Historical Reality Of The Resurrection Research Paper
The Historical Reality of the Resurrection
There are four main arguments used to deny the historical reality of the Resurrection. In this essay,
I will explain why they are not supported by the facts of the matter
The first main argument is the classic stolen body argument. Obviously this story is fake because
there were usually about 16 roman guards in a patrol, and all of them had different sleep patterns,
therefore, at least one of them must have been awake at all times. Also, the boulder in front of the
tomb was huge, and there s no way the apostles could move it without waking up the roman guards.
The second main argument is that Jesus did not die, but actually faked his death. Clearly this is
false because the Romans and perfected

The Rise Of The Fishing Industry
Before the rise of the fishing industry in the 1950 s Newfoundland and Labrador struggled with an
unstable economy and many citizens found themselves living in poverty. Initially on shore methods
had minimal impact on the environment and fish population, as in shore fishermen followed a strict
season and fished only during the summer leaving the population to migrate in the fall. As
technology advanced steam boats made off shore fishing possible, this allowed draggers to fish in
massive quantities regardless of the season. At first this was very promising to the Canadian
government and the FisheryProducts International Company (FPI) as they saw huge profits, and the
opportunity to create jobs for fishermanand factory workers alike. However, with continued offshore
fishing the inshore fisherman saw significant depletion in the fish population, specifically cod. It
took far too long for the government to realize the severity of the issue and when they did it was
too late. In 1992 the government announced a complete ban of cod fishing. This resulted in the loss
of 19000 jobs, and all profit coming from this industry throwing many small fishing towns in
Newfoundland back into poverty.
All stakeholders felt the effects of the ban; the External Stakeholders FPI explains why they
supplied the boats to major corporations and over exaggerated the cod population and Internal
Stakeholders consisted of the independent fishermen and their families and how they were affected.

Heat Shock Protein 90
Heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) is a 90 kilo Dalton, ubiquitously expressed molecular chaperone
that is required for plays a critical role in various biological processes including cellular survival,
regulation of cell cycle, steroid and other signaling pathways. Although Hsp90 was initially
discovered as a proteinwhose expression increases upon heat stress, it is one of the most abundant
chaperone in the cytoplasm of the eukaryotic cells encompassing 1 2% of the total cellular protein
under normal physiological conditions. The most common homologs of Hsp90 present in the
cytoplasm of mammalian cells are the inducible Hsp90О± and the constitutively active Hsp90ОІ.
Additionally; Hsp90 homologs Trap1 and Grp94 are present in mitochondria and endoplasmic
reticulum. Hsp90 protein exists as a homo dimer with each promoter having the following
functional domain architecture. They are, (1) the N terminal ATP binding domain (NTD) that
binds to co chaperones such as cdc37 and p23 as well as drugs such as galadanamycin, (2) the
middle domain (MD) with a catalytic loop needed for the binding of clients and co chaperones such
as Aha1 and (3) the C terminal dimerization domain (CTD) with a conserved EEVD motif that
interacts with cofactors... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the initiation step of the chaperone cycle, N terminal lid segment closes the ATP binding
pocket leading to contact formation at the NTD. After this step, NTD dimerize forming a twisted
closed molecular clamp structure that is required for the client folding. Finally, ATP hydrolysis
reverts closed structure of Hsp90 back to the initial open structure allowing maturation and release
of the client protein. More than 20 co chaperones including cdc37, HOP, p23, CYP40, HSP70,
AHA1 and others regulate the Hsp90 chaperone cycle as they modulate client protein recognition,
ATPase activity and the biochemical activity of the clients (1,

The Cognitive Theory Of A Sensory Motor Disorder
A Sensory motor disorder is a condition in which the brains ability to receive and respond to
information that is integrated through the sense is compromised. Those affected by sensory system
disorders are usually oversensitive to stimuli in their environment. In the case of Bernie, he portrays
hypersensitivity to sound and visual stimulate secondary to Sensory System Disorder.
One theory that exemplifies Bernie s language development is known as the Cognitive
Connectionism Theory. This theory relies on generic cognitive information processing, as well as
pattern recognition systems. By using the same set of information processes such as attention and
memory, connectionists state language, will be learned. Children are described as employing and
using both cognitive abilities, as well as the social environment to build the foundation for language
competence. This pertains to Bernie because language development it dependent on the specific
areas of weakness in which Bernie presents with. Language will be learned once neural networks
are strengthened by multiple exposures to patterns, as information is attended to and perceived.
Another theory that co occurs with Bernie s language development is the Biological Maturation
Theory. This theory states language is a product of the brain structures and functions, which play an
important role in supporting language acquisition (Nelson 2010). The brain is equipped with
microstructures that contribute to the acquisition of

Defense Of Mary Warren In The Crucible By Arthur Miller
Emma Harrison 10/24/17 Ms. Ruiz Period 6Defense of Mary Warren When it comes to Arthur
Miller s allegorical work, The Crucible, very few characters can be deemed completely innocent.
While just about every person in this story has a flaw of envy, pride, or selfishness, characters can
often be sorted into the accuser or accused categories. One exception to this is Mary Warren.
Throughout the story, her loyalties switch back and forth between these two sides. Due to this,
she may seem like a selfish and unsympathetic character; that is not the case, however. Mary
Warren is an abused and manipulated child, whose decisions in the story are certainly justified,
given her situation. The first we see of Mary is when Betty falls ill after the the girls are caught
congregating in the woods. Immediately, we see she is terrified, fully aware that them being
accused of witchcraft would be a hangin error (1268). Abigail responds to her fear with an order to
lie; she threatens them with violence should they not obey her. Abigail is one of Mary Warren s
main abusers in the story. John Proctor, Mary s employer, enters the scene next. When he sees her
away from his house, he scolds her in a humiliating fashion, even threatening to whip her. From the
stage directions, we see she tries to retain a shred of dignity (1269), when this happens, leading to
the belief that this reproach from Proctor is common in her life. We don t hear from Mary again
until the beginning of Act II. She

