Reproductive Rights Of Men And Women
One of the most controversial topics being discussed in today s society is the concept of reproductive
rights. According to the Salem Press Encyclopedia, reproductive rights provide individuals with the
freedom to make sexual and reproductive decisions (Caffrey, 2014). Reproductive rights provide both
men and women the opportunity to seek reproductive healthcare and education. Additionally, these
rights are designed to provide individuals and couples with the opportunity to decide whether or not
they would like to have children throughout their lives. Some services available to these individuals
are the right to birth control and other contraceptive options, abortion, sexually transmitted disease
testing, and much more. Although reproductive rights do aide to include the rights of men and women,
this paper will focus specifically on the reproductive rights of girls and women. Studies show there is
an importance around the idea of girls and women being able to have control of their own bodies.
Why Are Reproductive Rights Important? In general, reproductive rights are important to the
individual as well as to our society. Reproductive rights are important because they promote a sense of
equality and personal freedom. They provide individuals with right to a safe, responsible, and
satisfying sex life. A key aspect of reproductive rights is that they allow a person to choose if and
when they are going to have children. They also provide access to education, abortions, STD

Introduction
Anthem for Doomed Youth by Wilfred Owen and The Diameter Of The Bomb by Yehuda Amichai are
poems, the former imagines the dead soldier s funeral because of the war, the latter describes the
aftermath of bomb explosion. Anthem for Doomed Youth satirizes that war brings suffering to the
people, The Diameter Of The Bomb reveals the use of weapons destroys life. Through close reading
and analyzing the poems, writers attempt to use different way to express the horrors of war and anti
war motivation.
Statement: Warn about the Horrors of War
In peacetime, people may ask question : what could the war bring to the people? Wilfred Owen and
Yehuda Amichai indirectly answer this question with their poems that most of the war could bring to

Both psychic trauma and actual trauma have a huge and long impact on people. These poems
construct a platform that people whether in peace or not could feel the life is how vulnerable in the
war and the damage will last for generations. Writers use their works to warn about the horrors of war.

Case 8.1: The (Mis) Behavior of Successful CEOs Leads to Their
Departures
Wilfredo C. Ilagan
Everest University Online
Abstract
This paper is an analysis of a real world case as it relates to the learning about managing misbehavior.
The Case 8.1, The (Mis) Behavior of Successful CEOs Leads to Their Departures, requires answers to
the following questions: To what degree do you believe the behaviors of the featured CEOs
constituted misbehavior and that reactions of the boards were correct? (Ivancevich, J.M., Konopaske,
R., Matteson, M.T., 2014). If you were on a board of directors, what factors would you consider in the

He deliberately used the company s funds to afford that affair and this should not be the character of a
true and ethical leader. It was just fair for the board to find another reason, other than sexual
harassment, to force him to resign.
Brian Dunn This CEO agreed to resign amid investigation into his personal conduct (Bustillo, 2012).
A probe was made by the board into his conduct as a married man accused of having an inappropriate
relationship with a 29 year old female associate (Ivancevich, et al, 2014). This affair did not only show
poor judgment on his part but as well as impacting negatively the work environment of Best Buy. It
was just appropriate for the board to let him go.
The common denominator among these great and very capable CEOs is a woman. Just like President
Bill Clinton s much publicized, I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky
(Steven Nelson, 2013) affair and the recent CIA Director David Petraeus s resignation after his
confession of an extramarital affair, these CEOs succumbed to that saying, For every man s victory or
defeat, a woman is behind . It can be argued that this is a normal behavior or a typical pitfall for
ordinary men to fall in love with another woman. The huge difference is that the position

Ethical Issues In A Hospital
For this assignment, I spent time volunteering at Mercy Downtown, helping at the main information
desk. While I was there, I assisted visitors in finding patients by looking up their room number,
directed patients and visitors to the correct area of the hospital, and delivered flowers to rooms that
had been dropped off. A paid employee also accompanied me while there, as volunteers are not
allowed to actually look up patient information via the online portal, but I could call a different help
desks within the hospital to ask other paid employees to look patients up for me if needed. The
experience made me realize that there are so many little unthought of components to making a
hospital as big as Mercy be efficient for everyone. The information ... Show more content on

I have learned that no matter how many times people tell me not to judge a person by their
appearance, I have grown up in a world where we still do it daily regardless of how hard we try not to.
I go back and forth thinking about whether it s right or wrong to so openly give out patient room
numbers but in the end, I think it s really only fair to do so. I think there could be changes, if possible
phone up to a room and ask the patient if they know so and so, and if they want them to come to their
room. Another option might be calling the nurses station or something on the floor, but I can only
imagine how crazy that would drive employees who are trying to do their jobs. I can guess that most
health care related organizations come across many situations and circumstances that could sway
between ethical and unethical, and the decision about what to do is probably very difficult. It has been
made very clear to me now, as to why hospitals have boards of directors with members from different
backgrounds, so that there is really someone pulling from every angle to try and think about all the
options to help make a sound

Performance-enhancing Drugs and Athletes
With the change of rules in sports throughout the many centuaries, the most advance form of
improving the ability of athletes is known as doping. Doping are performance enhancing drugs which
are used in sports. The uses of these drugs are considered to be unethical as it gives competitors an
unfair advantage. Sports is seen as an activity based on full ethics and complete discipline.
With the invention of performance enhancing drugs in sports, it gives athletes a greater opportunity of
cheating. There are many different types of drugs however the most common ones that are used
include Steroids, Amphetamines, Stimulants, Peptide Hormones, Human Growth Hormone and
Insulin. Steroids and performance enhancing drugs increase the amount of testosterone in the body.
This allows the body to develop a greater muscle growth and increase body mass. These drugs are
available in the form of pills or it can be injected as Anabolic steroids serve as a supplement when
entered in the body.
Athletes use steroids in order to be the best and remain as the best. Sports is a competitive game in
which athletes feel obliged to win and strive to become better than others. Although the improvement
of sports has increased greatly, there are rules and regulations that must be followed. Sports include
the protection of the health and safety of the athletes. It also includes the respect for medical and sport
ethics. With unfair advantages due to medical conditions, it does not ensure an equal chance for

