  2. initial reaction my initial reaction to this project was overall positive. since I have full creative will I could choose something that will be easier or something that I could do a lot with. I like the idea of creating a brand and then creating things to go with it, for example; a logo, a tv advertisement and mock-up posters.
  3. mind map initial ideas perfume/ clothing/ makeup/ skincare brand new "creative" children's toy music video & advertisements short movie set With advertisements, poster mock-ups, logo and a catchphrase/ jingle A bunch of short movies, a few episodes of a show? Helps with learning/ really safe/ something with new "innovative" ideas
  4. mood board
  5. Mood Board Analysis Some repeated features in my mood board was pink, very feminine, typical "girly" things and dainty bottles where nothing looks chunky or over simplified. I chose to do something very cutesy and fancy but still childish and pink. My mood board has given me an idea on what I want my product to look like and how and what style I can create advertisements for it.
  6. Influence/Inspiration My main inspiration for choosing to do this style of project was my interests outside of college. I like overly- feminine things and love everything pink and glittery and dainty. I also like things that aren't typically mainstream such as chunky silver or gold things, I prefer to have something that is small and simplistic but still pretty.
  7. Influence/Inspiration Some products that I took a lot of inspiration from was the "Go Chic pink bike perfume", the "daisy love by Marc Jacobs perfume" and . I really liked how the bottles looked and how they are extra but still look pretty and don't look over the top or clunky. I want to do something similar to these, where the bottle has a cute theme that either looks cute on its own or has a little theme. Just like how one of these is a bike, one is a flower, and one is a butterfly.
  8. Influence/Inspiration One more inspiration for me choosing this style of project was how a lot of young women and teenagers are starting to get over their "I hate pink" phases that they were in because of social standards. There have been many women who now admit that they now love pink and cutesy things after hating them while growing up. I found this interesting because I went through the same thing, I was a tomboy when I was younger so I believed that I couldn’t like pink or feminine things however now I love them.
  9. Why are you making this project? I am making this style of project because I saw a friends work from last year which was in a similar style, and I thought that it looked very pretty and professional. I also think that it’s a change from what I usually choose to make for projects so it could be appreciated more as I'm stepping out of my comfort zone to do filming.
  10. Hopes for the FMP My hopes for the fmp are that I make a design, name, brand & logo and an advertisement that I am completely happy with. I hope to finish ahead of schedule so I can go over any mistakes or things I want to change/ improve. I hope to have a theme that everything uses so it all matches nicely. I would also like to try some new ways of editing is that my advertisement looks good and professional.
  11. Potential Research Activities Some potential research activities I can do to prepare me for my fmp are: -look at how other brands have created their product, what they use to persuade viewers to buy it and where they choose to advertise and why. -look at popular styles, colors, fonts etc are popular. -surveys
  12. Strengths and Limitations Some of my strengths are design, editing and most digital aspects, my limitations are in psychical things such as filming, directing and organizing things for filming etc. One specific strength I have is that, in my opinion, I am good at coming up with and designing themes. I like creating things that match and pair nicely together to let the viewer have a pleasant experience. One specific limitation I have is that I get in my head a lot, so I tend to play it safe when editing or trying out new things.
  13. inspiration One person that inspired me a lot was jimmy choo. The few times that any jimmy choo perfume would get gifted in my family, I would smell it all of the time. I loved it so much because it was strong but sweet and very flattering. As I got older, I started noticing it In advertisements and started to love the design on the boxes/ bottles etc. I really love how simple it is, but it still makes a statement, the gold shines brightly in difference to the suede bags, boxes. Jimmy choo is a Malaysian designer who got famous from his designer shoes made for women. His company was founded in 1996 in cooperation with British Vogue accessories editor Tamara Mellon.
  14. inspiration Another person that inspired me to make this style of project was coco chanel. I have always loved the style and branding of coco chanel products because they look cute and dainty and not bulky. The colours are always complimentary to each other, and the packaging is always sweet and simple. Gabrielle Bonheur "Coco" Chanel was interesting to me because she was a French fashion designer and businesswoman. The founder and namesake of the Chanel brand. Chanel, the brand was founded in 1910, it gained popularity due to the now-classic innovations as the woman's suit, the quilted purse, costume jewellery, and the “little black dress.”
  15. inspiration Another person that inspired me to make this style of project was Paco Rabanne. I have loved the Paco Rabanne aesthetic and designs since my auntie and nana started wearing Olympia and Lady Million. The bottle of Olympia especially caught my eye because it was almost angelic with the side pieces and the pink/ rose gold and silver theme. Since 1986, the Puig group has owned the entire Paco Rabanne house, this resulted in the company marketing his perfumes. In 1969, his first and most popular scent called Calandre would be released. In 1976, the company built a perfume factory in Chartres, France The CEO for Paco Rabanne is Bastien Daguzan.
