1. Rain Main Organizer for Inferring
In a lot of writing and movies, the creators don’t directly tell what will happen or what the meaning of an action is. They
avoid “on the nose” dialog. To understand something well, you must be able to infer.
For each fact, write down what it makes you think and why.
Fact What does this make you think? Why?
Charlie’s father left him in jail for two
days while his friends’ fathers got
them out immediately.
Charlie left his home and never called
his father.
Charlie remembers the “Rain Man”
made him feel better when he was a
small boy.
Charlie puts sun lotion on Raymond.
He also buys him a TV.
Raymond becomes very upset when
