives at
the end to the rest of the world in his webs. The text describes this by saying When Anansi brought
home the wooden box of stories to his home, he and his wife eagerly learned each one of
them...Everywhere you look, they spin their webs for all to see (Kaleki). Master Cat and the story
about him explains the cultural importance of social status. The two stories have contrasting examples
of important beings. The important being in How Stories Came to Earth is a god. Examples of
important beings in Master Cat are an ogre and a king. Finally, the two stories have two very distinct
perspectives on women. Anansi and Aso are inferred as equal, meaning men and women are
equivalent.

Around the premonition of the rising of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party, two German World War I
veterans named Hans Janowitz and Carl Mayer wrote the script for the German silent film, The
Cabinet of Dr. Caligari . Based on experience from their time in the German military, they wrote the
script based on the mistrust of authority while with the military in World War I. The plot tells the story
of a crazy hypnotist, Dr. Caligari, who hypnotizes and uses a somnambulist, Cesare, to commit
murders. Dr. Caligari represented the murderous authority that the German war government and
Cesare is symbolic of the common man, who is conditioned to kill. Siegfried Kracauer, the author of
From Caligari to Hitler, speaks about the inability of the Germany s unwillingness to rebel about
irrational and maniacal government and the need of a tyrant in German society. While the film speaks

Caligari touches on Theodore Adorno s theory of The Culture Industry. The Culture Industry is a
theory where they believed that pop culture produces goods like films, magazines, and radio to further
manipulate mass societies into passivity. The theory goes on to say that the consumption of these
mediums renders people to be held to conformity and content with no matter their situation.
Nearly the whole movie is depicted as Francis flashback and goes through the plot explaining his
observations of Dr. Caligari and his control over Cesare who is killing people. Throughout the film,
Francis spies on Dr. Caligari and Cesare to keep tabs on mind controlling that is occurring and the
murders that are happening. Throughout Francis stakeouts, he noticed that Cesare is

The Unemployment Rate Of The United Kingdom
1.0. Introduction In the House of Commons during the weekly question in parliament, David Cameron
spoked about the new unemployment figures, Wednesday, October 14 . These figures are extremely
good , boasted that the British Prime Minister . There are 140,000 more people at work , the
employment rate is at an all time high , unemployment is falling , including for young people and for
the long term unemployment . (parliament.uk, 2015).The unemployment rate has actually declined in
August to 5.4% . That s the lowest since May 2008, before the bulk of the financial crisis, and far
from the peak of 8.5% reached in 2011. All sectors of the economy are recruiting , especially
professional and technical services , which created nearly 100,000 jobs in one year. Austerity requires
only the public sector continues to poach : 46,000 jobs were lost there over a year. Unemployment in
Economics occurs when people are without a job while actively searching for one. In the United
Kingdom, the unemployment rate measures the number of people actively looking for a job as a
percentage of the labour force (ONS 2015). Unemployment is a big issue for moderns economics. 2.0.
Causes of unemployment 2.0.1. Types of unemployment In our actual economy , we find differents

The Sower, By Vincent Van Gogh
Vincent Van Gogh was a man in crisis during the late 1880 s. In his painting The Sower, the person
planting the seeds is wearing all black and has no face. Painting someone in all black is a
representation of Van Gogh s sorrow. Not giving the sower a face is a way of expressing that Van
Gogh may think that he has no soul or identity, that he is not deserving of one. A person who was not
in crisis would have given the person some character, using vibrant colors to display their emotions
and expressions. In the article, Van Gogh s Life , Van Gogh says, The orchards stand for pink and
white, the wheatfields for yellow. He has identified each season and subject with a color. There is not
much detail in his painting. The color association to

Essay On The Beaver Wars
The Beaver wars which were also called the French and Iroquois wars were wars fought by the
Iroquois confederacy against the French and the Indian tribes. This included the Huron and
Algonquin. The Indian confederacy wanted to continue to trade with the Dutch, exchanging beaver
pelts for guns, weapons, tools, and beads. Because the beaver fur had become so scarce, the Iroquois
wanted to extend the territory. They utilized what they could with the land they had. With the gaining
of the territory the Iroquois wanted to be in charge of the Fur Trade. This was the start of the Beaver
Wars. Beaver hats were popular among the English and French. It was a status symbol representing
wealth. It also served as a source of income. There were millions made between the 1600s and the
1700s. They were such a hot item that they were seen as the first great American trade. The reason for
the Beaver Wars was that the Iroquois the French wanted control ... Show more content on