Health Care Reform In Canada
Health care reform has been the main factor of parting between Canada and the United States, with
the different political systems of the countries influencing how the molding of the system occurs. A
Social Democratic Third Party in Canada had created the foundation of reform, the influence that a
third party had on the government of Canadawas significant (Maioni, 1997, p.415). The working
class banded together to support the third party in Canada to push for their rights in a way that the
major two parties were unable to do and unconcerned with doing, the third party that was supported
created essentially a voice that gave the working class a prominent position in their country with
concern to reform in health benefits. Within the United States... Show more content on

Beginning in Saskatchewan with the help of the Co Operative Commonwealth Federation in
coalition with the New Democratic Party holding control in the province of Sasakachwan and
acquiring great influence through the support of labour workers in other provinces they were
able to pressure the government towards reform and grasp the attention of the working class
(Maioni, 1997, p.415). The joining of an organization like the CCF and the political party of
NDP created great influence that led to the formation of universal health care by means of a third
party. As opposed to the United States who were unable to convince the organization nor the
political party to get involved in the reforms of health services, this stood in the way of reform,
the inability to form a coalition between these two groups and inability to convince them of
reforms in healthcare led to the rejection (Maioni, 1997, p.420). It was not solely an issue of the
lack of third party representation rather that health care reform was not an idea that had an
opportunity to be tested in a state under a trial basis therefore they were unable to weigh the
benefits or consequences as had happened in Saskatchewan, in which they essentially had senn how
the system worked and drew up the conclusion that that universal health care would be a benefit to
Canada (Maioni, 1997, p.421).

Securing The Homeland And Its Borders Is The United States
Securing the homeland and its borders is the United States first priority and it is important to
successfully to executing the goal of the Department of Homeland Security. It is critical to
understand DHS is the leading federal agency for protecting the Homeland Security. With this
paradigm in mind, this paper will show how Undocumented and legal immigrationaffects the U.S.
economy and how Department of Homeland Security protects the border from, undocumented
immigrants, Drug Dealers, illegal weapons and contraband. I will also explain the importance of
U.S. Customs and law enforcement role in the Department of Homeland Security.

The independent Center for Immigration Studies said, in January 2000 there were 7 million illegal
aliens living in the United States and the center estimated that number to grow by half a million a
year (Peak, 2009, pg. 245). In order for the Department of Homeland Security to protect the border
from, undocumented immigrants, Drug Dealers, illegal weapons and contraband entering the
United States, they collaborate with U.S. Customs and Law enforcement to protect the boarder.
The U.S. Customs and Law enforcement who is within the Department of Homeland Security is
challenge with investigations for things such as, illegal drugs which crosses the border and to
combat any illegal entries or alien smuggling at the border. Their focus is to protect the U.S. border,
which has been in place by Department of Homeland Security ever since September 11, terrorist
attack. In order for departments such as U.S. Customs and Law enforcement to help prevent such
illegal entries of illegal aliens into the United States they to work together with the other
departments within the Department of Homeland Security to facilitate the flow of legal
immigration and goods through the U.S. border while deterring those who are undocumented from
crossing the border.

ABC and the Australian Multimedia Industry
As the ABC is an organisation heavily involved within the Australian Multimedia Industry, the tools
and equipment used are integral to the quality of the content produced. For different areas of
production, the tools and equipment used will differ, for example, when working in television,
equipment would include a set, cameras, tripods, microphones, props, lighting, video monitors and
teleprompter. To edit and deliver good quality television content, the department would use
various editing tools and software s during post production focusing on almost all areas of
audience experience such as visuals and audio. Some of these tools include Photoshop, Adobe
After Effects, Flash and Computer generated imagery (CGI). When working with radio, the
equipment needed to produce a podcast or broadcast includes a sound proof room or studio, sound
boards, microphones and switchboards and the tools used for editing would be solely based around
sounds to enhance the audience s aural experience, so this would include sound editing software
such as audacity.
ABC Television works with independent producers to ensure that the content being delivered to the
public is diverse and unique. Strict processes are followed by both parties to ensure that the content
is of high quality and serves a purpose to the audience.

Critical Appreciation Of William Wordsworth Poetry
An Analysis on William Wordsworth s Poetry
Lines Composed a Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey
The poem Lines Composed a Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey, on Revisiting the Banks of the
Wye during a Tour, 1, July 1798 is deeply rooted in its author s personal history. It was written by
the poet William Wordsworthafter taking a walking tour along the Welsh Borders with his sister,
Dorothy. In the summer of 1973, Wordsworth visited North Wales when he was still quite young
and anxious, with the world on his shoulders. He was, at that time, still new in his profession,
with very radical political views, as well as an estranged father to an illegitimate child in France.

with the beauty of the Wye that it would cause him to feel dizzy or slow down his breathing, but
as he grew older, this tendency of his had changed; the beauty no longer overwhelmed him as

Why Did The United States Become A World Power Dbq Essay
The years between 1860 and 1877 are filled with many developments in the views of the American
people. The North consisted of free states based on an industrial economy while the South based its
agricultural economy on the enslavement of colored males and females. The two sections of
America had two very different views on how the United Statesshould become a world power.
Constitutional developments such as secession of the Southern states in 1860, the Emancipation
Proclamation, and other acts and amendments contributed to more discontent throughout the
country. Developments such as the Black Codes, Freedmen s Bureau, and the creation of the Ku

