Animal Farm Satire Essay
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Animal Farm Satire" can be quite challenging due to the
multifaceted nature of the topic. The challenge lies not only in understanding George Orwell's
satirical techniques employed in "Animal Farm" but also in effectively conveying these nuances
through your own analysis and interpretation.
Firstly, comprehending the allegorical elements of the novel demands a profound understanding
of historical contexts, particularly the Russian Revolution of 1917, and its subsequent events.
Drawing parallels between the characters in the book and real-life historical figures is essential
for a comprehensive analysis.
Furthermore, the satirical nature of Orwell's writing involves a subtle and sometimes indirect
criticism of political ideologies and power structures. Unraveling the layers of satire requires a
keen eye for literary devices, such as irony, allegory, and symbolism, and being able to connect
these elements to Orwell's underlying message.
Constructing a coherent and well-organized essay also poses a challenge. Balancing the
exploration of specific examples from the text with broader thematic discussions can be tricky.
Ensuring that your arguments flow logically and are supported by relevant evidence is vital to
convey a strong and persuasive analysis.
Additionally, addressing the impact of satire on the reader and society adds another layer of
complexity. How Orwell's satire functions to provoke thought, challenge societal norms, and
incite reflection needs to be explored and articulated clearly in the essay.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Animal Farm Satire" requires a combination of
literary analysis, historical understanding, and critical thinking skills. Successfully navigating
through these complexities will result in a nuanced and insightful piece of writing that captures
the essence of Orwell's satirical masterpiece.

Essay About Blues Music
Introduction Blues is a music genre originating in Africa .This genre emerged with
the introduction of African people as slaves to America s south. Slaves were
employed in poor conditions in the cotton fields before the Civil War. Making music
meant avoiding the pain for them. People think Blues music is slow and smooth
because the lyrics of the Bluesmusic always includes depression, loneliness and anger.
After the emancipation movement, Blues expanded to lots of states. Each states
blended their own culture with the blues and then they created their own specific
blues genres. Some of them Mississippi Delta Blues and Urban (Chicago) Blues.

Recordings which were recorded in the city was quite professional than the Delta
Blues records because in the Delta records were made in the portable studios.
Moreover the cost of studios were cheaper in the Urban. Blues artists easily
worked in the professional studios. When the Blues artist started to make more
professional recordings, they are realized by white people. Firstly they wanted to
introduce blues music to white teens. Before blues move into the North, blues
recordings only appealed to Blacks. They thought we should offer the blues to
white people. Also they sung in bands which are founded by white people. Due to
this well planned strategy, people understood that the blues is not only made by
black people or listened by black people. The blues gain considerable popularity in

How To Read A Book Analysis
I believe everyone deserves to read a book. Throughout my life as a middle
schooler, I understood some of the meaningful definitions in a variety of books.
From children to poetry to essays, each written work has a personal purpose to it. I
believe there are different lessons taught.
I believe responsibility is one of the lessons taught in some books. I remember the
first few weeks when I was in 8th grade. I would be in a hurry doing last minute
assignments such as book reports or essays because I was too busy being lazy or
was at appointments, which I had several during that time. I personally enjoyed
writing when I was in that class, but I hated reading. When the whole class began to
read the Little Prince, I understood that the pilot wanted to stop talking to the little
prince in order to fix his plane in the beginning, but I did not understand the why
part. My English teacher explained that the pilot did not take a moment to be
grateful of what is happening around him. He just did not see it with his own eyes. It
would make one help understand more about what others think from their
perspective. And yes, I got slightly more organized than how I was before.
I believe loyalty to others is another of the lessons taught in some books. Around the
same time when I began to read the Little Prince, I began to read the Percy ... Show

Benedict Vs Beowulf Research Paper
The Rule of St. Benedict and Beowulf could not be more different texts. Beowulf is
the epic story of a warrior turned king who kills monsters while grappling with his
mortality. The Rule of St. Benedict was written as a how to for other monks to
follow when founding their own monasteries. While one is meant to be loudly
performed by a bard to drunken warriors, the other is meant for quiet reflection by
one abbot. Yet through these disparate genres, similar values emerge. Both The Rule
and Beowulfglorify the ideal of a brotherhood working under the watch of one leader.
It is not a coincidence that two separate cultures developed such a similar
dependence. Both the monks in Benedict s monastery and the warriors in Hrothgar
s mead hall are only barely sustainable. The warriors are facing daily attacks from
monsters and the monks spend every possible moment in prayer to keep sin at bay.

His rank is heavenly, he is to hold the place of Christ in the monastery, (pg. 21) and
is even addressed as Christ by cenobites. The abbot has the enormous job of guiding
all the monk s souls to heaven, leaving their eternal salvation in his hands. Much
responsibility has been entrusted in the abbot, who is expected to lead with dignity,
compassion, and utmost control. The abbot controls daily life, from the serious
punishment of an excommunicated monk, Let him take his food alone in a time and
amount the abbot considers is appropriate for him , (Pg. 51) to the banal reception of
gifts [A monk] must not presume to accept gifts even by his parents without
previously telling the abbot. (Pg. 75). Of the 73 chapters of The Rule, 9 instruct the
abbot and 10 refer to the care of the monastery. The monks entrust the abbot with their
daily life and afterlife. There is no room in this equation for competition, individuality,
and questioning
The Defense Contractors
One of the challenges that the defense contractors are facing is that their employee
wages are the highest compared to any other industry. This is mainly due to the
higher average wages in the defense industry. For instance, Raytheon charges the
government $90 per hour for administrative support/clerical work for individuals
with a minimum of a high school diploma and two years of experience, and slightly
more than $100 per hour for first tier managementconsulting (Porter, 2015).
One major factor that is contributing to the higher wages among the defense
contractors is the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) which may require a
company performing work under a federal contract to have a unionized workforce.
The other major factor is the number of requirements needed to meet the legal
requirements under the Federal Acquisition Regulations which in and of itself makes
the processes and the procedures more complex. In general, these complex
administrative requirements will require an additional workforce that is not required
in the commercial industry. This presents Raytheon with even more reason to use an
ABC oriented approach which identify and track the costs of activities, so the
company can use it to see if activity costs are in line with industry standards. In fact,
in an ABC system, the costs of the organization s significant activities are
accumulated and then assigned to goods or services in accordance with how the
activities are used in the production of
Coach s International Marketing
Coach is offering fewer coupons and discounts, and they are offering sales on goods
in full price stores for the first time in history (Can Coach Rebuild Its Brand Image
with New Promotional Strategies, 2014). Coach s direct marketing activities include
advertising in national and international media, especially during high volume selling
seasons such as Thanksgiving and Christmas (Soni, 2015). They are also targeting
salesthrough leveraging its database of households to target customers for specific
products and generate sales across multiple channels (Soni, 2015). Coach is offering
flash sales whereby reducing prices for select periods on its websites, as well as in
company operated stores (Soni, 2015). They are also concentrating on international
outreach maintaining informational websites in countries where it doesn t yet have a
retail presence, whether direct, or through wholesale or web channels (Soni, 2015).
In 2014, Coach spent 2.7% of net sales ($130 million) on marketingactivities, which

Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China, Germany, Portugal, Spain, and the United

The Concept Of Failure In The Great Gatsby
Failure is a difficult concept for many people to accept because it is hard to
understand what failure exactly is. The idea of failure can be seen in the
concluding chapters of The Great Gatsby when Gatsby fails to achieve his dream
of being with Daisy. The issue of failure exists within all people whether they are
successful or not. The issue of dealing with failure is a difficult hurdle to overcome
for many reasons, which includes ideas like not being able to recognize failure,
which results in the loss of purpose as well as the loss of willingness to improve. By
not being able to deal with failure, one s life can be put to a stop and lead them on a
bad path. One must be able to recover from failure and see that failure is only a
stepping stone to a betterand brighter future. Failure is difficult to recover from and
often leads to more failure, but it is not impossible to recover from. With resilience
and drive, a person who understands what failure is, is able to conquer it. One major
part of being unable to recover from failure is the inability to acceptthe fact that one
has failed. Recognizing failure is important because without the recognition, there is
no improving on a failed experience. In not recognizing failure as a problem, one is
given a false view of themselves where they never fail, however in The essential
Guide for Recovering from Failure , Guy Winch, Ph.D, shows the reader the problem
with not recognizing or understanding the concept of failure.

When we say that there is nothing on TV often we mean nothing we can find that
we want to see but this will not be the case with a smart TV. You can watch
YouTube videos or play games and as long as you don t mind others knowing what

Abstract:
The essay examines evolution of popular music, experiences and how the public
understood it between 1918 and 1939. During this period, a national culture dance
was developed in England. Evolution process was marked with transformation of
popular dance forms, affordable and easily dances places and a national wide
dancing practice. Evolvement of a dance culture was instrumental in creation of a
national identity. People understood what it meant to be British. There was an
English style of ballroom dancing, thematic content such as the popular Lambeth
walk. To reduce American influence on English music, British ballroom dancers
tried to create British music free of American influence. Through adaptation of
different dancing styles, they presented what they believed to be the real British
identity. Introduction: In the words of Victor Sylvester, ballroom dancing was an
activity which could not be cut off or separated from the world; it was an activity
which was influenced by surrounding occurrences. Change in occasions such as
fashion, war music and social upheavals all played an important role in influencing
the dancing scene. He observed that external forces influenced performance as well
as evolution of dancing (Sylvester, 1927). Rather than concentrating how dancing was
influenced by occurrences such as war or change of fashion, this essay
The Presidential Election For The First Time
This November I get to exercise my constitutional right to vote in the presidential
election for the first time. This opportunity is something that I have looked
forward to for a very long time. I ve developed a rather heavy interest in politics
over the past year or so, and have been actively following the race to the presidency
between Clinton and Trump. But despite my interest in politics, I have been rather
quiet on Facebook about my political beliefs and my feelings on this election.
While this is in part due to my lack of desire to post my political beliefs for the
web, it is mostly because this election, I m doing something that would shock my
younger self; I am voting for Clinton. Yes, I am voting for Clinton. And no, it is not
just because I am 18 years old and living in a college town in one of the most
liberal parts of Indiana. If I m being honest, I wanted to throw my vote away to a
third party candidate for awhile. But ultimately, I decided that it would be better to
throw my support behind one of the major candidates. So after lots of critical
analysis of both candidates, including looking at their backgrounds and what their
plans for our country are, I came to my decision. I know that many of my Facebook
friends are Republican through and through. And I m willing to bet that this is
because of their Christian faith. Growing up a Christian, I think it s considered the
norm to throw your allegiance at the Republican candidate. Typically, the candidate

Andre Dubus III s House of Sand and Fog Essay
Andre Dubus III s House of Sand and Fog
House of Sand and Fog, by Andre Dubus III, explores the catastrophic repercussions
of a complex misunderstanding between three characters. The conflict initially
involves a dispute between Kathy Nicolo and Massoud Behrani over the rightful
ownership of a house. The county wrongfully evicts Kathy and Behrani then buys her
house at an auction. When Deputy Sheriff Lester Burdon enters the situation, events
quickly slip out of control. Superficially, Lester s character is important to the novel