The desire to hunt and trade with the Europeans caused controversy with the French. Each wanted to
gain control over the trade. The French stepped in and told other tribes to interfere whenever
necessary. Of course the Iroquois fought the French back. The Five Nations attacked the Huron
Indians and their French Jesuit teachers, causing the Huron Indians to relocate near Quebec. The
French counter attacked and finally the Iroquois agreed to a peace treaty in 1669 lasting 16 years.
When King Williams s war broke out in 1689, the Five Nations once again moved on the French. This
lasted for another 7 years. Finally, in 1700 the peace party presented once again negotiations between
the Iroquois and the French and their allies. The Grand Settlement of 1701 included peace treaties
between the French and 40 Nations of North America. The French and its allies, the Huron and
Algonquians allowed for 16 years of peace. Also, included in this diplomatic event was the Iroquois

Why People Don t Heal And How They Can
Lauren Carter

Senior Studies: Book Review 1
February 8, 2017
Why People Don t Heal and How They Can is a book I read with the career focused intention of
learning another, experienced stance on how to better treat others spiritually, mentally, and physically
through different methods of holistic healing. However, shortly after I had begun reading, it had
become apparent to me that the author, Dr. Caroline Myss, would be bringing more to the table than
the average, new age, mind heals body heals spirit broken record that seems to be repeatedly recycled
under multiple authors. Through this book, Myss not only explained how the mental, emotional,
physical, and spiritual bodies were all connected; she elaborated on how societal ... Show more

Not only did Myss flawlessly combine holistic health with metaphysics and astrology, she presented
the information in a way where everyone, even those not interested in the new age lifestyle would
benefit from her advice and experience. In the first, most impactful chapter, Woundology and the
Healing Fire, Myss immediately dives into the all too common unrecognized root cause of why we
don t heal effectively: ourselves. She elaborates on the societal leverage that mental, emotional, and
physical wounds give us, from the intimacy of speaking woundology (the language of instant trust and
understanding through each other s shared painful experiences), to the pros that subconsciously
motivate being openly wounded, such as attention one might not otherwise receive, unquestionable
excuses, support groups becoming family etc. On page 15, Myss explains, In addition to all the
healing support that [support groups] provide, however, another dynamic has made me begin to
question their healing value. Those for whom the support group has become an important part of their
social life naturally wish to continue indefinitely as members. But because the underlying criterion for
remaining members is continuing need for support, one must accept the group message Remain
unhealed. (Myss, 1997, pg.15)

How Technology Has Made Braces Faster And More Efficient
Daily, children and adults all over the world flood into orthodontic offices for consultations, routine
management checkups, and the rest. The majority of people in today s age have had or will have
braces at some point in their life. However, most people may not be aware of the downsides to
appliances such as braces. Although advancements in orthodontic technology have made braces faster
and more efficient, they are causing unnecessary stress on ligaments and gene tissue found inside the
mouth because of the new found techniques to speed up tooth movement. To start, there are many
children and adults undergo orthodontic treatment mainly for appearance; however, there are many
health concerns braces and other appliances can fix. Braces for teeth consist of bands connected by
wires and, sometimes, small rubber bands. Orthodontists use braces to correct irregular positioning of
the teeth and jaws ( Specialties of Dentistry 144). Correcting jaw alignment can help improve the pain
felt during biting and other jaw movements. Braces can be applied to one s mouth for any duration of
time ranging anywhere from 8 to 26 months. Orthodontic appliances are designed to fix malocclusions
of the mouth, which literally means bad bite , and can be painful if not treated. Hilton explains, In a
controlled manner, dental appliances gently force teeth to move through the supporting bone to a
desired position. The purpose of the appliances is to correct tooth crowding, overjet or protruding