Some states attempted to nullify unfavorable laws. This was viewed as open rebellion and
ultimately lead to the secession of North Carolina. North Carolina seceded from the union on
December 24, 1860, claiming that certain duties were imposed on states and many of their powers
were restrained. They argued that this imperiled their continued existence as sovereign states and
that they could secede because the right is implicit in the constitution. They provided legal
documents provided in the law of compact stating that the federal government did not uphold its
agreement to honor North Carolina s rights as a sovereign state ((Document A). This constitutional
development helped contribute to a revolution because after these drastic actions taken by the
Southern states, the questions of the states rights needed to be resolved. Since the North had won
the Civil War provided them the opportunity for them to put down the idea of nullification and
secession to rest permanently. These results of the war gave more power to the federal government

Taliban Downfall
Afghanistan is one of the poorest and most troubled countries in the world today (Goodson 4).
Over many years there have been many different leaders and tribes ruling Afghanistan. The most
recent regime was the Taliban. According to The 9/11 Encyclopedia, Taliban means students in
Arabic and it was founded in 1994 by Mohammed Mullah Omar. Omar had his own way of
interpreting the Quran and that led to many religious restrictions on the Afghan people. The Taliban
took over power in 1996 and ended in 2001 after the United Statesinvaded Afghanistan (Atkins).
The Taliban was harboring Osama bin Ladenwho organized an attack on the United States. If the
Taliban, along with al Qaeda, had not harbored Osama bin Laden and conducted the attacks on
September 11th 2001 then the United States may not have invaded Afghanistan.
On September 11th 2001, Osama bin Laden organized a terrorists group, with the aide of al

Heated debates have emerged regarding the advantages and disadvantages of Prezi and

though, at the end, the preference will be left up to the reader.

Therefore, attention to detail is a requirement when building a slideshow (Sheehan, 2012).
PowerPoint has had a pseudo monopoly on the market in the way of presenting material in an
attractive and entertaining way. That was until Prezi came to the business presentation market in
2009. Prezi was developed to fill the void of a much needed alternative to the everyday
PowerPoint presentation. The new, freer flowing, less linear presentation platform excited people
significantly. For many, the standard, cheesy transitions available in PowerPoint limited the
creativity of their presentations, which in turn had the potential to limit their careers. Prezi s use of
paths, where a free moving camera follows a set of connected frames, instead of slides, makes
every Prezi unique one has almost infinite possibilities when deciding which direction, literally, he
or she want to take the presentation. Prezi has its drawbacks though. For instance, Prezi, unlike
PowerPoint, does not have spellchecker. This inconveniences those hurried executives who want to
throw together a presentation without having to scan every word for a typo. In addition, up until
recently, Prezi users were not able to insert new stops along the pathway easily. When a user took a
screenshot, Prezi sent the frame to the end of the presentation,

Comfort women, or ianfu as they are called in Korean, are females who were forced sex slaves
for the Japanese Imperial Army (Chunghee). Some of the women were dragged off with physical

(Watanabe). Still other were officially drafted by the JapaneseImperial Army and believed they

The majority of Korean women seem to have come from lower class worker and farmer families.
Korean and other Asian women were assigned to lower ranking soldiers, while Japanese and
European women were reserved for higher ranking officers (Watanabe). This obviously portrays the
condescending attitude the Japanese had toward Koreans.
Japanese military leaders formulated the concept of comfort women in order to stop soldiers
from committing sexual violence towards women they might encounter. Japanese Lieutenant
General Okamura Yasuji proposed that comfort women should be shipped to Shanghai to solve
the problem of 223 rapes reportedly committed by troops there (Kim). One former comfort
woman reported that in some places, soldiers were so desperate for some kind of outlet for their
sexual desires that they had intercourse with dogs (Kim in Schellstede 32). It is estimated that
over 125 million forced sexual acts took place between Japanese soldiers and comfort women in
the span of only five years (Kim). The Japanese military made soldiers pay to have sex with
comfort women. The prices were as follows: 1.50 yen for privates, 2 yen for non commissioned
officers, 2.50 yen for junior officers, and 3 yen for senior officers (Hicks 19). Concerned for the
health of their soldiers, Japanese military leaders provided condoms to thwart the spread of any

How To Break Up With Someone Essay
How To Break Up With Someone
Almost everyone will have to break up with a boyfriend or a girlfriend at some point in his or

time, you found something special in this person that you are now going to have to get out of

Tell them what you have learned from the relationship and let them know that you will carry on this
knowledge forever. You can further use your experience from this relationship when you come to
problems in future relationships. Do not attack the person with how they hurt you or hit them with
personal blows. True, there is a reason you are breaking up, but there is no need to include that
because it will only start an argument. This leads us to our next matter, what to do if they ask what
went wrong?
If the person asks what went wrong do not verbally attack them. This could lead to many
situations that could make the break up more difficult, including an unwanted fight. Tell them
simply that it is you and blame yourself. If you blame them they could try to convince you that
they can change when you know they can?t. However, if you blame yourself, he or she cannot
say, ?Well you could change this?? Make up an excuse. You can say you have a lot of stress on
you, you don?t want a serious relationship right now or you have other priorities to tend to. Make
sure the excuse is something that they could not change about their self. This could lead to being
manipulated into staying.
After the initial break up is over, make sure to cut off all contact with this person. Do not call them
or go places you might see them. Avoid them at all costs. If you continue to

