There are rainforests located in Central America, South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia. The largest rainforest is the Amazon rainforest. Rainforests have high biodiversity and about half of the world's animal species live in them. Some common rainforest animals include sloths, poison dart frogs, elephants, tigers, and kangaroos. Rainforests have high annual rainfall, varying temperatures, and provide habitat for many species.