Pros And Cons Of Emotional Perceptions In Psychology
a) The background of the theory is based off of the assumption that emotional disorders arise from the
person s inability to understand and react in a healthy matter to systems within him or herself over
which the person has little control.
b) The underlying assumptions of this theory are that psychological problems result from improper
perceptions of an event rather than the event or stimulus itself.
c) The views of human development and maladaptive behavior are that people misperceive
psychological turmoil due to how they have been conditioned throughout their lives to think or feel
about something.
d) The typical assessment measures are formal assessments, after which the therapist develops a
treatment plan for the client.
e) Treatment methods in cognitive therapy are for the therapist to help the clients see the ways in
which his or her thought processes are faulty and unravel the perceptions that he or she previously had
towards emotional responses to stimuli.
f) The process of therapy consists of helping the client adopt more adaptive attitudes and adjusting
misconceptions to make them more based in reality.
g) This book is theoretical and does not address current research on treatment outcomes.
h) This book does not address issues of individual and cultural diversity.
i) The pros of this perspective are that it addresses the fact that negative emotions and stress often
comes from misperceptions of an event. This provides a sense of control to the client, that

In the Wake of the Plague
Norman F. Cantor, In the Wake of the Plague (New York: Harper Collins First Perennial edition, 2001)
examines how the bubonic plague, or Black Death, affected Europe in the fourteenth century. Cantor
recounts specific events in the time leading up to the plague, during the plague, and in the aftermath of
the plague. He wrote the book to relate the experiences of victims and survivors and to illustrate the
impact that the plague had on the government, families, religion, the social structure, and art.
To illustrate some of the political upheaval due to the Black Death, a good example Cantor uses is the
story of the Plantagenets. If the Black Death had not killed so many peasants who made up the army,
the Plantagenets may have become ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
57).
Cantor details how the plague changed social structure. The plague killed so many peasants that the
remaining peasants were demanding lower rents and higher wages. There was a peasant revolt in 1381
which almost eliminated the royal government. Richard II had some of the peasant leaders killed, and
the revolt was shut down. The result was a further divide between the classes. Wealthier peasants were
able to take advantage of the social dislocation caused by the plague, and poorer peasants sank further
into dependence and misery (p. 90 91). Peasants had formerly identified their place in society by who
their lord was. Now that their world of feudalism was vanishing, they felt displaced, confused and
anxious (p. 100). Violence, drunkenness, and physical accidents were prevalent (p. 95).
Cantor highlights some of the effects that the Black Death had on religion. The plague had a huge
impact on the church because almost forty percent of parish clergy had died from the plague. The
change was made to ordain priests at age twenty instead of twenty five, and a priest could take over a
church at age twenty. Fifteen year olds could receive monastic vows, instead of having to wait until
they were twenty. These were undereducated and inexperienced people (p. 206) and this indirectly
contributed to the spread of the Lollards, who were radical heretics (p.207)
The Lollards attacked the morality of the church, and the

Low Voltage Current Mode Realization of Digital Logic Gates using CMOS
In this paper a new technique is introduced for implementing the basic logic function by using analog
current mode techniques. By expanding the logic function in power series expression, and using adder
and sub tractor realization of the basic logic function is simplified. To illustrate the proposed
technique, a CMOS circuit for simultaneous realization of the logic function NOT, AND, OR, NAND
and XOR is considered. PSPICE simulation results, obtained with ±2V supply, are included.

In an attempt to answer this question, the translinear principle (Gilbert, 1990) has been used to realize
a digital inverter circuit (Kemp, 1983, 1984) a bistable element (Seevinck, 1978) and
NOT/OR/NAND/XOR functions (M., 2003) . All the realizations of logic gates in current mode
reported in references (Kemp, 1983, 1984; Seevinck, 1978; M., 2003) use bipolar technology.
In this paper, we present such an approach, a low Voltage CMOS analog digital circuit in current mode
where it works with a supply voltage of VDD= VSS=2V. The circuit is based on the four quadrant
CMOS analog multiplier (Ali et al., 2009).
POWER SERIES REPRESENTATION OF LOGIC FUNCTIONS
Using their truth tables, it is easy to show that the input output relations of the basic digital logic
function can be expressed as (Enab and Zaki, 1993):
Z= 1 Ix (1)
for the NOT operation,
Z= Ix*Iy (2)
for the AND operation,
Z= Ix + Iy Ix*Iy (3)
for the OR operation,

Z= Ix + Iy 2Ix*Iy (5)
for the XOR operation.