Sir Edmund Hillary And Tenzing Norgay
How can humans impact the world around them? This may seem hard to answer, but people are
already impacting Mount Everest, and not in a positive way. People that choose to climb Mount
Everest are causing many problems. They drop off items all around the mountain, and even
compete with previous records. These can result with either a venue of pollution or even death. This
can change Mount Everest, by turning it from a place of enjoyment into a place of destruction.
To begin, people love to complete missions, but their drive to do so can result in death. The text
authenticates, On May 29, 1953, Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay became the first people
known to reach the summit of Mount Everest, the world s highest mountain. In doing so, the men
set a precedent that many climbers spend their lives trying to reproduce...Before Hillary and
Norgay s historic accomplishment, many climbers had tried to reach Mount Everest s summit but

John Winthrop And John Adams
John Winthrop and John Adams and their respective works were heavily influenced by their times.
Winthrop was a devout Puritan Christian that was escaping a persecuting king in the early to mid
seventeenth century. As a learned and religious man, he came to be the leader of this puritan sect
that was to establish a society unlike any other, free from religious corruption that his fellow people
saw in the Church of England, that would be a model community much like the Citty upon a Hill
described in the bible. On the other hand, John Adams experienced the tyranny of the British
monarchy in a contrasting way. This era was marked with worsened conditions for American
colonists in terms of economic and social taxations. Their literary... Show more content on

Winthrop s political theory developed from an early age. As a religious man, one would expect
him to be a preacher, but he found his calling through law and leadership. Because he was such a
devout Puritan, he was chosen to spearhead the project of establishing the Massachusetts Bay
Colony, which was originally purposed for economic uses. This changed when the group elected
him as governor, which altered the purpose of the colony to be more religious in nature. As a
result, this group of Christians made an exodus from the old world with the mindset of
establishing a true Christian society , much like the Jews fleeing from Egypt, as described in the
first testament, book of Exodus in the Bible. They felt it was not only a privilege but a duty of
God, and as the metaphorical and literal hands of God, to uphold the values of a true Puritan
society. This cemented in him a purpose to erect a community that would be that Citty on a Hill
that is so famously quoted.
In his address upon the Arabella, Winthrop reasoned that a society cannot have liberty without
certain guidelines. Although similar to the social contract theory of Hobbes, who argued for a
strong central government to prevent the evils that humanity naturally expresses, Winthrop argued
for a strong government that would not only prevent the sinful ways of people, but to create an
environment that Christians could fulfill their godly purposes it its

Current State of the Union; Analysis of a Political...
When describing the current state of the USA, very little positive language would be used. The
more standard response would be one including an overall negative, and debt describing
language. As seen in Barrack Obama s 2014 State of the Union Address, the president of our
nation seemed to completely disregard the actual state of the union by simply stating that, The
state of the union is sound . This short, vague, and contradicting statement seemed to be blow up
the anemic progressions our nation has made during Obamas presidency. It is safe to say that the
description of a sound nation did not make a connection with many Americans. It left people with
more of a sense of confusion to what the actual situation stands to be. That situation, the current
state of our union, would more appropriately be described as upsetting. Especially when being
described by the current president of over five years who promised to better our nation. Gary
McCoy s drawing depicts the not so serious response to Barack Obamas humorous statement to the
current state of the union, and poses the argument that his remarks no longer send a sense of
promise and hope, but more of something to just roll your eyes at. In the cartoon, President
Barack Obama is presented in a stereotypical and degrading way. He is drawn to have a very
prominent round nose, and much emphasis is placed on his very large ears . With this, he is also
depicted with a tiny head, potentially hinting at a small brain. In

Reflection About My Practicum Experience
This portfolio is reaching its end and it is now time for me to start reflecting about my practicum
period. Last year was a great year and a challenging one as well.
When the practicum period started I was lost, I did not know where to begin and what to do and
it took me time to adapt to the new challenges I faced. Once I sat down and considered my
options I began searching for schools to do the practicum. The city I live in has many
disadvantages as far as education; on the one hand, English is not taught in kindergarten so I ended
up teaching in a Language School during the kindergarten period; on the other, there are not many
qualified English teachers and this resulted on very scarce feedback from the teachers who
observed my lessons.
As time went by, things did not get easier; it took me three months to be accepted in the primary
school because of some issues with the Ministerio de EducaciГіn . Luckily, I did not have such
problems in the secondary school.
This portfolio helped me realize my strengths and weaknesses as a teacher. As regards my
teaching skills is concerned, now that I re read all the lesson plans I made, I can say that I made
some progress. Firstly, I learn to create meaningful and effective contexts. As it can be seen in my
firsts lesson plans contexts always caused me problems. At first I considered that using a course
book was more than enough to create contexts, which is not the case. Course books are helpful

Executive Summary:
This case presents a scenario where PepsiCo, a company known for its successful acquisitions of
food chains to expand its business, has to weigh its options whether or not to acquire Carts of
Colorado, a merchandiser of mobile food carts and kiosks and California Pizza Kitchen, a big name
in the casual dining segment.

