2. Dwi Riska Pratiwi (06)
3. Novi Yuristasari (19)
4. Shofia Salsabilah (25)
2. The properties of a kite are
as follows :
A
• Two pairs of the adjacent sides are equal,
namely AB = AD and BC = DC .
• One pairs of opposite angles is equal, that
B D is
E
<ABC = <ADC
• One of diagonals bisects the kite, that is
<ABC = <ADC or AC is the axis of
simmetry.
• Diagonals are perpendiculator to each
other and one of the diagonals bisects the
C other, that is, AC BD and BE=ED
3. Perimeter and Area of kite
A
If perimeter (K) and area (L) of the kite are
as follows
Perimeter of kite is,
B D
K= AB+BC+CD+DE
Area of kite is,
L= ½×AC×BD or L= ½× d₁× d₂
C
4. EXAMPLE OF QUESTIONS
AND
HOW THE SOLUTION
Andi made a kite with its diagonal of 30cm and 50cm
long.
What is the area of the kite made by Andi?
Solution :
Given : d₁= 30 cm and d₂= 59 cm
Question : The area of the kite
Solution : For example,the area of Andi’s kite is A cm², then
A= ½ × d₁ × d₂
A= ½ × 30 cm × 50 cm
So,the area of Andi’s kite is 225 cm².