Functions Of A Manager s Role Is Communication
One of the main functions of a manager s role is communication. Effective communication allows for
the successful transmittal of information to all parties who need the information. Managers must be
skillful in delivering not only the good news but also the bad news. Two of the most challenging
topics a manager may have to communicate involve reporting that the company is not performing as
expected and informing an employee that they are no longer employed with the company.
For profit companies are, by definition, created to make money, or a profit. They allocate resources
towards the goal of earning revenue. Shareholders and stakeholders both benefit when a company s
profits increase and many companies today are investing in new technology, usually at a high cost.
The goal is that the new technology will bring more business, thus more profits. When a company
underperforms despite the heavy investments in new technology, it is the manager s responsibility to
communicate upwards to the shareholders what the company s performance is, why the loss happened,
and what changes will be made going forward to correct the issue.
When the company made the decision to invest in the new technology, the communication process
would have been utilized to convey the message to all parties what the expected outcome of the
investment would be. The sender, in this case maybe an IT professional, would have presented the
benefits of the new technology to upper management by encoding the message

3. Analysis of the Marketing Mix for Consumer Market
The products offered (vegetables) are according to the needs of the direct consumers who buy for
immediate consumption in their homes. The products are availed in varieties ranging from kales,
onions, spinach, carrots, tomatoes, Dania and cabbage.
The price for the products is customer friendly as most customers are in the middle income level in
this area.
The products are well distributed all over Soweto and the surrounding areas. Customers do not have to
go far in search of the products as they are available in the vegetable kiosks near them.
The direct consumers will be reached through advertising in the local radio stations as this will cover a
mass market.
4. Analysis of the Marketing mix for Business to Business Market
There are many vegetable kiosks which sell to local consumers. These businesses are a good market
for the product and will buy in the whole sale to sell to the direct customers.
The products will be sold in the whole sale that will mean that the price will be lower so that they can
make a profit after they sell to the direct consumers (Dhār, 2013).

In Time Stereotyping
Stereotyping can lead to bias, prejudice, and discrimination, sometimes causing exclusion of groups,
or oppression, often which are minorities. They are given specific characteristics to fit into, which they
often do not. Stereotyping happens all over the world, more specifically in America. They create a
facade of a preeminent characteristic. They can have dire consequences, become emotionally
damaging attacks, which often results in hurting many people mentally and even physically. This
stereotyping shown In the film In Time, by Andrew Niccol. For instance, Sylvia, a rich woman from
the more upscaled part of the country, has acquainted herself with Will Salas, a poor man from the

This evidence connects to the social criticism of the dangers of stereotyping because Will assumes that
since the rich have money, they mustn t have worked for it. He think that if people have money, they
must have stole it from the poor, or eared it a dishonourable way. The director uses repetition to show
this point, because even though he meets may wealthier people who have not stolen, he still has this
negative stereotype. Though we know that may of the richer characters probably earned their money
by working for it, the less wealthy automatically assume that since they have more, they think they are
better than the rest of the people, and they give no regards to people poorer than themselves. Andrew
Niccol uses these author tools to strongly show the dangers that stereotyping can have on us. In Time
By Andrew niccol shows a criticism towards the dangers of stereotyping, which can convey a
universally believed, false facade towards a certain group. The dangers of stereotyping are shown
throughout the film, In Time, by using juxtaposition and point of view, to show the differences of the

