also known as MSIE. They come as a part of the Microsoft Windows
operating systems. It has been the most widely used web browser since
1999. IE11 on Windows7 is the latest version, which has improved
performance with faster page loading, faster interactivity, and faster
JavaScript performance, while reducing CPU usage and improving
battery life on mobile PCs.

Mozilla Firefox is a free web browser and is designed by Mozilla
Corporation. It is the second most popular browser in terms of current
use worldwide. Latest Firefox features include tabbed browsing, spell
checking, incremental find, and live book marking. Firefox runs on
various versions of Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and many
other Unix like operating systems.

5. Apple Safari
Safari is a web browser developed by Apple. It was initially released as a
public beta on January 7, 2003 on the company’s Mac OS X v10.3
“Panther”. Safari is also the native browser for the iPhone OS. A version of
Safari for the Microsoft Windows operating system was released on June
11, 2007 which supports Windows XP, Service Pack2 and later, but it had
been discontinued. The current stable release of the browser is 5.1.7. The

Netscape Navigator, a product of the Netscape Communications
Corporation, was a very popular web browser in 1990s. Although
by 2002 its usage had almost disappeared. One of the major reasons
for its disappearance was the popularity of Microsoft’s Internet
Explorer and other web browsers.

Google Chrome is a freeware web browser developed by Google. It was
first released as a beta version for Microsoft Windows on 2 September
2008 and the full version was released on 11 December 2008. in
December 2009, Chrome was the third most widely used browser.
Google Chrome aims to improve security, speed, and stability. In June
2013, according to Stat Counter, Chrome overtook Internet Explorer for
the first time in the US. As of August 2013, Chrome was used by 43% of
the internet users worldwide. Google Chrome is available in 53
languages.