The timing of acquisition by PepsiCo was well planned because the target companies were losing
their market share during that time period and the offer of an acquisition by PepsiCo was accepted
with a hope to drift back into the market.
Consistent with PepsiCo s decentralized structure and the emphasis the firm placed on
entrepreneurial management, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and KFCeach operated with a great deal of
autonomy. PepsiCo did not interfere in their businesses unless they thought that their interference
was necessary for the strategic growth.
How does Pepsi s corporate strategy create a competitive advantage for them?
Pepsi s corporate strategy was to follow a Related Linked Diversification (mixed related and
unrelated) because there are only limited links between businesses. They went ahead with
expansion through acquiring other firms only when they believed that the product of the target
firm was a complement to their product i.e. the soft drink. The acquisition of Frito Lay also took
place because Pepsi believed that snack chips went well with soda. Similarly, this corporate
relatedness and operational relatedness can be seen in the acquisitions of Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and
KFC.
Their practice of letting the managers navigating across the businesses holding different
responsibilities worked well for PepsiCo. This way, transferring

Essay On Causes Of World War 1
World War I There were many causes of the First World War or the Great War. Some major factors
that contributed to the war include nationalism, imperialism, militarism, and the alliance system of
countries. The war had a major impact on the US economy and its political influence in the world.
Nationalism Nationalism (as of dictionary.com) is a sentiment based on common cultural
characteristics that binds a population and often produces a policy of national independence or
separatism. It is what fuels the pride in a person. People who express great pride in their country
are more likely to fight for it and protect it from invaders and attacks. Nationalism unifies people
within the country but also causes great competition among other countries. Each country want to
prove that it is better than the other countries in the world. The major countries that were
influenced by the nationalistic ideas were Serbia, Russia, France, and Germany (Hart, 2014). As
part of the Pan Slavism movement, the nationalist radicals in Russia aimed to unite the many
Orthodox Slavs inhabiting the Balkans and other lands that were controlled by the Ottoman
Turkish Empire (Hart, 2014). Imperialism Imperialism was partly caused by nationalism as the
countries wished to increase their power and wanted to prove their superiority. Thus began the race
to take over territories and form colonies in parts of Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. Conflicts were
often created as two countries wanted to take

A Study Of Charles Darwin s Theory Of Evolution
Assessment
Charles Darwin first discovered the theory of evolution by natural selection, in 1858, alongside
Alfred Wallace. It is the process of which organisms change overtime as a result of heritable
physical and behaviour traits (Live science. 2016). Darwin s Theory states that individuals of a
certain species have variation between others in that certain specie. This is due to the differences in
the genes. The genes that allow an individual to survive in their environment are usually passed
down to the offspring, which causes little variation in the species (BBC. 2016). Evolution has many
supporting evidence and mechanisms that contribute to it.

However over the years it has been put at risk due to climate change effects; rising sea temperature

Charles Darwin s theory of evolution by natural selection is the most commonly known theory.
There are many points of supporting evidence and mechanisms that contribute towards the theory

The purpose of this study is to define and examine the range design requirements for a variety of
case studies on heritage museums with modern intervention, each of which has a different type:
internal intervention, addition or integration. In doing so, an analysis of the impact of the case by
case design requirements that the innovation has on the building s idenity can be made.
Furthermore, the literature review will highlight the fact that there are similarities and differences
while finally considering the notion that comparisons and commendalities could be made and will

The aim was to preserve the architectural integrity of the ex isting building (Stott, 2014). The
proposed design hides underground beneath the existing footprint of the museum, which acts as a

excavation, and removing ob structions inserted into the museum s original de sign, which allow
for major improvements to light, circulation, and exhibition space. These are the main design
requirements of which the project is based. In other areas, Gehry added simple sand stone clad stair

Ethical Dilemma of Hiv Disclosure in Intimate Relationships
HIV Prevention with Positives in Thailand: Ethical Dilemma of HIV Status Disclosure in intimate
relationship.
Abstract
Every year, there are about ten thousand new HIV infection cases in Thailand. The majority of new
HIV transmissions in Thailand have changed from commercial sex to intimate relationships while
HIV prevention generally focuses on self protection and universal precaution. In 2003, Center for
Disease Control and Prevention recommend to integrate HIV preventive measure into routine HIV
care. According to a survey of People Living with HIV and AIDS(PLWHA) in Thailand, 45% of
HIV infections came from transmission between spouses and 10% believed that their partners knew
their HIV status before having a relationship. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most of these preventive measures aim at self protection of the general HIV negative population
and vulnerable groups. HIV positive people have not been included in prevention strategies and
messages. Fear of further stigmatization exclude concept of responsibility for health of sexual
partner as an alternative strategy and prevention program. (Bayer 1996) However research has
shown that after most PLWHA learn their HIV status they reduce their unprotected sex, though
some still engage in unsafe sex.(Janssen, Holtgrave, Valdiserri et al. 2001; Marks, Richardson,
Crepaz et al. 2002) In 2003, the Centers for Disease Control recommended the Prevention with
Positives strategy to promote sexual health among PLWHA attending HIV/AIDS clinic and to help
reduce onward HIV transmission.(Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 2003) Positive
prevention was recommended by UNAIDS (the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS); it
has been implemented in industrialized countries, and should be a priority in high prevalence
regions.(Bunnell R, J. and K 2006)
Advance in medical treatment, especially antiretroviral treatment have improved quality of life and
prolongs survival. Antiretroviral treatment also reduces the probability of HIV transmission by
reducing virus to undetectable level. (Vernazzaa, Hirschelb, Bernasconic et al. 2008)

International Relations Concepts
International Relations 210
Midterm Assignment
1.What does it mean to study international relations?
The study of international relations pertains to the understanding of the rules of engagement
between the sovereign states. This study falls under the domain of political science and
international law studies. Based on the study of international relations, an individual gets an insight
into the foreign policies of a government, the political dynamics that are prevalent in a region and
overall global events awareness. It also enables understanding the entities of intergovernmental
organizations. Understanding of the international relations also pertains to comprehending the level
of declared and vested interests possessed by different states in the course of interaction with other
nations. Study of international relationship also pertains to finding amicable means towards the
resolution of the problems faced through diplomatic engagement of the parties (Wilkinson 2007).
2.How do realism and liberalism differ?
Realism is based on the mindset of military might, war hysteria and aiming to gain maximum
ground against the rivals. The military empowerment and use of force as a means to protecting
oneself makes up for the main idea of realism. In a practical scenario, the Cold war era depicted the
realism in terms of international relationship. In the light of realism, the countries aimed at
establishing their influence by providing military and other forms of