He never questions her sudden return to alcohol and fails to notice her growing
dependence on it. If Lester had caught the warning signs Kathy smoking profusely
as a crutch and feeling jittery when she needs more alcohol if Lester had
recognized these symptoms, perhaps he would have realized Kathy s current
mental instability (145). But Lester overlooks this side of Kathy and is unable to
check her usage. As a result, drunk and desperate at a restaurant in the mall, Kathy
is convinced that Lester will return to his family and leave her, only after making
love to [her] like a man taking in oxygen before he goes on a long underwater trip
(202). In her impaired state, Kathy drives to her father s house, now occupied by the
Behrani family, and attempts suicide twice. When Lester arrives at the house and
spies Kathy passed out on the floor, he assumes the worst and breaks into the Behrani
s house, holding them hostage. This starts a chain of events that ends with the
Behranis and their son dead and Kathy and Lester in prison.
Lester s presence drags the rest of the characters down a dismal road of hostages,
hatred, and suicide. Had Dubus omitted him from the novel, the conflict could have
resolved itself in a non violent manner. However, by adding Lester s third person
point of view to the first person perspectives of Kathy and Behrani, Dubus transforms
the story into a three dimensional

Marriage of Catholic Priests Essay
The Catholic Church, being nearly 2,000 years old, still follows many of the same
rules and guidelines established in the early church. One item that many Catholics
are surprised to learn is that the tradition of priests and other clergy members
remaining celibate has not always been present in the church. There are many
Catholics, in and out of the clergy, who believe that priests should have the ability
to get married and raise a family. In fact, priestly celibacy is not a church law, but,
as Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone says it is a positive tradition,
and not untouchable (France Pressez). However, some critics of the practice would
argue that celibacy is not a positive tradition, and that in fact it is... Show more

It seems like a simple decision for the church to make: Make celibacy optional,
recruit much needed new priests. A few of the branches of the Catholic Churchin
Eastern Europe allow their priests to be married. The Vatican allows the marriages to
keep church members from converting to Orthodox Christianity, the dominant
religion in that part of the world. A recent article in The New York Times profiles
Reverend Yuriy Volovetskiy, the priestat a Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.
Volovetskiy is married and has six children. He says that being married helps him
better relate to his parishioners. He says having children has helped him become a
part of society. It is easier for him to explain things to his parish if he has actually
lived through them. Volovetskiy also says that celibacy is unnatural, and that no
one can escape from having a sexual life (Levy). Many priests, after taking the vow
of celibacy, discover that they can t suppress their sexual feelings towards others.
Many priests have secret relationships that they hide from their parish. Good Tidings
is an organization set up by a woman and her husband, a former Catholic priest, to
help priests who have fallen in love to decide whether to leave the priesthood. The
organization has been contacted by almost 2000 women who were sexually involved

The Southwest Savanna is characterized by the hilltops, rivers and valleys and steep
wooded slopes within the area. The average growing season in this part of southern
Wisconsin is 153 days, making it the fourth longest growing season of the different

all the land in this section of Wisconsin, about 3.5% belongs to state, county, or
municipal governments; this includes the state parks, natural areas, and wildlife

the forests in the Southern Savanna burned frequently. These forests depended on the

Platte, Belmont and Sinsinawa mounds. If these mounds were not capped by the
Niagara dolomite in the area, they would have been cut down to the level of the
lands surrounding them (Belmont Mound State Park Geology). The Belmont
Mound is an example of the southern mesic and dry mesic forests in Wisconsin. The
east central part of the woods is more mesic with sugar maple being the dominant
species while larger red oak, basswood, and white ash dominate the remainder, with
some black walnut mixed in (Belmont Mound Woods No. 167). The areas of the
mound that were the focus of the study were the Southern (day one) and Eastern (day

The Myers Briggs Type Indicator
The Myers Briggs Type IndicatorВ® (MBTIВ®) helps individuals realize their
personalities hence learn their strengths and weaknesses in their field of work. The
random behavior an individual conducts on daily basis is thought to be orderly and
consistent and differs with personalities as people use their perception and judgment
in different ways. The best way to conduct this test is through an experienced MBIT
administrator, however, there are online tools than can help one achieve almost
similar results. Our life experiences play an important role in this test as what we
have done or have been doing is what determines the answer an individual gives.
From the test I conducted online on myself the results were ENTP. The URL for
the site is http://www.personalitypathways.com/type_inventory.html. These results
are true as some of my choices of actions throughout my life have been based on the
four letters. Firstly, my mental energy is mostly influenced by the environment. In
case of an abrupt event, I act first then reflect later on the consequences of my
actions. I prefer spending my leisure time with my friends partying and not just
sitting reading books or enjoying lonely walks at night. In case I am grounded I
feel deprived as the interaction which I have with the outside world is cut. When I
get into a new environment, it is easy for me to get new friends as they are source
of my joy and motivation. Being in a crowd is not a problem to me at any occasion.

The Soveregin Euro Crisis
Introduction
The sovereign Euro crisis inflicting the Euro zone nations have both internal
integration significance and international economic. It rarely truncated the internal
integration of economic crisis but also accentuate effects to immediate distant nations
including Australia (Malcolm Edey, 2011). The Euro zone member states experienced
sovereign debt crisis which largely affected international economic and European
integration. Regional economic crisis had immediate and clear effects on the far off
nations including Australia. The sovereign debt crisis emanated from Euro zone
governments facing bond market rates and unsustainable to repayments. These
culminated in low resolution measures and high public debt (Prideaux, 2000) This
meant potential decline in the GDP and decreased levels of exports. The EU
summit was seen as a hope to a resolution of the European crisis but the agreement
by the European leaders lacked focus on resolving the immediate issues. Its great
attention was guaranteeing the survival of the Euro zone in its current form. There
is a real possibility of departure of one or more countries from the Euro zone.
Financial markets geographically distant from Europe to face European crisis.
Australia has over the last four years resisted the impending decline of economic
recession as a result of the Euro crisis (Parkinson, 2011). Following the US sub prime