Star Wars Argumentative Analysis
When Ronald Reagan unveiled the Strategic Defense Initiative, the whole world laughed. The movie
Star Wars had just come out, and the description of this new laser defense system seemed more at
home on the screen of a science fiction movie than in the arsenal of the American military. People
today still call the plan absurd, but is it really? Well, the technology is still not quite to the level that
Ronald Reagan had hoped in his speech, but it is not as far fetched as one would think. In fact, this
idea actually has paved the way for very similar systems that have been protecting Americans and
other civilians for years now. So, what was the Strategic Defense Initiative and how did it evolve, how

of art known as Pop Art. Pop Art showed what was popular in American culture; products, celebrities,
etc. Andy Whorl s career started out as a commercial artist. Some of his fellow artists admired him and
his work, while other did not consider him a true artist. He displayed some of his work in museums
and became famous. A friend of Andy told him to make art based on everyday things, so Andy made
his famous picture of the multiple Campbell s soup cans. Whorl used mass production to make some
of his artwork like the Ten Lizes featuring Elizabeth Taylor. His mass production method involved silk
screening. Before he could make the silk screen products, he had to have the images enlarged several
times. The method of silk screening and mass production allowed Andy Whorl to have a team create
his work instead of himself slaving away on his work. His team worked out of his studio in New York
City. His studio, which he called The Factory , had three locations throughout New York City. Andy
Whorl used consumerism in his art. He made prints of pictures of famous people like Marilyn Monroe
and Elizabeth Taylor. Some of his artwork has sublime tones of death. For instance his obsession with
Elizabeth Taylor started when her husband died. He also started his artwork of Marilyn Monroe after
her death. His inspiration for his Jackie Kennedy series was the assassination of her husband,

Themes In Clybourne Park And Water By The Spoonful
Themes are one of the most vital and critical elements of a play s overall significance and meaning.
Without identifying what tools a playwright uses to construct his/her play through a close reading,
such as language, character, or setting, the audience would lack a clear vision of the particular play s
meaning. In the case of Clybourne Park, by Bruce Norris, and Water by the Spoonful, by Quiara
Alegria Hudes, race can be identified as a theme in both, through the use of literary devices, however
it is explored much more subtly in Water by the Spoonful. Race is the major underlying theme in
Clybourne Park, while the themes of community and addiction are dealt with in Water by the
Spoonful. Nevertheless, each play is complete with examples ... Show more content on

Karl s language in this quote, as in the previous, shows his character believes the black race should be
separate from the white community, as he feels they are not equal. He reiterates this when he
ignorantly says, ... fitting into a community is really what it all comes down to (64). Karl s character
evidently proves the theme of race. Here the audience receives a reference to the theme of community.
With the racism of the 1950 s comes the clear divide between the white and black community,
however, the sense that there is still a divide remains in 2009, in the second act.
The racism continues with another white male character, Jim, who pressures black housekeeper,
Francine into admitting that her family and herself would not fit in or feel comfortable living in a
white community. Jim asks, Would this be the sort of neighborhood you d find an attractive place in
which to live? (70). Francine avoids confrontation and simply states, It s a very nice neighborhood
(70). Her use of language is polite, as she does not want to start an argument. Instead of admitting they
would not fit into such a community, as Jim was probing her to admit, she remains calm. Francine
even agrees that there are differences between the two races, and that they live differently, saying in
reply to Jim, I agree with that (73). Rather, Francine may just be giving Jim the answer he wants. She
knows that if she opposes his opinion, she will gain nothing.