My journey from non belief to trenchant atheism began with The Bible.
My story stands in contrast to Michael Collett s touching story of sincere faith lost. Bit I take
particular issue with Michael Jensen s seemingly polite reply to Collett s article. I hope I ve put
Collet s case...in such a way as he would recognise it , he simpers, before paraphrasing Collett s
denial of God s existence in a way which amounts to a tacit acknowledgement that God exists .
Since I did not grow up in a Christian household, attend church, or even have to endure Bible

Century after century of Christendom saw superstition supplanted by science. The Earth isn t flat,

Michael Collett s faith collapsed due to the lack of evidence. Jensen agrees that if the evidence is
not good, then don t believe it .
Suppose there is a God... , implores Jensen. Suppose there is a Creator. Suppose God as more
than a force, as a personal, relational God who loves humans. It s not an outlandish idea, even if
you yourself don t believe it.
No, taken in such vague, subjective terms, I suppose it is not outlandish. But believing in some sort

the Nicene Creed, or profession of the faith, involves adherence to the virgin birth, the divinity of

i. Potential Entrants
The potential threat of new entrants is low as it costs high when it comes to producing a high

The Spread of Soviet-Backed Communism Across Eastern...
The Spread of Soviet Backed Communism Across Eastern Europe after 1945 In seeking to
provide an answer to the question, Was the spread of Soviet backed communism inevitable
across Eastern Europe after 1945?, I would like to point to the words of a contemporary
specialist. At the end of World War II, R. R. Betts, the Masaryk Professor of Central European
History at London University, asserted that much of the revolution in central and eastern Europe
is native and due to the efforts of the peoples and their own leaders . . . [making it] clear that

Yet there are many such cases within the purview of this question. However, I do not completely
disagree with the thesis of inevitability of Soviet backed communism or at least some form of
authoritarianism. Thus, in the first section of this paper, I will air much of the support for that
assertion and conclude that it was highly likely Soviet backed communism would eventually
accomplish what it did. However, in a second section, I will argue that this outcome was hardly a
fait accompli in 1945. Neither the subtleties of Eastern Europe s possible economic relations with
the West in the form of the Marshall plan nor the lack of uniformity of the processes by which
different states became Soviet satellites bear out the thesis of inevitability. The main strands of the
argument for the inevitability of both authoritarianism and Soviet backed communism follow: The
liberal democracies established in Eastern Europe after World War I were enfeebled by many
factors, so much so that by the beginning of World War II, authoritarianism was already the norm.
Thus, the post war step to further authoritarianism was not very large. The Wilsonian attempt at
creating nations produced conditions hardly less destabilizing than those that had characterized the
pre 1914 period, chiefly because of the sheer number of different ethnicities with the vehement
desire . . . to secure revision of the post war settlement (Lewis 28, 30). The

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Quantitative Easing
Introduction
The main issue, which has been seen in the emerging economies, is that the growing inflation and
the hurdle of the debt crises. Similar situation has also been faced by the European Economies.
This is not the first time that these economies are facing this hurdle, because in the previous year
also there were some loans taken by the European Central Bank in order to help these economies.
However, the payment of these loans was a hurdle for the central bank. This issue has now become
more critical due to the emerging technical issue in the European economies (Handl Paterson, 2013).
All these have made the ECB to look into the matter of applying the QE. This paper would be

Difference Between Shakespeare And Romeo And Juliet
Although Ovid and William Shakespeare were born in very different time periods, they share
quite similar stories of love and tragedy in their popular works Pyramus and Thisbe and The
Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Ovid first created his story, Pyramus and Thisbe , about the romance
between two separated lovers. Then, years later, Shakespeare wrote his play The Tragedy of Romeo
and Juliet, which shows many signs of influence from Ovid. The stories also share various
archetypes that shape their tales. For example, the works both contain classical romances with an
ending full of tragedy. Also, there are many guiding factors that are the same, such as the

Throughout the stories, there is a looming factor that is changed by the tragic ending, the feud
and the mulberry tree. In Pyramus and Thisbe , the snow white mulberries, that are mentioned in
the exposition, change to a dark red after the warm blood of the two lovers splatters upon the
fruit. According to the text in Pyramus and Thisbe , The blood spurted up over the berries and
dyed them a dark red (948). Later in the story, Ovid states, The gods were pitiful at the end, and
the lover s parents too. The deep red fruit of the mulberry is the everlasting memorial of these
true lovers (949). In both tales, the change is carried from beginning to end, as the tone of the
story also changes. The berries from the mulberry tree represent the change in worlds of the
characters. Similarly, the horrible feud that begins the tragic story of Romeo and Juliet ends
once the a pair of star crossed lovers take their life. The Prince of Verona states at the end of the
woeful play, See what a scourge is laid upon your hate, / That heaven finds a means to kill your

team feeling in them. Daily basis constitutes of morning and evening shifts where most of the
time industry is customer facing or manufacturing, where long working hours are required and
employees have to work 50 60 hours a week and eventually get dissatisfies from their daily work.
The job sharing policy helps them to ease out from this monotonous environment and regain