Drumming Traditions Of Ghan Traditional Music
NM2610 Research Essay
Drumming Traditions of Ghana
The Traditional music of Africa presents itself as an oral practice of instrumental skill
passed down from ancient ancestors. This idea has influenced the sound produced
through instrumentation thus allowing the replication of spoken language. Within
Ghanaian tradition, the practice of dance drumming is a part of everyday culture and
can be linked to religion, politics, life events and entertainment (Green 2012 p. 235
238). The practice of drumming acts as the central focus of Ghana s musical culture
functioning to form well connected ethnic groups (Jones 1964 p. 334). Through the

Rhythms known as okomfo twene are chosen based on their success in attracting the
gods but it is not uncommon for musicians to create their own. The Asente perform
three modes of drumming, which are signal mode, speech mode and dance mode;
these may all be observed within the possession ritual. The drumming of the healing
ceremony is often dynamic signaling the beginnings of a ritual whilst its connection
to dance rhythms inspires movement thus encouraging possession. The drums used
within the ceremony are the talking drums called Atumpan that feature a high tone
and a low tone which are used to mimic tonal language of the Asente (Wilson 2006).
It is through the musical elements incorporated within the healing ceremony that
attendance, possession and the ability to heal is affected. The significance of the
drum within this ritual to appease the gods can be compared to the importance of
drumming in relation to the deceased in funeral ceremonies of the Ewe people.
Within the tradition of the Ewe people, music is a representation of worth with this
idea reflected within funeral ceremonies. Ghanaian funerals of the Ewe people do
not only function to farewell loved ones but also act as an occasion that inspires the
creation and performance of music. An Ewe funeral is a three day event that
includes the wake keeping, burial and grand funeral showcasing a diverse variety of
drumming practices. The wake keeping
How Did Rome Lead To The Creation Of Rome
During the later days of the Republic, the Romans expanded their interests far
beyond their homeland. Destruction of Carthage in 146 BC lead to the creation of
provincia of Africa and in 125 118 BC, conquest of southern Gaul created province
of Gallia Transalpina. Julius Caesar defeated the Gaul and in 51 BC rest of the Gaul
maims was given the status of a Roman province. Roman Empirefrther expanded with
the creation of three Spanish provinces: Hispania Baetica (smith central Spain),
Lusitania and Hispania Tarraconensis (the rest of Spain), in 19 BC. At its peak,
following the Battle of Actium, Octavian had about 60 legions under his command.

Salary Caps In Professional Sports
Salary caps are a very important tool used in professional sports. All 4 major
professional sports leagues in the United States have a salary cap installed into their
collective bargaining agreement between the league and its players. Those four
major sports are, the NFL, the NBA, the MLB and the NHL. A salary capis defined as
s an agreement or rule that places a limit on the amount of money that a team can
spend on players salaries. It can be as a per player limit or a total limit for the team
s roster. It is basically put in place to help the small market teams stay competitive.
It is meant so the wealthy teams, also called big market teams, does not always stay

Unzipping When you receive an attachment in an email you can unzip and save it.
This is because documents are generally compressed when they are sent. Unzipping
makes them their full original size and you can then save them this way. This allows
lots of information to be sent simultaneously.
Adding and creating contacts Contacts allow you to send emails to people without
having to write out their email address. This saves time if you contact a person
regularly and stores the email address so you don t have to remember it.
BCC BCC or blind carbon copy is lice CC but as well as helping the sender email

Importance Of Separation Of Power
Since the beginning of America, our founding fathers have created the Constitution.
It became clear that a country running on a democracy system must divide the
powers within the government and its people. The people are able to vote for a
candidate either as the president or any other government official while the
government creates the laws to keep order. This is where the Separations of Power
comes in. The Separation of Powersallow each of the three branches ( Legislative,
Executive, and Judicial) of the government to look after each other assigning each
branch to look after each other. This is called Checks and Balances. You could say
it is the basis for our government ( Schifino 4). This is important to the united states
as it does not authorize the government to have too much power. Each branch has a
specific role to partake in the government. No branch can encroach on the authority
of another branch ( O CONNELL 898 ).The problem is certain branches may have
more power than other branches. The Judicial branch establishes the supreme court
and defines jurisdiction meaning they have the official power to make legal
decisions and judgment . They consist of federal courts and makes decisions on laws
that deal with the federal government. They can declare the laws created by the
legislative unconstitutional giving them power over the Legislative Branch. Not only
that, they have power over the Judicial branch by being able to issue a warrant to the
executive branch

The Last Empty, Inessential Question
This is my least favorite story of all those I have read. After all, I undertook
(against my own will) to read several trillion years of human history in the space of
a short story and boy, it was far from successful (Asimov 1). I also undertook another
task (1): making sure no one else endures the suffering I went through. It is a curious
fact that Isaac Asimov wrote this story in the first place (1). Thanks to the
monotonous and repetitive nature of the writing, no one will ever remember the title
of the story or (for sure) the author (1). Throughout The Last Question, Asimov crafts

half baked ideas about speech to text technology and artificial intelligence, and he

as they relate to the strategies for reaching organizational goals. The practice includes
a study of elements such as core competencies, process capability and strategic intent

The Sex Of Sex Work
The world of sex work has been around for countless years. Hollywood portrays it
as a normal way of life in all the cowboy movies and put a glamorous feel around it.
However, Hollywood is about selling dreams and fantasy, though the reality is quite
different. The reality is that sex work is dangerous. The act in and of itself is not
usually dangerous, nevertheless, the situations in which it needs to be conducted are.
Today s sex work incorporates more than just prostitution; the adult film industry,
Dom/Sub work, phone sex operators, together with exotic dancing are all considered
sex work. The focus of this essay has been narrowed down to just the prostitution
aspect of sex work and the decriminalization for the means of creating a safer
environment for the worker. Decriminalization of this particular type of sex work
would render the job safer for the workers given that they would have the ability to
screen clients, an established place of employment, safety in numbers, a positive
relationship with law enforcement, and enhanced means to protect themselves from
health risks.
Screening of the clients is a key aspect of keeping the sex workers safe. Screening
the clients is a lot about reading people, their clothes, their attitude, how they hold
themselves and trusting the experience of the worker s instinct. The screening
process will not work every single time, however, the ability to make the decision to
go with a client or not can save the workers life. Escorts and