The Idea Of Natural Selection
The idea of anthropocentrism provides comfort to humans. It posits that in this messy,
incomprehensible world, we are still the central species. This idea allows, and even encourages,
humans to view the world through a very anthropological lens and assume that, because we are the
dominant and most important species, nature works in human terms and is the domain of man. The
idea of creationism is very anthropocentric itself. In the Hebrew Bible, man was created before all
other animals and designed in God s image. He was given domain over nature by God as well. This
idea of human supremacy and exceptionalism has persisted into modernity, but the advent of Darwin s
evolutionary theory altered human s perception of themselves and the natural world.
The typical belief in human dominance was shaken through Darwin s idea of natural selection and
evolution which posited that humans, just as all other species descended from some one prototype
(484). The descendants of this one prototype evolved based on natural selection. Evolution led to the
creation of all organisms, living and extinct, including humans. The theory of evolution challenged the
ideas of human exceptionalism and anthropocentrism by including humans in the same category as all
other organisms, organisms that we as humans feel superior to. In evolutionary theory, humans
become simply another species that managed to survive the struggle for existence rather than a master
of nature created in the image of

Weight Watchers: Background and Effectiveness among Individuals Participating in the Program
Weight Watchers is a program diet founded by Jean Nidetch in the early 60 s in Queens, NY (Weight
Watchers 2017). Weight Watchers is a popular diet program that was created to help individuals lose
unwanted weight and develop a healthier lifestyle while maintaining a flexible food menu and
exercise plan. Weight Watchers is also a unique weight loss program because they offer different
opportunities for participants to meet with a group of like members who are also in the program in
locations near them. Jean Nidetch founded Weight Watchers in her living room when she was
discussing her struggles with weight loss with her friends and decided to make different lifestyle
choices to help her shed the weight that she did not want (Weight Watchers 2017). Nidetch began a
business administration course at City college of New York briefly before her father passed, which
caused her to drop out of school to find an occupation. She worked in different small stores and
companies before she was able to create Weight Watchers where her success began. An interesting
factor of the creation of the Weight Watchers program is the lack of credentials that Nidetch had to
develop a diet plan that many others would begin to participate in. Although Nidetch did not have an
educated background of nutrition, she was able to create a diet program where individuals are able to

The United States only honors two men with federal holidays bearing their names, Martin Luther King

spark a holocaust situation of the people of America and the Atlantic slave trade. Furthermore,
Columbus never set foot on the land we call the United States, nor was the first explorer to reach the

In making this comment, UNESCO is also agreeing that the Atlantic slave trade was so cruel that they
were killing the Natives with their cruelty even before they became slaves. In conclusion, the Atlantic
slave trade was so intense that the Natives, Africans and people from the Caribbean islands were
affected.
Next, the Europeans soon developed a strong demand for gold in their economy (UNESCO). Which
made them more destructive and violent towards the Natives. First off, some spaniards use their
matureness as an advantage for the Natives to give them whatever they want. In this case, gold or
religion. Some spaniards have no more consideration for them than beasts ((Bartolome de Las
Casas).Bartolome de Las Casas is saying that the spaniards are getting really greedy for getting
something they crave. Furthermore, they re getting more violent once they realize what the Indians
have. According to Bartolome de Las Casas, their reason for killing and destroying such an infinite
number of souls is that the Christians have an ultimate aim, which is to acquire gold, and to swell
themselves with riches... (Bartolome de Las Casas). The Europeans don t deserve any special
celebration since they already got their respect from any Indians since they willingly suffered and
gave up gold. To sum up, the Europeans are being greedy and spending out all their savings isn t a
good idea because the only thing that comes out with being

about their way of life. He wanted to know everything they knew about European politics, religion,

people began to explore the world and enlighten others on how other cultures live. Kahn allowed his

probably knew that allowing different religions gave his people more knowledge of other cultures. His
society was moving with the times. The country not being under one influence represented how the

How Does Prospero Change In The Tempest
In Shakespeare s play, The Tempest , Prospero, the main character, is the rightful Duke of Milan. He
found refuge on a distant island after his brother, Antonio, seized Prospero s title and homeland. These
events and experiences of being exiled advance character to become isolated and enriched at the same
time. As a comic hero, Prospero start off as being frustrated and vengeful due to his separation from
his title and homeland, but is later refined due to those experiences.
Antonio s dethroning of Prospero is not only the reason why Prospero is alienated but it also is a great
example about the theme of betrayal that is prominent in the book. Antonio s betrayal in particular,

Prospero s intentions throughout the play was to seek out vengeance towards his brother and all those
who helped him in his betrayal. Through the work of Ariel, Prospero was able to capture those he
shipwrecked but decides to forgive them. He also forgives Caliban after plotting to kill him while
serving another master, these acts of change are key to the improvement and empowerment Prospero
learns after being on the island. The is a growth and arch shown about the character as he states, The
rarer action is in virtue than in vengeance. Prospero also shows enrichment of character when he sets
Ariel free after commanding him to make smooth sailing upon the return to Naples and Milan,
contrasting to the beginning of the play when Prospero seems ungrateful about the service of Ariel.
The problem Prospero had that paved the way to him being exiled, was his obsession with studying
his art/magic. It is through his experience on the island where he finally comes to realize that the
source and self improvement that he needed to make was giving up his magic. This is symbolized by
the throwing away of his books and his plea to the audience to release him from his bands . By giving
up his magic, the reason he couldn t be an affective Duke, shows how his alienation on the island

What are the prevention techniques our state is investing in? What can we do to try and prevent

virus throughout the world and teaching local healthcare providers how to detect case of the Zika
virus. They are also providing support for local hospital laboratories to provide testing if the hospital

practice safe sex for a while after returning from those trips because it is suspected that Zika can be

Written in England, around 1610 1611, William Shakespeare created the romance play titled The
Tempest. This piece of literature is set entirely on an unnamed island in the Mediterranean Sea during

Prospero, the duke of Milan, and his infant daughter were exiled from Milan, put on a ship, and left to

The Security Strategy of the United States has marked similarities and differences to the Security
Strategy of Europe. This can be effectively traced to the similarities and differences between the two
cultures themselves, particularly in the cultural factors of religion, modernization,
ethnicity/nationalism, and geography. The US and Europe have different responses to the

