1. Camera shot:
By the identity of indie rock music, many camera
shots of instrumental performance have been seen in
the music video, and the location of the song usuallyis
the stage or the studio. We filmed in the studio, but
we did not use any close ups of the actor because we
used the long shots of the studio to suit the pace of
the song, because the dance scene is fast while we
used close up’s for slower and more emotional
moments such as at the museum. You could not tell
that we were in a studio due to the candles overlay.
We filmed the music video using the chosen
camera angles so that the audience has a better
understanding of the narrative. (Include
The reason we chose this way is we think it can
bring the audience into our story, which can well
represent the theme of the story.
To achieve this idea, we used a lots long shot and
medium shot which are main shot which usually
in the film, such as in ‘Pride and Prejudice’, the

location. In our music video, long shot is also
used as the shot to show the location, such as
the long shot of Bronte walk along the street; the
shot is showed the street of the museum.

often used in a music video. Close up is a must in
a music video to create the star image and visual
pleasure audience, no matter what genre is the
star.Some of the video used big close up and
extreme close up such as in the video of
‘Nobody’s Perfect’ by Jessie J, in the video a big
close up is used at the classis of the song to
represent her emotion and also enlarged her star
image. But in our music video, we used the close
up instead the big close up to create her star
image and represent her moon because her face
is not characterized, we think big close up and
extreme close up will be too much, and other
reason is the limitation of the camera we used,

3. even the camera is in HD, but its quality of the
picture is not very good when zoom in. In our
music video close up could be seen at the
beginning when she is doing lip-syncs.
