1. “ Taiwan Public Mood Index” August 2009 TPMI falls to a record low since Ma and his administration took office in May last year.

4. OSTI this month DPP’s trust index is only 0.4 point lower than that of ruling KMT’s. This is the smallest gap between the two parties’ trust indexes since the survey started in June 2006.
5. POI this month Taiwanese people are dissatisfied with the relief efforts performance of Ma’s administration. DPP may impeach President Ma, while the court is expected to hand out a verdict on the corruption case against former DPP President Chen Shui-bian and his family on September 11. These factors all lead the domestic political index to drop.
