Topic: Analyzing with ANOVA (two-way ANOVA)                          GRADE: 100/100 Points/Argosy University Course: Psych

As school psycologist in a classsroom setting, my focus is to determne the effect that five teaching
styles have on three types of learning activities. This being the case, in this scenario, the independent
variables comprise of five different sections pertaining to five different styles of teaching offering a
comparison and correlation with three different types of learning activities (Group A, B and C).
The treatment group will address two sample populations for each style of teaching.

This method entails utilization of the (f) test "which is the mean square for each main effect and
the interaction effect divided by the within variance." (Argosy, 2010).

Assignment questions completed:
The independent variables are the five different sections (five different Teaching Styles 1 thru 5 inclusively.)
Whereas, the dependent variables are the three different groups of Learning Activity (Groups A, B, and C)
Measurement instrument: is utilization of a Two-way ANOVA via SPSS methodology,charts, and graphics.
An appropriate null hypothesis would state there are no significant statistical differences from any events,
occurrences, or chances between the five different styles of teaching and the three different groups of
learning activities.  (Groups A, B, and C) Whereas, the experimental hypothesis demonstrates significant
differences between (Style /2) with low test scores at 95 in reference to the effects measured by utilizing Teaching Style (2) ve



The confidence level is .05 or equivalent to 95%
The (f) values using the above chart raw data are as follows:
1) Teaching = 12.393 (Large (f) value and very significant based on .05 Sig level
2) Activity = 28.283 (Large (f) value and also very significant based on .05 Sig level for three Groups of Learning Activities A,
3) When combining Teaching and Activity: (f) value = 1.993 which exceeded .05 or 95% Confidence level (Significant)
(f) values are best defined as "the mean square for each main effect and the interaction effect divided by the within variance" (

Conclusions:

It was determined that Teaching Style (2) when compared to Learning Activity C (or (3) in SPSS lacked appropriate eff
and this particular instructor may wish to avoid its use as this would take its toll with decline in local District School Federal and
toward this particular School District. (I.e. If Style (2) had been applied to students via Learning Activity (3) at local Sa
it may result in decreased disbursements of state and federal grant monies to benefit the students at Balboa.

Comparatively, if Balboa School might prefer to utilize Styles (1) with Learning Activity (A) or (listed in SPSS as Learning Activ
yield higher proof of test scores and demonstrate a more positive interaction (Refer to line graphs for Teaching versus Activity
a comparison of all styles (5) of teaching in relation to the effect of the various Learning Activities (Groups A, B, and C) or (SPS
with Act (Activity 1 and 2 revealing higher margins of test score results than Style (2) with Learning Activity (3).

Therefore, these results are statistically significant with high (f) values listed above and on SPSS Chart: Labeled: Tests of B