The European document, on the other hand, openly and repeatedly calls for Unification and
Cooperation (European Security Strategy, 2003, 1 8). The United States can draw from European
religious history and ethnic origin, which gives it some cultural similarities. At the same time, the birth
of our nation was so much more recent, and so dramatically different from the beginning of European
history, that it s no wonder there are fundamental differences in culture. Even before the Declaration
of Independence ( God and truth referenced) or the US Constitution were drafted ( freedom of religion
), early America was rooted in Christianity. The first Pilgrims fled religious persecution in Europe.
Christian doctrine has been quoted in speeches given by American leaders from the beginning

Research Paper On Halo Effect
How Does Halo Effect Influence Our Daily Lives?
Halo effect is one of the cognitive bias. According to Edward Thorndike, the first psychologist to
introduce the idea of halo effect, the word halo is used in metaphor with the concept of religious. The
observer may be subject to overestimating the worth of the observed by the presence of a quality that
adds light on the whole like a halo. Essentially, our overall impression of a person influences our
evaluations of his or her specific traits. Although this theory is one of the oldest psychological
phenomena, surprisingly it is still involved in our lives.

The idea of halo effect only refers to people composed by Edward Thorndike originally. Nevertheless,
the use of this idea has been greatly expanded especially the businesses marketing. Companies are

The Effects Of Climatic Factors For Mean Air Climate
Climate change will affect the regional ETref trend. To explore quantify the effects of climatic factors
on ETref, sensitivity coefficients for mean air temperature (S(TA)), relative humidity (S(RH)), wind
speed (S(WS)), and solar radiation (S(SR)) in each time period of HRB are shown were listed in Table
3. The results revealed that ETref was most sensitive to change of RH, followed by SR, TA and WS.
Meanwhile, the value of sensitivity coefficient of WS was lower than that of the other climatic factors,
which suggests that ETref had low sensitivity to change of WS. For the entire HRB, the negative
sensitivity coefficient was detected for RH that was negatively correlated to the ETref , while the
positive values were identified for TA, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

This case study illustrates the conflict between patent protection and preserving a pure competitive
market. Pharmaceutical companies are granted patent rights to newly developed drugs for a limited

parent company can move to delay the release of its generic comparison through legal and illegal

Sherman s strategy
Bristol Myers Squibb s deceptive practices were likely to catch up to them. This occurred when they
crossed paths with Sherman who led Apotex at the time. After everything settled Sherman
acknowledged in an interview that he knew the FTC would reject the proposed agreements made by
Bristol Myers Squibb and Sanofi. He also recognized that their spokesman didn t realize his offer
would cause adverse action against Bristol Myers Squibb (Baron, 2010). He played to their ignorance
and entered the agreement. There is no direct answer to the ethics of Sherman s strategy. He did not
actively participate or even condone Brisol Myers Squibb s collusion; in fact he knew the agreement
would be rejected. There is no way of truly knowing whether Sherman acted with malice when
implementing his strategy.
Should the FTC and the state attorneys general have rejected the agreements? The FTC and state
attorney was right in rejecting Brisol Myers Squibb s proposed agreements on the grounds that it is an
anti competitive practice. The second agreement would have been rejected as well provided Bristol
Myers Squibb was completely honest with the FTC. Upon submission of the second agreement to the
department of justice they affirmed under oath that all agreements were as listed on the document with

Different Types of Love in Midsummer Night’s Dream
Different Types of Love in Midsummer Night s Dream
Love and lovers, both can be described as many different things. William Shakespeare shows us this in
his play, A Midsummer Night s Dream. In this play we see all types of love, from passionate love to
foolish love. Along with this we also see different types of lovers and pairs. Examples of these lovers
come from pairs like, Hermia and Lysander, Demetrius and Helena, Titana and Bottom, and Oberon
and Titana. It seems that in A Midsummer Night s Dream, Shakespeare shows different types of love
and lovers.
One love that Shakespeare shows in Midsummer is passion. Passion is a burning emotion, a strong

With these features she Helena says that she would attract Demetrius and except him, unlike Hermia
who wishes him away. She asks Hermia to teach her the art of her beauty and win the affection of

is spelled, and falls for Helena. While under a spell, Lysander tells Hermia:
Ay, by my life
And never did desire to see thee more.
Therefore be out of hope, of question, of doubt:
Be certain. Nothing truer. `Tis no jest
That I do hate thee and love Helena (3.2.277 281)
In these lines Lysander tells Hermia that, never did he desire to be with someone more. He also tells
her to not question or doubt, but to be certain that he hates her and loves Helena. With Hermia
shocked and heartbroken she shows her confusion and jealously to Helena. He states, O me! You
juggler, you canker blossom, / You thief of love! What, have you come by night/ And stol n my love s
heart from him? (3.2.282). In these lines Hermia is telling Helena that she is a trickster/cheater, and a
love thief. She also asks what have Helena done to steal Lysander s love from her. Although all of
these Characters show acts of Jealously, They find happiness in the end.
A third love Shakespeare shows in Midsummer Night s Dream is blind love. Blind love is love which

Tb Vaccine Essay
Treatments
There is a TB vaccine (bacilli calmette guerin, or BCG) that is used in many countries to prevent TB.
BCG is almost never used in the U.S., since the risk of getting TB is low. The vaccine is not very
effective in adults and can cause a false positive tuberculin skin test, making it very difficult to use the
tuberculin skin test to check people for TB. The vaccine is recommended for infants in parts of the
world where TB is common.
Treatment for TB is often a success, but it is a long process. It usually takes 6 to 9 months to treat TB.
In some cases, it can take up to 2 years. Active TB is treated with a combination of antibiotics
typically prescribed for 6 months; if, at that point, the TB is still active, the treatment is extended for a
period consisting of two to three months to a full year of treatment. If the TB bacteria are resistant to
the most commonly prescribed antibiotics known as multidrug resistant TB, then treatment may be

with having multiple partners, while Nel thought of sex as a precious thing that she shared with her

