Motivation
Why I am in Advertising?
Ans: I am a curious person. Particularly
curious about humans. Human psychology,
human traits, human relationships etc.
Advertising feeds my this curiosity of
human mystery.
What keeps me going in Advertising?
Ans: My enthusiasm for learning, my love
for jingles and my curiosity.
Advertising is all about
TVC’s, radio spots and
jingles!
Slippers, shorts and
bean bags.
Advertising is
glamorous!
Most chilled out
profession.
Perceptions
It is all about being
creative
Ground Reality
It is also about E-
mailers, flyers,
standees, boards,
booklets & much
more.
Management is of
equal importance in
advertising. It is not all
‘creativity’.
It is also about
dressing up smartly
for your meetings

challenge each day.

Key Tasks Undertaken :-
• Competition Scan for Fortis
• Attempt at writing the brief for ‘Fortis Operating
System’
• Worked on ‘Know your Hospital’ booklet
• Assisted in making several artworks which includes
online portals, BLS certificate.
• Billboard ads of ‘Zero Repeat Charges’.
Learnings :-
• Punctuality and discipline is the key for client
servicing
• A client servicing person should assist studio people
effectively
• Brief given to Creatives should be self sufficient in
explaining the objective
• A little mistake can cost much. Hence, Handle each
art-work with care
• Have amiable relations with creatives people also, so
that they do not delay.

• Market Research for apple products
• Understanding BTS program
• Market Research for various stores and apple advertising
• Discussed the BTS radio brief and Busting the myths brief
• Competition scan
• Written brief for short film for schools
Learnings
Think a lot, before you bombard
your boss with ideas.
Read a lot, stay updated, discuss
your idea with various people to
get different perspectives.
Articulate the relevant data. Get
sense out of research and then
encapsulate it.
This brand taught me what is
‘Relevant Research’ .
Before:
Knew two facts
• It is a cigarette brand
• Media dark category
After:
• Detailed understanding of cigarette
category
• Vendors made me sit and literally
explained the market in detail
Learnings from mentors:
Be fearless, responsible and know your work. Period.
She taught me relevant research and the tactics involved. Advertising can be a mess
at times, but patience and determination is all you need to stay strong!
