The results of the 2010 IGDA demographic survey of the alternate reality games player and developer communities. Also salary survey results for ARG professionals.
This document provides a welcome speech given by Mary, an assistant lecturer. She welcomes the chief guest, founder and chairman of the Ebenezer Educational Charitable Trust, wife of the founder, guest of honor, police inspector, former principal, bank CEOs, pastor, directors, principals, vice principal, staff, students and parents to the lamp lighting and graduation day celebration. She thanks each person or group for their attendance and contributions.
This survey collected demographic information from 99 respondents involved with alternate reality games (ARGs). The majority (74.7%) identified as ARG players, while smaller percentages identified as grassroots (23.2%) or independent (27.3%) ARG developers. Most respondents had played multiple ARGs, with 36.3% having played more than five total and 48% having played one or two in the last 12 months. Respondents were predominantly male (61.1%), aged 26-35 (21.6%), residing in the United States (78.4%), and white (91.9%).
The document summarizes the results of a survey about presentation skills and habits. The key findings include:
- Microsoft PowerPoint is the most commonly used presentation software, used by 54% of respondents.
- Most respondents view and deliver 1-6 presentations per year.
- Respondents believe they need more practice rehearsing, as on average they only rehearse 1-3 hours per presentation.
- Advice from respondents focuses on preparing well, avoiding reading slides, using fewer words on slides, and practicing delivery.
The document summarizes survey results about betting pools in workplaces. It finds that 70% of respondents participate in office betting pools, with March Madness and the Super Bowl being the most common events bet on. While some argue betting pools are unethical or reduce productivity, most respondents say they are appropriate and a positive influence on workplace morale. The majority spend less than 30 minutes on pools each day and entry fees are usually $25 or less, with winners getting $100 or less. Respondents indicate the primary drivers for participation are harmless fun, improving coworker relationships, and winning money. Overall, 55% view the impact of office betting pools on their workplace as positive.
This document summarizes the results of a survey about presentation skills and habits. Some key findings include:
- PowerPoint 2007 was the most commonly used presentation software, used by 36% of respondents.
- Nearly half of respondents deliver or view over 25 presentations per year. However, only 30% rehearse for more than 2 hours and 16% rehearse 5 or more hours.
- Respondents rated the average presentation in their organizations a mediocre 5.56 out of 10.
- The top factors cited for what goes wrong in presentations were lack of preparation, not understanding the audience, presenting by reading slides, and using too much text.
This is the full results deck for the 2012 Flash Games Market Survey, conducted by Mochi Media and our survey partners Adobe and FGL.com.
Now in our 4th year, Mochi Media conducts this annual survey to "take the pulse" of the Flash games industry.
Due to lowered barriers and improvements in technology, we are seeing an evolution of the Flash games industry, where old labels of "Flash game developer" and "mobile game developer" are being replaced with simply "game developer".
The Relationship Between Development Problems and Use of Software Engineering...SoftwarePractice
The document reports on two surveys of computational science and engineering (CSE) developers regarding their use of software engineering practices and experiences with common development problems. The surveys found that while most developers believe they have sufficient knowledge of software engineering, they experience frequent issues like rework, performance problems, and regression errors. Production developers view problems as more severe and use software engineering practices more than researchers. Many practices have not been widely adopted in CSE due to lack of knowledge about how to apply them.
In 2008 Freelanceswitch published a survey 'to find common threads, traits, and data about people' working as freelancers. Respondents were from around the globe.
The report presents a good base for how much clients all over the world are willing to pay for services offered by freelancers.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