Hawaiian Annexation
The Overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom, which happened from January 17, 1893 to
August 12, 1898, happened because the sugar planters and businessmen wanted more
power over the Hawaiian Islands, both economically and politically. These foreigners
tried to overthrow the Hawaiian Monarchy by using force, and the Hawaiians tried to
stop the act of annexation. During the overthrow, some foreigners, such as Sanford B.
Dole, Lorrin A. Thurston, and John L. Stevens, created the Hawaiian League, the
Committee of Public Safety, and the Annexation Club to promote annexation on
Hawaii. When the United Statespromoted the McKinley Tariff Act in 1891, it harmed

Causes And Effects Of The MongolsFacilision On Eurasia
Between 1200CE 1500CE, the Mongol Empire affected Eurasia through
facilitating trade, exchanging money, collecting tribute, spreading the plague,
diffusing technology, eradicating bandits on trade networks, and attacking the
city of Caffa along with their influence on the acceleration of the Black Death
plague. Insert Contextualization paragraph about Aztecs, Incas in the Americas
One major effect of Mongol expansion on Eurasia was the Mongols Facilitation of
Trade. This effect is similar to how the Mongols collected tribute from foreign
travelers with the introduction of Kublai Khans decree that was issued in 1278.
The Mongol Empire always favored trade and this was a very fortunate thing for
the worlds nations, especially for the West. When the Mongols began to conquer
land and rise to power, they opened themselves up to trade and reopened the Great
Silk Road Trade Network. This was possible because the Mongols and the Golden
Horde cleared out bandits during their conquests that had made merchants and
travelers afraid to go on with their business. The Mongols also created rest stops
and had fortified outposts along the GSR and helped caravans across the network.
Because of this, trade contacts increased exponentially starting around 1250. This
also had to do with Pax Mongolica which was the peace that the Mongols had
created around Eurasia since they began to unify it. The Mongols facilitation of
trade and their openings of trade all around Eurasia is what shifted trade to the
west and began the diffusion of different technologies. According to the
information from Marco Polo in Document 1, the Mongols were smart and wealthy
people who lived by their skills and trade. Marco Polo goes on to explain how even
the merchants had the spirits of soldiers and the people in general had what it took
to conquer the whole world. Another major effect of Mongol expansion on Eurasia
was the Exchange of Money around the entirety of Eurasia by the Mongols. This is a
similar effect that ties in with the Mongols facilitation of trade and collection of
tribute. With the collection of tribute from foreign travelers conducting business in
Mongol territory and the spread of trade throughout all of Eurasia caused by the
The Dangerous Life of a Squirrel in Autumn Essay
The sky is the color of cold stones as I cautiously make my way down the trunk of

breeze passes through them. One of them is blown free, making a soft snapping
sound as it breaks away from its anchored brothers and begins to fall to the ground
below. It twists and turns as it goes and I watch it in momentary curiosity. I have
seen this often before. It is still mostly green, only slightly browning at the edges. It
makes a show of falling, as though it knows it has an audience. It spins and dances,
carried across an unseen stage by the breeze. The breeze fades and dies and the leaf

Metaachromatic Leukodystrophy Research Paper
Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) is a disorder which results in the inability
to break down sulfatides in the lysosome of oligodendrocytes. The name is of
greek origin, Leuko meaning white, dys meaning lack, and troph meaning growth.
As a Leukodystrophy, the name implies that the disease is lacking growth in the
white matter of the brain. The inability to break down sulfatides in the lysosomal
complexes of the cell lead to the degeneration of the myelin sheath which are
produced by oligodendrocytes. This disease is most commonly associated with the
inability to produce Arylsulfatase A (ASA), a protein that works to catalyze the
breakdown of sulfatides by hydrolyzing the 3 O ester bond [1]. MLD is commonly
associated with infants as most cases occur while the patient is young, typically
from 12 20 months post birth. However, Juvenile and late onset MLD also exists in
which symptoms arise later on in life. The time of onset depends on the type of
mutation the individual has. Individuals with MLD suffer from demyelination in the

Although no treatment is known to completely halt the progress of MLT, there are
ways to slow the progression of the disease. Since the disease pathogenesis of MLD
is still yet to be understood, treatment can be tricky. Researchers are unsure when
the ideal time of treatment is and are concerned with safety issues when certain
therapies are applied. These therapies will target a specific part of the pathogenic
aspect of the disease and some work better than others at different stages [12].
Though treatment options are available to individuals afflicted with MLD, there is
currently no treatment that is able to completely stop the progression of the disease.
There are currently three ways to slow the progression of MLD, they are the Enzyme

Article 92 Good order and Military discipline: The Disciplinary Regulations of the
United States Army define military discipline as a strict and honorable
compliance by all servicemen with the order and rules prescribed by laws, military
regulations and orders of commanders (superiors). Military discipline is a special
form of military relations. Its specifics lie in coordinating the conduct and actions of
military personnel and in serving to establish such relations as are required for

All enlistees, both as personalities and members of definite service and public
structures (including those with a negative impact on discipline), their relations and
degree of activity form in the aggregate the disciplinary system of an element (unit).
Psychological support for troops has emerged as a necessity because this kind of
work can deal, to a considerable extent, with a set of specific psychological problems
arising within disciplinary systems at all levels, not the lower echelons alone, as is
often believed. Occasionally it is just the matter of an enlistee being unprepared for
discipline abiding lifestyle (ignorance of army regulations, orders and regulatory
documents). Sometimes, however, psychological problems stem from clearly
expressed anti disciplinary attitudes in some or other serviceman, which attitudes tend
to disorganize military activities, mixing, and off duty routine. Two groups of
disciplinary psychological problems are identified. First, inadequacy (weakness,
instability, incompleteness, and unfinished nature) of individual, group or
organizational mechanisms for normative behavior and control thereof as is revealed
by practice; certain enlistees lack the required disciplinary motivation and/or they
cannot behave in an organized way in conformity with the regulations, rules, laws,
and military traditions. Military command and control agencies, for their part, do not

best friend. I got off of my mind tangent and tried to stay focused. After apologizing
to Clary, I would have to apologize to Katherine; I had crashed her new car. Back on
track, step one finding Clary. I slowly turned my head to the side to see if any doctors
or nurses were in my viewing range