The Role Of Director Of The New Zealand Aid Programme Essay
I write to you in the hopes you will consider my application for the role of the Director of the New
Zealand Aid Programme (NZAP).
Studying the inconsistent implementation of past aid policies, I will use the Pacific to outline my
vision for the direction of future aid administration. Guided by the principle purpose of New Zealand s
first independent aid organisation, NZAID, and in keeping with international aid trends, my vision for
NZAP would work towards one clear goal: the elimination of poverty.
New Zealand aid policies have been reorganised over the past few decades, influenced by both
international practices and domestic politics. Effected in the years following World War II as many
Pacific nations gained independence, early aid approaches aligned with global development policies
and bilateral structures proposed by the Colombo Plan (Banks et al., 2012). New Zealand aid
provision increased through the 1970s, before dropping rapidly between the 1980s and 1990s with the
adoption of neoliberal policies, deviating to focus on the implementation of the Millennium
Development Goals (MDGs) in the 2000s (Banks et al., 2012). Helen Clark s reigning Labour
Government, established NZAID in 2002, adopting policies which sought to rectify the damage
wrought during the lost decade when National s neoliberal policies saw the introduction of Structural
Adjustment Policies (SAPs) and drastic reduction of New Zealand s Official Development Assistance
(ODA) (Banks et al., 2012;

How Does Shakespeare Use Gender Reversal In King Lear
Throughout history, society has always looked at itself with certain stereotypes in mind, which
encompass the behavior of classes, roles assumed by genders, or expectations of children. The motif
of role reversal exhibits prevalence in Shakespeare s King Lear. Shakespeare explores this motif to
discuss transformations in class, gender, and parent child relationships. The transformation in the
character of Lear can be traced from his position a king through his downward spiral into madness.
Using this degradation of position in society, Shakespeare establishes the context for both the main
plot and subplot. Initially, Lear overexerts his power as the King. Shakespeare demonstrates Lear s
abuse of power through the banishment of Kent and disinheritance ... Show more content on

The play begins with the reversal of stereotypical gender roles. Shakespeare portrays this reversal
initially through how Lear relinquishes his power and apportions it between his two daughters. In the
time period, it was uncommon for a king to step down prior to his death, even more so to his
daughters. Shakespeare uses this gender reversal for plot construction by initiating the class reversal,
and character development by unveiling Goneril s and Regan s true personalities. Shakespeare also
reverses the gender roles within a marriage. In Albany s marriage with Goneril, Albany does nothing
to prevent Goneril s actions. For the time period, a husband ignoring the actions of his wife was very
uncommon as women possessed less freedom than how Shakespeare portrays it. However,
Shakespeare reverses these initially reverse gender roles through Albany s abnegation of her actions.
Albany s line in 5.3 clearly demonstrates his rejection. Most monstrous! O! King Lear (5.3.191) This
rejection sets Albany apart from Cornwall, who does nothing to prevent his wife from committing evil
deeds. Shakespeare demonstrates this difference through the difference in their deaths; Albany doesn t

Bully In Tangerine By Edward Bloor
In 2015, about one out of every four students (22%) reported being bullied during the school year.
Tangerine is a book written by Edward Bloor. The story is about Paul Fisher, the protagonist, who got
blinded by his brother Erik, the antagonist, this all occurred when Paul was in kindergarten and his
brother was in fifth grade. Paul s life is a lie and he finally realizes that his parents have been keeping
this secret from him ever since so that he would not hate his brother, but because of this secret Paul
lived his life hating himself for thinking he was stupid when it was not his fault. Erik Fisher is a
grievous character because he is selfish, violent, and finally because he is a bully. Erik is selfish

Erik is a bully in multiple ways. One example is when he makes a joke about Joey and says I wonder
if he got his money back for those shoes. Joey had no idea what he meant but Paul did. He s also a
bully to his friends by acting all good then having his friends do all the work, then get in trouble. It s

his friends then hurting him, like when Erik and Castor blinded him with the spray paint. Selfishness,
violence, and bullying, are all reasons why Erik is an atrocious character. If you follow Erik s path you
will be in great jeopardy, but if you stay on the good side and tell the truth you future will be

How The Gospel of Luke Portrays A Model Of Social Justice...
Luke s Gospel is a portrayal of Jesus as a model of social justice. Hence, the reader is empowered and
influenced by the Gospel to be actively involved in social justice issues. The Catholic Church has
sought to reach out to those in need, and Luke s Gospel demonstrates this through injustices that Jesus
challenged. In addition, mental illness, which is a current social justice issue reflects and appeals to
problems that Jesus faced and reacted to in his time.
Luke s Gospel greatly emphasizes the social justice aspect of Christian living. Throughout the third
book in the New Testament, the story and history of Jesus Christ is written, and Luke preserves the

The Catechism shows that;
Society ensures social justice by providing the conditions that allow associations and individuals to
obtain their due. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1928).
In other words, social justice is linked to the common good and exercise of authority.
The life and teachings of Jesus Christ call us to work for justice, peace and human rights. In the
Gospel of Luke, Jesus describes this mission in the following way:
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
Because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To let the oppressed go free,
To proclaim the year of the Lord s favour. (Luke 4: 18 19)
As a result, the work for social justice is an integral mission of the Church. Catholics are inspired and
sustained through work for a just society.
Social Justice also comes with an understanding of respect for the human person.
Respect for the human person proceeds by way of respect for the principle that everyone should look
upon his neighbour as another self, above all bearing in mind his life and the means necessary for
living it with dignity. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1931).
Catholics conduct acts of social justice out of the Church s teachings that people are;
Created in the image of the one God and equally endowed with rational souls, all men have the same
nature and the same origin. Redeemed by the sacrifice of Christ,

Fracking Environmental Issues
Considering my major is environmental studies I have chosen to focus this week s journal entry on
threatening environmental issues. My first issue surrounds the water crisis in California and the
second I ll be focusing on the controversial issue of fracking.
The drought in California has presented some controversial and difficult issues for the residents of the
state. Due to the lack of rain and fresh water the state has began, with no regulation, pumping
irreplaceable groundwater to aid the drought. This is an out of sight crisis considering it is invisible in
the average persons life. Furthermore, as long as residents are continuing to have access to water in
their homes and work places the crisis is largely out of sight out of mind. However, ... Show more