Guys Like Us Analysis
As a newly graduated journalist, Ben Woodward, from a third generation Cairns family,
contributed in the latter part of the 90s and early in the new century used his considerable talent
with words to inform the LGBT community and the general public about the latest gigs, and artists
to listen to and look out for. His great interest in music helped to nourish his passion as a DJ.
After working as a journalist at Cairns radio stations 4CA and Hot FM, in 1999 he volunteered at
local youth service YouthLink, where he started the first gayyouth group in Cairns, Guys Like Us .
Feeling fortunate to have attended a similar group in Brisbane, he wanted the same opportunity for
youth in Cairns. Made redundant when the radio station centralised their newsroom in Townsville,

product of his own family upbringing, he and his family show how these isssues should be dealt

In May 2000, he became host of Tropical Gay FM, staying on for 18 months, before moving to
London in 2001.
When Ben went to the UK in 2001 he sent reports back about the music scene, its trends, its
upcoming artists and an indepth review of the huge music festivals around the UK. He quite
clearly enjoyed his time overseas, reporting he preferred chestnuts roasting over a hot fire to baking
in his own sweat.
Ben, and British partner Ricky Philbin returned to Cairnsin 2008, and he continues as an active and
valuable member of the Cairns Gay Community; the Out! Cairns parties and Cairns Tropical Pride,
just some of the activities he continues involvement with. Also spokesperson for the Cairns LGBT
Alliance, he frequently speaks to the local media on LGBT+ issues, particularly marriage

Martin Luther Private Confession
The placement of corporate confession in the Sunday liturgical service would diminish the
significance of observance Private confession. This would cause an unending debate on practicing
private confession and whether private confession should also be considered a sacrament within
the Lutheran church. Private confession was a rite introduced by the Celtic missionaries and
mandated by the Council of Trent to be observed once a year especially before receiving
communion. However, the abuse of penance through the selling of indulgences caused Martin
Luther to seek reform on the corrupted practices of the papacy of the Catholic church, therefore
leading many believers of the new church skeptical of continuing the practice of private confession.
However, Luther argued that observance of private confession was an imperative of every
Christian to taken part in, evidenced in many of Luther s writings, specifically the Babylonian
Captivity and The Sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ Against the Fanatics.
Due to this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Luther s The Sacrament of the Body and Blood of Christ Against the Fanatics, Luther lists
private confessions as one of the three most important confessions Christians should observe in
their spiritual journey. Luther strongly believed that Private confession serves a good purpose for
the simple childlike people because it gives an opportunity to instruct the people, hear what they
believe and to teach them to pray Luther s view on Private confession led him to revise the
practice of this rite, which included the reflection of one s faith and external behavior, an
admission of one s sinfulness leading to penitent s willful confession of sins and the minister s

