MAJ102 – XtraNormal Tutorial
“If You Can Type, You Can Make Movies”
This lesson will introduce you to the features in XtraNormal.com, a
website that allows you to create short, basic animated movies. For this
tutorial, we’ll create a 2 character scene “knock‐knock” joke.
Step 1:
Visit www.xtranormal.com and click on “Create Account” in the upper right corner.
Step 2: Choose the “Playgoz” / 2 Actors set.
Step 3: Customize your scene
Camera
Animations
Expressions Script your scene here.
Looks
Points
Pauses
Sounds
Press “Action” to render
your scene
Click here to change the
Scene, Music and your Actors

Choose background music, Intro or Outro tracks
Step 4: Start Scripting Your Movie
Type the script dialogue for your actor, then click
the “+” sign to add the next script.
Your finished script should look like this ‐‐‐‐‐
To PREVIEW your movie, press ACTION. (It will
take a short while to render. Be patient.)