Fracking is also referred as hydraulic fracturing in which rock is fractured by a pressurized liquid to
further create cracks and openings underground to extract more free flowing components such as
natural gas, petroleum, and brine. Millions of frac jobs have been performed on oil and gas wells
worldwide to further extract more shale gas, tight gas, tight oil and coral seam gas. This highly
controversial issue of greed and depletion of deeply bounded fossil fuels is extremely important. The
argumentative basis of this matter is between those whom benefit and have more readily available
accessible hydrocarbons and the people who are aware of the potential hazardous environmental
effects. Hydraulic fracturing greatly threatens the risk of ground and surface water contamination, air
pollution, noise pollution, and the consequential triggering of earth quakes and hazardous long term
effects that are unknown. This is highly controversial considering the industry that is already in power
of fossil fuel extraction is highly powerful and ran by both government powers and mass corporate
powers with much control on those who regulate. I am on the opposing side of the fossil greedy
powerful organizations who push for fracking and believe that there are surely alternative solutions. I
am personally interested in the issue of fracking because I know how important and vital clean ground
and surface water are for human survival and also because I am terrified of the technology mankind
has came to power over that in which threatens and potentially could trigger disasters that we have no
control over such as earthquakes and sinking of the land. There are many issues amongst my major
that I cold have focused on but I believe in this current day the largest problems surround the ever so
greedy and extreme measures mankind will take to have power over natural resources,

Comparing The Charge of the Light Brigade and Dulce ET Decorum EST
The poems The Charge of the Light Brigade and Dulce ET Decorum EST are war poems. They reflect
on two different but equally harrowing events, however the poets portray these events using their own
style and the and result is two entirely different views of war.
Alfred Tennyson wrote the Charge of the Light Brigade in 1854 and it is about the battle of Balaclava
in the Crimean war. Although this battle had no real influence on the outcome of the war it showed the
bravery of six hundred British soldiers who charged into almost certain death. The poem itself is a

On the other hand however he can also speed up the poem Storm d at with shot and shell, While horse

Owen s use of punctuation to convey a mood is depicted here His hanging face, like a devils sick of
sin; If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood come gargling from the froth corrupted lungs .
Although there are many similarities between the poems if you were to read them each shows an
entirely different aspect of war. Tennyson glamorises the war. His views of the war are very positive
and he sees it as an opportunity for a man to prove himself. He speaks of the qualities of these men, of
their bravery. They are charging in to almost certain death but yet they still follow orders and fight on
in the valley of death . He doesn t speak of the fact that this was a huge mistake by the general to send
his men into almost certain death. He reflects the popular and widespread opinion of the time, which
was that war was a great thing and all young men looked forward to being able to serve and die for
their country. The main reason for this belief was that there hadn t been a major war fought in Britain
for the past two hundred or so years and people didn t realise the horrors that war brought. Tennyson s
poem has none of the gory details of Dulce ET Decorum EST . Tennyson s poem is removed from the

allow law enforcement officers, or in some cases family members, to petition the court to temporarily
seize firearms from someone believed to pose a threat to themselves or others. The New York Times
reports: The measures, known as red flag laws or extreme risk protection orders, have shown evidence
of reducing suicides in Connecticut, where the first such law was passed in 1999, and in recent years
have also been passed in California, Washington and Oregon. Eighteen states, including Florida, and
the District of Columbia are considering such laws this year, according to a list compiled by

Slave Women in Harriet Jacobs Incidents in the Life of a...
Slave Women in Harriet Jacobs Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl and Toni Morrison s Beloved
Slavery was a horrible institution that dehumanized a race of people. Female slave bondage was
different from that of men. It wasn t less severe, but it was different. The sexual abuse, child bearing,
and child care responsibilities affected the females s pattern of resistance and how they conducted
their lives. Harriet Jacobs Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, demonstrates the different role that
women slaves had and the struggles that were caused from having to cope with sexual abuse.
Growing up as a slave Jacobs was constantly exposed to sexual abuse from her master. She was forced
to learn what it meant to be a slave that was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When she wanted to escape into freedom, her bonds to her children were so great that it was hard for
her to leave them. Jacobs couldn t stand the suppression and constant abuse of her master. She couldn
t leave her children. Her grandmother told her, Stand by your children, and suffer with them till death.
Nobody respects a mother who forsakes her children: and if you leave them, you will never have a
happy moment. (Jacobs, 417)
The slave women s choices in life were not limited to her happiness, but she had to think about her
children. A mother had different responsibilities that she had to deal with. By having to deal with
sexual abuse and thinking about children women were less able to leave their chains and people
behind. According to Deborah Gray White in Aren t I a Women? , ...for those fugitive women who left
children in slavery, the physical relief which freedom brought was limited compensation for the
anguish they suffered. (White.62) Recent DNA test results that have concluded that the Nation s third
president, Thomas Jefferson fathered at least one child, Eston Hemings, with his slave, Sally Hemings.
The study has shed new light on the aged debate, forcing society and historians to recognize what had
previously been ignored. Although America is obsessed with race, our society does not recognize the
central role slavery has played in the nation s development. The continued and persistent effort to

There is a disagreement between two parties at Bainbridge Borough. The employee (Carol Fern) has
been employed with the company for 18 years as a tax clerk. Carol and her spouse decided to adopt a
child after finding out that she couldn t naturally give birth to a child. An agency informed the Ferns
on April 22 that a 3 month old baby girl would be available for adoption in three days. Since it was
such short notice, the adoption was postponed until May 2. The company granted Carol s request for
two weeks paid vacation for the dates of May 2 to May 17. Before Carol returned to work from the
paid vacation, she put in another request for 6 months of unpaid maternity leave, of course this had to
be approved by the Council. However, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to the collective bargaining agreement, Mrs. Fern is entitled to maternity leave. Despite
some of the policies with Bainbridge Borough, there is pertinent information in the contract that does
not restrict maternity leave to employees who become pregnant. Some of the policies have listed
childbirth leave, which is not found in the contract. I made my ruling based on this the term maternity
is not limited to mean only giving birth to a child. Raising a child is including in the term maternity. In
raising a child, the adoption of a child requires the same attention as baby to its birth mother. The early
stage of child rearing of an adopted child is just as important to form a bond for both the baby and
adopted mother. My ruling in the request for grievance for Carol Fern will be awarded effective May