  • 2. Historical Reality Of The Resurrection Research Paper The Historical Reality of the Resurrection There are four main arguments used to deny the historical reality of the Resurrection. In this essay, I will explain why they are not supported by the facts of the matter The first main argument is the classic stolen body argument. Obviously this story is fake because there were usually about 16 roman guards in a patrol, and all of them had different sleep patterns, therefore, at least one of them must have been awake at all times. Also, the boulder in front of the tomb was huge, and there s no way the apostles could move it without waking up the roman guards. The second main argument is that Jesus did not die, but actually faked his death. Clearly this is false because the Romans and perfected ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. The Rise Of The Fishing Industry Before the rise of the fishing industry in the 1950 s Newfoundland and Labrador struggled with an unstable economy and many citizens found themselves living in poverty. Initially on shore methods had minimal impact on the environment and fish population, as in shore fishermen followed a strict season and fished only during the summer leaving the population to migrate in the fall. As technology advanced steam boats made off shore fishing possible, this allowed draggers to fish in massive quantities regardless of the season. At first this was very promising to the Canadian government and the FisheryProducts International Company (FPI) as they saw huge profits, and the opportunity to create jobs for fishermanand factory workers alike. However, with continued offshore fishing the inshore fisherman saw significant depletion in the fish population, specifically cod. It took far too long for the government to realize the severity of the issue and when they did it was too late. In 1992 the government announced a complete ban of cod fishing. This resulted in the loss of 19000 jobs, and all profit coming from this industry throwing many small fishing towns in Newfoundland back into poverty. All stakeholders felt the effects of the ban; the External Stakeholders FPI explains why they supplied the boats to major corporations and over exaggerated the cod population and Internal Stakeholders consisted of the independent fishermen and their families and how they were affected. • 4. Heat Shock Protein 90 Heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) is a 90 kilo Dalton, ubiquitously expressed molecular chaperone that is required for plays a critical role in various biological processes including cellular survival, regulation of cell cycle, steroid and other signaling pathways. Although Hsp90 was initially discovered as a proteinwhose expression increases upon heat stress, it is one of the most abundant chaperone in the cytoplasm of the eukaryotic cells encompassing 1 2% of the total cellular protein under normal physiological conditions. The most common homologs of Hsp90 present in the cytoplasm of mammalian cells are the inducible Hsp90О± and the constitutively active Hsp90ОІ. Additionally; Hsp90 homologs Trap1 and Grp94 are present in mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum. Hsp90 protein exists as a homo dimer with each promoter having the following functional domain architecture. They are, (1) the N terminal ATP binding domain (NTD) that binds to co chaperones such as cdc37 and p23 as well as drugs such as galadanamycin, (2) the middle domain (MD) with a catalytic loop needed for the binding of clients and co chaperones such as Aha1 and (3) the C terminal dimerization domain (CTD) with a conserved EEVD motif that interacts with cofactors... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During the initiation step of the chaperone cycle, N terminal lid segment closes the ATP binding pocket leading to contact formation at the NTD. After this step, NTD dimerize forming a twisted closed molecular clamp structure that is required for the client folding. Finally, ATP hydrolysis reverts closed structure of Hsp90 back to the initial open structure allowing maturation and release of the client protein. More than 20 co chaperones including cdc37, HOP, p23, CYP40, HSP70, AHA1 and others regulate the Hsp90 chaperone cycle as they modulate client protein recognition, ATPase activity and the biochemical activity of the clients (1, ... • 5. The Cognitive Theory Of A Sensory Motor Disorder A Sensory motor disorder is a condition in which the brains ability to receive and respond to information that is integrated through the sense is compromised. Those affected by sensory system disorders are usually oversensitive to stimuli in their environment. In the case of Bernie, he portrays hypersensitivity to sound and visual stimulate secondary to Sensory System Disorder. One theory that exemplifies Bernie s language development is known as the Cognitive Connectionism Theory. This theory relies on generic cognitive information processing, as well as pattern recognition systems. By using the same set of information processes such as attention and memory, connectionists state language, will be learned. Children are described as employing and using both cognitive abilities, as well as the social environment to build the foundation for language competence. This pertains to Bernie because language development it dependent on the specific areas of weakness in which Bernie presents with. Language will be learned once neural networks are strengthened by multiple exposures to patterns, as information is attended to and perceived. Another theory that co occurs with Bernie s language development is the Biological Maturation Theory. This theory states language is a product of the brain structures and functions, which play an important role in supporting language acquisition (Nelson 2010). The brain is equipped with microstructures that contribute to the acquisition of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Defense Of Mary Warren In The Crucible By Arthur Miller Emma Harrison 10/24/17 Ms. Ruiz Period 6Defense of Mary Warren When it comes to Arthur Miller s allegorical work, The Crucible, very few characters can be deemed completely innocent. While just about every person in this story has a flaw of envy, pride, or selfishness, characters can often be sorted into the accuser or accused categories. One exception to this is Mary Warren. Throughout the story, her loyalties switch back and forth between these two sides. Due to this, she may seem like a selfish and unsympathetic character; that is not the case, however. Mary Warren is an abused and manipulated child, whose decisions in the story are certainly justified, given her situation. The first we see of Mary is when Betty falls ill after the the girls are caught congregating in the woods. Immediately, we see she is terrified, fully aware that them being accused of witchcraft would be a hangin error (1268). Abigail responds to her fear with an order to lie; she threatens them with violence should they not obey her. Abigail is one of Mary Warren s main abusers in the story. John Proctor, Mary s employer, enters the scene next. When he sees her away from his house, he scolds her in a humiliating fashion, even threatening to whip her. From the stage directions, we see she tries to retain a shred of dignity (1269), when this happens, leading to the belief that this reproach from Proctor is common in her life. We don t hear from Mary again until the beginning of Act II. She ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Health Care Reform In Canada Health care reform has been the main factor of parting between Canada and the United States, with the different political systems of the countries influencing how the molding of the system occurs. A Social Democratic Third Party in Canada had created the foundation of reform, the influence that a third party had on the government of Canadawas significant (Maioni, 1997, p.415). The working class banded together to support the third party in Canada to push for their rights in a way that the major two parties were unable to do and unconcerned with doing, the third party that was supported created essentially a voice that gave the working class a prominent position in their country with concern to reform in health benefits. The joining of an organization like the CCF and the political party of NDP created great influence that led to the formation of universal health care by means of a third party. As opposed to the United States who were unable to convince the organization nor the political party to get involved in the reforms of health services, this stood in the way of reform, the inability to form a coalition between these two groups and inability to convince them of reforms in healthcare led to the rejection (Maioni, 1997, p.420). It was not solely an issue of the lack of third party representation rather that health care reform was not an idea that had an opportunity to be tested in a state under a trial basis therefore they were unable to weigh the benefits or consequences as had happened in Saskatchewan, in which they essentially had senn how the system worked and drew up the conclusion that that universal health care would be a benefit to Canada (Maioni, 1997, p.421). ... The Spread of Soviet Backed Communism Across Eastern Europe after 1945 In seeking to provide an answer to the question, Was the spread of Soviet backed communism inevitable across Eastern Europe after 1945?, I would like to point to the words of a contemporary specialist. At the end of World War II, R. R. Betts, the Masaryk Professor of Central European History at London University, asserted that much of the revolution in central and eastern Europe is native and due to the efforts of the peoples and their own leaders . . . [making it] clear that even if the Soviet Union had not been so near and so powerful, revolutionary changes would have come at the end of so destructive and subversive a war as that which ended... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Yet there are many such cases within the purview of this question. However, I do not completely disagree with the thesis of inevitability of Soviet backed communism or at least some form of authoritarianism. Thus, in the first section of this paper, I will air much of the support for that assertion and conclude that it was highly likely Soviet backed communism would eventually accomplish what it did. However, in a second section, I will argue that this outcome was hardly a fait accompli in 1945. Neither the subtleties of Eastern Europe s possible economic relations with the West in the form of the Marshall plan nor the lack of uniformity of the processes by which different states became Soviet satellites bear out the thesis of inevitability. The main strands of the argument for the inevitability of both authoritarianism and Soviet backed communism follow: The liberal democracies established in Eastern Europe after World War I were enfeebled by many factors, so much so that by the beginning of World War II, authoritarianism was already the norm. Thus, the post war step to further authoritarianism was not very large. The Wilsonian attempt at creating nations produced conditions hardly less destabilizing than those that had characterized the pre 1914 period, chiefly because of the sheer number of different ethnicities with the vehement desire . . . to secure revision of the post war settlement (Lewis 28, 30).