Even if in case the algorithm is known, it is very difficult to obtain the key. The Timestamps will prevent any replay attack. Non repudiation is also provided by the timestamps. It is very versatile for users. Different users can use separate modified versions of the algorithm. It nearly impossible to generate the key matrix even if plain text and cipher text are recognized. The same character is replaced by different alpha numerical values which gives more security to the message. Example of the algorithm: Step 1: Take the sequence for n= 0 to 26. Step 2: Convert this sequence of numbers into ternary form of a 3 digit number ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is a match at R[4],R[9] R[18]. Neglect already visited elements. Hence b(0)=[0,4,9,18). Repeat step 1 with the remaining elements of the bin of step 2 and store them in the same bin. This will form one bin. Here, Step 1 is repeated with other elements of bin ie. 4, 9 and 18 values. For elements 4 19, there is no match of values in R[27]. For element 18, there is a match at R[6], R[7], R[12], R[15]. Thus the bin b(0) is updated to (0, 4, 9, 18, 3, 6, 7, 12, 15). We continue to do so till all the elements of the bin are visited. So, elements 3, 12 and 15 have no match. But element 6 has a match at R[1], R[2], R[10] and R[19]. Element 7 has a match at R[5]. Hence, the updated bin after all computations. b(0) is (0,4,9,3,6,7,1,2,10,11,19,5,12,15,18,21) Now the procedure is repeated for the next element of the sequence 1 which has not been visited earlier. The other bins formed are: b(1) = (8, 14, 20, 23,24,25) b(2) = (13) b(3) = (26,16,17, 22) Advantages of this algorithm: It is nearly impossible to extricate the original information. The entertainment and fairytales stories have a tendency to have women going against each other. Abraham Lincoln And The Abolition Of Slavery Even though the abolishment of slavery is a glorious accomplishment during his administration, it was not the only defining factor of Abraham Lincoln when he was president. Lincoln saw past the inequality of black and white and regarded equality and freedom above all as a basis for a united nation because he wrote the Gettysburg Address at a crucial time during the civil war to earn favor among freed slaves and to those opposed to slavery in the North and he decreed the Emancipation Proclamation as a stepping stone to achieve his ultimate goal. Lincoln had deep feelings on the subject of liberty. He knew it was a vital but delicate concept, which needed to be cared for. Nearly a ten years earlier, in the midst of agitation over the Kansas Nebraska Act, Lincoln had said in Peoria, Illinois: Little by little, but steadily as man s march to the grave, we have been giving up the old for the new faith. Nearly eighty years ago we began by declaring that all men are created equal; but now from that beginning we have run down to the other declaration, that for some men to enslave others is a sacred right of self government. These principles cannot stand together. They are as opposite as God and Mammon; and whoever holds to the one must despise the other. • 12. Art In The Renaissance During the period of the Renaissance, many prolific artists were commissioned by prominent families and or groups to create works of art to show personal affluence and dedication to a faith or deity. These actions, seemingly harmless, gave rise to much competition between cities, and some more so than others. Such competition was common, especially considering the fact that Italy was not yet a unified country and was divided up into various city states. As the city states were ruled by affluent families, or prominent groups of people such as guilds or church leaders, rivalries often were due to disputes between said groups. Such was the case in Florence and Siena, as their many wars against one another sealed their opposition. To demonstrate this competition between major cities, one must look at works of art in each respective city and how each relates to one another. To do this, one can look at two prominent MaestĂĄ paintings commissioned in both Florence and Siena by the same artist. To begin, artists were influenced by the city in which they were commissioned. In this, artists work often reflects styles or themes of the cities in which they are working at certain points in time. Take Duccio for example. His first commission for a MaestĂĄ was in Florence for a Dominican oriented group that sought to do good deeds in the name of the Virgin Mary. Therefore it comes as no surprise that the altarpiece for the Santa Maria Novella church would depict the Virgin Mary and the Christ Child as the main subject matter. As Duccio was a Sienese painter and was influenced by other Sienese painters, many aspects of Sienese artistry is evident in his paintings, but he clearly adheres to the vertical style altarpieces with which many Florentines were commissioning around that time that were depicting the same subject matter. In the painting, the Virgin Mary and the Christ Child sit in the middle while various angelic beings, possessing the likenesses of different saints, hover around the throne. The throne that the Virgin Mary sits on is not large and does not take up a lot of space, thus allowing the few figures on the sides of the throne to float freely. In the painting, Duccio portrayed his figures in a more natural ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These types of situations go on in our everyday lives. Also, within this play it presents an everyday conversation in a succinct, direct way. The films I