What Are Beyonce s Accomplishments
Beyoncé also known as the queen of pop received many awards some being Grammy awards and
MTV video music award due to her amazing talents. Those were just 2 of the awards she has received (
Waters 58).Beyoncé was born on September 4,1981 Houston,Texas(Waters 19).Her fame has
expanded worldwide because of her talent and entertaining skills that is not all she has accomplished
she has also won many award and inspired many people. Beyoncé grew up in Houston,Texas with her
parents Tina and Mathew Knowles. As soon as Beyoncé became famous the rumor quickly started. It
was rumored that she was pregnant many times and in my opinion it must have been hard to have to
confront those rumors. Her father, Matthew Knowles, served as the band s manager (Biography.com).I
believe she was inspired by her father because he was a big part of her success in the music industry.I
say this because he managed Destiny s Child which was how Beyoncé and some other amazing singer
were brought into the music industry.People wanna be like Beyoncé because she is very successful
and talented. Beyoncé ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Resonance
Advantages:
Harmonic reduction is possible.
Undesirable harmonics are absent.
Reactive power compensation is possible.
Disadvantages:
Resonance with line impedance occurs.
Tuning frequency is less accurate and requires a lot of calculations.
It cannot be used when harmonic components vary randomly.
Heavy and bulky.
3.1.2 Active Filters: It inject equal and opposite harmonics onto the power system to cancel those
generated by other equipment. Remarkable advances in the field of power electronics had sparked
interest in APF for harmonic distortion mitigation. The basic technology of APF is to use power
electronics technologies to produce the harmonic current components such that the source will supply

APF is basically of two types. They are (i) Shunt APF (ii) Series APF
(i) Shunt APF
This type of configuration is widely used in active filtering applications. A shunt APF has a
controllable voltage or current source. Fig. 3.4 demonstrates principal configuration of a voltage
source inverter based APF which the most common type of shunt APF today. It is based on the
principle of injection of harmonic current equivalent to the distorted current waveform, thus
eliminating the original distorted current. This is connected in shunt with the distribution line through
an interfacing inductor. Fig. 3.4: Basic configuration of Shunt APF
(ii) Series APF
Basic principle of this type of configuration is isolation of harmonics in between nonlinear load and
source. The basic configuration is similar with shunt APF, except that interfacing inductor is replaced
by an interfacing transformer, where the injection of harmonic voltage occurs. It is otherwise known
as a harmonic isolator, which offers zero impedance to the fundamental and infinite impedance to the
harmonic frequency components. Fig. 3.5 demonstrates the basic configuration of a series APF. Series
APF is suitable for improving the quality of the distribution source

I Have Chosen The City Of Vaughan
I have chosen the city of Vaughan, ON, to be a potential area that I would like to see my future
practice dwell in. I have lived here for over 20 years and truly enjoy everything the city has to offer.
The population of Vaughan has grown by over 184% since 1991 and continues to grow on a yearly
basis. It is open to a majority of cultures but the most prevalent culture being the Italian population.
Key Factors:
Italian population o One of the reasons I chose to research Vaughan, ON as a potential destination to
practice, was because of the fact that many Italians reside in the town. Coming from an Italian family
myself, having an Italian name and speaking Italian will potentially give me an advantage over the
other chiropractors in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I can get into contact with the local politicians and try to promote my practice through them. For the
younger population, I want to attend local gyms where I can promote health and wellness. By having
the advantage of living in Vaughan for over 20 years, I know where all the local hot spots are located,
I know where to go in order target certain groups and most importantly, I am known all around the
city, either by working various part time jobs or by volunteering with certain charitable organizations.
I look forward to the opportunity of graduating and getting my name out there even more.
High household income o Due to the fact that the average household income in Vaughan, ON is the
highest in the province, this will translate into more expensive leases and higher overall property tax,
which will ultimately have an impact on my practice. However, this also means that I could charge
higher rates and stay competitive with the surrounding clinics.
1.7 Services, products and pricing
Diversified chiropractic treatment o Using high velocity, low amplitude thrusts of different variations
in order to treat the affected area. o Many chiropractors in Vaughan continue to use the subluxation
model of care. This will provide us with an advantage in order to target individuals wanting
diversified treatment. To further differentiate ourselves, treatment could be provided in Italian
language if the patients prefer in order to enhance the patient doctor relationship

In this movie, Andrea, a fresh graduate has grand visions of a life in journalism took on a secretary job

Andrea is under high pressure to swiftly learn Miranda s preferences and behaviors to facilitate the
smooth running of their business, in addition, to meeting her expectations. Basically, being at Miranda

How Did Hippocrates Change The World
Hippocrates was a doctor who changed the world with his ideas. He is the father of modern medicine.
and is responsible for our modern day health treatment. He changed the idea of where diseases come
from, changed the use of the scientific method, and also had the idea of practical medical practices. To
start off Hippocrates came up with the idea of where modern medicine comes from. The passage states
He was the first to trace disease to a natural and understandable cause, and to recognize nature as all
sufficient for healing, and physicians as her only servant. I think what the author means by this is that
he basically had the idea that all remedies didn t have to come from the supernatural but in fact they

The Cruel Caricature Of Billy Budd
There is a trend in modern media criticism to scrutinize the leads of a romance and highlighting the
behaviors that could be interpreted as malicious. Rarely do these critics examine their own past
courting behavior, because if they had, surely they would see how even the most rational minds are
frayed when under the spell of infatuation. This is parallel to how the narrator of Billy Budd, Sailor
views the behavior of the character Master at Arms, John Claggart. Through many a biblical reference
and serpentine comparisons, the narrator of Billy Budd paints a vile portrait of the Master at Arms. Yet
when closely examining the text, the foul caricature of John Claggart is nowhere to be found. What is
present, is a man in love, who knows the consequences ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It thrives in the characters as well, as even though Claggart is transparent in his affections for Billy, he
too must hide this aspect of himself, and the sorrow it brings him is just the beginning of Claggart s
tragic attraction to Billy. In his short essay on Billy Budd, Albert S. Braverman notes how many
hypothesize that Claggart s plot against Billy was due to his feelings towards him. He then remarks
that an overt attempt to seduce Billy might well have the same outcome (Braverman Pg.1). If Billy
Budd is a tragedy than Claggart s attraction to Billy is his fatal flaw. For Claggart there is no way to
dodge the consequences of his sexuality. Either action spells out the end for he and Billy. This still
assume malicious intent from Claggart, but when looking at the text there are a few key moments
which frame Claggart s plot in a different way. But, at heart and not for nothing, as the late chance
encounter may indicate to the discerning, down on him, secretly down on him, he assuredly was (Pg.
82). Once again the narration betrays itself and ends up revealing more of Claggart s sympathetic
traits. The late chance encounter along with the phase secretly down on him suggest that one of the
many blockades between Claggart and Billy, is that Claggart is tired of hiding his sexuality. If
Claggart had met Billy as a younger man, he may have been willing to risk pursing Billy, but as the
late indicates Claggart no