Should English For Replace Bilingual Education
The United States is home to millions of immigrants from all over the world.
During 2004 more or less about 5.3 percent or 2.8 million of Kinder twelve grade
students were classified as being limited in English proficiency. Most of these
students came from homes where only Spanish was spoken by their parents and other
family members living with them. I have chosen to do my research on Should
English immersions replace bilingual education. This topic interested me as soon as I
saw it because it is something I can relate to. When I was a child, my parents brought
my brother and I to the United States. We lived right across the border from Eagle
Pass, Texas which is where I live today. I was able to start school at a kinder garden
level. My family s native language has always Spanish. When I started school, I
did not know one single word in English and my parents either, so all the help I got
was in school and some private lessons I would attend a couple times a week that
my parents were able to afford. I remember my teacher would give me one on one
tutoring and would at first give me work in Spanish and then started mixing it up a
bit and would sometimes give me the work in English rather than Spanish or
sometimes even both. The teacher I have interviewed works for the Eagle Pass
Independent School District, and teaches fifth grade at Benavides Elementary. I have
known her for quite some time, even though her strong language is English she
believes that English immersion
An Immigrant Journey Personal Response
It was such a joy to be able to watch An Immigrant Journey . Everyone that was
involved in the play in any way, did a fantastic job on creating the story and making
the story much more believable for audience members. I thought the cast did a
fantastic job of condensing down over 125 hours of research material, into a 50
minute show, which had to be incredibly challenging. The cast of An Immigrant
Journey did a good job on effectively creating the stories, and making the stories
easier for the audiencemembers to follow. The plot, the setting of each individual
story and characters were effectively written, which helped establish the story that
was being told. I thought that it was very cleaver before the playeven started, that

My Day In Thailand
I remembered when I fell down the tall lime tree. I remembered wrapping around
my friend s arms, jumping and running like crazy and singing along with them
after school. But when they don t wrap their arms around me, I would cry and felt
lonely. I don t know why I would cry just for that. Well, here s a story of my day in
Thailand. Preschool was fun for me in Thailand. The teachers taught us how to
sing different songs about our culture and the alphabets. We also did some math
problems too. I totally forgot what I learned specifically now though. I was known
as the best student in my class. My short tempered teacher would often say
something like, be more like Pleh Meh. Pleh Meh is your role model. I liked it
when she says that, but I didn t felt like I deserved to be called the best student
though. Anyways, our school lunch was pretty good. They cooked chicken with
mixed vegetables such as beans, broccoli, and potatoes. It was my favorite. Oh and
I hate the bathroom that is close to my preschool. It was so old, there were small
holes on the walls and it looked like it was about to fall down. It was tiny. It also
had no locks on them! When I need to use the restroom, some of my friends would
peek and I felt so uncomfortable that I don t wantto use it. Now I think about it, I m
not even sure if there was a toilet inside or was there just a dirt hole. After school, I
would mostly go hang out with my friend Beh Meh. We caught butterflies,
dragonflies, and crickets
The United States Involvement In The Korean War
The Korean War was described to be one of the main reasons how the Cold War
became a global conflict in 1945. The main conflict of the Korean War was the
disagreement of Communism between North and South Korea. North Korea
followed Communism and wanted South Korea to be under the same type of
government. As South Korearefused to have Communism in their country, it led
North Korea to take action, by using violence. With the help of the Soviet Union and
China helping the North, South Korea looks to the United Statesfor aid into helping
them with this conflict (Lin Lin). The United States decision to be involved in the
Korean Warwas due to the fact it started with Communism and they wanted to prevent
the influence of it from spreading.