am Legend and The Omega Man are both based off the Richard Matheson novel, I am Legend. In each of these films the creatures are representative of a fear that American society held at the time that the films were made. The Omega Man, released in 1971, features a strong critical allegory about hippie culture in response to the Manson Family murders. I am Legend, released in 2007, features an abandoned and decaying New York City in the post 9/11 era. Painting someone in all black is a representation of Van Gogh s sorrow. Not giving the sower a face is a way of expressing that Van Gogh may think that he has no soul or identity, that he is not deserving of one. A person who was not in crisis would have given the person some character, using vibrant colors to display their emotions and expressions. In the article, Van Gogh s Life , Van Gogh says, The orchards stand for pink and white, the wheatfields for yellow. He has identified each season and subject with a color. • 25. Essay On The Beaver Wars The Beaver wars which were also called the French and Iroquois wars were wars fought by the Iroquois confederacy against the French and the Indian tribes. This included the Huron and Algonquin. The Indian confederacy wanted to continue to trade with the Dutch, exchanging beaver pelts for guns, weapons, tools, and beads. Because the beaver fur had become so scarce, the Iroquois wanted to extend the territory. They utilized what they could with the land they had. With the gaining of the territory the Iroquois wanted to be in charge of the Fur Trade. This was the start of the Beaver Wars. Beaver hats were popular among the English and French. It was a status symbol representing wealth. It also served as a source of income. There were millions made between the 1600s and the 1700s. They were such a hot item that they were seen as the first great American trade. The reason for the Beaver Wars was that the Iroquois the French wanted control ... The French counter attacked and finally the Iroquois agreed to a peace treaty in 1669 lasting 16 years. When King Williams s war broke out in 1689, the Five Nations once again moved on the French. This lasted for another 7 years. Finally, in 1700 the peace party presented once again negotiations between the Iroquois and the French and their allies. The Grand Settlement of 1701 included peace treaties between the French and 40 Nations of North America. The French and its allies, the Huron and Algonquians allowed for 16 years of peace. Why People Don t Heal And How They Can Lauren Carter Bloom Senior Studies: Book Review 1 February 8, 2017 Why People Don t Heal and How They Can is a book I read with the career focused intention of learning another, experienced stance on how to better treat others spiritually, mentally, and physically through different methods of holistic healing. However, shortly after I had begun reading, it had become apparent to me that the author, Dr. Caroline Myss, would be bringing more to the table than the average, new age, mind heals body heals spirit broken record that seems to be repeatedly recycled under multiple authors. Through this book, Myss not only explained how the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual bodies were all connected; she elaborated on how societal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Not only did Myss flawlessly combine holistic health with metaphysics and astrology, she presented the information in a way where everyone, even those not interested in the new age lifestyle would benefit from her advice and experience. In the first, most impactful chapter, Woundology and the Healing Fire, Myss immediately dives into the all too common unrecognized root cause of why we don t heal effectively: ourselves. She elaborates on the societal leverage that mental, emotional, and physical wounds give us, from the intimacy of speaking woundology (the language of instant trust and understanding through each other s shared painful experiences), to the pros that subconsciously motivate being openly wounded, such as attention one might not otherwise receive, unquestionable excuses, support groups becoming family etc. On page 15, Myss explains, In addition to all the healing support that [support groups] provide, however, another dynamic has made me begin to question their healing value. Those for whom the support group has become an important part of their social life naturally wish to continue indefinitely as members. But because the underlying criterion for remaining members is continuing need for support, one must accept the group message Remain unhealed. (Myss, 1997, pg.15) At a first glance, her blunt tone ... How Technology Has Made Braces Faster And More Efficient Daily, children and adults all over the world flood into orthodontic offices for consultations, routine management checkups, and the rest. The majority of people in today s age have had or will have braces at some point in their life. However, most people may not be aware of the downsides to appliances such as braces. Although advancements in orthodontic technology have made braces faster and more efficient, they are causing unnecessary stress on ligaments and gene tissue found inside the mouth because of the new found techniques to speed up tooth movement. To start, there are many children and adults undergo orthodontic treatment mainly for appearance; however, there are many health concerns braces and other appliances can fix. Braces for teeth consist of bands connected by wires and, sometimes, small rubber bands. Orthodontists use braces to correct irregular positioning