The Polygraph In The Truth Machine
In The Truth Machine, a science fiction novel published in 1996 and written by James Halperin, some
scientists invent a machine that can detect lies perfectly. As a results, it stops crime, changes the world
system, and saves humanity from self destruction. Could humanity ever build a similar device? And if
we cannot why do we keep using the polygraph tests. For almost a century, the polygraph has been
one of the closest device from a lie detector used for criminal investigations. Many in the scientific
and legal fields do not rely on it, because of its versatile accuracy. Moreover, as the psychologist
Leonard Saxe, PhD, (1991) has stated: The idea that we can detect a person s veracity by monitoring
psycho physiological changes is more myth than reality. Even the term lie detector, used to refer ...

Several studies have showed that some parts of the brain are more active when people tell lies rather
than truths, such areas at the very front of our brain. As a result, while abandoning the polygraph,
some scientists have accepted brain scanners, using two methods. The first one uses electronic sensors
to measure brainwave , called P300, appearing when we see something familiar. Through this signal it
is possible to determine if someone is hiding something that they know about, like a murder weapon.
The second technique is called, the Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (FMRI); Showing the
location of active neurons, by tracking the blood flow that provides nutrients and oxygen. However,
there is no Centre of dishonesty in the human s brain. Those neurons can even be more active when
someone is telling the truth, or when they are trying to decide whether to be honest or not. However,
these techniques can detect lies up 78 to 85% of the time, which shows that we making good

According to the Salem Press Encyclopedia, reproductive rights provide individuals with the freedom to make sexual and reproductive decisions (Caffrey, 2014). Reproductive rights provide both men and women the opportunity to seek reproductive healthcare and education. Additionally, these rights are designed to provide individuals and couples with the opportunity to decide whether or not they would like to have children throughout their lives. Some services available to these individuals are the right to birth control and other contraceptive options, abortion, sexually transmitted disease testing, and much more. Although reproductive rights do aide to include the rights of men and women, this paper will focus specifically on the reproductive rights of girls and women. Studies show there is an importance around the idea of girls and women being able to have control of their own bodies. Why Are Reproductive Rights Important? In general, reproductive rights are important to the individual as well as to our society. Reproductive rights are important because they promote a sense of equality and personal freedom. They provide individuals with right to a safe, responsible, and satisfying sex life. • 4. Misbehavior of Ceos MAN 5266 1 Management of Professionals Week 05 Case 8.1: The (Mis) Behavior of Successful CEOs Leads to Their Departures Wilfredo C. Ilagan Everest University Online Abstract This paper is an analysis of a real world case as it relates to the learning about managing misbehavior. The Case 8.1, The (Mis) Behavior of Successful CEOs Leads to Their Departures, requires answers to the following questions: To what degree do you believe the behaviors of the featured CEOs constituted misbehavior and that reactions of the boards were correct? (Ivancevich, J.M., Konopaske, R., Matteson, M.T., 2014). If you were on a board of directors, what factors would you consider in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He deliberately used the company s funds to afford that affair and this should not be the character of a true and ethical leader. It was just fair for the board to find another reason, other than sexual harassment, to force him to resign. Brian Dunn This CEO agreed to resign amid investigation into his personal conduct (Bustillo, 2012). A probe was made by the board into his conduct as a married man accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 29 year old female associate (Ivancevich, et al, 2014). This affair did not only show poor judgment on his part but as well as impacting negatively the work environment of Best Buy. It was just appropriate for the board to let him go. The common denominator among these great and very capable CEOs is a woman. Just like President Bill Clinton s much publicized, I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky (Steven Nelson, 2013) affair and the recent CIA Director David Petraeus s resignation after his confession of an extramarital affair, these CEOs succumbed to that saying, For every man s victory or defeat, a woman is behind . It can be argued that this is a normal behavior or a typical pitfall for ordinary men to fall in love with another woman. The huge difference is that the position