Animal Farm Satire Essay

  • 1. Animal Farm Satire Essay Crafting an essay on the subject of "Animal Farm Satire" can be quite challenging due to the multifaceted nature of the topic. The challenge lies not only in understanding George Orwell's satirical techniques employed in "Animal Farm" but also in effectively conveying these nuances through your own analysis and interpretation. Firstly, comprehending the allegorical elements of the novel demands a profound understanding of historical contexts, particularly the Russian Revolution of 1917, and its subsequent events. Drawing parallels between the characters in the book and real-life historical figures is essential for a comprehensive analysis. Furthermore, the satirical nature of Orwell's writing involves a subtle and sometimes indirect criticism of political ideologies and power structures. Unraveling the layers of satire requires a keen eye for literary devices, such as irony, allegory, and symbolism, and being able to connect these elements to Orwell's underlying message. Constructing a coherent and well-organized essay also poses a challenge. Balancing the exploration of specific examples from the text with broader thematic discussions can be tricky. Ensuring that your arguments flow logically and are supported by relevant evidence is vital to convey a strong and persuasive analysis. Additionally, addressing the impact of satire on the reader and society adds another layer of complexity. How Orwell's satire functions to provoke thought, challenge societal norms, and incite reflection needs to be explored and articulated clearly in the essay. In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of "Animal Farm Satire" requires a combination of literary analysis, historical understanding, and critical thinking skills. Successfully navigating through these complexities will result in a nuanced and insightful piece of writing that captures the essence of Orwell's satirical masterpiece. Slaves were employed in poor conditions in the cotton fields before the Civil War. Making music meant avoiding the pain for them. People think Blues music is slow and smooth because the lyrics of the Bluesmusic always includes depression, loneliness and anger. After the emancipation movement, Blues expanded to lots of states. Before blues move into the North, blues recordings only appealed to Blacks. They thought we should offer the blues to white people. Also they sung in bands which are founded by white people. • 5. How To Read A Book Analysis I believe everyone deserves to read a book. Throughout my life as a middle schooler, I understood some of the meaningful definitions in a variety of books. From children to poetry to essays, each written work has a personal purpose to it. I believe there are different lessons taught. I believe responsibility is one of the lessons taught in some books. I remember the first few weeks when I was in 8th grade. I would be in a hurry doing last minute assignments such as book reports or essays because I was too busy being lazy or was at appointments, which I had several during that time. I personally enjoyed writing when I was in that class, but I hated reading. When the whole class began to read the Little Prince, I understood that the pilot wanted to stop talking to the little prince in order to fix his plane in the beginning, but I did not understand the why part. My English teacher explained that the pilot did not take a moment to be grateful of what is happening around him. He just did not see it with his own eyes. It would make one help understand more about what others think from their perspective. And yes, I got slightly more organized than how I was before. Beowulf is the epic story of a warrior turned king who kills monsters while grappling with his mortality. The Rule of St. Benedict was written as a how to for other monks to follow when founding their own monasteries. While one is meant to be loudly performed by a bard to drunken warriors, the other is meant for quiet reflection by one abbot. Yet through these disparate genres, similar values emerge. Both The Rule and Beowulfglorify the ideal of a brotherhood working under the watch of one leader. It is not a coincidence that two separate cultures developed such a similar dependence. • 7. The Defense Contractors One of the challenges that the defense contractors are facing is that their employee wages are the highest compared to any other industry. This is mainly due to the higher average wages in the defense industry. For instance, Raytheon charges the government $90 per hour for administrative support/clerical work for individuals with a minimum of a high school diploma and two years of experience, and slightly more than $100 per hour for first tier managementconsulting (Porter, 2015). One major factor that is contributing to the higher wages among the defense contractors is the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) which may require a company performing work under a federal contract to have a unionized workforce. The other major factor is the number of requirements needed to meet the legal requirements under the Federal Acquisition Regulations which in and of itself makes the processes and the procedures more complex. In general, these complex administrative requirements will require an additional workforce that is not required in the commercial industry. This presents Raytheon with even more reason to use an ABC oriented approach which identify and track the costs of activities, so the company can use it to see if activity costs are in line with industry standards. In fact, in an ABC system, the costs of the organization s significant activities are accumulated and then assigned to goods or services in accordance with how the activities are used in the production of

  • 9. The Concept Of Failure In The Great Gatsby Failure is a difficult concept for many people to accept because it is hard to understand what failure exactly is. The idea of failure can be seen in the concluding chapters of The Great Gatsby when Gatsby fails to achieve his dream of being with Daisy. The issue of failure exists within all people whether they are successful or not. The issue of dealing with failure is a difficult hurdle to overcome for many reasons, which includes ideas like not being able to recognize failure, which results in the loss of purpose as well as the loss of willingness to improve. By not being able to deal with failure, one s life can be put to a stop and lead them on a bad path. One must be able to recover from failure and see that failure is only a stepping stone to a betterand brighter future. Failure is difficult to recover from and often leads to more failure, but it is not impossible to recover from. With resilience and drive, a person who understands what failure is, is able to conquer it. One major part of being unable to recover from failure is the inability to acceptthe fact that one has failed. Recognizing failure is important because without the recognition, there is no improving on a failed experience. In not recognizing failure as a problem, one is given a false view of themselves where they never fail, however in The essential Guide for Recovering from Failure , Guy Winch, Ph.D, shows the reader the problem with not recognizing or understanding the concept of failure.

During this period, a national culture dance was developed in England. Evolution process was marked with transformation of popular dance forms, affordable and easily dances places and a national wide dancing practice. Evolvement of a dance culture was instrumental in creation of a national identity. People understood what it meant to be British. There was an English style of ballroom dancing, thematic content such as the popular Lambeth walk. To reduce American influence on English music, British ballroom dancers tried to create British music free of American influence. Through adaptation of different dancing styles, they presented what they believed to be the real British identity. Introduction: In the words of Victor Sylvester, ballroom dancing was an activity which could not be cut off or separated from the world; it was an activity which was influenced by surrounding occurrences. Change in occasions such as fashion, war music and social upheavals all played an important role in influencing the dancing scene. He observed that external forces influenced performance as well as evolution of dancing (Sylvester, 1927). Rather than concentrating how dancing was influenced by occurrences such as war or change of fashion, this essay

But despite my interest in politics, I have been rather quiet on Facebook about my political beliefs and my feelings on this election. While this is in part due to my lack of desire to post my political beliefs for the web, it is mostly because this election, I m doing something that would shock my younger self; I am voting for Clinton. • 27. Importance Of Separation Of Power Since the beginning of America, our founding fathers have created the Constitution. It became clear that a country running on a democracy system must divide the powers within the government and its people. The people are able to vote for a candidate either as the president or any other government official while the government creates the laws to keep order. This is where the Separations of Power comes in. The Separation of Powersallow each of the three branches ( Legislative, Executive, and Judicial) of the government to look after each other assigning each branch to look after each other. This is called Checks and Balances. You could say it is the basis for our government ( Schifino 4). This is important to the united states as it does not authorize the government to have too much power. Each branch has a specific role to partake in the government. No branch can encroach on the authority of another branch ( O CONNELL 898 ).The problem is certain branches may have more power than other branches. The Judicial branch establishes the supreme court and defines jurisdiction meaning they have the official power to make legal decisions and judgment . They consist of federal courts and makes decisions on laws that deal with the federal government. They can declare the laws created by the legislative unconstitutional giving them power over the Legislative Branch. Not only that, they have power over the Judicial branch by being able to issue a warrant to the executive branch