of the teeth and jaws ( Specialties of Dentistry 144). Correcting jaw alignment can help improve the pain felt during biting and other jaw movements. Braces can be applied to one s mouth for any duration of time ranging anywhere from 8 to 26 months. Orthodontic appliances are designed to fix malocclusions of the mouth, which literally means bad bite , and can be painful if not treated. Hilton explains, In a controlled manner, dental appliances gently force teeth to move through the supporting bone to a desired position. The purpose of the appliances is to correct tooth crowding, overjet or protruding ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 30. In the Wake of the Plague Norman F. Cantor, In the Wake of the Plague (New York: Harper Collins First Perennial edition, 2001) examines how the bubonic plague, or Black Death, affected Europe in the fourteenth century. Cantor recounts specific events in the time leading up to the plague, during the plague, and in the aftermath of the plague. He wrote the book to relate the experiences of victims and survivors and to illustrate the impact that the plague had on the government, families, religion, the social structure, and art. To illustrate some of the political upheaval due to the Black Death, a good example Cantor uses is the story of the Plantagenets. Cantor details how the plague changed social structure. The plague killed so many peasants that the remaining peasants were demanding lower rents and higher wages. There was a peasant revolt in 1381 which almost eliminated the royal government. Richard II had some of the peasant leaders killed, and the revolt was shut down. The result was a further divide between the classes. Wealthier peasants were able to take advantage of the social dislocation caused by the plague, and poorer peasants sank further into dependence and misery (p. 90 91). Peasants had formerly identified their place in society by who their lord was. Now that their world of feudalism was vanishing, they felt displaced, confused and anxious (p. 100). Violence, drunkenness, and physical accidents were prevalent (p. 95). Cantor highlights some of the effects that the Black Death had on religion. The plague had a huge impact on the church because almost forty percent of parish clergy had died from the plague. The change was made to ordain priests at age twenty instead of twenty five, and a priest could take over a church at age twenty. Fifteen year olds could receive monastic vows, instead of having to wait until they were twenty. These were undereducated and inexperienced people (p. 206) and this indirectly contributed to the spread of the Lollards, who were radical heretics (p.207) The Lollards attacked the morality of the church, and the ... Low Voltage Current Mode Realization of Digital Logic Gates using CMOS In this paper a new technique is introduced for implementing the basic logic function by using analog current mode techniques. By expanding the logic function in power series expression, and using adder and sub tractor realization of the basic logic function is simplified. To illustrate the proposed technique, a CMOS circuit for simultaneous realization of the logic function NOT, AND, OR, NAND and XOR is considered. All the realizations of logic gates in current mode reported in references (Kemp, 1983, 1984; Seevinck, 1978; M., 2003) use bipolar technology. In this paper, we present such an approach, a low Voltage CMOS analog digital circuit in current mode where it works with a supply voltage of VDD= VSS=2V. The circuit is based on the four quadrant CMOS analog multiplier (Ali et al., 2009). POWER SERIES REPRESENTATION OF LOGIC FUNCTIONS Using their truth tables, it is easy to show that the input output relations of the basic digital logic function can be expressed as (Enab and Zaki, 1993): Z= 1 Ix (1) for the NOT operation, Z= Ix*Iy (2) for the AND operation, Z= Ix + Iy Ix*Iy (3) for the OR operation, Z= 1 Ix*Iy (4) for the NAND operation, and Z= Ix + Iy 2Ix*Iy (5)

  • 33. Functions Of A Manager s Role Is Communication One of the main functions of a manager s role is communication. Effective communication allows for the successful transmittal of information to all parties who need the information. Managers must be skillful in delivering not only the good news but also the bad news. Two of the most challenging topics a manager may have to communicate involve reporting that the company is not performing as expected and informing an employee that they are no longer employed with the company. For profit companies are, by definition, created to make money, or a profit. They allocate resources towards the goal of earning revenue. Shareholders and stakeholders both benefit when a company s profits increase and many companies today are investing in new technology, usually at a high cost. The goal is that the new technology will bring more business, thus more profits. When a company underperforms despite the heavy investments in new technology, it is the manager s responsibility to communicate upwards to the shareholders what the company s performance is, why the loss happened, and what changes will be made going forward to correct the issue. When the company made the decision to invest in the new technology, the communication process would have been utilized to convey the message to all parties what the expected outcome of the investment would be. The sender, in this case maybe an IT professional, would have presented the benefits of the new technology to upper management by encoding the message ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