  • 6. Ethical Issues In A Hospital For this assignment, I spent time volunteering at Mercy Downtown, helping at the main information desk. While I was there, I assisted visitors in finding patients by looking up their room number, directed patients and visitors to the correct area of the hospital, and delivered flowers to rooms that had been dropped off. A paid employee also accompanied me while there, as volunteers are not allowed to actually look up patient information via the online portal, but I could call a different help desks within the hospital to ask other paid employees to look patients up for me if needed. The experience made me realize that there are so many little unthought of components to making a hospital as big as Mercy be efficient for everyone. The information ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I have learned that no matter how many times people tell me not to judge a person by their appearance, I have grown up in a world where we still do it daily regardless of how hard we try not to. I go back and forth thinking about whether it s right or wrong to so openly give out patient room numbers but in the end, I think it s really only fair to do so. I think there could be changes, if possible phone up to a room and ask the patient if they know so and so, and if they want them to come to their room. Another option might be calling the nurses station or something on the floor, but I can only imagine how crazy that would drive employees who are trying to do their jobs. I can guess that most health care related organizations come across many situations and circumstances that could sway between ethical and unethical, and the decision about what to do is probably very difficult. It has been made very clear to me now, as to why hospitals have boards of directors with members from different backgrounds, so that there is really someone pulling from every angle to try and think about all the options to help make a sound ... • 8. The Idea Of Natural Selection The idea of anthropocentrism provides comfort to humans. It posits that in this messy, incomprehensible world, we are still the central species. This idea allows, and even encourages, humans to view the world through a very anthropological lens and assume that, because we are the dominant and most important species, nature works in human terms and is the domain of man. The idea of creationism is very anthropocentric itself. In the Hebrew Bible, man was created before all other animals and designed in God s image. He was given domain over nature by God as well. This idea of human supremacy and exceptionalism has persisted into modernity, but the advent of Darwin s evolutionary theory altered human s perception of themselves and the natural world. The typical belief in human dominance was shaken through Darwin s idea of natural selection and evolution which posited that humans, just as all other species descended from some one prototype (484). The descendants of this one prototype evolved based on natural selection. Evolution led to the creation of all organisms, living and extinct, including humans. The theory of evolution challenged the ideas of human exceptionalism and anthropocentrism by including humans in the same category as all other organisms, organisms that we as humans feel superior to. In evolutionary theory, humans become simply another species that managed to survive the struggle for existence rather than a master of nature created in the image of ... Weight Watchers Case Study Weight Watchers: Background and Effectiveness among Individuals Participating in the Program Weight Watchers is a program diet founded by Jean Nidetch in the early 60 s in Queens, NY (Weight Watchers 2017). Weight Watchers is a popular diet program that was created to help individuals lose unwanted weight and develop a healthier lifestyle while maintaining a flexible food menu and exercise plan. Weight Watchers is also a unique weight loss program because they offer different opportunities for participants to meet with a group of like members who are also in the program in locations near them. Jean Nidetch founded Weight Watchers in her living room when she was discussing her struggles with weight loss with her friends and decided to make different lifestyle choices to help her shed the weight that she did not want (Weight Watchers 2017). Nidetch began a business administration course at City college of New York briefly before her father passed, which caused her to drop out of school to find an occupation. She worked in different small stores and companies before she was able to create Weight Watchers where her success began. An interesting factor of the creation of the Weight Watchers program is the lack of credentials that Nidetch had to develop a diet plan that many others would begin to participate in. First off, some spaniards use their matureness as an advantage for the Natives to give them whatever they want. In this case, gold or religion. • 32. The Role Of Director Of The New Zealand Aid Programme Essay I write to you in the hopes you will consider my application for the role of the Director of the New Zealand Aid Programme (NZAP). Studying the inconsistent implementation of past aid policies, I will use the Pacific to outline my vision for the direction of future aid administration. Guided by the principle purpose of New Zealand s first independent aid organisation, NZAID, and in keeping with international aid trends, my vision for NZAP would work towards one clear goal: the elimination of poverty. New Zealand aid policies have been reorganised over the past few decades, influenced by both international practices and domestic politics. Effected in the years following World War II as many Pacific nations gained independence, early aid approaches aligned with global development policies and bilateral structures proposed by the Colombo Plan (Banks et al., 2012). Helen Clark s reigning Labour Government, established NZAID in 2002, adopting policies which sought to rectify the damage wrought during the lost decade when National s neoliberal policies saw the introduction of Structural Adjustment Policies (SAPs) and drastic reduction of New Zealand s Official Development Assistance (ODA) (Banks et al., 2012; ... The transformation in the character of Lear can be traced from his position a king through his downward spiral into madness. The play begins with the reversal of stereotypical gender roles. Shakespeare portrays this reversal initially through how Lear relinquishes his power and apportions it between his two daughters. • 35. How The Gospel of Luke Portrays A Model Of Social Justice... Luke s Gospel is a portrayal of Jesus as a model of social justice. Hence, the reader is empowered and influenced by the Gospel to be actively involved in social justice issues. The Catholic Church has sought to reach out to those in need, and Luke s Gospel demonstrates this through injustices that Jesus challenged. In addition, mental illness, which is a current social justice issue reflects and appeals to problems that Jesus faced and reacted to in his time. Luke s Gospel greatly emphasizes the social justice aspect of Christian living. Throughout the third book in the New Testament, the story and history of Jesus Christ is written, and Luke preserves the many sayings of Jesus warning that those with material possessions have a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Catechism shows that; Society ensures social justice by providing the conditions that allow associations and individuals to obtain their due. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1928). In other words, social justice is linked to the common good and exercise of authority. The life and teachings of Jesus Christ call us to work for justice, peace and human rights. In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus describes this mission in the following way: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To let the oppressed go free, To proclaim the year of the Lord s favour. (Luke 4: 18 19) As a result, the work for social justice is an integral mission of the Church. Catholics are inspired and sustained through work for a just society. Social Justice also comes with an understanding of respect for the human person. Respect for the human person proceeds by way of respect for the principle that everyone should look upon his neighbour as another self, above all bearing in mind his life and the means necessary for living it with dignity. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1931). My first issue surrounds the water crisis in California and the second I ll be focusing on the controversial issue of fracking. The drought in California has presented some controversial and difficult issues for the residents of the state. Due to the lack of rain and fresh water the state has began, with no regulation, pumping irreplaceable groundwater to aid the drought. This is an out of sight crisis considering it is invisible in the average persons life. Furthermore, as long as residents are continuing to have access to water in their homes and work places the crisis is largely out of sight out of mind. However, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Fracking is also referred as hydraulic fracturing in which rock is fractured by a pressurized liquid to further create cracks and openings underground to extract more free flowing components such as natural gas, petroleum, and brine. Millions of frac jobs have been performed on oil and gas wells worldwide to further extract more shale gas, tight gas, tight oil and coral seam gas. This highly controversial issue of greed and depletion of deeply bounded fossil fuels is extremely important. The argumentative basis of this matter is between those whom benefit and have more readily available accessible hydrocarbons and the people who are aware of the potential hazardous environmental effects. Hydraulic fracturing greatly threatens the risk of ground and surface water contamination, air pollution, noise pollution, and the consequential triggering of earth quakes and hazardous long term effects that are unknown. This is highly controversial considering the industry that is already in power of fossil fuel extraction is highly powerful and ran by both government powers and mass corporate powers with much control on those who regulate. I am on the opposing side of the fossil greedy powerful organizations who push for fracking and believe that there are surely alternative solutions. I am personally interested in the issue of fracking because I know how important and vital clean ground and surface water are for human survival and also because I am terrified of the technology mankind has came to power over that in which threatens and potentially could trigger disasters that we have no control over such as earthquakes and sinking of the land. There are many issues amongst my major that I cold have focused on but I believe in this current day the largest problems surround the ever so greedy and extreme measures mankind will take to have power over natural resources, ... Alfred Tennyson wrote the Charge of the Light Brigade in 1854 and it is about the battle of Balaclava in the Crimean war. His views of the war are very positive and he sees it as an opportunity for a man to prove himself. He speaks of the qualities of these men, of their bravery. They are charging in to almost certain death but yet they still follow orders and fight on in the valley of death . He doesn t speak of the fact that this was a huge mistake by the general to send his men into almost certain death.
