Question 1.
The Church of All Worlds was established by the main character in Robert Heinlein's
Stranger in a Strange Land. In 1968 a group of believers created an organization by
the same name which reflected similar ideas. According to their official website :
"While CAW [Church of All Worlds] members express a broad spectrum of personal
magic's and beliefs, what brings us together is a shared set of values: immanent
divinity (expressed as "Thou art God/dess"); self-knowledge and personal
responsibility; deep friendship and tribal intimacy; positive sexuality; living in
harmony with the natural world; and appreciation of the diverse nature of human
beings.“
Similarly IDIC ( Short for Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combination ) reflects the
philosophical outlook of the ________ . In short, it means “to each his own.” In
includes the understanding that variety is good, and that we progress to new and
better understandings by encountering new ideas.
If The church of all Worlds is based on the main character in Stranger in a Strange
Land , give me what this religion (IDIC )is based on and the movie connect . ( 3

appearance . He remarked that his mother would force him to stand at the

later be reflected in X's films.
He once said that his father wanted to punish him for a wrongdoing . So he
sent him to the local police station with a note asking the officer to lock him
away for 10 minutes as punishment for behaving badly . X was traumatized by
the 10 minute period when he was locked up , so the characters in his movies

in jail for a drive-by shooting, and the 16-year-old girl who had testified against
him had been murdered. That was when Catalan found himself in jail as
Suspect Number 1 in a homicide investigation of the 16 year old witness.
Fortunately, he had an airtight alibi: He and his 6-year-old daughter had been
at a Dodgers game at the time of the murder. He even had the ticket stubs to
prove it .However ,unfortunately , It turned out the ticket stubs weren't
compelling-enough evidence, no footage of him and his daughter could be
found, and the police refused to allow him to take that lie detector test .

and he was released .
So what was this new piece of evidence ?

Question 10.
X is a extremely graphic, cult classic film . It is the inspirational precursor of the
faux-documentary "found-footage" smash hit The Blair Witch Project
(1999) and indeed the first found footage movie to be ever made. It was filled
with violent, grisly, and disturbing images with unbelievable scenes of graphic
violence (including castration and breast impalement). It was also banned
and controversial for its extreme violence. The film's most notorious scene
included the discovery of the impalement of the young woman on a pole.
The movie was so convincing that for their work on the film, the director and
the producer were arrested by authorities on suspicion of murder charges and
faced life in prison, following its 1980 Milan premiere. They endured a trial when
Italian authorities were unconvinced that the footage was indeed staged. The
director lost the original trial, and all prints were to be destroyed, but he
managed to have the ruling overturned in the early '80s when the actors finally
appeared on TV to prove otherwise. Some five years passed before the film
saw release in director's home country. This movie was banned for twenty
years in certain countries, including the UK.

Question 17.
X’s death in 2009 brought untouched topics of extreme sexual practices into a grisly
spotlight. While in Bangkok shooting a film, the 72-year-old star was found dead,
hanging from a rope in the closet of his hotel room.
Footage from hotel security cameras showed that X was alone in his room, but
despite his wife's assertions to the contrary, media and law enforcement originally
speculated that X had committed suicide. However, further information revealed
that the rope around X's neck was also connected to his genitals, suggesting that his
death was the result of autoerotic asphyxiation, or the practice of constricting air
supply in order to enhance a sexual experience.
X's ex-wife Marina Anderson confirmed publicly that he had indeed engaged in
"deviant" and "potentially deadly" sexual behavior, supporting the autoerotic
asphyxiation hypothesis .
X has appeared in more than 100 feature films and was nominated four times for a

The making of X had consequences which overshadowed the film itself. During
the filming of a segment directed by John Landis on July 23, 1982, actor Vic
Morrow and child actors Myca Dinh Le (age 7) and Renee Shin-Yi Chen (age
6) died in an accident involving a helicopter being used on the set. The
helicopter was flying at an altitude of only 25 feet (8 meters), too low to avoid
the explosions of the pyrotechnics used on set. When the blasts severed the
tail rotor, it spun out of control and crashed, decapitating Morrow and Le with
its blades. Chen was crushed to death as the helicopter crashed. Everyone
inside the helicopter survived sustaining minor injuries.
The accident led to legal action against the filmmakers which lasted nearly a
decade, and changed the regulations involving children working on movie
sets at night and during special effects-heavy scenes. Hollywood also avoided
helicopter-related stunts for many years .The incident ended the friendship
between director Landis and producer Spielberg, who was already angered
before the accident that Landis had violated many codes, including using live
ammunition on the set.

It is the inspirational precursor of the faux-documentary "found-footage" smash hit The Blair Witch Project (1999) and indeed the first found footage movie to be ever made. It was filled with violent, grisly, and disturbing images with unbelievable scenes of graphic violence (including castration and breast impalement). It was also banned and controversial for its extreme violence. The film's most notorious scene included the discovery of the impalement of the young woman on a pole. The movie was so convincing that for their work on the film, the director and the producer were arrested by authorities on suspicion of murder charges and faced life in prison, following its 1980 Milan premiere. They endured a trial when Italian authorities were unconvinced that the footage was indeed staged. The director lost the original trial, and all prints were to be destroyed, but he managed to have the ruling overturned in the early '80s when the actors finally appeared on TV to prove otherwise. Some five years passed before the film saw release in director's home country. This movie was banned for twenty years in certain countries, including the UK. Just name the movie

  • 88. Question 17. X’s death in 2009 brought untouched topics of extreme sexual practices into a grisly spotlight. While in Bangkok shooting a film, the 72-year-old star was found dead, hanging from a rope in the closet of his hotel room. Footage from hotel security cameras showed that X was alone in his room, but despite his wife's assertions to the contrary, media and law enforcement originally speculated that X had committed suicide.