After all, I undertook (against my own will) to read several trillion years of human history in the space of a short story and boy, it was far from successful (Asimov 1). I also undertook another task (1): making sure no one else endures the suffering I went through. It is a curious fact that Isaac Asimov wrote this story in the first place (1). Thanks to the monotonous and repetitive nature of the writing, no one will ever remember the title of the story or (for sure) the author (1). While he advances toward the right direction, the majority of instances of Multivac either exhibit antiquity or rely on indefinite concepts out of reach. Not to mention [t]he cold, clicking, flashing face miles and miles of face of that giant computer clearly before our time (1). Heavy reliance on inapplicable perceptions and theories undermines Asimov s credibility and increases the growing distance between his writing and the reader. On the other hand, the Universal AC in hyperspace in some unimaginable form or entities like Man fused with AC just seem so far fetched (7, 9). However, Hollywood is about selling dreams and fantasy, though the reality is quite different. The reality is that sex work is dangerous. The act in and of itself is not usually dangerous, nevertheless, the situations in which it needs to be conducted are. Today s sex work incorporates more than just prostitution; the adult film industry, Dom/Sub work, phone sex operators, together with exotic dancing are all considered sex work. The focus of this essay has been narrowed down to just the prostitution aspect of sex work and the decriminalization for the means of creating a safer environment for the worker. Decriminalization of this particular type of sex work would render the job safer for the workers given that they would have the ability to screen clients, an established place of employment, safety in numbers, a positive relationship with law enforcement, and enhanced means to protect themselves from health risks. Screening of the clients is a key aspect of keeping the sex workers safe. Screening the clients is a lot about reading people, their clothes, their attitude, how they hold themselves and trusting the experience of the worker s instinct. The screening process will not work every single time, however, the ability to make the decision to go with a client or not can save the workers life. Escorts and

Causes And Effects Of The MongolsFacilision On Eurasia Between 1200CE 1500CE, the Mongol Empire affected Eurasia through facilitating trade, exchanging money, collecting tribute, spreading the plague, diffusing technology, eradicating bandits on trade networks, and attacking the city of Caffa along with their influence on the acceleration of the Black Death plague. Insert Contextualization paragraph about Aztecs, Incas in the Americas One major effect of Mongol expansion on Eurasia was the Mongols Facilitation of Trade. This effect is similar to how the Mongols collected tribute from foreign travelers with the introduction of Kublai Khans decree that was issued in 1278. The Mongol Empire always favored trade and this was a very fortunate thing for the worlds nations, especially for the West. When the Mongols began to conquer land and rise to power, they opened themselves up to trade and reopened the Great Silk Road Trade Network. This was possible because the Mongols and the Golden Horde cleared out bandits during their conquests that had made merchants and travelers afraid to go on with their business. The Mongols also created rest stops and had fortified outposts along the GSR and helped caravans across the network. Because of this, trade contacts increased exponentially starting around 1250. This also had to do with Pax Mongolica which was the peace that the Mongols had created around Eurasia since they began to unify it. The Mongols facilitation of trade and their openings of trade all around Eurasia is what shifted trade to the west and began the diffusion of different technologies. According to the information from Marco Polo in Document 1, the Mongols were smart and wealthy people who lived by their skills and trade. Marco Polo goes on to explain how even the merchants had the spirits of soldiers and the people in general had what it took to conquer the whole world. Another major effect of Mongol expansion on Eurasia was the Exchange of Money around the entirety of Eurasia by the Mongols. This is a similar effect that ties in with the Mongols facilitation of trade and collection of tribute. With the collection of tribute from foreign travelers conducting business in Mongol territory and the spread of trade throughout all of Eurasia caused by the

  • 35. Metaachromatic Leukodystrophy Research Paper Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) is a disorder which results in the inability to break down sulfatides in the lysosome of oligodendrocytes. The name is of greek origin, Leuko meaning white, dys meaning lack, and troph meaning growth. As a Leukodystrophy, the name implies that the disease is lacking growth in the white matter of the brain. The inability to break down sulfatides in the lysosomal complexes of the cell lead to the degeneration of the myelin sheath which are produced by oligodendrocytes. This disease is most commonly associated with the inability to produce Arylsulfatase A (ASA), a protein that works to catalyze the breakdown of sulfatides by hydrolyzing the 3 O ester bond [1]. MLD is commonly associated with infants as most cases occur while the patient is young, typically from 12 20 months post birth. However, Juvenile and late onset MLD also exists in which symptoms arise later on in life. The time of onset depends on the type of mutation the individual has. There are currently three ways to slow the progression of MLD, they are the Enzyme replacement therapy, the stem cell based therapy, and gene

Military discipline is a special form of military relations. Its specifics lie in coordinating the conduct and actions of military personnel and in serving to establish such relations as are required for successful joint activity. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... All enlistees, both as personalities and members of definite service and public structures (including those with a negative impact on discipline), their relations and degree of activity form in the aggregate the disciplinary system of an element (unit). Psychological support for troops has emerged as a necessity because this kind of work can deal, to a considerable extent, with a set of specific psychological problems arising within disciplinary systems at all levels, not the lower echelons alone, as is often believed. Occasionally it is just the matter of an enlistee being unprepared for discipline abiding lifestyle (ignorance of army regulations, orders and regulatory documents). Sometimes, however, psychological problems stem from clearly expressed anti disciplinary attitudes in some or other serviceman, which attitudes tend to disorganize military activities, mixing, and off duty routine. Two groups of disciplinary psychological problems are identified. First, inadequacy (weakness, instability, incompleteness, and unfinished nature) of individual, group or organizational mechanisms for normative behavior and control thereof as is revealed by practice; certain enlistees lack the required disciplinary motivation and/or they cannot behave in an organized way in conformity with the regulations, rules, laws, and military traditions. Military command and control agencies, for their part, do not have enough energy and skills to
